My girlfriend is trying to learn norwegian im looking for episodes with norwegian dub and subtitles simultaneously
If you use a vpn you can see them on the state broadcasting channel NRK. They'll have subs in Norwegian. Episodes will be up as long as they are still aired on tv. So availability comes and goes.
If you don't have a working vpn you have to hope it's still popular enough to be pirated.

Nope, still thinking about moomin and Hufsa (whose name I refuse to learn or acknowledge in English). Scared the shit out of me as a kid.

Hey y'all who like Moomin! There's coming a Moomin game from the Norwegian Film Institute sometime in the future! If any of y'all are interested, check out some of the news!
Tumblr media
"Snusmumrikken skal bli et eventyrspill inspirert av blant annet The Legend of Zelda, satt til Tove Janssons Mummi-univers. Her skal Snusmumrikken beskytte Mummidalen mot Parkvakten som gjør store inngripen i dalen."
"Snufkin will be an adventure game inspired by the Legend of Zelda, with characters and settings from Tove Janssons Moomin-universe. Here Snufkin will protect Moominvalley against the Park Rangers who wish to make big changes to it." (Translation by yours truly, may be a bit funky, apologies.)
This game is being made by the Norwegian studio Hyper Games, who got five million NOK by NFI to fund the game. If you want to check it out, here's a link to their website. Y'all, this looks like a cute game, and support them if you're interested!

Random thought sharing, but I've gotten back into the Mumintrollen lately and I just realized Norway would kind of fit as the Grandmother Witch from the 90s show. Which is kind of funny, because I absolutely see Finland in Mumin's role. xD
lol, living secluded and alone in the forest under a big tree, cursing people, brewing strange mixtures, and flying around on a broom? Seems about right 😂 does that mean Iceland is Alicia?
I always saw Norway more as Snusmumriken. He was my father's favourite character and so I really connect his calm demeanour and love of the outdoors (friluftslivmenneske) to peak Norwegian 😂 he always have to wander around

A little personal update on my Norwegian progress: the other day, I walked home listening to an episode of Moomin in Norwegian that I’ve already watched a while ago. The first time I watched it, I caught the basic sense of what was happening. Now, I understood almost everything (save for some mumbled/fast words/sentences)!!! I haven’t been this elated or inspired by my language progress in some time, it’s really felt like I’ve overcome the plateau I was experiencing the past month or two.
Take this as advice to go back to episodes/books/podcasts, you might have studied in the beginning of your language learning, and see how much more you understand now!
