Daphne & Roni - Ronnie's home @itsronniebish
She'd kept the address tucked in her bag since the day she was told it was where she could find her sister. She doubted the person behind the door would be the Veronica Bishop. The very big-eyed little girl whom Daphne had to her great dismay at one point shared a bathroom with- what she wouldn't give to yell at her sister for using her favorite shampoo one more time. It was the only true lead she had in answers- not that the townies had been any damn help at all. Some insisted Roni was in fact breathing and living it up in a town that felt far too small despite Darian not having been much larger. And another insisting her deceased body had been brought here- a bull shit excuse that her sister had been living some sort of double life in a city she had not once mentioned. Daphne did not buy it so instead of hunting down autopsy reports first she sat on it for a couple weeks before deciding to knock on the door where her sister's doppelganger lived and apparently had at least stolen her identity. She wondered how trashed her credit would be now if that was the case as she stood outside the door waiting for the lock to disengage and the door to swing open.
Of all the things Daphne had imagined she was not prepared for what faced her on the other side of the door. Her heart seemed to miss several beats; she was dead herself. The breath ceased in her lungs and a struggling sound of shock and grief caused her lips to tremble in an attempt to say something...anything at all. "Are you fucking kidding me?" She whispered and before Ronnie could do something stupid like slam the door on her older sister Daphne pushed the door the rest of the way open and invited herself into Ronnie's home. She wrapped her arms around her sister's body and pulled her close to her body. Daphne's body shook as she restrained the sobs that had been building since she'd laid eyes on the very much alive little sister. "We buried you!" She shouted pushing outward to hold Ronnie out at arm's length to get a real good look at her. She looked unharmed, alive. A little pale but nothing a little self-tanner couldn't handle.
Tears blurred her vision and Daphne was so fucking sure she would be sick the longer she stood there holding her sister the more it dawned on her and the relief that had flooded her system barreled into leftover grief and quickly exploded into disbelief and rage. "How could you be so fucking cruel Veronica?!" She shouted gently shoving her sister as she cried in disbelief. "You were dead. There was so much blood and we mourned you. I mourned you. I've been mourning you for months and you've been what? Living your Gone Gilmore more Girl fantasy?" The funeral had been an all-black affair, stoic as the wealthy tend to be. The nicest flowers money could be, the best finger foods. It's a celebration of her life. There was no body tho, "We buried an empty box. A real nice one if you cared at all about anyone but apparently yourself." She accused, "Come on Ron give me your best excuse to why you would put us all through this. I mean I can understand not telling Mister and Mrs. Bishop," She referred to their parents cooly, "But me? but us? That's fucked up." She concluded wiping at the tears that had streaked her face with mascara. "Real bitch move."

The Kray Brothers are not the type of people I typically include in these profiles. My focus is been primarily people who have made a contribution to Gay Rights or Gay History. The Kray brother fall into that latter category - Gay Gangsters.
Tumblr media
The Krays owned a West End nightclub and were often photographed with celebrities, including Diana Dors and Judy Garland. Frank Sinatra once hired a security team from the Krays during a visit to London. They were also once photographer by David Bailey.
Tumblr media
But their real source of income was an organized crime gang in London's East End during the 1950s and 1960s. They called it “the Firm”. This included armed robberies, arson, protection rackets, violent assaults, torture and murder.
According to reports by other gang members Ronnie Kray was openly gay, refusing to hide his orientation from either them or the police.
Laurie O'Leary who wrote a biography of Ronnie said:
“Ron discussed his homosexuality with very few people, but put simply it was a part of his nature he discovered, explored and enjoyed… It did not seem to conflict with his tough guy. Even if (gang members) objected, Ron just smiled at them and told them they didn't know what they were missing.”
John Pearson who interviewed both brothers, wrote that
“Ronnie Kray admitted that he and Reggie discovered they were both gay in their adolescence and would often have sex together, activity which continued into their later life.”
The secret became public when the Sunday Mirror reported that Ronnie Kray was in a sexual relationship with Lord Boothby, a UK Conservative Party politician. The twins threatened the reporters who wrote the story with physical harm. And Boothby threatened to sue. The newspaper backed down, fired its editor, printed an apology plus paid Boothby £40,000 in an out-of-court settlement. This discourage any other news outlet from pursuing the story.

But police continued investigating and were finally able to get evidence of three murders.
The Krays and 15 other members of the Firm were arrested in May 1968 with the plan to convince gang members to testify against the Krays. It eventually worked and the twins were convicted in 1969. Both were sentenced to life prison.
While in prison Ronnie was eventually certified insane (paranoid schizophrenia) and was transferred to Broadmoor Hospital for the rest of his sentence. He died in March 1995 from a heart attack.
Reggie died 5 years later from cancer (October 2000). He had been released 2 months earlier on compassionate grounds to spend his final time with his wife (who he married 3 years earlier while in prison).
After Reggie’s death, Bradley Allardyce a cell mate of his said to the press:
“I am openly admitting for the very first time that we had a sexual relationship."
Two films have been made about the Krays.
“The Krays” (1990) starring Gary and Martin Kemp (of the band Spandau Ballet).
Tumblr media
Legend (2015 film) starring Tom Hardy as both twins.

CJ McMahon, former singer of band Thy Art is Murder posted a thanking video on his Instagram stories after the shameful and outrageous split-up the band made with him.
He especially thanked Ronnie Radke (Falling In Reverse), Tommy Vext (Pureblood, formerly Bad Wolves) and Alex Terrible (Slaughter To Prevail) for the kind and open support.

Ronnie DeFeo - Amityville
Horror or Hoax?
October 14, 1975 – Ronald DeFeo Jr. goes on trial for the murders of Ronald DeFeo sr., his wife Dawn and their four children Dawn, Allison, Marc and John. On the evening of November 13 the previous year, Ronald entered a local bar and told of his parents being shot and killed in their home. On arrival, the full shocking scene was discovered – the entire family was shot dead in their beds. At first Ronald Jr said he believed the murders to be a hit by the mob, but he was soon confessing that he was in fact the perpetrator. Many aspects of the case were confusing – the family appeared to have been shot dead in their beds, most of them while asleep, and without a struggle. No one heard the gunshots even though the murder weapon did not use a silencer. At one point DeFeo also claimed he was possessed and that the devil made him do it. His attorney argued for an insanity defense, but this was denied, and Ronald DeFeo Jr was sentenced to six consecutive life sentences of 25 years to life. He is still in jail to this day. Recent investigations (both amateur and professional) have dug up evidence that may suggest he was not alone in carrying out the murders and that a second weapon was used. The DeFeo’s Amityville home was soon sold to the Lutz family who made claims that it was haunted, which resulted in the Amityville Horror book and movies.
