Magnificent and Historic Natural pearl and diamond tiara/necklace

"One of the most important tiaras to appear at auction in recent years, this royal tiara dates to the second half of the 19th century. Steeped in the rich history of the House of Savoy, this tiara hails an extraordinary provenance. Likely to have been presented to Maria Vittoria dal Pozzo in 1867 as a wedding gift on the occasion of her marriage to Amedeo of Savoy, Duke of Aosta, later elected King of Spain as Amadeo I (1870- 1873), the tiara, which has remained with the family for over 150 years, is believed to have been created by Musy Padre e Figli – Court Jeweller of Turin, and one of the oldest goldsmiths in Europe.

Composed of graduated scroll motifs set with cushion-shaped, circular- and single-cut diamonds, framing eleven slightly baroque drop-shaped natural pearls, the jewel has more recently been seen worn as an elegant necklace.

The tiara is designed as a succession of eleven graduated scroll motifs, each composed of a natural pearl surrounded by old cut diamonds. The surmount rests on a detachable band composed of cluster and bar motifs set with cushion-shaped diamonds. The scroll motifs are detachable and may be adapted and worn as a necklace. The tiara, which was created by Musy, belonged to Maria Vittoria Carlotta Enrichetta Giovanna dal Pozzo della Cisterna (1847-1876), Duchess of Aosta and Queen of Spain."

Magnificent and Historic Natural pearl and diamond tiara/necklace, Musy, second half of the 19th century

Composed of graduated scroll motifs set with cushion-shaped, circular- and single-cut diamonds, framing eleven slightly baroque drop-shaped natural pearls measuring from approximately 11.75 x 14.10 x 21.00mm to 7.90 x 8.80 x 11.40mm, the central natural pearl supported by a rose diamond mount; the band composed of cluster and bar motifs set with cushion-shaped diamonds, inner circumference approximately 380mm, the top detachable and may be worn as a necklace, length approximately 380mm, band detachable, tiara frame signed Musy.

Accompanied by SSEF report no. 116436, stating that the eleven pearls were found to be natural, saltwater.

The tiara is designed as a succession of eleven graduated scroll motifs, each composed of a natural pearl surrounded by old cut diamonds. The surmount rests on a detachable band composed of cluster and bar motifs set with cushion-shaped diamonds. The scroll motifs are detachable and may be adapted and worn as a necklace. Queen Maria Vittoria of Spain's Pearl Necklace Tiara

The headpiece belonged to the House of Savoy, and is thought to have been created by the court jeweller Musy for Maria Vittoria dal Pozzo on the occasion of her marriage in 1867 to Prince Amadeo, Duke of Aosta, the second son of King Vittorio Emanuele II of Italy.

In 1870 her husband became the King of Spain, making her Queen consort of Spain. Maria Vittoria was known to talk with everyone and was often praised for her intelligence. She developed an interest in her adopted country and spoke Spanish fluently. Maria Vittoria founded a school for the children of washerwomen and an orphanage. She also spent plenty of her private fortune on charitable donations.

The country remained unstable under their rule. They were the victims of an attempted assassination attack. In 1873 Amadeo I abdicated the Spanish throne. They were now no longer King and Queen. They returned to Italy as the Duke and Duchess of Aosta. The political upheaval, combined with the effects of three pregnancies and births, proved too much for Maria Vittoria's health. Suffering from tuberculosis, she died in 1876, in the coastal city of Sanremo. She was only 29.

Precisely what happened to the diamond and pearl tiara after Maria Vittoria's death remains unclear. The piece was almost certainly inherited by one of her three sons. Because the wife of the eldest son, the Duke of Aosta, never wore the tiara, that historians assume that it must have gone to one of her other sons, either the Count of Turin or the Duke of the Abruzzi, both of whom died without descendants. It is known that King Umberto II of Italy bought the jewel from one of his cousins to prevent this historic piece from leaving the family collection.

The jewel is composed of graduated scroll motifs set with cushion-shaped, circular- and single-cut diamonds, framing eleven slightly baroque drop-shaped natural pearls. The central pearl is supported by a rose diamond mount. The detachable base of the tiara is composed of cluster and bar motifs set with cushion-shaped diamonds. When the base is removed, the top of the tiara can be worn separately as a necklace. (x)

Moon Skamander to nie jest, ani córka, ani wnuczka Newt'a, była to po prostu jego rodzina. Niektórzy jej trochę zazdrościli, inni jej współczuli, a jeszcze inni jej dokuczali.

Ale przewińmy trochę czas, kiedy ona dostała list z Hogwartu.

17 czerwca jej urodziny, a potem list, większość jej rzeczy była po matce, ojcu, a nawet po wujostwie. W wieku 11 lat miała włosy do ramion, w kolorze kasztanowym. Była szczupła, jak na swój wzrost. Była dość wysoką dziewczynką jak na swój wiek.

Była już gotowa na wszystko, oprócz jednej chwili w jej życiu. Wpadła na dwóch rudych chłopaków, również szli na pierwszy rok nauki w Hogwarcie.

-Oh... Przepraszam- spojrzała delikatnie do góry, zauważyła dwóch rudych chłopaków, którzy się z czegoś śmiali. -Nie masz za co przepraszać... Jestem George- powiedział to z bananem na twarzy. -A ja jestem Fred, Fred Weasley, a ty tooo... - powiedział to delikatnie teatralnym głosem. -Um... Jestem Moon, Moon Scamander- odwzajemniła ich wspaniałe humory. -Scamander? Córka Newt'a, czy wnuczka?- zapytał starszy rudzielec szatynki. -Nie jestem, ani córką, ani wnuczką Newt'a, ani jego brata, jesteśmy po prostu rodziną- trochę spochmurniała, ale w głosie szatynki wciąż było można usłyszeć optymizm.

-Fred, George z kim rozmawiacie?- za nich dochodził głos kobiety-wracajcie chłopaki.

Gdy wszyscy pożegnali się z rodzicami, rodzeństwem i wujostwem, a pociąg ruszył, niektórzy szukali wolnych przedziałów, w tym również klony. Weszli do przedziału gdzie siedziała Moon i usiedli na przeciwko niej. -Hej Moon!- krzyknęli jednocześnie, a ona wzdrygnęła się. -Ej co się boisz, nas się boisz?-zaśmiał się Fred. -No przestraszyliście mnie, bo...-nie chciała mówić czemu się wystraszyła więc przerwała-nie ważne. -Dla nas ważne- uśmiechnął się pod nosem drugi. -Nie znaczy nie, a poza tym nie znamy się na tyle dobrze, żebym ja się wam zwie...- nagle przerwała, bo poczuła lekkie ukłucie w okolicach brzucha. -Ej nic ci nie jest?-zapytał starszy klon. -Może się jednak nam zwierzysz- zaproponował drugi klon. -Nie to nic poważnego- wykrztusiła z siebie tylko te słowa i do końca drogi nie odzywała się.

Jej ukłucie w okolicach brzucha było spowodowane tym, że gdy pomagała wujowi Newtnowi jeden z jego zwierząt ją zaatakowało. Wszystko robiła zgodnie z poleceniami wujka, ale zwierzęciu musiało coś się nie spodobać, ale nikt nie wiedział o co chodzi. Ale to było 2 lata temu, a krzywda jaka została jej wyrządzona, odezwała się dopiero teraz.

Nie zauważyła kiedy zasnęła, gdy klony zaczęły ją budzić, budzili ją około 2 minut, ale i tak do Hogwartu zostało jeszcze 16 minut drogi. -Co się stało?- obudziła się w lekkim szoku. -Będziemy w Hogwarcie- zaczął starszy -Za około 15 minut- skończył zdanie brata drugi rudzielec. -Uhm?... Dobrze, dzięki- była trochę zaspana, ale szybko się rozbudziła w towarzystwie bliźniaków.

Gdy byli na miejscu powiedziano wszystkim, że ich rzeczy są już w pokojach. W Wielkiej Sali wszyscy pierwszoroczni nie mogli się doczekać ceremonii przydziału.

-Fred Weasley- wykrzyczała McGonagall. Tiara przydziału chwilę się zastanawiał gdy nagle wykrzyczała: -Ha, kolejny Wesley, to już wiem gdzie cię przydzielę. GRYFFINDOR!!!!- i zadowolony Fred poszedł do stołu Gryffonów, usiadł koło swojego brata Percy'ego. -George Weasley- znowu powiedziała McGonagall. -Kolejny Weasley, widzę, że nam się sklonowali, GRYFFINDOR!!!!

George usiadł obok swojego brata. Po dłuższym czekaniu Moon usłyszała swoje imię: -Moon Scamander- zawoła ją profesor McGonagall. Po drodze do tiary słyszała różne odzywki, takie jak: ,,To córka Newt'a " ,, Pewnie będzie się tym chwalić" ,, Jezu kolejny Scamander " ,, Ciekawe którego jest córką"

-Ach... Scamander... Zwierzęta pewnie lubisz, prawda?- zapytała tiara. -T-tak- odpowiedziała bez zastanowienia się. -Już wiem gdzie cię przydzielić, HUFFLEPUFF!!!! Podeszła zadowolona do swojego domu, była trochę smutna, bo chciałaby trafić do Gryffindoru, ale tak nie mogło być. W jej głowie zaczęły się tworzyć różne myśli: Czemu Tiara musi nas przydzielić, skoro i tak wybiera dom do którego należy, bądź należała nasza rodzina.

Po uczcie prefekci pokazali dormitoria pierwszorocznym. Piwnica Hufflepuff'u była dość oddalonym obiektem od wieży Gryffindor'u. Ona jak i bliźniacy byli trochę ty zdołowani. Ale i tak mogli się spotykać na przerwach i na lekcjach, no właśnie nie mogli, mieli po jedną lekcje w każdy dzień.

Z powodu iż był piątek tego dnia, następnego była sobota umówili się we trójkę, pod schody na pierwsze piętro.

Moon już na nich czekała, i nie czekała długo. Chociaż nie znali się długo to czuli, że coś ich łączy. Mogło to być poczucie humoru, szkoła, albo po prostu przyjaźń. Nie obchodziło ich to, że byli z dwóch różnych domów, jedyne co ich obchodziło to przyjaźń i nauka, ale przede wszystkim przyjaźń.

Chciałaby, żeby te wszystkie dni nigdy nie miały. Wszyscy wiedzieli już o tym, że ona i rudzielce to najlepsi i najwięksi żartownisie Hogwartu.
