I was wondering if you had any thoughts on how a Muriel and Beelzebub interaction would go!! :3
aaa so sorry for the ultra late response I have so many things I wanna draw and I get carried away haha
I have a whole post-s2 world goin on in my head that may not make too much logical sense but hey I'm having fun let these poor characters be sillies lol
but to simplifyyy
i do think that once gabriel and beezlebub run off together, they do kinda keep to their own, but the occasional pop in isn't unheard of. that's why muriel has been warned by crowley to avoid the former demon lord at all costs!
and muriel is sure to be careful about running into them- after all muriel is one of the lowest ranking angels, and beez was THE lord of hell, they're basically predator and prey in muriel's eyes!!
but of course beez wants to pop in to check on the bookshop (they're pretty fond of aziraphale after he went out of his way to protect gabriel) only to find that he has left a measly 37th order scrivener in his place!
although it makes sense that he left someone who specializes in note taking and documentation in charge, wherever he went, beelzebub can't help but find it amusing.
despite that, bee is learning how to be more kind, so they aren't being scary on purpose, but you can't blame muriel for being on guard when beelzebub is in the process of shedding their earth form and is showing off their giant gnashers like they just want to eat the poor angel whole!!
turns out they were just here to pop in and say hello, and that they'll be off now (where they will promptly begin making up theories about the sudden disappearance of aziraphale with gabriel)
🪰🪰🪰🪰
long story short, I love to think of muriel and beelzebub as friends tbh, I think we totally missed out on a muriel/jim interaction and I think it would be so fun if all three of them got along! I also have many hcs about muriel that justifies this but I don't want this post to be too lengthy!😅
trans people are some of the strongest, bravest people on this earth.
so much could go wrong. surgeries could be botched. your body could have bad reactions to treatment. your identity could be shrugged off as a joke. people could try to stop you from doing the things you love. they could relentlessly harass you. they could commit hate crimes against you and no one would bat an eye. people who you thought had loved you could turn against you. your government could try to write you out of existence. your entire community could despise you.
and you take that risk with a smile, all while looking absolutely gorgeous.
cause there is NO ONE more beautiful than someone who loves themself, is kind to the world, and freely expresses what truly makes them happy regardless of what others think.
i will fight to the death for your rights. i will not rest in peace until all trans and other queer people can live peacefully and happily without risk of being hurt for who they are.
The weirdest dichotomy I've felt as a trans man is that, when I was a kid, I knew I was never allowed into a "sisterhood." I always felt like an interloper around girls, and, because girls can be observant and intelligent (despite popular belief), I was treated as an interloper.
Now, as an adult, I'm treated like I was always part of "A Sisterhood" that I shunned, that I refused to join, so I ought to be punished for that horrific transgression.
I absolutely know other trans men* who did feel part of girlhood/womanhood, and there is literally nothing wrong with that. However, I just find it frustrating to be... denied my own experiences, my own story by (mostly cis) people who are uncomfortable with the idea that some people never felt part of "their circle." It's a weird arm of transphobia that simultaneously expells you from conformity but also blames you for not conforming (because you were never even given the opportunity to conform because, again, you were forced out of any space to conform to). Do you see what I mean?
When asked how Oklahoma leadership would deal with 2slgbtq+ hatecrimes in schools, in the context of a literal child being murdered in Owasso this month, one of our senators stated:
"I represent a constituency that doesn't want that filth in Oklahoma [...] We are a religious state and we are going to fight it to keep that filth out of the state of Oklahoma because we are a Christian state – we are a moral state."
To be clear the "filth" he is referring to is the 2slgbtq+ student who was murdered.
Shame on Oklahoma leadership and shame on everyone who supports them.
RIVER: So Missy, if it's not a personal question, why did you decide to, uh, upgrade your gender?
MISSY: If it's not a persona question!? You can't GET more personal.
RIVER: I know, I'm incorrigible.
MISSY: The answer is, I don't know. I just woke up one day even more fascinating than usual.
RIVER: So it wasn't deliberate?
MISSY: You've regenerated haven't you?
RIVER: Yeah, a couple of times.
MISSY: Then you'll know. Sometimes, it's like playing pin the tail on the donkey during an earthquake. If you come out the other side with the right number of eyes that counts as a win.
RIVER: So, do you feel different from how you were?
MISSY: I feel like me. I felt like me before. Silly question.
There is no official transcript for me to screenshot and be annoying about so you get the whole audio clip. She is so transgender to me. like she gets it
why do people gatekeep queer identies?? like,, isn't the whole point of the queer community that we're sick of being told who we are and aren't allowed to be?? stop shunning queer people for being queer in ways you don't like
"gerard way is trans truthers" hello?? hello??? hello??? is nonbinary musician gerard arthur way trans??? are you fucking high? are you on fucking drugs??? are you from mars??? TRUTHERS???
Just a reminder that trans people, you aren't betraying anybody by transitioning. You aren't disappointing women, or men, or whomever because you have decided to transition. This is a personal decision, and if somebody put so much stake into your gender that they feel betrayed by you when they were wrong, that is (frankly) not your problem.
