Was recently on the blue site and came across a thread where a few people were expressing wishing they didn’t have the kink and... like, honestly? I get it. Sometimes it feels so overwhelming and inconvenient - for me personally, I have so many questions like: What if I hate my partner’s sneeze? What if I base their attractiveness on said sneeze? Will I be able to handle taking care of my (possible) kids when they’re sick? How will my tastes change as I get older; will it affect anything hugely? Will I ever even be able to enjoy sex WITHOUT thinking of sneezing? SO many questions, and yet I don’t have the answer. But what I do know, is about the here and now. And right now? I know I wouldn’t have as many awesome, loving, caring friends as I do without the kink. I wouldn’t have as many laughs about vanillas or ‘snemes’ or cringy posts as I have without the kink. And this one is especially personal, but I probably would have rushed into something far more uncomfortable for myself sexually due to a lot of outside factors, had I not learned about jacking off myself to kink material. (Idk if this part makes sense; like I said, it’s a very personal thing). Is having the kink sometimes awkward? Absolutely! But that’s life - life is awkward, and weird, and kooky and that’s what makes it life. Me personally? I’m embracing my ‘weird’ as my normal. Not everyone gets to have a quirky little thing that’s as awesome as this - not everyone’s going to embrace it, either. But those that do? Are keepers.

And for those who are wishing they didn’t have the kink: I hope one day you can find your personal slice of peace with it. I really do. Maybe even more. Take each day as it comes.
