[Eng Subs DL] Musical Yuukoku no Moriarty (Moriarty the Patriot) Op. 4 - "The Two Criminals"
Hello, and Merry Christmas to those who celebrate~! Otherwise, Happy Holidays! I am here to share the English subtitles for more MoriMyu~!
Oh gosh, I apologize for such a long wait...!
Life just punched me around a bit with studying for board exams (which I passed, thankfully!), a bit of technical problems with the BD version, and a lot of real life things I needed to take care of before the year ends ( ̄▽ ̄*)ゞ
Op. 4 covers chapters 33-47 of the original comic, with a few scenes/moments omitted. It is essentially the build-up to the climax of the story that was covered in Op. 5!
We were also blessed with the addition of Miss Mary Morstan and Adam Whiteley for this musical, and I hope everyone falls in love with them, too~!
Anyway, here are the subs~! A huge, huge thank you to @mouldering for helping me with proof-reading and quality checking! I wouldn't have been able to finish this before Christmas without your help~!
♡ ~('▽^人)
I will be updating the folders with the bonus content subtitles when I am able to as well, but for now, please enjoy the main show's subs~!
Links, notes, and disclaimers under the cut, enjoy~!

NOTES:
※ THE FILE IS SUBTITLES ONLY, VIDEO IS NOT INCLUDED!
※ The folder contains subs for a DVD version as well as a Blu-ray version!
(I tested the DVD version on the BD a lot of times, and there was always a slight delay with the syncing, so I re-timed and re-styled it for the BD. You could technically load the DVD subs onto the BD, but you'd have to manually adjust the timing on your media player.)
All songs and lyrics were translated by me.
A bit of creative liberty was exercised to fit context and some cultural references.
As usual, the lyrics actually help move the plot, so I didn’t include the romaji for any of them. But, if you’d like to have the complete lyrics, I do have them saved up in PDF form, so feel free to DM me for them if you want ^^
Again, I’m not a native British English speaker, so some terms might be off. I consulted with a friend to help me check them, just in case, but please forgive any mistakes.
As usual, some scenes in the musical differ from the anime/manga for time and fluidity’s sake, so please don’t hit me for things that I can’t control ^^;
There aren’t particularly any triggering scenes here, but please do watch with caution since some subjects and terms used might be sensitive and/or triggering for other viewers.
@kumoriyami-xiuzhen requested me to do the bonus content subs, so I will be reblogging and updating the main post when they are up as well! ^^
RULES:
[MOST IMPORTANT] Please DO NOT re-post the subs and the link outside of Tumblr! If you want to share outside, please, please DM me about it and link my blog to your post. That’s all I ask.
Please DO NOT remove my credits.
Please DO NOT re-translate without permission.
SUBS DL LINK: GOOGLE DRIVE
※ Please only DM me if there is a problem with the subtitles. I cannot help you if it’s related to the videos.
※ If you enjoyed my work, please consider buying me a coffee here, if you can. It’ll really help me out a lot.(o^▽^o) Thank you!!

Slight spoilers for Moriarty the Patriot op5
1: Obviously Sho and Ryo are acting flawlessly. But DAMN! Kenta (John) and Ryoki (Fred) really went all out. 110% emotion
2: Sherlock’s hyperventilating in the beginning during the prison scene was actually really great acting and very realistic. I love this detail. 👌🏻
3: William’s whimper during the bridge scene was a great addition as well ❤️
4 Sherliam’s high five was *chef’s kiss* adorable (They’re both adorable) and Yes I said this already in the last one
5: Unfortunately my attempts to translate Shogo and Ryo’s 3 end speeches have failed(miserably) If anyone could send me their translations that would be so very much appreciated. I can do without subtitles for the musical but I really need them for the end speeches since I don’t know Japanese. Obviously when the cast laughs something funny was said and I’d like to know what it was lol I know this is a strange request and I’m sorry.
6: Oh yeah. And Louis’ physical reaction(I.e his hurt look and running away) to the people when they sing about William being the Lord of Crime is great. I assumed it expressed something like: “he’s not the monster you think. How could you all say he’s a demon, he’s my angel.” Obviously I don’t actually know what they’re all saying but I love his reaction. Very genuine.
7: My heart clenched so hard at the end when everyone looked so defeated and depressed. And especially when William (pretty much the whole time) looked so exhausted and defeated.
8: This musical in particular did a fantastic job at being more realistic (I.e my points about Sherlock and William) and gave so much more feeling and emotion to the characters and story.
End of rant 2 🥰
Will there be another? Maybe if I watch it for a 3rd time and find more things to say lol

Last time was Moran's feels, this time it's Louis and Fred! A DUET. They're so cute. ;A; They really show how much they don't want William to die. And they just wanna walk beside William for the rest of their lives. BABIES. MUST PROTECT. Anywhoo.

#Morimyu
Today we had two performances.
And today is Ryoki's* birthday.
He looks happy because many people congratulated him.
It makes me happy, too.
It looks like a family photo taken in a photo studio.

I.
Have returned.
After two long weeks absence where I was away, and caught a cold-
I am still sick but perfectly capable of drawing!
Since drawing is ✨FUN✨
And doesn't take people energy.
Yeye.
:D
This time with Ranpo Edogawa!!!
Or Ryoki Nagae if you want the stage play actor's name,
Fun fact, this guy also plays Italy in the hetalia musicals. (all five of them) So was Chuuya's stage play actor, (Keisuke Ueda) as Japan believe it or not, two of the most different personalities ever-
Yeah.
Betcha never saw that crossover coming-
I have also seen Ranpo's stage play actor as an angsty assassin with anime disease, (pretty sure that was three stage plays for that series) a very cheerful protagonist- compassion plus inspires people- viola equivalent in a weird kind of 'high school with acting' version of twelfth night-
A rebellious teenager side character in a high school thingy about dreams-
-I still do not entirely know what the plot of that was, we watched it entirely without subtitles so who knows-
And that's all I can think of off the top of my head,
Anyway. Ryoki Nagae has done quite a few stage plays over the years,
:D

Because some of us are hardcore procrastinating, and I feel like doing a new poll.
I suppose the better way to put this is which character do you feel was best depicted. I’ve put in the actors’ names too, mostly to distinguish between the two Freds, and to allow those who may not have seen much but know the actors to Form An Opinion.
I apologise if I’ve missed anyone’s favourite, there’s only so many answers I could include, but if yours isn’t here, throw them in the tags ^^
(And yes, it genuinely hurt me to leave off Takagai Shun’s Lestrade, but I needed Bond to be there. You must understand.)
Have fun guys, and may the best person win.
