Caledonia holds herself responsible for her family’s death 🥺

She and Pisces patch up the ship and gather an all female crew (Girl power!)

Down barges in Aric’s fleet (You go girls)

During one mission a Bullet saves Pisces and she brings him aboard but Cala says no, but then he ends up a prisoner anyway. My first thought is that Pi and this prisoner are going to end up together. Second thought is Pi feels indebted to him, but he’s going to end up with Cala.

Set trap for a Bullet ship to get a new sun sail, success but they lose Lace and Cala holds herself responsible🥳😭

After funeral she tries to throw Bullet overboard, no surprise there, emotions are running hight, but Pisces stops her, no surprise there either. Then he admits he knows their brothers, dun dun dunnnnn 😱 based on matching tattoos. They survived and have been working on the Northwater. Cala and Pi decide they will go save them, crew says they are sisters and therefore their brothers are their brothers too. Cala still doesn’t trust the Bullet but they will go. That’s right keep not trusting him. I have a feeling that’s going to change down the road.

Go to Cloudbreak for Pi’s injuries and supplies, Nettle shows them the doctor and where to get supplies, but it’s the King. Ruh roh. King is going to turn them over, of course, but Cal convinces him to let them go in order to lead the Bullets away and not fight and destroy his harbor, he agrees. Smart move Mr. King, smart move.

Nettle stows away and brings some supplies 🤣🤣🤣

They get away from the Bullets. Need more supplies. Head through Drowning Lands but they get stuck 😬. People come get them, start breaking apart the ship 🥺🥺. Cala convinces the Queen to let them go, after Hime reveals she’s one of them, awww she’s home again. They work to repair the ship. Oran attached to Cala per Queen’s order. He starts anticipating her movements and needs. That tells me he might like her 😊

After repairs they set sail, Hime ends up coming with them. Cala lets Oran help during a storm and in a moment of doubt she almost falls off the ship 😬😬. Pi yells at her for being stupid, as she should 🤣. After the storm Oran is basically part of the crew. 🥳🥳

They reach the Northwaters before the barge, set their plan and execute it. Lose Red 😭😭😭😭, find Ares 🥳🥳, but not Donnally 🥺🥺. Ares says he’s been gone a month. In her moment of spiraling Cala kisses Oran. He says he didn’t know Donnally wouldn’t be there. She believes him. He sounded so sad that he was wrong 🥺🥺

Bale Blossoms’ fleet on the horizon. This bastard. It almost seems like he knows where they’re going, but how?

Cala orders crew to run, but she decides to stay behind and take her revenge on Lir, this is gonna be good, or very very bad.

OMG I’m so pissed that Oran didn’t follow her. I was totally expecting him to somehow know she was going to stay behind, but he didn’t. It’s okay, that means their reunion is going to be that much more interesting. 

Anyway, Cala sets a bomb, smart girl, Lir finds her, they fight, obviously, she gets stabbed again, 🤬🤬🤬 and sets off the bomb, and escapes. Seems like she’s giving up, but she hears the voice of her brother telling her “Hoist your eyes” as he used to and she realizes she’s not ready yet and opens her eyes. I’m so bummed that it wasn’t her brother, who was on the Bale Blossom and saw her and went to save her, or freaking Oran, who figured out she had stayed behind and followed her somehow. But I’m also kind of glad she saved herself 🤷‍♀️

Anyway. This was a good story, and I can’t wait to read the rest of the trilogy. But if Donnally turns out to be dead, I may pitch a major fit.
