We fall astray when we deny nature.
Watercolor and pen on the back of a postcard. 1985
If I remember right, it was somewhere in New Mexico. Somewhere around midnight. Somewhere quiet. If I remember right.

The Source
Consciousness emanates at the centre of the Void, in all directions, omnidirectional- do not try to find this direction.
It is the primordial source & cauldron or womb that liberates free energy & births forms.
The free energy, the primordial energy emanates as sound, as Om & as light & electromagnetism. At first it is a dark light, an omnipresent black fire, that is in itself aware of itself. Then in its fall & differentiation it starts to illuminate & shine as the bright light that opens up daytime worlds for life like us.
Nature works on the premise of free energy, as the Earth cycles around the great source of heat energy & light, that is our central Sun, the available heat & light energy waxes & wanes in a year-period.
At ostara, on the wheel of the year, free energy once again starts to increase, greening & awakening Nature with Life.
Through the plant-kingdom, light is transformed into life. People start to plant seeds in the soil of the land to capture the light energy in food.
The light is worshipped & celebrated at holidays, as holy-days. The generativity & abundance of Nature supplies the people with the wealth reaped from the land, for the people, community, society & culture, to not only merely survive but to thrive.
This is the Economy of the Self, the Economy of Consciousness- endless availability of resource for everyone in the circle, the great chain of being.
The Economy of Consciousness, is reflected in the Economy of Nature, through respecting & venerating the workings of the seasons, there is enough for everyone to prosper.
The spiritual & socioeconomic laws are mirror-reflections— as Hermeticism states, as above so below & as within, so without.
Economy means something like 'the maintaining of energetic equilibrium overall, as it flows’
The human form is the microcosm of the macrocosmic patterns of the law. Every day-night cycle, we cycle through the states of consciousness, when free energy wanes, we are pulled into sleep & dreamworlds & finally into deep sleep, where body-mind is withdrawn into Self, where regeneration & self-organisation increases free energy, reaching a threshold we as body-mind spontaneously awake into world.

in my ethics class today, my professor was teaching about natural law and its four universal goods of humanity (or whatever they’re called). they included life, community, knowledge, and procreation. he was talking about how according to natural law theory, any act that violates one of those goods is considered morally wrong and stuff. the gist of it is like, those four things are “things that all humans innately desire” and shit, and i’m giggling because my ass does not want procreation! and then i started thinking about how cool it was that my sexuality (or lack thereof) is a violation to one of the universal goods! which feels pretty powerful that my entire existence challenges the natural law. yippee!

"Blessed are the meek. For they shall inherit the earth."
Matthew 5:5
-
The meek can have the Earth. Look at the state the meek have left the Earth in. Everything is a disaster. Nature is being destroyed.  Everyone has some kind of condition. We can't breathe each other's air anymore. Humans have become a malignancy. "Civilization" has become a cancer. Our ideologies are illness.
But fear not - The Earth will eventually reset the balance. My eyes may not see it, but I feel a great satisfaction in knowing that the reckoning is coming. The only solution now is annihilation. Then things can start anew. Possibly without humans at all.
And so, for now, meek ones - the earth is yours. Enjoy your manifestation. Hails to those who find beauty in the cruelty of Mother Nature. The whole of humanity shall suffer all it deserves.

Compendium of the Social Doctrine of the Church
a. Importance of the family for the person
212. The family has central importance in reference to the person. It is in this cradle of life and love that people are born and grow; when a child is conceived, society receives the gift of a new person who is called “from the innermost depths of self to communion with others and to the giving of self to others”[465]. It is in the family, therefore, that the mutual giving of self on the part of man and woman united in marriage creates an environment of life in which children “develop their potentialities, become aware of their dignity and prepare to face their unique and individual destiny”[466].
In the climate of natural affection which unites the members of a family unit, persons are recognized and learn responsibility in the wholeness of their personhood. “The first and fundamental structure for ‘human ecology' is the family, in which man receives his first formative ideas about truth and goodness, and learns what it means to love and to be loved, and thus what it actually means to be a person”[467]. The obligations of its members, in fact, are not limited by the terms of a contract but derive from the very essence of the family, founded on the irrevocable marriage covenant and given structure in the relationships that arise within it following the generation or adoption of children.
b. Importance of the family for society
213. The family, the natural community in which human social nature is experienced, makes a unique and irreplaceable contribution to the good of society. The family unit, in fact, is born from the communion of persons. “‘Communion' has to do with the personal relationship between the ‘I' and the ‘thou'. ‘Community' on the other hand transcends this framework and moves towards a ‘society', a ‘we'. The family, as a community of persons, is thus the first human ‘society'“[468].
A society built on a family scale is the best guarantee against drifting off course into individualism or collectivism, because within the family the person is always at the centre of attention as an end and never as a means. It is patently clear that the good of persons and the proper functioning of society are closely connected “with the healthy state of conjugal and family life”[469]. Without families that are strong in their communion and stable in their commitment peoples grow weak. In the family, moral values are taught starting from the very first years of life, the spiritual heritage of the religious community and the cultural legacy of the nation are transmitted. In the family one learns social responsibility and solidarity[470].
214. The priority of the family over society and over the State must be affirmed. The family in fact, at least in its procreative function, is the condition itself for their existence. With regard to other functions that benefit each of its members, it proceeds in importance and value the functions that society and the State are called to perform[471]. The family possesses inviolable rights and finds its legitimization in human nature and not in being recognized by the State. The family, then, does not exist for society or the State, but society and the State exist for the family.
Every social model that intends to serve the good of man must not overlook the centrality and social responsibility of the family. In their relationship to the family, society and the State are seriously obligated to observe the principle of subsidiarity. In virtue of this principle, public authorities may not take away from the family tasks which it can accomplish well by itself or in free association with other families; on the other hand, these same authorities have the duty to sustain the family, ensuring that it has all the assistance that it needs to fulfil properly its responsibilities[472].

Utah Desert
colored pencil on paper 2014
When I was a young boy in the 1950s we lived in Utah for a while. I was maybe six or seven. We, my friends and I, would go for long walks through the beautiful high plains desert. In the winter the ground would be covered with patches of snow. In the spring the desert flowers would blossom. Sometimes in the distance we could hear big sonic booms as they tested nuclear weapons across the mountains in Nevada.
2024. I'm living in the Philippines now. In the distance I can hear roosters crowing and dogs barking. Different time different world.

Natural Law: Potentially Attainable, Often Misconstrued
Through the study of his nature in reference to his condition and destiny man arrives at a certain norm of conduct, which is entitled the natural law. This law, while it receives the Divine sanction, and even a Divine promulgation, as in the case of the ten Commandments and the Sermon on the Mount, is nevertheless attainable by the operation of man's reason alone. It is distinguished from the positive Divine law, which is of its nature unattainable by human reasoning, and can be known only through Divine Revelation. That man's unaided reason has frequently failed to discover the correct application of the natural law, as, for instance, in the matter of human relationships, is attributable to the fact that human passions are too strong, human selfishness too deeply rooted, to permit an unprejudiced judgment. We see, therefore, the greatest minds of pagan antiquity falling into the grossest errors in the matter of human rights; Aristotle, Plato, Cicero, Seneca, Epictetus defending slavery and oppression. […] We see kindred phenomena in the pagan rebirth of today, as the Nazi racialist doctrine in Germany.
- Fr. John LaFarge, S.J. (Interracial Justice: A Study of Catholic Doctrine on Race Relations, pages 58-59)

KERES
All warmongers are cursed whoever they are, open and hidden, and at some point they will pay dearly for all they have done. People may forget but Mother Nature and Keres never forget.

Inspired by G.K. Chesterton:
"Fires will be kindled to testify that two and two make four. Swords will be drawn to prove that leaves are green in summer. We shall be left defending, not only the incredible virtues and sanities of human life, but something more incredible still, this huge impossible universe which stares us in the face. We shall fight for visible prodigies as if they were invisible. We shall look on the impossible grass and the skies with a strange courage. We shall be of those who have seen and yet have believed."
