If anyone doesn't know what this is about, I'll explain. Cube Escape is a series of point and click games created by Rusty Lake and telling the story of a very messed-up family... There is a lot of brutality, a lot of dreamlike things and metaphors, and the whole thing revolves around Rusty Lake - a lake where memories melt and get lost. The entire series is, so to speak, a psychological reflection on the consequences of our actions, dwelling on the past and tormenting ourselves with bad memories. Also reincarnation in contex corrupted soul. Bad memories can corrupt the soul, and corrupted souls... well... are creepy. Really, really creepy.

My first game in the Cube Escape series was, if I'm not mistaken, The Mill, and then I played Seasons (second one, first one is The Lake), and then I tried to play it in order. The plot is very complex and with each subsequent game we discover more fragments of the past of the Vanderboom family (and people associated with them). Certain recurring motifs and a feeling of anxiety create a unique atmosphere - a bit of horror, a bit of crime-story, a bit of psychological drama plus a very oneiric narrative. Is it enough if I say that after playing Case 23 (which, nomen-omen, I never finished), I had nightmares and was afraid to go to the toilet in the dark? And I played it when I was a grown woman X"D

I love this series and am looking forward to the next parts. We already know the history and fate of individual characters - but new threads are constantly emerging. I'm honestly waiting for the next chapter of Paradox (I hope there will be one more) and I just noticed that Underground Blossom, announced some time ago, has been released... Guess who won't be able to complete all the Ink Demonths before September? XD

I decided to have some fun here and make a gif. Art has a lot of symbolism - firstly, it is a perfect square. Secondly, the colour changing from white to black - also corresponds to the theme of black and white cubes (with bad and good memories). Plus both textes of Corrupted Soul come from "Cube Escape: Seasons" in inverse order :) I highly recommend the game. It's really great.

The Ink Demonth 2023 - Day 21. City

Day 21. City Crossover: Samurai Jack Aku is like that one uncle who made his fortune by pure luck (e.g. winning the lottery) and now feels entitled to give life advice to everyone around him on what to do to be as successful as he is, lol.

This is probably one of my best and favourite entries in this year's Ink Demonth.

The funny thing is that I originally had a different idea here - it was supposed to be a crossover with the Spiderverse, where in Spider-Men City one of the Spider-Man (probably Milo) asks Bendy if he's Venom, and Bendy replies that he is, but better because he doesn't need a host. However, I decided that I didn't want to draw the city from this movie, or even so many Spider-Men (although I love both the movie and Spider-Man himself in almost every version) - so Titatotrix and I did a brainstorming session, which resulted in my very discovery: "of course, Aku City... it was supposed to be Aku City from the beginning!" And we got it! I've always wanted to draw Aku. I've drawn Samurai Jack and more, there was even a short comics from my favourite episode... but never Aku. And he is such a lovely object to draw...

I love Samurai Jack. This is probably still my favourite cartoon. And I deeply regret the ending of the last series (the one from Swim Adult). Seriously, I was really sad that so many well-thought-out episodes and the entire complex plot were ruined with one stupid decision at the end... what a shame. I still love the show, and Jack was one of my big crushes (along with Hercules from the 1995 series and Chase Young from Shaolin Showdown and only from Shaolin Showdown - we don't talk about Chronicles). Plus Aku was dubbed in the original by Mako, one of my favourite voice actors (he did Splinter in my favourite TMNT movie and Uncle Iroh in Avatar: The Last Airbender) - may he rest in peace.

While making this picture, I had great fun at every stage: sketching, making lineart, colouring... I would love to continue the theme of "uncle" Aku giving good advice to Bendy, but, unfortunately, I don't have time for that anymore. Maybe I'll come back to it someday. By the way, while coming up with this entry - and it was after linearizing the next one, Radio, which you will see in a few hours - Titatotrix and I came to the conclusion that this year's Ink Demonth in my version looks a bit like Bendy's journey through the Multiverse and asking various characters for advice on how to deal with his perpetual depression (and with Joey). Well, it really looks like that. Plus entries where Sammy does something... sammish X"D

The Ink Demonth 2023 - Day 10. Creation

Day 10. Creation Crossover: Bluey Don't worry, Chilli, he doesn't bite. He's very friendly... to children. I wanted to see the faces of Bluey and Bingo's parents at least once when they don't really want to play with their daughters in their imagined situations and characters XD I remind you: my Bendy, despite being a real demon, is very friendly to children and likes them very much. Perhaps because of who he was ultimately supposed to become, maybe he simply has the nature of a person who likes children - but he wouldn't hurt a child, which will be a very important thread in the probably 4th series of SATIM. If anyone is unfamiliar with this wonderful cartoon, I highly recommend them to check it out - it's available on Disney+. It's a really positive, nice story that arouses only positive emotions. Two girls play a different game or something with each other or with their parents in each episode. A wonderful show of imagination and many ideas for playing with children. Have you ever had a safety blanket (or as I prefer to call it: Sammy Support)? This series is such a safety blanket as bad or depressive thoughts attack... I recommend. Initially, I wanted to draw the characters from Bluey in the original style - but while this style is pleasant to watch as a cartoon, it is not pleasant to draw at all... So I decided to draw the characters in my own style. I think it turned out nice. Just look.

Interesting fact: originally, this day was supposed to be a crossover with Clover, which I made for Pen, and in Pen a crossover with something that ended up in Factory… Why such changes took place - I will explain on the occasion of Factory ;) Bendy and the Ink Machine (c) Joey Drew Studios Inc. The Ink Demonth 2023 - Day 3. Creator

Day 3. Creator Crossover: Bad Dream: Fever Plot: In "Bad Dream: Fever", we're dealing with a mysterious plague that turns people's blood into ink (or something like that)... And now we have an ink demon... Any question? xD If Bendy was in this game, the game would end in the first scene right after the tutorial XD The gentleman who yells "cheater" is, of course, the game creator, who has a right to be pissed. Because drawing a background from the game would be a killer for me (for my hand and mental health), I used a screenshot from the original game here (which I'll probably do in a few other entries too). I highly recommend the game by the way. Both "Bad Dream: Fever" and "Bad Dream: Coma", which is one of my favourite point&click games in recent times. The Ink Demonth 2023 - Day 17. Eye

Day 17. Eye Crossover: Inscryption The answer is in this day theme :D Sammy would also have a problem with teeth :D

If anyone follows my tumblr account closely, they'll know that I'm a huge fan of Inscryption (especially Act 1 and Kaycee Mod), and I've been playing it a lot, really a lot lately. That's why I tried to make the image match the real gameplay as closely as possible. So, if someone knows the game and how the cards work, they can predict how the game will go next (well, if Sammy doesn't make a sacrifice, very quickly X"D) The only thing that is inconsistent with the game is that Sammy's opponent's cards are turned towards him - but I thought it would be easier to understand the situation on the battlefield. I must admit that although I had a big problem finishing the lineart of this picture, colouring it was great fun. And I highly recommend the game itself. It's great! Currently I'm also playing this studio's older game, Pony Island, but it's not as good as this one :3

Ok, after the first 3 episodes of Hazbin Hotel, here are my conclusions:

I like Vox's character, I really do. From the descriptions on the Hazbin Wiki and his design, I thought he would annoy me, but he's wonderful. His voice, his facial expressions, his character… I feel a strong P03 from Inscryption vibe here and it's wonderful. And that tensions, the rivalry between him and Alastor. Honey for my heart. I thought Vox's meddling in Hotel affairs would be one of those threads that made you wonder what it was for - but now I cannot wait to see what the fuck happens next. Honey. Pure honey for my heart.

Alastor, wonderful as always. It was only in episode 2 that I realized that his horns are radio antennas. I love the guy as a whole and I don't know what would have to happen for that to change.

The design changes were good for Vaggie - in my opinion she looks much better than in the pilot. She also convinced me with her military character. (For the record: Vaggie was my least favourite character in the pilot.)

Why doesn't anyone like Niffty? She is wonderful! I love this terrifying ball of chaos and pain (inflicted on both: herself and others).

I didn't think Sir Pentious would play a bigger role, but… he's a lovely harmless megalomaniac. And I like snakes. And his egg-boys are adorable in their silliness.

All the songs not sung by Charlie are amazing. Especially the duel ones. I'm not sure whether I prefer the duo of Vox and Alastor or the duel of Velvette and Carmilla. Both songs are great, I will listen them often and intensively.

I miss the connection with Helluva Boss - is it the same universe or not? 'Cause I have the impression that we are dealing with completely different ladders of the hell hierarchy in both arts. But I don't lose hope.

Death and Taxes - spoiler of ending

I DID IT! I won this game in my second life! Love Snow Globe and the Lamp. The most usefull things ever.

My 13th run was rather unsuccessful, I didn't get any deathcards, I didn't get a SINGLE bonfire, and Mycologist I got when the only thing to fusion was golden pelt… But Deathcard 13 turned out quite good :] As if the cost were zero, would be even better, but still good…

Now I go to play again, but with more difficulties in the game… And I still haven't beaten the "bears" difficulty even once. So the game isn't over yet…

Ok, after watching the last two episodes of the series, I have a lot of comments, but first these two main ones…

(warning! spoilers!)

WHAT THE HELL IS LILITH DOING IN HEAVEN?!

WHAT THE FUCK, SIR PENTIOUS?!

Ok, now step by step…

I really like Carmilla's new song. The words, the way of sing and music, and the choreography of the characters are simply wonderful. In general, this character is slowly becoming my favourite overlord of hell.

Rosie is so cute and charming! I didn't expect this, but… I love her and her cannibals. Seriously, I didn't expect this.

Niffty! Gosh, Niffty won it all with her final stab (or rather with about 20 stabs, lol).

Ok, ok… let's sum it up. When does Helluva Boss take place, since there is probably more access to angelic weapons there? Or maybe I'm wrong? All in all, Carmilla had quite a stockpile of weapons…

Alastor… I can't believe he let himself be defeated by a son of er… by a dickhead like Adam.

Sir Pentious… I cried. But at least he finally confessed his feelings to Cherri… (and I like the scene before, with last night :3) But then in the scene where he landed in Heaven - man, did he find a way to get sinners to Heaven? Die to protect loved ones? So why didn't anyone get there from hell like that before, seriously, no one has ever done it?! Carmilla almost died! I can't believe these two were the only ones!

WHAT THE FUCK. Adam had the power to vaporize the entire ship, including all of its occupants, with virtually the snap of a finger. How was Hell still standing? WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU, ADAM?

Lute's sparing scene is stupid and pointless, why do all series have to have scenes like this? Killing random angels whose names we don't know is ok - let's blow up their heads and slash or stab them. But when we have a character mentioned by name - we suddenly spare her?! WHAT THE FUCK?! If only it was said that she was some close friend of Vaggie's, her ex-girlfriend… whatever! But the bitch just gouged out Vaggie's eye and took her place next to Adam! Fucking hell… I hate this scene. I hate all scenes of this type in all works that have ever been created, are created and will be created - YOU WILL NOT CHANGE MY OPINION.

Adam died, Adam died! Hurrah! Here now new target: Valentino… (by the way, I'm surprised he didn't send Angel Dust to work during these two days)

Lucifer was AMAZING. Especially with the line "and your second wife too".

My friend Titatotrix's theory that Alastor sold his soul to Lilith sounds quite reasonable, especially in the light of the final scenes with him.

By the way, I've to start from beginning because in the previous game I defeated Leshy with a roll of film - I didn't know that it was impossible not to take a photo of him :/ (I don't like act 2, I wanted to play act 1 a bit longer). So now I just don't touch the clock… We'll see how many portraits on the door I get and if these 3 deathcards will be my only ones in this game :D (It would be a shame, I have brilliant card stats now, as you can see)

Just got back from "Elemental". A wonderful, colourful film with incredibly genial music, well speaking about hard emotions and pressure, with only one weak (in my opinion) scene. I'm waiting for the serial. Not necessarily about the main characters, but necessarily about this wonderful, surprisingly logical world. Better utopian city than Zootopia (which I still love).

My husband and I just watched Muppet Most Wanted - Polish dubbing of course, so I'm currently at the stage of comparing songs from the Polish version to the English version and I can say two things: 1. "Interrogation Song" is equally brilliant in both versions. I love it. 2. The song "I'm Number One" is slightly better in Polish because of the wonderful puns in the part where Badguy sits on the stairs and sings. But original text "You may think that you're smarter, but I'm smarterer than you" is wonderful.

I'm not a huge fan of the Muppets, having watched relatively few episodes of the original show and remembering very little of it. The first movie "after years" did not take me. In fact, I've always liked Statler and Waldorf the most of the show - they're wonderful in their balcony of mockers. But I loved the character of Sam in this movie. And I really liked the movie. A wonderful comedy of absurdity and cliché, but no embarrassment - it rarely happens in this type of films that play on sentiment.
