Hi Mr Gaiman! What do you think of Good Omens being rewritten from a Jewish perspective instead of a Christian one? (not for profit or anything just a fun idea to explore the theological differences through a work I adore)
If by "a Jewish Perspective" you mean, not using any material from the New Testament, you'd need to tell a very alternate universe version in your version of the story. Demons (and dybbuks) would exist, although there are different Jewish traditions about what they are -- but the concept of Fallen Angels isn't ever part of the story, so the Crowley and Aziraphale story might be a little harder to pull off. You'd lose the Four Horsemen, of course.
Here's a lovely article on Demonology from a Jewish perspective over the centuries: https://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/demons-and-demonology
You still have the apocalypse, of course (lots of lovely apocalypses predicted) but they tend to tie in to messianism. So you'd probably have Crowley and Aziraphale working to stop the Messiah from turning up and ending the world.
(Here's a great set of essays on Jewish Apocalypses: https://www.associationforjewishstudies.org/docs/default-source/ajs-perspectives/ajsp12fa.pdf?sfvrsn=17fadb06_2)
It's not really theological differences, though. Both Good Omens and your hypothetically More Jewish version would primarily be leaning into cultural myths and stories and stuff that aren't anywhere in the Bible anyway.
(And the original Good Omens was at least half-written from a Jewish perspective: mine.)

Decemberween 2022: Rabbi Tovia Singer
New Post has been published on PRESS.exe: Decemberween 2022: Rabbi Tovia Singer
Oh yeah, Decemberween, when I recommend a bunch of free, online content that I find enjoyable so you can partake of it in this period of Everything Being Busy, what kind of fun cool interesting media are we talking about today? Well, extremely deep Tanakh scholarship from what amounts to the internet version of a conservative Jewish call-in show.
Look, when I recommend media, you know I’m not recommending media veganism. I don’t think that Rabbi Singer is in any way going to line up with me on almost any front. I tolerate a pretty high level of what I’d call ‘coot factor’ when it comes to religious scholarship. I imagine, I assume, that say, an Orthodox Jewish Rabbi who lives In Israel probably has some pretty cruddy views about oh, you know, maybe that country they’re living in called Palestine, and I’m not asking you to make exception to that.
Matthew corrupted Jewish Scriptures to craft a preposterous Christmas story - Rabbi Tovia Singer
Watch this video on YouTube
Still, I have been listening to a lot of this guy this year, because of a specific area of scholarship where he’s been working very hard since the 1980s. Singer is an aggressive and constant opponent to the idea of Messianic Judaism.
Messianic Judaism is the idea of Christians trying to convert Jews. This is typically done by claiming that Christianity is compatible with Judaism, or that Judaism has been Christianity all along. There’s also a lot of imagery nonsense, like trying to use The Wordless Book style storytelling over the Seder to show that hey, doesn’t this bread remind you of Jesus?
What I’ve known for a long time is that the gospels are inconsistent, and this should be a problem for people who claim that the gospels represent divine literal truth. What I didn’t know is how much the New Testament is inconsistent with the Old Testament, where phrases that I knew didn’t line up are demonstrated changes in the text, rather than what I, an English language speaker thought growing up, that they were just translated differently.
Immanuel's Mother was No Virgin! Matthew Corrupted Isaiah – Rabbi Tovia Singer
Watch this video on YouTube
Anyway, Rabbi Singer defends his position and his faith and his values, and provides a perspective on Christianity from the position of someone who knows it very well and who knows the faith it claims to own. I find these talks and these long form textual conversations about specific wording changes in the two components of the Christian Bible super interesting. What’s more, they’re just going to come at things on a different footing. Me, an atheist, pointing out how Christianity does feature ritual cannibalism and a human sacrifice, get eyerolls because of course I’d just ‘not get it’ because I’m not religious. But when someone who is religious brings those same ideas to task, that position looks very different.
It’s interesting to me, and Rabbi Singer seems to have an extraordinarily strong grasp of all the concepts. When he talks about Dispensationalism and Evangelical Christianity, his mastery of the topic aligns with what I know, and he justifies what he knows from texts that I can go look up (even if I have to trust others translating Hebrew). Some of it is still Preacher dialogue, and I’m familiar with that, but it’s still really damn interesting to me.
Happy Hanukkah.

The God-Messiah of the Old Testament
By Author Eli Kittim 🎓
In the original Hebrew text, Isaiah 9:6 paints a divine picture of the Messiah, unlike the one erroniously drawn by traditional Judaism of a mere human being. In particular, Isaiah 9:6 claims that the “son” (בֵּ֚ן ben) that is given to us is called “mighty” (גִּבּ֔וֹר gibbor) “God” (אֵ֣ל el). This is reminiscent of Leviticus 26:12 in which God **literally** promises to become **incarnated** as a human being:
I will also walk among you and be your
God.
What is more, in Isaiah 9:6 the Messiah is called “the Prince” (שַׂר־ sar), “the everlasting” (Hb. עַד “ad,” derived from “adah,” which means “perpetuity,” “continually,” or “eternally”). In other words, this “son” that “is given” to us is from everlasting❗️As a supplemental observation, compare the similarities of Micah 5:2 (NASB) regarding the Messiah:
His times of coming forth are from long ago,
From the days of eternity.
In other words, he is **uncreated**❗️The Septuagint (LXX), an early Greek translation of the Hebrew Bible, confirms this interpretation by also stating that this upcoming (messianic) ruler is from all **eternity.** In Micah 5:2 of the Septuagint (which is technically Micah 5:1 in the LXX), the prophecy is as follows:
English translation by L.C.L. Brenton:
And thou, Bethleem, house of Ephratha, art
few in number to be [reckoned] among the
thousands of Juda; [yet] out of thee shall
one come forth to me, to be a ruler of Israel;
and his goings forth were from the
beginning, [even] from eternity.
So we have compelling evidence from the very early Septuagint translation that the messiah to come is actually **uncreated,** and that he has existed from all **eternity.** This suggests that the “mighty God” of Isaiah 9:6, “the everlasting,” who is promised to become incarnated in Leviticus 26:12, is the same forthcoming messianic ruler that is mentioned in Micah 5:2 (Micah 5:1 LXX), whose “goings forth were from the beginning, [even] from eternity.”
Conclusion
Keep in mind that all this is coming from the Old Testament. We haven’t even touched the New Testament yet. Nevertheless, we find in the Old Testament numerous references to the messiah as an eternal, mighty, and incarnate God❗️And we haven’t even mentioned the deity of Jesus Christ in the New Testament:
In Jn 1:1 (‘the word was God’); Col. 2:9 (‘in
him the whole fullness of the godhead
[θεότητος] dwells bodily’); Heb. 1:3 (‘The
Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the
exact imprint of his being’); Tit. 2:13 (‘our
great God and Savior Jesus Christ’); ‘being
in very nature God’ (Phil. 2:6); ‘The Son is
the image of the invisible God’ (Col. 1:15);
‘our God and Savior Jesus Christ’ (2 Pet.
1:1); & in Jn 1:3 and Heb. 1:2 Jesus is the
creator and the ‘heir of all things, through
whom he [God] also created the worlds’; Jn
1:3: ‘All things came into being through him
[Jesus], and without him not one thing
came into being.’
Therefore, the eternal, timeless, uncreated, everlasting, almighty God (Rev. 1:8), who has always existed from all eternity, is the very same Creator-God who is promised to be born among us (Isa. 9:6; Mic. 5:2), and to “walk [וְהִתְהַלַּכְתִּי֙] among [בְּת֣וֹכְכֶ֔ם]” us (Lev. 26:12) “and be” our God❗️
The LXX was initially translated back in the 3rd century BC. This is clear evidence from the earliest sources that the messiah would be divine! The Micah 5:2 version of the LXX essentially confirms the DIVINE origin of the prophesied Messiah:
ἀπ᾽ ἀρχῆς ἐξ ἡμερῶν αἰῶνος.
It means that his origins are “from the beginning of days.” In other words, the messiah is the “Ancient of Days” (Aramaic: עַתִּיק יֹומִין, ʿatīq yōmīn; παλαιὸς ἡμερῶν, palaiòs hēmerôn), which is another name for God in Daniel 7:9❗️

A Brief History of Messianic Movements
Tumblr media
Michael Das.
Independent Researcher, Washington DC.
Abstract.
Jesus Christ wasn’t the first Messiah. The earliest civilized culture on earth, the Babylonians believed the god Marduk would send a Messiah King to their city, the Jews started believing in a Wasp of God during the Roman occupation, they still believe in Mashiach, a mass movement meant to dislodge mankind from an embedded state of ignorance and spur it to spontaneous enlightenment.  Hindus believe Krishna will return, Buddhists call Him Maitreya, many around the world still await the return of Jesus. There are specific requirements for a Messiah, some all cultures share, some are unique.  One is the belief the Messiah will bring salvation from corruption and disorder. This paper argues which Messianic faith has the most potential to address burgeoning social diseases and heal the world most effectively.
Introduction. What is a Messiah?
The word Messiah is derived from messah, alligator fat used during ancient Egyptian religious rituals, Warwick (2014): "Anointed One" Others call him the Messiah or messeh from the Egyptian word to "anoint with crocodile fat".
Before the term Messiah came to be exclusively associated with Jesus, it was generally and liberally applied to anyone thought to be a prophet. I don’t want to focus on what we already know about Jesus, but to look at how other cultures used this word and whom they thought would perform His duties.
Jews and Egyptians populated the world together long before most others, circa 3500 BCE and obviously the idea of an anointed one stuck with the one long after the other died out. The Mesopotamians had another called Marduk, the Sun-Calf.
Neujahr, 2014 compresses it all together, stating we pin our hopes on a Messiah “…to advocate the future coming of a native dynast who will expel foreign rulers and institute an age of peace and plenty.”
Only one, Judaism says we have to do it ourselves, here and now. The others do make for the telling of incredible tall tales, however.
2. Marduk, the Future King of  Babylon.
Tumblr media
An important religious artifact, a statue of the god Marduk, was stolen and “mad dogs roam the city biting citizens, friend attacks friend, the rich beg from the poor, brother eats brother, and corpses block the city gate,” Neujahr.
Marduk, in response to the calamity, says a new monarch will bring the statue back into the City and all goodness will return with them:
“A king of Babylon will arise and he will renew the house of announcement,10 the Ekursagil. He will draw the plans of Heaven and Earth in the Ekursagil. He will change its height. He will establish tax exemptions for my city, Babylon. He will lead me and bring me into my city, Babylon, and the Ekursagil forever.”
History does not recall whether or not the king showed.
3. The Kalki Avatara of India.
Tumblr media
The Bible says Jesus rides back into our lives for a second time on a white horse, “Then I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse! The one sitting on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he judges and makes war” -Revelation 19:11.
This is not dissimilar to the projections for what is called the Kalki, “The Most Brutal” of Vishnu, the Reformer God: “He will be seated on a white horse with a naked sword in his hand, blazing like a comet”, Britannica, n.d.
Circumstances that will bring this most heavy-handed of godheads out of the Realm of Vishnu to the earth include a humanity that has abandoned duty, surrendered itself to the whims of the wicked and unjust, and permitted miscreants to rule the world.
The Kalkin appears in many places in Indian lore:
The Padma Purana states in 6.71.279-282 this will take place when the tenth version of Lord Vishnu appears:
“The tenth incarnation known as Lord Kalki will be the supreme chastiser of the envious and irreligious and will kill by the thousands such people so as to make way for the devotees to set up a society centered around God.”
This same theme is echoed in the Srimad Bhagavatam:
“Thereafter…, the Lord of the creation will take His birth as the Kalki incarnation and become the son of Viṣṇu Yaśā. At this time almost all the rulers of the earth will have degenerated into plunderers.”
While it might be wishful thinking to hope God would do in the thousands of scum that deserve what’s coming to them, the Buddhists say only the Friendliest, Maitreya Buddha will do.
4. Maitreya, The Future Buddha.
Tumblr media
In Messianic terms, Jesus has two lives, Krishna has 10, Buddha has 5, FPMT, (2022):
In the future, because of the growth of delusion, the beings in this world will degenerate – their lifespan will decrease and their lives will be filled with much suffering. When human life expectancy has decreased to only ten years, Maitreya will manifest in the form of a great spiritual leader and demonstrate the path of virtue. In particular, he will spread the teachings on loving kindness and, as a result, the fortune of the humans in this world will begin to improve – they will gradually give up their deluded attitudes and harmful behavior and their lifespan will start to increase.
Maitreya is said to begin His duty to enlighten and dimly burning human community as a pilgrim Himself, a kind of saint called a Bodhisattva.
Bodhisattvas are enlightened beings who postpone their own salvation in order to help all sentient beings. The bodhisattva is an ideal type, not a depiction of an historical person like the Buddha. Bodhisattvas have some of the characteristics of Christian saints. They are compassionate figures who help worshipers. Unlike saints, however, they are not associated with historical persons, hagiographies, or martyrdom.
4. The Yazidi and the Magi.
Tumblr media
The Yezidi, a Middle Eastern faith that conjoins aspects of Hinduism and Islam, trace the origins of their religion through the Magi, the very same that foresaw the coming of Christ Messiah. They believe the Prophet Daniel, the First Magus was an ancestor, prepared the Magi of the future to recognize and find the Star of Bethlehem and find the Christ Child. Sim.ca (2019)
Yazidis also believe Jesus/Isa brought spiritual light, and just like Muslims was also going to bring Salvation to the world, predict a future with a monarch who will rule with the approval of the gods, reverse a situation of foreign domination, restore the proper functioning of the native cult, and institute a period of prosperity, and with his imminent arrival, a legitimate native dynast to set all the social and natural disorder aright...
The Yezidi, “Angel Protectors” aren’t the only ones that have a problem with “social and natural disorder” nor were they the first. The Jews had an allergy to it from the beginning.
5. Mashiach: The Twilight of Ignorance.
Tumblr media
The Jewish notion of a Messiah or Mashiach is defined as a “A priest king” who will, as Isaiah said, situate himself and the following will take place, mfa.gov.il (n.d.):
The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them. And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together; and the lion shall eat straw like the ox. And the suckling child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice’ den. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain; for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea. (Isaiah 11:6-9).
The Hasidim, “shepherds of the world” state, on Chabad.org that Mashiach is more broadly defined as a time when the Jewish people will be lead back to the Land of Israel, and “Nation shall not lift a sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore" (Micah 4:3), also "The earth shall be filled with knowledge of G‑d as water covers the seabed" (Isaiah 11:9).
Soon, Jews believe and hope, soon.
Conclusion: Right here, a Dwelling Place.
All of the models for a Messiah emphasize the creation of a safe place, one that is free of politics, corruption, violence and delusion about our places in creation, and the gnawing emptiness beside us where our God used to before He stopped being dear to us.
The faiths I analyzed indicate the Rider on the White Horse will come during a time of nearly untenable strife. Only one, however, Judaism, says He can be invited with an act of devotion:
“From the dawn of time, G‑d envisioned for Himself a "dwelling place" right here on Planet Earth. And He put us here to fashion this home. To transform darkness into light, the end-product of our labor of love.”
So let us love.

The Hidden Ones - Lively Stones
Summary:
As of the recording of this episode, we are two weeks into an attack launched by Hamas on the nation of Israel. The events surrounding this attack and the repercussions that follow have many believers asking if this is the fulfillment of prophecy based on Psalm 83. This, coupled with our prior series on The Millennial Reign of Christ, also has listeners asking me, who is God’s Israel? Who will be the people He delivers out of affliction? We explore an alternate idea that the true Israel of God may be hidden in the world, yet to be revealed in the time of God’s choosing. We continue our exploration into The Hidden Ones.
Episode brought to you by our Premium Subscribers or Seekers:
Carl Q., Jewel B., Alexander B., Lauren T., and Nicole B.
Note:
We have reduced the yearly subscription rate from the normal $84 for 12 months, to $77 for 12 months, which means you get one month free! And those who do subscribe during the month of November only will receive a free copy of Karin Wilkinson’s book, Stolen Seed, Evil Harvest. The book offer is good only through November while supplies last, but the discounted rate will be applied for all new yearly subscriptions and future renewals of any existing yearly subscriptions. It’s our way of saying Thanks for supporting Bible Mysteries!
Lively: Greek - zaō (dzah’-o) - to live, breathe, be among the living (not lifeless, not dead)
to enjoy real life
to have true life and worthy of the name
active, blessed, endless in the kingdom of God
to live i.e. pass life, in the manner of the living and acting

Takeaway:
One last thought for today: 144,000 Jewish males will be sealed for a ministry in the Time of Jacob’s Trouble. These men are identified with the 12 Tribes. There are 12 stones on the ephod of the High Priest. Messianic Jews that convert today and believe will be caught up in the rapture along with the rest of the Church, so I don’t think they are the hidden ones.
What if somehow God gives life to the stones in the Jordan River to bring forth the 144,000? If God can make Adam of the dust of the earth, He can give life to stones. Could these lively stones be brought forth when tribulation begins and after the rapture? The 144K are sealed and physically identifiable: perhaps they are ready to be born in a day to start the new nation of Israel.

Uncovering the Hidden History: What the Dead Sea Scrolls Reveal about Judaism and Christianity
youtube
The discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls in 1947 was one of the most significant archaeological finds of the 20th century. These ancient manuscripts were found in the caves near the Dead Sea and contain some of the earliest known versions of the Hebrew Bible. But what did the Dead Sea Scrolls reveal about Christianity?
First of all, it's important to note that the Dead Sea Scrolls were written by a Jewish sect known as the Essenes, who lived in the area where the scrolls were found during the Second Temple period. While the scrolls themselves don't mention Christianity, they do shed light on the religious and social context in which Jesus and his followers lived.
One of the most interesting things about the Dead Sea Scrolls is that they reveal a diversity of beliefs and practices within Judaism during the Second Temple period. This challenges the notion that Judaism was a monolithic and static religion at the time of Jesus. Instead, the Dead Sea Scrolls show that there were many different groups and ideas circulating within Judaism, including messianic expectations and apocalypticism.
Some scholars have argued that the Dead Sea Scrolls provide evidence for the existence of a community similar to the early Christians. For example, the scrolls contain references to a "Teacher of Righteousness" who was opposed by a group known as the "Wicked Priest." Some scholars believe that this conflict may have been a precursor to the conflict between Jesus and the religious authorities in Jerusalem.
The Dead Sea Scrolls also contain fragments of texts that are similar to passages in the New Testament. For example, there is a fragment that contains a version of the Beatitudes, which are the famous sayings of Jesus found in the Sermon on the Mount. There are also similarities between the scrolls and the Gospel of John, particularly in their use of light and darkness imagery.
Overall, the Dead Sea Scrolls provide valuable insights into the religious and social context of the time of Jesus. While they don't provide direct evidence for the existence of Christianity, they do challenge our understanding of Judaism during the Second Temple period and provide tantalizing hints about the diversity of beliefs and practices that existed at the time.

Perfect Rabbi/Maulana Rumi didn't use the Quran, written Torah, etc. or the other Scriptures forbidden by Christ Jesus whilst the spiritually super blind University Professors are having Scriptural reading in his honour. https://youtu.be/uAbrr8AWks8 The description is too long. I am putting it on my website:- http://www.gnosticgospel.co.uk/RumiF.htm My Elder Brother Royal Shah Shams Tabrizi had the Al-Kitab written over his heart by the Grace of our Supernatural Father of our supernatural souls Elohim, Allah, Parbrahm, etc. He didn't need any man-written scriptures that are liable to corruption. Spiritually blind once-born natural people read the Scriptures. Royal Shah Shams Tabrizi threw Rumi's books into the water pool and then showed him that they are old called the old wine full of the dust of ages. Let me introduce to you the ever New Al-Kitab, of Allah full of the New Wine, that Jesus prepared at Cana for the Wedding Guests who were not satisfied with the old wine, the Scriptures by rinsing out all the specks of the old wine, the scriptures, creating the heart of a little child unbiased and then filled it with fresh water creating the hearts of the illiterate shepherds tending their sheep devotedly and not the hirelings Dog-Collared Priests in the Churches full of the old wine and turned it into the New Wine with the power of the holy spirit, which is common sense or Surtti. Such people of the Royal Kingdom of God where you enter with no money in your pocket, no two pairs of Tunics or shoes, and no Scriptures, Bible, Quran, Ad-Granth, etc. and enjoy the New Wine through logical reasoning that Brews Logo, His Word that our Supernatural Father Elohim, Allah, Parbrahm, etc. understands and no prayers and fasting meant for the natural men as it is Yahweh, Brahma, Khuda, etc., the Potters of male and female is in heaven above our heads which is the Footstool of our Supernatural Father of our souls Elohim, Allah, Parbrahm, etc. otherwise people would have reached His Royal Kingdom by rocket as they are doing to the moon. Much more on this Real ritual and Shariah-Free Islam of Allah called "Inshallah" in my over 8350 Youtube Videos whilst this Islam of Mullahs full of Shariah and Scriptures is of Satan Al-Djmar Al-Aksa Mullahs and is of Inshmullahs creating Shia and Suni sects. His twice-born Labouring Solitary Brethren/Friends were called “Talmidim or Sikhs” and not the once-born natural disciples of the crook Rabbis who disciplined them through the moral laws of Moses. Messianic Jews set up the same Temple system from the yoke of which Jesus set us FREE by giving his own life as the Lamb of God. Micah 1:1-4:13, Revelations 6:1-17, Psalm 134:1-3, Proverbs 30:1-4
Today is the 15th day of December, welcome to the Daily Audio Bible. I am Brian. It's great to be here with you today. It's great to be here with you every day or any day, and I'm glad that we have this place that we call the Global Campfire to…to be together and take the next step forward together. Yesterday, we were able to experience the book of Jonah in its entirety, which means that we get to move into some new territory yet again today and that territory will be the book of Micah and we'll get to camp out here for a couple of days.
Introduction to the Book of Micah:
Micah is the sixth of the 12 minor prophets. And since we’re going through the entire Bible, then will go through all 12 of the minor prophets. So, we’re kind of approaching the halfway point through the minor prophets. We don't know very much about Micah, outside of the book of Micah but we do know some things. Micah's name means who is like God and we know from the text, he was from the town of Moresheth and many scholars associate that with Moresheth Gatt which would put him in the lowlands, the Shephelah among the southern villages in the kingdom of Judah. And as Micah begins, we’re told that the Lord gave His message to Micah of Moresheth during the years when Jotham, Ahaz and Hezekiah were kings of Judah. The visions he saw concerned both Samaria and Jerusalem. But that gives us a bunch of information. The capital city of the northern kingdom was Samaria, the capital of the southern kingdom was Jerusalem, and the time of certain kings is named. So, we know who he is speaking about, and we know roughly when and that would put in probably in the early decades of the eighth century BC. We also know that Micah has a brief mention in the book of Jeremiah and that's like a century later, so that lets us know that Micah's prophecies were preserved and were still being referenced a century later. And Micah will follow the same general pattern that many of the prophets do; there are first prophetic utterances about doom and destruction and judgment, followed by a message of hope and restoration. In Micah this happens three times and within the text of Micah are promises of a coming deliverer, and that coming messianic deliverer is associated with Jesus. So, for example, in the book of Matthew, Micah is quoted, “but you O Bethlehem Efratah, are only a small village among all the people of Judah, yet a ruler of Israel, whose origins are in the distant past will come from you on my behalf.” And even Jesus, our Savior, quoted from the text in Micah describing…describing his own ministry, and the disruption that it brings. He says don't imagine that I came to bring peace to the earth, I came not to bring peace but a sword. This is Jesus quoting from the book of Micah. And what we’ll see in Micah is that God is angry, like He is very displeased with corruption, idolatry, rebellion and the exploitation of the less fortunate. He's very displeased about it, but He's even more passionate about putting things back together, about bringing hope and restoration for those who keep the covenant. So, with that, let's begin the book of Micah, we’ve been reading from the English Standard Version this week, which is what will continue to do, Micah chapters 1 through 4 today.
Prayer:
Father, we thank You for Your word, we thank You for Your kindness, we thank You for Your love, we thank You for our lives, we thank You that we have the Scriptures, and they point us toward You, and that we have been welcome into an intimate relationship with You. We are beyond grateful. Words fail us. There is no vocabulary that can describe anything but a mere glimpse of Your power, Your might, Your Majesty. And yet You know each of us by name and are fathering us and leading us, and part of the way You are doing that is allowing us to come together and feast upon Your word each and every day. And we are grateful for this. And so, Holy Spirit, plant what we have read today into our lives, into our hearts, today and every day, that it might cleanse us and correct us and direct us forward, on the narrow path that leads to life. We pray this in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Prayer and Encouragements:
Hey DAB family, this is Danny from Southern Oregon. I have been just saturating myself with Hardin family. Brian, I am so glad that you mentioned Jill's song Do You Hear What I Hear because I’ve never listened to it before and wow! Oh my gosh, it is so good. It’s the best rendition I have ever heard. And it's so exciting, I just get, I just get like full of energy when I listen to it. Oh, and then I love her, O Holy Night too. I've been listening to that, since it came out and been going to sleep with Max’s Christmas album. And you know, our roads are pretty icy and snowy and it's a little bit tense driving and so, I've been putting on your heart album while I'm driving and it just calms me, relaxes me, reminds me that God is with me, no matter what and I love it. And I'm also loving the sleep album. So, just want to thank you, whole family for everything that you do to make our lives better and bring us closer to Jesus. You guys are so amazing. Thank you.
Hello DAB family. Guess what, Dr. John from Jordon, New York and I am grandpa Dr. John. Thank you so much for all of your prayers. Sarah had Ezra Keegan Scott Allie on November 27 after three days of induction, they elected to do a cesarean section, which was likely a really good idea because he was 9 pounds and 13 ounces. That little chunk-a-roo came out with the wrist roles. He is so stinking cute, and I see lots of babies and I know cute and he's like pegging the cuteness scale. So anyway, thank you all for your prayers. Sarah and Ezra are both doing well. And Papa Joshua is popping buttons. So, as is Papa, I'm going by Papa and yeah, it's awesome. So, thank you very much. Dr. John signing off, bye bye.
Hello fellow members of the Daily Audio Bible family. It is I, Lawrence the Slow Boat. Sometimes, I get behind but not lately. Sometimes, I actually turned the boat around and revisit prayers and people that I've stared on the DAB app. In doing this, I am struck by the troubles of man and especially our young men and by the anxieties, helplessness, and the deep grief of those who love them. Believe me, I have lived through this. So, I want to start by encouraging Mikayla from Gloucester for the love she shows her nephew Taylor. And I pray for Betty from Hamburg in the turmoil of her son Nathan's mind after his period of catatonia. And also, for Rich in Arkansas, who on October 15th had not had one good word in the past week and cries out for help. And for Yolanda and her son bullied and beaten so cruelly. And for Kevin displaced to the United Kingdom, wondering if God has forgotten him. And for Brian and his son Mitchell, oh Brian, I know, I hear your torment as you feel you can do nothing for Mitchell. For the man, just released from 23 years in prison and who now feels so alone, my prayers for you be incense rising up to God's throne.
Hello Daily Audio Bible friends and family. I’m Israel from Lancaster and I'm calling because I need prayer. I just got COVID and have been fortunate enough not to catch it, until now. However, I am concerned. So, I'm reaching out to my family in Christ. And I thank you in advance for your prayers. And just know, that I also pray for your petitions. And I want to thank Brian and the whole family, for what they do in this great ministry. I appreciate every one of you and love you as well and I thank you.
Good morning DAB family. This is Consider It Pure Joy in Ohio. Got the four mutts here, with their jiggling collars in the background. And I'm convicted by the fact that on December 6, I didn't pray for People On the Water. You see, my 23-year-old, getting ready to graduate from college, has a very similar struggle. It’s not a struggle, it's…it's maturity. Has the process that she's going through, and she's looked around the last four or five years, seen a lot of people who call themselves Christians, not be very Christian-like. She has been around relationships that have disappointed her. She’s seen really bad things happen to really good people. She's just struggling with her purpose and what I thought I planned, and what God's intent really is. Tate, I I appreciated your comments around meeting someone with skin on. What a statement, what a comment. So, today, People On the Water, Tate, your family, I’d say all of us, pray for this generation that has had to go through so much over the past four or five years, in a time that is so foreign to us. And I pray that their…their eyes be open, that their hearts be changed, or in People On the Waters case, encouraged. And I pray that we be those people to do that. So, God bless you all. Love you all, you’re fantastic. Thank you, Brian. What a ministry. God bless. Bye Bye.
Trying to be the man that I though you wanted me to be Caused me not to be the man I should have been But women are just one of the many of weaknesses of men I’ve allowed many things in this life to set the standard for my own validation And when I failed to measure up, they became a source of frustration, aggravation, worriation as well as pride, ego and self-esteem deflation And I really can’t blame anybody else for the things that I do Even though all of us are victims, it’s true We’re all dealing with forces outside of our control Trying hard to rob us of our eternal soul And we often can’t even see it because we’re too full of ourselves Trying hard to dodge our daily past, present and future hells That’s why I thank You, Father for giving me eyes to see That all we really need in this life, is Thee And you created us to lead, not follow, to taste but not swallow Because it’s the Holy Spirit, our constant friend Comforter, counselor, that still small voice within Telling us to seek first the kingdom and everything else will be added Because we serve a High Priest that’s already had it Jesus said He had a cross to bear and that we would have one too And every day that statement is being proven true Father, please, give us wings and eyes of faith So we can rise above and see beyond those places that the world is telling us are safe [email protected] And once again Brian and the Hardin Family, thank you for this wonderful podcast, for God’s Holy Spirit to flow. Keep it flowing ya’ll. Alright, bye bye.

Simple But Sacred
For I have received of the Lord - Kurios that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord - Kurios [he to whom a person belongs] Yeshua [God is Salvation] the [same] night in which he was betrayed took bread: And when he had given thanks, he broke [it], and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me. After the same manner also [he took] the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament (a covenant, ratified in death) in my blood: this do you, as oft as you drink [it], in remembrance of me. For as often as you eat this bread, and drink this cup, you do show the Lord - Kurios’s death till he come. — 1 Corinthians 11:23-26 | New Messianic Version Bible (NMV) The New Messianic Version Bible by Tov Rose © 2012. That It Be Fulfilled
In the New King James Version of the Bible, the phrase, "might be fulfilled" is used 18 times shared between the books of Matthew and John. What is the proper interpretation of these phrases, and how might the referenced Messianic prophecies bolster Jesus' words found in Matthew 5:17?

The Path of Life
💧💧💧💧💧💧💧💧💧💧💧💧💧💧💧💧💧
The inspiration for this post comes from this powerful verse of scripture, "Thou wilt shew me the path of life: In thy presence is fulness of joy; At thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore"-Psalm 16:11 KJV. We are probably most familiar with "In thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore", but those lines tell only half the story. When we consider Life, it's a thriving form of dwelling. I believe Life involves purpose, dreams, goals and ambitions. In order for us to fuel these entities we need something Devine. We have been blessed with the capacity to house the resource we need to propell us into our destiny. Deep within us there is a void that exist, we attempt to fill it with many objects, persons, places and things and we find out they don't fit. In a search for satisfaction we find ourselves in what seems like an aimless existence. The truth is at some point, we are all on a search for the answer, a search for the antidote to our universal issue, which is sin. There are some of us that realize that Jesus is The Answer to it all, but there remains a few skeptics, not willing to lay their all on the altar of sacrifices. Saying an absolute Yes to Jesus, means saying a resounding no to so many other options placed before us. This is the true tail of sacrifice, when you've got so many doors to choose from, you decide on that one door. That one path that stands out above all others, as the obvious direction for our lives.
We are here to discuss that path but first off, "There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, But the end thereof are the ways of death"-Proverbs 14:12 KJV; Proverbs 16:25. The importance of this verse can not be overstated, Proverbs mentions it twice. We naturally have our own way, and if our way isn't verified by the word of God it's a path of death and destruction. Our feelings are often the compass we use, if it feels right it must be right, right? If Life were only directed by feelings we would be in a whole heap of trouble. This is justified by the fact that in order for us to follow our Jesus we must first deny ourselves (Matthew 16:23-25). The next line which is to pick up your cross may scare you but hey, true life is a journey of burdens. We make burdens out to be a curse, when in actuality they can be a blessing. Our Lord Jesus definitely isn't skimming or ducking out on the burden parade, consider these words of His, “Come unto me all you who are weary and who are enduring labour, and I will help you to bear your yoke, Take my yoke as your yoke and learn of me that I am meek and humble in heart and you will find rest for your souls, “Because my yoke is easy and my burden is light”-Matthew 11:28‭-‬30 NMV. I so enjoy this New Messianic Version of the Bible, you may have noticed I've used it alot of late. These verses in question are interpreted so decisively, our Lord isn't calling us to a burdenless experience, but an experience in which envoles Him laboring with you, after all we are laborers together with God (1 Corinthians 3:9). Secondly and also thirdly, God wants us to do things His way, that explains us swapping out our yoke for His. We then begin to discover our God, He's real humble and lowly and then we learn to trust Him. This means that what we once carried, is now a shared load with The Lord Jesus. It is oh so much lighter than what we are used to carrying because, our God is with us. This is what the new path looks like.
The ultimate question ought to be how do we live on the path of life? The answer is we live in God's presence. I know some of you probably felt anxiety immediately but calm down, there is more. Our minds often run to prayer and fasting as the next expected step, but we often treat these weapons as emergency only tactics. I heard my Pastor say one time after a period of prayer and fasting the church went through, "What if this was a place we lived and not just visited"? That question stuck in my spirit, like you I was the type that went under intense prayer and fasting readying myself for an assignment and when that assignment was over I was back to basics. So often this is were we live, and I'm not attacking intense prayer and fasting in any form, but I believe God deserves more than our attention when we need Him to move through us for His purposes. I made up my mind sometime ago, that I would live above average. We as believers know exactly what that is (I'm not referring to the angels on assignment, where my real people at!) We play with gossip, slander and some white lies and when the weekend comes we buff all that mess off with a weekend fast (that ain't nobody reading this). Deep down we know our weekly activities were foul and we scramble to make it right for our moment in His presence (Church/The Establishment). What if our commitment to sanctity stemmed way beyond a couple of days and carried over throughout our days? We all agree, in His presence is fulness of joy and at His right there are pleasures for evermore, so why do we spend time outside His presence? I believe the obvious answer is within us dwelleth no good thing. If left up to us alone, we would never find the path of The King of Kings. We have so many other ills and demons bent on sidetracking our upward movement on The Lord's path. This is not a point or juncture for panic but focus.
We were privy to the distraction for the last couple days ( Please.... don't make me spell it out). I believe God often suffers these embarrassing happenings as a reminder to us. I believe (1) The Glory belongs to Him alone, His name is literally jealous (Exodus 34:14). I also believe (2) we get caught up with folk and we have to be reminded that although we are new creatures, God is still doing a work and NOBODY HAS ARRIVED, despite their tenior or titles. I don't get excitement out of seeing brothers or sisters fall and neither should you. I do believe however, that we need to be reminded about who deserves The Glory. The presence of God is such a humbling place, constant exposure leaves us totally dependent on His hand. When we have little exposure to His Glory, it shows in our priorities. Have you drifted away from His presence and now you find yourself vying for status and positions in your own strength? We weren't made to survive away from His presence, all that we need is in the secret of His pavilion. There is a path hollowed out for those that dare to walk with God. For Adam it was the kool of the day, I'm here to encourage you to as often as you can, not to just steal away but live your days in His presence.
