urg just ninja tea headcanons

LLOYD:

Lloyd was taught how to prepare tea by Wu and Kai when he was young, he always makes sure to have at least 3 cups of tea a day. All his tea pets were presents given to him, he has more than 30, and the ninja are happy to buy any he wants. His favorite type of tea is Green Tea.

KAI:

Kai collects any and all dragon tea pets he can find, he has around 20 so far. He used to use Ray’s tea set until he accidentally broke one of the pieces, he proceeded to save up all his 7-y/o money to buy a new set. He has multiple sets, but his favorite is his Duan Ni Yixing teapot and glass teacups, which he uses for Yellow Tea!

NYA:

Nya likes more simple tea pets, mainly white and black colored animals! She has Maya’s tea set, which was passed down to her from Kai when she turned 13, she normally only uses it during important/special events. Her favorite type of tea is Oolong!

JAY:

Jay is very new to tea making (he grew up only drinking coffee), when Nya took him to one of her favorite tea houses he was entranced with the practice. He hasn't bought any tea pets, but he did adopt Nya’s tea pets in a very touching ceremony. His favorite type of tea is Black Tea!

ZANE:

Zane has multiple tea pets, most of which are everyday items (a lamp, a computer, an open book, etc), the other ninja bought him a teapot tea pet and he loves it. Wu taught him how to make tea in the most elegant, old-fashioned way possible. Zane doesn’t normally drink tea unless it's made by Kai, his favorite type is Raw Pu-erh!

COLE:

Cole probably has mythical creatures/gods/legends for tea pets, things like a money toad or dragon turtle. He doesn't practice gongfu cha in its entirety, but he keeps his tea pets in good shape. His favorite type of tea is Maghrebi Mint Tea.

The only good lines he said in DR s2 was that "at least you're adorable" thing about Cole and then being exited about increasing the Administration's efficiency... Don't think about P.I.X.A.L in Dragons' Rising, about how no one has found her yet, about her wandering the realms searching for someone that she knew. Zane. Kai. Cole. Nya. Jay. Lloyd. Sensei Wu. Anyone.

Don't think about P.I.X.A.L being found by the Administration, being captured by them, claimed as a machine, and having her memories taken away.

Don't think about P.I.X.A.L working for the Administration as one of their machines, not knowing who she was but knowing that she was meant for more than a mail room.

Don't think about P.I.X.A.L meeting an agent who treats her with kindness, who also doesn't remember who he is, who she soon becomes friends with.

Don't think about this friend coming home from a mission, speaking of another machine they were trying to catch, one called Zane, and how the name sounded familiar to P.I.X.A.L.

Don't think about the friend telling her that he had lightning powers, and that P.I.X.A.L wasn't as surprised as she probably should've been.

Don't think about P.I.X.A.L and the friend speaking about knowing that they were someone greater than who they were with the Administration.

Don't think about the two escaping the Administration together, searching for answers and searching for who they truly are.

Still working on this TWD Ninjago AU! Things are just a bit slow since my main interest atm is TWDG, but I'll try to get more out as fast as I can!

I think the part I'm most excited to get to is when I introduce Harumi into the story. Just gonna go ahead and 'spoil' it a little since the possibility of me actually getting that far with telling this story is low, so

Harumi isn't evil in this AU, she's just a little kid like Lloyd who had watched her parents die from the outbreak. She's taken in by Kai and Lloyd's current group of Dareth and Ronin, but she seems to be terrified of them, even when Lloyd brings it upon himself to try to cheer her up, trying to play with her. Hell, even Ronin tries to cheer her up, having specifically scavenged things for her, surprisingly. She was too scared and stressed to care, though.

When Harumi witnesses another death for the first time again, she finally breaks down, Ronin being the one to calm her down with a story of his own daughter. Harumi reminded him a lot of her, and maybe that was the reason he felt so inclined to protect her.

Basically, Harumi and Ronin have a sort of 'Joel and Ellie' kind of relationship! Also noticed while rewatching SoG that Harumi's dad looks vaguely similar to Ronin, so that could probably make it even worse!!! Hope I can actually make it this far...
