I have a liiittlee bit of an emergency

So, my teenage son and his friends were going out, but when they got back there was this noise marine following them!

According to my son, he had offered for the marine to “join their emo band”

I have no problems with him expressing himself and making new friends, but it seems like the marine is bonding to him? Do noise marines bond? Anyways, we can’t handle one! I’m worried that my youngest, an infant, won’t be able to handle the noise, and due to how sudden it was we haven’t had time to research how to care for one (plus I don’t think the cat approves)

I don’t want to deny my son the right to a bonding/companion (especially because of his previous mental health issues, which is why we had to move), nor deny him the right to express himself, but I also don’t want the baby or the cat getting distressed, and for the marine to suffer because of it. The neighbors don’t seem too happy either, and I can’t contact my husband at the moment to ask for input

Please help!

Okay! Noise Marines are (usually) a subsect of Emperor's Children. That being said yes Noise Marines do bond but they also have a habit of being parts of multi bonds.

It might not be a bond per say it might just be a fling. Gonna be honest your son must be very confident in himself if he walked up to a Noise Marine and asked it to join his band.

AH the infant does complicate things and you don't really know if he is bonded to your son or not. Hmmm what to do... Noise Marines at the end of the day are (usually) Emperor's children marines which have a love for all genres of music of course they tend to veer hard into the louder and more flamboyant genres . If you have a set time that your son can practice his music he would have to follow that as well or have them practice somewhere else.

It all really depends on if it's an actual bond or a temporary one (or as I call them "false" bonds) and while I do admire that you don't want to deny your son a bond your youngest health should take priority and who knows if this one has been around infants before (usually for Noise marines the answer is no) so they might not understand about hearing damage.

Try to figure out if the marine formed a bond or not. That's the best advice I can give with what I know.

shocking absolutely nobody i have made another noise marine OC! his name is Xander and he’s mostly based on gothic rock and symphonic metal. he likes to lull enemy combatants into docility with sweet, melancholic singing before ratcheting up into an operatic soprano and making their heads pop 😈

im still working on designing his armour, but im considering giving it a bit of a gothic lolita vibe (like mana-sama)
