Just saw the nightwing swimsuit cover... ugliest thing I have seen ever in my life I hate it so much. But the subject is Dick Grayson so that's to be expected.
Anyways... look at the Nubia cover. She's so hot oml

Okay I was rereading Nubia: Queen of the Amazons in a "how would I fix this?" kinda mindset. And on a hunch I put the names of all of the Madagascar characters into baby name sites. Most of them came up as being Hebrew names, some of them were outright biblical.
I thought to myself "maybe, maybe it's false cognates. It's not like I really know what Malagasy sounds like."
Then Azariah called Zillah "Little shadow" Y'ALL! Zillah means "shade" in Hebrew. You cannot learn Zillah means shadow without learning the name is Hebrew. Which means giving the majority of these Madagascar characters Hebrew names was a deliberate choice?
I just don't understand. Why even have the story be set in Madagascar? Is it even really Madgascar if you don't let the characters have the names or gods of that place?
At that point you may as well just basically come up with your own fictional country, cause basically you already did.
