BuckySarah stans are winning right now thanks to seb stan’s insta story but my dumb self went on Twitter and saw all the white gays mad at the “heteronormativity” of the ship….can us black women PLEASE be the subject of romantic attention???? just ONCE???? without everyone complaining???? and let’s not forget this is the same fandom that started Leah (another WOC) hate from the first ep. sorry for ranting but I am v tired of activism/demand for representation being disguised as misogyny/misogynoir

"bucky is bi" and "bucky likes sarah" are like not.... contradictory statements.... it's frustrating that homophobic marvel studios can't be arsed to give bi characters even a throwaway line definitively confirming their sexuality and i know as a thorkyrie shipper i am beating a dead horse but like.... you hate to see it happen and just keep happening don't ya?

also like this is so wild to me as an og sambucky shipper. like, after years of microagressions and sometimes just aggressions from st*ckies and st*ggies, are you honkies saying that now you want bucky with sam??? finally??? okay. oh wait you don't? you want sam to remain your version of his therapist while bucky is with zemo? who violated his autonomy and clearly has no respect for him? oh wait, you want him with walker? the hot headed aggressive ameri-cop who bucky clearly hates? okay.... it's a laugh, it's a joke, hahaha

I decided to read chapter 4 of In From the Cold last night as opposed to on my lunch break like last time to avoid having to go back to work after having mountains of angst dumped on me and...I’d say it was the right choice. God everything about Tony absolutely shatters my heart, but you write him /so/ well I feel like this is exactly how MCU Tony would “cope” in a situation like this. The overly chatty, constantly moving and doing things with his hands because “if he keeps himself busy the grief can never catch up with him right?” mentality destroys me and I just want to bundle him up in the biggest hug possible because god is he doing the very opposite of coping.

I’m glad he has his support system around him though from Rhodey and Pepper who call him on his shit and from the Revengers who’ll most definitely stab anyone that even looks at Tony the wrong way. Thor dropping my most favorite of lines with “you’re not broken just hurt” makes me melt every time even if Tony didn’t let him finish it 🥺

I’m literally so excited to see Stuckony together again even though I know it’ll practically be all angst between the three of them for a hot minute. But the sooner they’re together the sooner I get to see the god tier trope of Tony fixing Bucky’s arm 😍 (also can’t wait to see the relationship between Thor and Valkyrie evolve because that little interaction towards the end there was so soft and I loved every moment of it)

So the Thor/Valkyrie thing is actually a part I didn't realize how much I'd love. One of my favorite things about Ragnarok was the lack of romance?

Because nothing irks me more than like "HEY look at this super traumatized character, but now he's met an equally traumatized woman but since her trauma isn't seen as Important, she will put it aside to deal with His Trauma and save him via her love."

Nothing irks me faster in a movie and/or book than that right there.

And in Ragnarok they really let Valkyrie be a dumpster fire disaster and even when she agreed to help them it was less about Actually Helping Thor and more about redeeming herself a little and getting revenge on Hela. Like at no particular point was Valkyrie's story about Thor beyond how he linked to her previous life?

Anyway, I loved the lack of Romance, she just got to be a BAMF while Thor was consistently kept on his toes by her actions and equal parts annoyed and in awe which is a pretty valid reaction to women in general. So when I got this commission and Blitz specifically wanted Thorkyrie I was kind of like...ehhhh lets see how it goes?

BUT I LOVE THEM. I love this moment that everyone is basically trapped in, where the trauma is still too fresh to be "moved past" but is just healing enough for them to start acknowledging the way they're drawn to each other. I love how their Soul Marks burn around each other and how Valkyrie is a little awkward around him and sort of takes every interaction as a challenge. And I LOVE how they are both drawn to Tony but while Thor comes at it as like "oh my friend is hurting" Valkyrie approaches it as "yeah life sucks and then unfortunately we don't die so we have to keep moving"

And its been a long time since I wrote Post CACW Tony? My OG versions of him (Loki's Song, Looking at You, Storms) all involved him basically wasting away with a drink in his hand but I think after seeing SM:HC and how involved Tony was, seeing him in IW actively trying to better his life my idea of how he would grieve is different. I think he would be a little more manic-depressed and less just alcoholic stupor and I love that for this story because we get to see him sort of rattling around in a useless but busy manner which will make that inevitable Stillness, that inevitable Collapse all the (fantastically) worse.
