I have this headcanon that Dream would LOVE ASMR and asmrtists bc they are helping people be at peace and fall asleep, so really they're making his job easier and I imagine he could totally fall for someone like that bc they are basically doing what he does (putting people to sleep) just without the magic and he finds it so fascinating and wants to learn all about it and maybe he would want to watch when his SO makes videos or stuff like that, or even try it himself (imagine you having like the most popular asmr channel on youtube bc you have the literal god of dreams/sleep at your service lol)

He raised an eyebrow. “How so?”

“Oh, uh, well,” you hummed, trying to figure a solution. “If we do the role play route, then spa day? You could be a receptionist and check in the viewer/listener then I can do the rest. I could write out the part for you to help.”

Dream thought for a moment. “Okay.”

“Wait, really?” You were a little excited. You secretly had been itching to do a video with him.

“Yes, I want to try.”

Try and enjoy more time with you, he thought.

“Great! Okay, uh, give me a minute to write something and get different items.”

Dream only smiled seeing your enthusiasm. Maybe this could become a regular occurrence for the two of you.

i really want to explore it more in my little gen vanrouge series when i have the time to get around to it, but i'm fully invested in the thought that he was pretty careless with silver for the first few years (whether that be because he was projecting feelings of guilt and despair at the death of his best friends onto silver, the scorn of being made to look after a human, or fully despised the child because of the relations he carried to the humans responsible for the death of their queen— take your angsty pick!!!) before the begrudging affection and fondness creeps in through silver's adorable and earnest nature :') you have been father-coded by the narrative lilia, you will not escape his big baby eyes when he wails for you!!!

and honestly, this is all stemming from what you've quoted— the 'i hate children' bit. did he really find silver during this time?? like i am LOSING my mind at how callous he's behaving in these memories, i genuinely cannot wrap my head around how he could have been willing at all to take in silver at this point in time unless it was dictated to him. and if so, OOF. we are in for a mountain of misery until lilia is able to realize that he's fond of the boy?? and it's clear that present-day lilia most certainly is, and loves silver to the point that he would take a blow for him that could have been a grievous injury. personally, i'd really like the oh shit moment of lilia realizing that silver is so attached to him and vice versa to be that moment when silver learns that they aren't related and goes running off into the woods— IT HAS EVERYTHING!! ep2: ok so in ep2 i’m sooooo obsessed with the tiny scene where simon puts his head on wille’s shoulder like a little dog or something. there’s just something sooo innocent and wholesome about it. but then there’s also wille and august’s fight and oh my god. the way wille almost killed him just because he said a few words to his bf… like calm down but also i support u. then again I actually have found myself kinda rooting for august this season so… kinda yikes too. and oh my god wait wait i have to talk about simon’s new song. FIRST OF FUCKING ALL THE REFERENCE TO REVOLUTION BY ELIAS (which im coincidentally listening to right now)??? AND THEN ALSO HIS LITTLE CHUCKLE WHEN HE GETS THR POSITIVE COMMENTS (which are absolutely deserved. it needs to be on Spotify right now) THAT SCENE. I LOVE SIMON. ep3: for ep3 firstly the pre-camp scene when wille picks up simon. the “big boy”. IM CRYING. and the hammock scene …….. ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh. but oh my god do not even get me fuckinf started on the rave scene. that one frame of wilmon. roshella and frederika’s jealousy (ok personally i am not a stella nor frederika fan. the way they treat Felice is an absolute no but still that scene killed me). BUT ALSO WILMON’s TENT FIGHT??? I MEAN LIKE. THE SHUSHING. WILLE REFERENCINF SIMON SELLIG TO AUGUST. ABSOLUTELY. FOUL. ok but the one that really did it for me was simon and linda comfort scene. i cried during that scene. i love love love linda and simon so much no one will get it.

ep4: wilmon flirting during the inspection. no further notes . anyways sara and her dad bonding driving singing scene. I didn’t include most of sara’s scenes in my favourite scenes but oh my god can I just say sara, august, and micke this season I loved their stories sos so much. and the singing while driving scene. it hurt me. because as much as I hate to admit it micke reminds me of my own dad (and wille. wille this season. when I watched some of his scenes I got fully afraid). so yeah that’s really important to me!! ok anyway there is also the baking scene. no further notes on this one too. OK BUT THE HALLWAY MAKEOUT I SCREAMED. WHAT. I really really really need edvin and omar’s commentary on this one.

ep4: not many fave scenes in this one but my favourite scene in this ep was probably the one after simon’s home was broke into and wille runs to him and embraces him in a hug. no kissing, no sneaky flirting (as much as I love those things) just pure warmth and love and care. I loved it.

ep5: actually ep5 Broke me but since young royals is just so amazing I still managed to have favourite scenes in this one. first is the music room fight. yes yes I know it was terrible but it was terrible and I loved it. I just really loved the intensity here and it was such a huge contrast from the previous seasons too because tbh s1 and s2 to me were mostly like wille being obsessed with simon and simon being an amazing confident assertive boyfriend. but this season…. this scene… it changed. wille’s angry so much and it’s like simon is just trying his best. he’s sacrificed some of his own feelings to care for wille’s (not saying he didn’t do that previous seasons) it was biggggg. ALSO THE MORNING HAPPY BIRTHDAY. I LOVE YOU WILMON. oh OH OH AND THEN AUGUST GIVING SAFA THE LETTER. like I said previously i actually am kind of rooting for august this season and sara I love her screen time so much she’s such an interesting character. so the combo of this … it was crazy. and I honestly really enjoyed the way sara just hugged august it made me smile very hard but ngl the kiss was abit too much for me. i think that was like…not good of them to do. last but not least wilmon birthday fight. can i just say. the whole cast in that scene were amazing. you know the famous fallen angel painting. that was how amazing edvin’s acting was. it was so so intense. and simon/omar .. i respect them so much in that scene. anyways we’re not gonna talk abt the bed scene because that doesn’t exist in my little head anymore :)

I need to ramble about A Plague Tale: Requiem

Man i have so many thoughts over a plague tale: requiem and i need to share them or write them down somewhere or I think i will aHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

the game is so good dude, like, holy shit. i loved innocence, i really did, but there were some aspects that were okay. ya know? like, sometimes i think there was this whole, "illusion of choice" thing present. like more than one way to get pass enemies but in truth there wasn't really.

but requiem? holy shit dude, requiem really dID give you a choice. I noticed it the MOMENT Lucas pointed out how Amicia (the player, technically) handled the situation, and the game showed 3 different like, skills that will develop depending on how you get by enemies. One for stealth, one for aggressiveness/fighting, and another that I don't really understand but I think it had to do with alchemy. And oh BOY WERE THERE CHOICES IN THIS GAME.

There's like, all kinds of different ways to get by enemies, 17 different PATHS, DUDE IT'S SO GOOD. HOLY SHIT WHAT THE FUCK

the story, oH MY GOD, THE STORY WAS SO GOOD AND TRAGIC. I LOVED the new characters. I absolutely adored Sophia, though I wish they gave Arnaud a bit more screentime. With him we just snuck around and walked around town. With Sophia we like, spent a whole fucking day with her. The game did such a good job at establishing her character. Showing her traits and her thoughts and loyalty. My favorite being after she finds out about the rats, after she finds out about the curse, after she learns EVERYTHING, she STILL choses the kids. She still picks them. Still helps them. She stays by their side until the end and even more so then. GOD, it was so good, and I loved her character. And I'm sO HAPPY SHE DIDN'T DIE.

We didn't see much of Beatrice but one scene with her keeps replaying in my head. When the rats are taking over the town, and Amicia reaches Beatrice and Hugo. Beatrice watches the rats, believing, yet also hoping Amicia's words will reach Hugo in time. And there's a moment, where, she accepts the worst. Accepts the fate of herself and her children. And rather than panicking, rather than scolding Amicia, or telling her to hurry, she hugs them. She hugs her children. She wraps her arms around them and holds them close. Because if this is truly the end, she wants to be with her children.

Beatrice, in all her being and faults, is not a perfect mother. And to me, she didn't have enough screen time to me to truly make an opinion of the type of mother she is. Yet, I think about that scene a lot. Because to me, it shows that she loved Amicia and Hugo dearly. She closed her eyes, held her children, and accepted her fate.

I loved Lucas in this game, you can truly tell that he's a bit more mature. That's he's grown from the previous game, and even the stuff that happened in between the two games (because apparently there's books that go over events between the two games and the moment they get translated I am going to buy the sHIT OUT OF THEM).

I love how he was the balance in this game. He kept Amicia and Hugo, especially Amicia grounded. He calmed them down, comforted them, supported them, held them, he was their strength when they had nothing left.

If the world was being consumed by a hurricane, Lucas was the eye of the storm.

You could tell how much he loved Amicia and Hugo, how much they meant to him. In Innocence it was obvious that he cared for them after a while. But Requiem showed that he began to love them. That they mean everything to him. Maybe it's because Lucas is my favorite character, but it was so obvious that he thought of them as family. Or at least as something as strong as family. They meant everything to him, he loved them both so much. The De Rune were his world, and it hurts to think that he almost lost it, and in some cases, practically did lose it.

Amicia, holy shit Amicia, it's so obvious the effect the 1st game had on her, the consequences, the toll. Amicia is ready for everything to go wrong, but she still holds on to hope that maybe, just maybe it won't. She acts less like a young girl trying to survive and weighing her decisions, and more like an adult who is ready to do what is necessary even if she doesn't want to. And it hurts. It hurts to see what she has become, and to see how the 1st game has changed her. It hurts to see her deal with trauma at a time where stuff like that wasn't really discovered??? At least I don't think it was all that known.

And Hugo? God, Hugo. My poor boy. You can tell how much he wants to be like other kids, how much he wants friends, and peace. How tired he is, he's 5 years old and he's already tired. He hadn't even lived yet, the choice to live was stolen from him by selfish assholes. And it hurts to see how afraid he is of dying in the beginning only to reach the end and... It's just so.. Obvious that he knows what has to be done. That he knows he's going to die. And he's okay with it. Hugo has come to terms with it and it hurts. He's 5. FIVE. FIVE YEARS OLD. When I played Innocence for the first time, all I could think about was, "Hugo has never been outside, this is his 1st time outside. This is his first impression of the outside world. A beautiful yet cruel place" And that thought is still so strong in Requiem. And it hurts.

This game hurts, and it knows it hurts. It's a beautiful yet cruel game. And I love it.

I can't stop thinking about it. It's all I can think about. God, I fucking love this game.

When people would ask me, "What's your favorite game?" I never had an actual answer. I could answer my favorite video game franchise, but I've never had a favorite game before.

Now, though? Requiem changes that.

I adore this game. Replaying it now hurts, but something is missing now. And I know what it is.

I want to experience the game for the first time again. In all it's beauty and pain.

I've never felt that way about a game before. And I love it.

I love Requiem. In all it's being.

To think none of this would have happened if I hadn't stumbled upon a random video showing Innocence's gameplay.

I wouldn't change a thing though.

After all, it’s just peeling an orange. With the rind removed, he carefully returned your orange to you. There are parts where juice came leaking through the thin mesh skin due to his roughness, but you could tell he put in his effort to peel it. All because you asked him to.

Or something like that. I think Kuko would want to comment about how you should peel your own orange but he also can’t say no to you heheh. If Jyushi asked him… He’d swat him in the head with a rolled up magazine.

Also just the fact that the other Archangels were full on ready to alt delete Gabriel’s memories makes me think they are def hiding shit, and they want these things hidden still

I felt like it was super important to highlight the fact that scar and mumbo left them alone. it couldn't just be implied, it had to be written out. you as the reader HAD to know that scar and mumbo made the choice to give them privacy. it was a thing of trust, of knowing immediately that this is That Pearl, the one grian believed he killed, and they needed that privacy to find each other again.

skipping through these-- the way some of the notes are wadded up like trash and stuck through Eddie's locker as if he's trash/his belongings are trash?? I feel like people didn't pick up on that parallel but honestly it just 100% broke my heart for our boy. Like, god damn. To be treated like a trash can like that? Ugh.

And the repetition of phrases and assorted punctuation-- it was SUPER fun to write in this style. Usually my fics are super long so I don't get to play around with like... emphasis? And sentence structure? Because in a long fic you need it to flow. But a shorter fic like this I got to get a little creative and it was super fun.

EDDIE WITH PIERCED NIPPLES IS BEST EDDIE RIGHT

It's not present in my Rest fic but only because i started Rest before I wrote Dirty Little Secret but I feel like Eddie having pierced nipples is going to be a Real Thing in every thing else I write. We deserve it. He deserves it. It's a treat for everyone involved.

Of course it has a happily ever after, I would literally never hurt Eddie (or any of my characters?) like this without giving them a nice ending lol
