*sits up in the middle of the night* in this next universe where vampires seem to have taken over the world, marceline probably either never met simon or he died soon after they met, which means that since her mom also died when she was really young (too young to remember a lot about her i bet), she most likely raised herself completely alone through the apocalypse and never really learned about Morals which is how after getting bitten she joined the vampires and, became evil i guess. we see that even with simons good influence in her formative years she went through a rough path after getting bitten so it would make sense that shed turn out nasty if it wasnt for him. she is part demon. we just saw an universe where simon lost marcy and was fucked up and now we're gonna see one where marcy lost simon and became fucked up

Ok so hopefully you've all seen the new Fionna and Cake trailers (if not, you can find them here and here. One is twitter one is youtube and they're both different) and if you know anything about me at all, you could probably guess that I am going fucking bingo bango bongo bananas over seeing some alternate version of Huntress Wizard in the trailer.
I am confident that this is HuntRESS Wizard and not HuntER Wizard. I believe this HW isn't from Fionna's "normal" genderbent universe and isn't from the farmworld universe either. This is probably a new, previously unseen universe. Why do I think this? For starters, she has a big piece of garlic on the tip of her arrow. That implies something to do with vampires, and we see a gang of vampires later in the trailer.
Additionally, we see a new design for Marceline a couple times during the trailer.
Looking at the background of these shots, they all have the same reddish/brown sky that makes me confident they are all from the same scene. Could this Marcy be a bad guy now? Maybe in a version of Ooo where vampires are way more of a problem? If these four images are indeed from the same scene, then this Huntress Wizard we see can't be from farmworld because Marceline is not a vampire in the farmworld universe (also I'm pretty sure she died from the mushroom bomb in farmworld). Suffice to say, I think we're going to be hopping between a lot of "What If?" style scenarios in the new Fionna and Cake show and I am eagerly awaiting all the juicy content it brings us.

Ok yay another round of first impressions!!! Again, spoilers for Fionna and cake below the cut! (Episodes 5 and 6)
Episode one:
- I became more invested in this episode the further it went, I ended up liking it a lot!
- farmworld society is real neat. I like how ice Finn became some demonic figure to everyone
- FINN GKT KIDS
- I liked the character if the main Finn kid (forget his name already damnnn)
- the forbidden romance was funny, but they left that universe so quickly, I want to know what happens!!
- Simon curses
- what thr hell is up with the pink goop
- Farm Finn mentions his wife is dead (CMONNN). Not sure exactly who she could be, but I’m guessing farm huntress wizard, based off of a few of the kids designs. Specifically the one with ginger hair and green eyes. The soup thing is interesting too
- OH MY GOD THE OLD JAKE IS SO ADORABLE GRAHHHHHH
- and I love that Cake actually likes him like aughhhhh
- (this is hurting my soul)
- most important note: THERE WAS A CHICKEN FOR A SPLIT SECOND I WIN AUTOMATICALLY
Overall solid episode!
Episode two:

- anyways time to see photos of half naked Marshall everywhere for a week now too
- ok real meat: winter king. He’s a lot more cunty than I thought. The song and animation was gorgeous!!

- the whimsical gunters were perfect. Especially the fairy

Rare whump moments in cartoons
A lot of the media I like is animated, and as such, there’s not many whumpy moments in such cartoons or movies, but there are some good moments in them, so here is a non-comprehensive list of pretty good whumpy moments in my good Christian (/j) child cartoons:
True Colors (season 2 episode 20 of Amphibia). Not really until the last five minutes of the episode, but it’s well worth it. Sasha and Anne find out Marcy’s lied to and manipulated them, and also that King Andrias has done the same (not really whump but it adds to it I swear), Sprig is thrown out of a window. From a flying castle that’s nearly a mile above ground. Marcy is stabbed through the abdomen with a flaming sword and with her last conscious moments she apologizes then collapses to the ground presumed dead.
A Bug’s Life (idk the last 30 minutes?) Yeah, you read that right. A Bug’s Life. When Flik is beaten by Hopper. Good shit, good shit. The bruises, the groaning in pain, the attempting to push himself onto his feet only for his strength to fail and he falls down into the ground? Beautiful
Save The Cat (season 5 episode idk 2 or 3 of She-ra 2018). Yeah I know I said I don’t really like lady whump but like this is lesbian angst so it’s fine with me. I’m also a huge sucker for brainwashing/mind control especially when paired with said brainwashed person forced to fight a loved one
Yunan and Olivia (season 3 episode 7 of Amphibia). Holy mother of god I was not expecting that level of whump from the silly frog show. The screaming from Marcy as she’s digitally possessed by the core? Horrifying. Haunts my dreams. Oh and also there’s illusions of the three characters’ biggest traumas/fears/regrets and it’s great. If y’all thought True Colors was bad, you were right, but Yunan and Olivia is worse
The Mortis Arc of the Clone Wars (season 3) Yeah it’s kinda cheating to put an entire arc but like c’mon. 1. Lore about the nature of the force and the prophecy and the chosen one and 2. We had two different fights between the trio with one who was possessed (sorta) (Ahsoka vs Anakin and Obi Wan, then Anakin vs Obi Wan). Does this really count as whump? Ehhhh kinda sorta it’s more angst but whatever
I forgot the name of this episode but it’s some time in DuckTales 2017 season 2. Oh yeah. Fucking DuckTales. Donald gets captured by the moon people (it’s kinda funny they have this unique muzzle/gag thing they slap over his bill and he literally does not say an intelligible word until it’s blown off from an anger outburst). After discovering General Lunaris’s plan to invade earth and kill the triplets, he launches back to earth… only to end up on a deserted island for months without contact with the outside world. He kinda goes a little nuts once the family finds him
ROTTMNT movie. That’s it. The whole damn movie. Leo has the living shit beaten out of him. Raph is possessed. Everyone almost dies
The Bad Batch arc of the Clone Wars season 7. Again, cheating, I know, but holy hell, the arc around rescuing Echo and they find him half-dead, emaciated, white as a sheet, and connected neurologically to the computer system so the Separatists can search his memories for republic strategies? That’s good shit. It leaves a lot up to the imagination as to what, exactly, Echo went through.
Season 2 episode I forgot of Gravity Falls: when Dipper gets possessed by Bill. Not the whumpiest but still ok, especially at the end when he’s like “ohhh everything hurts” cause Bill wore his body out

General Thoughts
OKAY SO! Damn, what an episode. Really delved into Ford’s issues there 👀 got some bits of Sterling (cannot wait to see more of him ngl. he’s seems like the devil on Ford’s shoulder) Hardison and Eliot duo was iconic. Just two dudes trying to heist but panic horribly together lol. Parker was absolutely adorable (no notes, just me). It will be interesting to see how Sophie and Ford’s dynamic continues throughout this season bc they are in a rough patch 🤧 But I have high hopes

The two's relationship is kinda funny actually lol, it started as a joke as all things does with my fucking ocs lol
Hagi doesn't like Fishsticks, like, at all, and to better understand why I'll talk a little about Fishsticks
He started out as a villain in the story, he is more of an antagonist now? But isn't a full blown villain, but he still does a lot the same as before. He's bad, no doubt about it, his mindset is of that "as long as I am honest about my intentions, it isn't my fault if people decide to take on the offer"
He is honest with his work, he doesn't lie to get people working for him, brutally honest guy
He knows his work isn't good work, but it's honest work, he is a very respected man on his buisness, especially since he is willing to show mercy and care more for his workers than other bosses, which makes him attractive to work with, but just because he treats em better doesn't mean he's always a good boss either, he shows favouritism and isn't shy about it either, he still talks bad about some of them and isn't scared to show his disappointment, he doesn't punish them though, unless they try to conspire against each other or him.
He roped in Skipper in his lowest moment, he had been chasing the boy since they met and took the opportunity he was abandoned and alone to recruit him, he treated him better than his other boss after all, and he doesn't seem to notice that he took a liking to the boy a little more than he bargened for until much later.
Since the two first met, Hagi took a dislike de him, they were married and divorced the first second they met XD
They have this dynamic of annoyed X flirtatious, Fishsticks is head over heals for Hagi and loooooves to annoy him ever chance he gets and Hagi has never hated a man more (that's a lie, he hates Skipper's first boss more), he kinda begrudgingly hangs out with Fishsticks for his son, they do grow fonder over time, but he still doesn't like the work Fishsticks does, but has come around to help his lackies after a rough work day when he is called upon (being a doctor and all and the buisness they do putting them at risk if going to a public hospital)
Fishsticks recruit those in need, taking advantage of their vulnerable state, but Hagi can't deny he's also done good working considering how poor the Splatlands are and many needing work, Fishsticks determination to change the system and all, even through not so... favourable means
He's not good, but he's not bad either
As for Skipper and his friends, well, i think you already know Cherry, her being the first he met since she was working with their old boss way before he joined, she helped him a lot
The other two, El he met after Cherry "died", having been fond of their music, after they suddenly stopped producing music, with Skipper publishing a goodbye song visibly lacking his band mate, he went searching for answers. Now I don't know if he goes to Cherry or Skipper first, but I'm leaning on the idea that he met up with Skipper first, asking for him to start his band again and that he's willing to do Cherry's part, he refuses saying that no one can replace her. Some time later he finds Cherry and tells her she knows where Skipper is and reunites them, at that point he's willing to drop the band idea, but to his surprise they start up again and invite him in
He offers them protection and to help keep their anonymity being a very popular hacker in the underground community
Ame, she is found when they were looking for a drummer, no one auditioned except her, but because she was still a child they refused since they didn't want her getting involved in their work, but she persists and eventually they let her in, especially since she is good on the drums, it's inevitable she gets involved but they do their work to keep her as safe as possible
How they realised they had feelings? Honestly it keeps changing depending on what sad romance song I'm listening to XD
But for the most part, I'm pretty sure it's Skipper who does first, breaking their friendship once it starts getting a little too close after he realised that in his line of work, he'd get hurt, but he still longs for him, noticible in the type of song he writes
He still wishes for Emperor to love him regardless, he's created this version of him in his head that if Emperor knew the type of work he did, found out of what he has done, he'd leave him, he doesn't want to face that reality and leaves before any heartbreak on both ends
But Emperor chases him regardless, especially after finding out how much he truly loved the guy
But I also like the idea that Emepror loved first, and when he found out what Skipper does he is mad and they have a huge fight, making Skipper's worst fear come true and he leaves
After a while Emperor tries to forget him, they cross paths a lot, unknowing to him, and eventually get tangled up together and are forced to help each other out, still feeling bitter, but after a while, they actually talk it out and realise they still love each other, Skipper tries to part ways again once Emperor got hurt, but Emperor keeps chasing him regardless
Idk, I really like enemies to lovers and I've been trying to do that with them but it's a little hard, what I wrote is prone to change a lot, I'll be honest, I wish I had a little help with it but my friend that usually does help me with this stuff knows nothing bout splatoon lore and the manga, so it's a little hard-
And now for how he was like before? Well, he was still a very violent little thing XD he worked hard to be where he is now, my personal interpretation of splatoon is that females are the dominant species (which they are btw! It is stated several times by devs that the girls are stronger lol and even irl, female octo are the dominant ones, idk bout squids tho) as we can see being that there are only female octolings fighting
Of course there are exceptions, as we see with DJ Octavio, but I feel they have to work a lot harder to be in those positions
Which is the case for Skipper, for him to be a seaweed octoling at such a young age, he was basically a prodigy! And he loved it! He loves the adrenaline that comes with working as a soldier, he loves being seen as strong and doesn't like it when it is implied otherwise
Massive ego, but also pretty caring towards those he cares about, he wasn't afraid to show affection or show that he cared (which you can see isn't the case anymore as his old boss made him believe that showing he cared was a weakness, showing he cared for Cherry got her killed after all, and he already had some hesitancy as he had lost people he cared for, he was scared to get close again), he was pretty curious too and loved to learn about people's anatomy thanks to his dad being a doctor, as well as plants and sometimes alchemy, which led to him later be known as the guy with poison
He didn't change all that much besides being weary and depressed and having major PTSD lmao, personality wise, it's still mostly intact, he still likes to look and dress the way he does and still loves music

ok, im gonna try my hand at a proper memory post. i hope this isnt too confusing, im trying to set them up in order to form a timeline but its hard cus everythings kinda fuzzy
this will ( hopefully ) expand as i remember more stuff, so its always gonna be a wip
last updated nov. 11th
PRE-TURNING & TURNING
- im the original vampworld finn - i dont think babyworld finn was ever a thing in my timeline. not that i know of anyway
- before i was turned, i was a kid living on my own. i moved camps often, equipped with stakes and all to defend myself from the vampires. this is when i had my hat, to protect my neck. i came in contact with bonnie and the other hunters before, but i decided not to stay. i didnt like them much. we butted heads a lot. i had no memory of my family, i was alone for as long as i could remember. i was more of a vegabond than a hunter, but i learned a lot from vampire hunters on how to survive
- when i was 15, the star found my camp, along with a group of hunting vampires. i killed most of them and gave the star a good stab to the chest, but missed the heart. hissing in rage, she ripped off my hood and grabbed my hair, dragging me all the way to the vampire hive.
- she threw me in front of the vampire king. i was terrified. he was terrifying. he was the one who turned me - i still remember his fangs in my neck.
VAMP LIVIN'
- they threw me in a cell in the hive while i turned. it was fucking agony. i was left alone with no food or company at all while i underwent mental and psychical torture from the turning process (see the animals in the stakes arc. yeah)
- i was alone and starving up until the star came in. she dragged into a room and gave me my first taste of blood. i refused but eventually caved. Heres more on that i guess
- after that i started moving up the ranks. i started leaning more and more into my new vampire status and slowly but surely, i earned my tarot name. the sun. marcy and i became extremely close and she served as a big sister figure
- the vampire king hated me. he only tolerated my presence because his daughter liked me so much. he turned me thinking I'd be just another low-level vampire under his watch, but i wasnt. i think he would have killed me if marceline wasnt there

- i dont fully remember what happened with the other members of the vampire king's court. i think they all had their own hives and servants in different parts of the world. i vaguely remember simon petrikov being in the empress' court
- i think martin died? the things that happened in the f&c episode happened but without fionna, cake or simon. and babyworld finn. i think i was there on the side of the vamps, maybe. i know marcy and bonnie both survived their fall
- i think after that bonnie was captured by the vampires. i felt pity for her since i knew what being locked in a cell felt like. marcy often came to taunt her after she recovered from her own injuries. i followed, obviously, but i mostly stayed quiet.
- i think i might have let bonnie go. she didnt wait for a second to make a break for it, she even attacked me with a hidden stake she had on her. it gave me a scar above my eye.
- i got in huge fucking trouble for it as you could imagine. i think this is when i lost my arm. the vampire king ripped it off in rage as punishment. i was so out of it so i dont remember it well, but i remember seeing blood from my Arm Nub and marcy arguing with the vk as i slowly lost consciousness. i couldn't hear what they were saying, my ears were ringing
ESCAPE FROM THE HIVE
- sometime after that, idk when, i escaped the hive. I went back to being a loner, but i targeted vampires specifically. i would attack the odd mutant, but that was mostly for feeding reasons. i actively started hunting members of the vk's court. i wanted marcy to come with me, but i knew she wouldn't. so i just disappeared and went into hiding
- i think my timeline had a vampworld fern??? i dont think their name was fern, im pretty sure they went by thorn. i vaguely remember(??) getting found by bonnie and the hunters after escaping the hive and seeing some kid with them.
- thorn still had the grass curse, i think. they could grow the grass sword and had the thorn sticking out of their hand, which they always kept covered by bandages. they were pretty quiet, probably cus i dont think them and bonnie had a great relationship
- my meeting with bonnie and the others didn't last, though. bonnie wanted me DEAD. i was drained from lack of blood and energy, so i did the sensible thing and i ran.
- somewhere along the line, i met someone interesting. another vampire, named marshall. yep, we had a marshall too!
- he was pretty freaking cool. he was a rogue vampire who lived on his own, saying he "takes what he wants when he wants it." of course, i thought he was the coolest guy ever
- marshall was marceline's twin brother. they were separated when the mushroom war happened, and grew up separately. they didnt even remember each other. upon finding out, marshall would express ( rather loudly ) that he wanted no part in being royalty. them being related also technically made marshall my brother, which was awesome
- marshall got a lot of the demon stuff, i think. i remember him having a human disguise that looked like fionnaworld marsh, just with uh. scary teeth lol.
- me and him traveled around a little bit together for a little. it was cool, but he made me miss the hive a lot because him and marcy were so similar.

this is an excuse to talk abt amphibia to your hearts content (if there’s any thoughts that’s still unsaid)
debating whether to use this ask as an excuse to talk about the ten years in between w the gorls and sasha and anne’s relationship specifically or whether i should discuss hop pop’s ambiguous backstory which keeps me up at night. ok ykw im gonna do both
gonna start w the hop pop thing:
so we know that he went to college because he says he majored in theater, but the only university we see in amphibia is in newtopia, and it’s pretty damn clear he didn’t go there. maybe there are bigger frog cities, or smaller newt cities? there are literally no schools in wartwood, but he obviously grew up there bc he’s a plantar, so like. what’s the deal with that. and then there’s the fact that he’s The Wrecker, which is literally never brought up again. sprig asks him if he’s ever killed a man and he’s just like “ha ha okay!” and they move past it. but hop pop has definitely killed a man. if not multiple. much to think about.
and then of course, the ultimate mystery, which is hop pop’s kid(s). since he’s sprig and polly’s grandpa, that means that his kid was either their mother or father (I’m gonna say mother bc it seems more thematically appropriate, what with leif, and sprig’s discussion of his mom and everything). and we know he never had kids with sylvia, because sylvia’s kid is ivy’s mom, and that would be weird as fuck, so he must have had some other frog wife or smth, that he talks about just as little as his dead kid (okay maybe they weren’t married, but then again, hop pop is very traditional and a huge romantic, so I do think he was probably once married and she died, maybe even in the same heron attack). but yeah, obviously the funny little frog show would not go much in depth about the tragedy that has plagued hop pop’s life, but it makes me so sad to think about how he lost his family, and we know so little of his past otherwise. hop pop is a really underrated character and I think about him a lot ok.
and okay now onto the sashanne of it all:
first of all i think sasha and anne would start dating a little after marcy first leaves, because it just feels like the natural extension of their relationship. and it feels so right, but it also starts to occurs to them that they’re actually too attached to each other, and with all their baggage and codependency, they’re stagnating as individuals outside of this specific relationship. i think anne’s parents would probably help her wake up to this fact, but it would be difficult to talk to sasha about it at first because anne is literally her only real support system, and even then she’s only very recently learned how to be vulnerable in front of her. sasha’s like “man I miss grime. he always had the best advice.” and anne’s like “girl wtf are u talking about his advice was always to like. behead ur enemies and die gloriously in battle” and sasha’s like “yeah........... <3”
anyway anne tells sasha that even if they should make new friends and see other people for the time being, that doesn’t mean they’ll stop being friends and sasha is like “you better fucking mean that bc idk what i would do if i lost you (again)” and anne is like “same tho” so they find new friendgroups and new interests and people to date outside of just each other, but sometimes they still just call each other up at night and have a sleepover and talk about all the fucked up shit that happened to them, or they’ll find each other at school and just hug for a really long time without saying a word and then be like “thanks” and walk away. and their new friends in their new friendgroups are always like “wow it’s always so weird to me when I remember that you’re friends with her” which causes them to laugh so hard.
anne sort of dates some of the dykes in her friend group, but she realizes she still has a lot to work on emotionally before entering a serious relationship again. I see her first serious relationship (outside of sasha) being in college with an indonesian girl who really loves reptiles and softball (everyone always jokes about them being girlfriend twins and they’re like NO we are SO DIFFERENT ACTUALLY!!!!), whereas sasha actually gets a serious boyfriend when she’s 16 and they’re together until they part ways for college. at first anne is kind of blindsided by the fact that sasha is with a GUY, not because she’s biphobic, prommy!!!!! but because it never occurred to her that sasha would actually have different taste from her in any area ever, and here she is liking MEN. but sasha’s bf is actually really good for her, and they’re genuinely happy together, even if no one is more surprised that sasha likes a boy than sasha herself.
when sasha has sex with him for the first time she calls anne up afterwards and is like “ok so I technically lost my virginity??? that was Sooo weird” and anne’s like “weird bad?” and sasha’s like “no it was really good.... just weird. I guess I always pictured you there..” and anne’s like “you mean like, in the corner, watching?” and sasha laughs but then she doesn’t really elaborate bc she knows anne knows what she means. the fact that they’re not literally experiencing everything together is still kind of surreal. and then anne is like “okay well you should tell marcy too bc this is the kind of thing she’d find fascinating. like anthropologically” and sasha does but almost immediately regrets it bc marcy seems to care way more about the details of the sex, like “how does it work?” and “is the female orgasm actually a myth?” etc etc. but then sasha asks marcy about the new ttrpg she’s playing and oh so cleverly diverts marcy away from analyzing her nascent sex life. thank god.
they do end up going to prom together (sasha’s bf is just like “okay I mean. I guess I have to be fine with this.” hes rly chill so he doesn’t mind that sasha is still clearly in love with her ex and said ex loves to affectionately bully him at all times) and the night kind of gets weird towards the end when they’re just drunk enough to get emotional but not too drunk that their brains don’t work, so they ditch the afterparty together to go sit on the swingset from their childhood in the middle of the night in their fancy little outfits (I think anne would wear a suit but idk if sasha would wear a dress or a suit. either way they’re matching in purple lol) and they just talk and drink and cry a little. and then sasha’s bf drives them both home. the next morning anne wakes up to her first raging hangover and she calls up sasha like “ok do u feel as awful as i do right now” and sasha’s like “honey I am so sorry to tell u this but not even a little bit. I’ve been drinking since I was like 12” and anne’s like “WHAT??!?” and then sasha reminds her that she is descended from white people who love vodka and anne is like oh right. okay yeah.
after sasha and her bf break up on mutual amicable terms bc they’re going to different colleges, she only ever dates girls afterwards. anne sort of wants to chalk it up to a fluke but sasha insists that she’s bi, even if she is like, a kinsey 5, and anne’s like “okay fine. I think [insert guy from kpop group here] is hot but you don’t see me iding as bi” and sasha’s like “anne I had SEX with him. a LOT.” they text pretty frequently even though they’re at different schools entirely for the first time ever. obviously they’re in a groupchat with marcy and they have been forever, but they also have their own private chat for when they wanna talk about things that marcy just wouldn’t get, or when they wanna talk about marcy (mostly just about how happy they are for her that she seems to be really thriving with her friend group of likeminded nerds who actually care about tolkien and shit like that). but they don’t see each other every day anymore, and that’s kind of weird. but then again, it’s also part of growing up, and they’ve grown a lot since their amphibia days.
when marcy visits for anne’s rebirthday, they are all so happy to see one another, and they talk long into the night. at which point marcy finally learns that anne and sasha dated for like a year after she left LA. and she’s like “why did you keep this from me???” and they’re like “oh.... it wasn’t on purpose” but it suddenly occurs to them that they never mentioned it in the groupchat or even when marcy came back to visit all those times. that’s probably bad... right? at least they’re not codependent like that any more though. and sasha’s like “yeah we are fully formed individuals now” and they high five and at that exact moment they both realize that if they wanted to try dating again it would probably go a lot better this time around. at the very least, they’d have the tools and real life experience (and not just experience leading armies) to work through their issues when they arise. so in real time marcy watches them be like “wait do you wanna try this again? I mean im down if you are but like....” and then they both turn to marcy and are like “you’re invited too of course” and marcys like “wow im so flattered! this is a dream come true for little ol me! but actually, im in a serious relationship hehe!” and it’s their turn to be like “WHAT??????”

i think princess bubblegum is (and has pretty much always been) neutral good and marceline went lawful good (before being turned) -> chaotic neutral (obsidian flashback era until the early seasons) -> true neutral (early to mid seasons till stakes) -> neutral good (season 7 until the end of the show) -> almost lawful good (end of the show and fowards)

Going though Daredevil kinkmemes really got my fic readers brain going burrrr
Unfortunately it was closed in 2017 but I have a few ideas if anyone else wants to write/read them as much as I want to!!
Ok honestly season 2 Matt is so fucked up that my depression brain goes if that ever happened to me (my only friends leave me cuz I fucked up, my exgf died in my arms, my dream career just went in flames, I’m stopping the one thing that makes me feel like a hero to try to get my friends back) I would unalive myself. And Matt is already so fucked in mentally ill land he def thought of it. And foggy and Karen went completely no contact w him. I feed on guilt and angst.
Matt commits —- and no one knows for months
-Matt meets dex and trains him on how to be Daredevil while he himself is not daredevil. Dex and him get along really well and dex considers Matt as his North.
-Matt tries to connect w foggy and Karen but something happens too busy w work/fight/whatever and so Matt thinks they really don’t care anymore. At this point he feels the dex is ready to be DD
-Matt unlives himself. Dex finds him. 100+ if dex doesn’t know who he really is so dex waits for someone to realize that Matt is gone but no one comes. Dex has an even further mental breakdown cuz he’s been w his north stars body for days now and no one gives a shit.
-months/years foggy and Karen get in a situation and DDDex saves them. Dex has been the new DD but he kills (or not cuz Matt was so against killing but maybe he feels that HK betrayed his north) foggy and karen ream DD thinking it’s Matt.
-dex realized that they knew OGDD and knew knew him. Maybe hates them? He revealed that he is Dex not Matt and Matt has been dead for months/years cuz he unlived himself
-extremely guilty foggy and Karen and Dex (like nitty gritty guilt and grief and horror)
100+ Matt tells dex “I’m not ment for love everyone I love leaves me I’ll be alone forever” dex says no but maybe dex left to do something and comes back to Matt’s body and realized that Matt died alone and that Matt is now truly alone forever.
1000+ a few months after Matt dies but a few months before foggy and karen find out Frank castle sees on the news that DD kills early into Dexs DD career and goes to talk the DD thinking it’s Matt trying to convince Matt to stop killing only to find out it’s Dex and that Matt unlived himself. Frank tried to tell foggy and karen but thy are so horrified the DD kills that they don’t want to hear about Matt at all.
300+ everyone else finds out the Matt Kd himself and they don’t notice, foggy, karen, Brett, Marci, Claire, Frank, father Lantom, past clients, sister Maggie Murdock
Guys make this shit SAD I want to be bawling. Rip my heart to shreds I don’t need it.

ok so basically to sum up our points.
we don't know what winter king was like directly after the transfer, or the circumstances it happened in. all we can gather is that he did it while still insane, thus it's debatable how much agency he had in this event. we do know that he didn't go back once it happened, which is the real decision.
how did he react, to suddenly be sane? does he feel bad initially? does he know immediately what happened, or does he piece it together because he didn't do it with a sane mind? we don't know. we have no information on the event or his initial reaction. all we know is that it happened 100 years ago and presumably he doesn't feel bad anymore, if he ever did.
now, for the actual events: personally, I don't like the theory that he killed marceline. with the narrative throughline of the star being a marceline without simon (and how that impacts her ethics), it makes the most sense for wk to be a simon without marceline and how that impacts his ethics. what happened is up for debate but him killing her post coming back doesn't make sense w/ the parallel. it's unclear what happened to betty, but presumably she didn't come to the future and thus probably died in the apocalypse. this is a simon who came back alone.
now, the crown. if we look at the ice king in the retelling of events, we can see that he's a lot angrier than the ik we know in the show. this could be due to a lot of factors, losing marceline, not having betty, etc but what really matters is that the crown's curse is supposed to make you like master evergreen. ice king never quite got there because simon's love persevered in some aspects of ice king. but if wk lost that love in some way, then it makes sense that the curse would affect him differently as ik.
it's possible also that when he transferred his madness, he also transferred the sadness attached to these relationships (due to madness/sadness being linked with magic). however why would he have ice marcy if he didn't feel some negative feelings about not having the real marceline (however you believe that happened)? we know through meta information that some of the curse still lingers, but to what degree?
if you believe the winter kings ik was cursed the same as mainworld simon, then he may have transferred that version of madness to her. but with the way she talks about him, and the plan to blend them together, it seems likely that her obsession stems from subconsciously knowing they "belong together": her madness belongs to him. this part in particular and how/if the curse differs and what that means for cq is up for debate. I think the marceline aspect is way more important than the throwaway betty line anyways.
personally, I think the reason he doesn't have empathy for her is simple: he's had 100 years to get over it. if you spend 100 years living in a bubble (snow globe if you will) where everything is perfect and everyone loves you and you don't need to face the consequences of your actions, while getting to live your life to the fullest after your whole self was taken from you... well, you might get a bit empathetic to the suffering of people outside your bubble. he's in full denial mode because he doesn't want to go back to being ik, so he just completely avoids unpacking any of it to live in his fantasies

bubblegum in my lich finn world. god
ok so context, jake fucking dies after being separated from the lich when finn severs the lich hand from him and becomes the vessel instead. finn beats back the lich's whispers and commands through sheer force of will after going through so many psychic dungeons (experience) and decides to isolate himself somewhere so he can contain the lich within his freshly undead body for eternity so nobody ever has to suffer at his hands again
so. bubblegum goes from having these two lovely and determined friends to having two less of those. and the way she retreats and compartmentalizes when under duress kicks into overdrive - she retreats into her castle and works hard at militaristic defense mechanisms for her kingdom now that her primary hero has holed himself up in a cave for eternity. tries to smother her grief in work. she barely talks to anyone. she and marceline don't end up dating (SAD) because she's so insistent on isolating herself and not talking about Any Of This Stuff that she's processing
the sudden loss of both of them hits a lot of people in this alternate ooo super hard. ice king basically only has marcy to lean on for getting any meaningful socialization whatsoever, marcy is having to shoulder that responsibility AND the loss of her close friends (and sometimes bandmates, so even her music feels lonely), lady rainicorn lost her basically-husband and all the pups lost their weird cool dad, the general public grieves and panics because what are they gonna do without the heroes, etc etc
this world is part of the across the finnverse thing so when five different finn variants show up in this world and go "hi wheres this world's lich we're gonna kill him!" they don't understand right away why everyone is so aghast

Another episode of longsuffering older sibling having to deal with annoying younger siblings messing up all their shit. These writers must be completely traumatised by the experience of having younger siblings. But at least these ones aren't like Polly and actually express some remorse for destroying shit. Apparently making sure that your younger siblings don't steal your extremely dangerous magic book to do some sort of plastic surgery on themselves is your responsibility as an older sister. That makes sense . But it's NOT your responsibility to entertain them to keep them from idiotic behaviour. Imo. But I guess that just goes to show I'm a younger sibling.
The funny thing is that I would be Marcy in this scenario but somehow she's my least favourite. She's alright. But she's not getting treated right by the narrative
So first temple is brain. And wisdom (Marcy)
