#one thing that annoys me about rwrb fics is that no one seems to understand that Henry isn't second in line for the throne #he's fourth #Mary is Queen #Catherine is the Queen in waiting #then Phillip #then Beatrice #then Henry #every child born to Phillip or Bea would push Henry even further away from the throne #there's just a whole lot of drama in fics about this when really it's a non-issue #he has responsibilities as Prince (also how he ended up the Prince of Wales has confused me - wtf is Phillip?) but not as second in line #(Prince of Wales is the heir apparent fyi) #(so really Catherine should be Princess of Wales; Phillip should be Duke of Cambridge) #look i know it's a much more wonderful world than ours but Catherine is literally next in line canonically #unless they're saying he's Prince of Wales because Catherine is Princess of Wales and somehow Henry hasn't inherited any titles? #by 24???? #like i hate the monarchy and want them gone don't mistake me #but that's how that works #(do not come at me with Henry rejecting his royal income; that is different.) #OKAY I went and looked and he does style himself as HRH Prince Henry of Wales (Not Henry‚ Prince of Wales) at least according to one email #so he just doesn't have any inherited titles???? #which is still confusing given he's an adult working royal?????
