It’s debilitating at the least and people are expected to just be overjoyed and filled with praise and gratitude after suffering nine months of complete agony and then pushing a child out of what is normally a two inch slit. So I’m thinking after Viserys banished him and he knew he wouldn’t see his little sea dragon again it broke him but he had to try and make a life for himself. Over the years he ended up ruling and being a good King. He never got married but he did want a family, he wanted kids. Trying to fill the hole in his heart. He tried initially w a mistress but nothing, and then other woman over the years, woman who had children, perhaps a few. Different methods searched but nothing worked. And he had to resign himself to the fact the fault was with him and he wouldn’t be a father. He even wondered if it was another cruelty from his brother that he didn’t want more of him in the world. So he was cut off from his family his home largely his mer abilities, the sea connection itself, and on top of that he wouldn’t be able to make his own family. So when he starts making love w Rhaenyra he never even considers it and he is overjoyed when they find out they’re to have a child. Like he is so frickin happy!!! The fact he gets to be a father and with her makes it the best he could imagine. And he’s kind of glad he could never before. Because a family with her is perfect. It’s all he wants.

I just..... thank you. Thank you thank you thank you for the anniversary asks, pieces, letters.... I am overwhelmed and overjoyed by the love which is in my inbox today because of my anniversary with Joker and I truly cannot thank you all enough for being so wonderful and supportive.

I unfortunately ran out of time today to get everything done here which I wanted to (🙄🙄🙄) so tomorrow I'm gonna wake up early and plan my study breaks to be throughout the day. During those times, I'll be busy here answering asks, DMs and the like so that I can properly attend to and express my gratitude to everyone here.
