dad!mammon headcanons | obey me!

notes: been talking talking with the gacha game hell gc over what Mammon being a dad would be like (after talking about Itaru from A3 being a dad lmao) so here’s some headcanons of father Mammon with pregnant!MC and how the rest of the Obey Me charas would react! female pronouns will be used

Mammon is a nervous dad at first. he doesn’t know how to treat or take care of a child, but he knows you’ll be there to help guide him

he LOVES shopping for the baby. he gets all excited and adds lots of items to his cart from Akuzon. you have to physically stop him from going overboard. his sense of baby fashion is either spot on (thanks to his time as a model for Majolish) or downright awful because he doesn’t know what would suit a baby. but he’s trying his best and we love him for that

he’s a doting father all the way. he may be the Avatar of Greed, but his child and wife deserve the world and he’s willing to give them exactly that

if someone has a bone to pick with Mammon over past debt issues and takes it out on his kid or wife, Mammon will be sure to make the thug sorry

when you’re in the first stages of pregnancy, Mammon doesn’t fret much over you. it isn’t until you start showing that he’s at your beck and call. he’d abandon everything if you needed his assistance.

he’s also the father who makes bets with other people. “I bet my kid can walk by the age of x” or “Mammon Jr. will be able to fully read and speak by the time they’re x years old!”.

growing up in a large family, Mammon Jr. has TONS of uncles, each of them doting in their own way. they all make fun of Mammon in front of his kid, causing Mammon to get hyper defensive

Lucifer is still as strict as ever. he teaches the kid how to be responsible and about the real world from a young age. however, he also teaches the kid how to prank Mammon. he shows Mammon Jr. the best ways to tie someone up, to fight, etc. it causes you to worry slightly, although you maybe trust that Lucifer won’t go overboard. after all, he is the oldest of 7

Beel accidentally nearly eats Mammon Jr. on multiple occasions

nah. on a real note, Beelzebub takes Mammon Jr. to all different kinds of restaurants and cafés in the Devildom. he wants the kid to try all different kinds of food, especially his favourites. in the end, though, it’s Mammon who has to pay for it all. Beel teaches Mammon’s Jr. how to use Puppy Dog eyes (it’s very effective!) and Mammon just cannot resist such a face

Belphegor is the worst babysitter. he’d just nap with the kid, that’s it. he’d make sure the kid is occupied before he himself plops onto his bed and falls asleep

both you and Mammon are wary of leaving your child with Asmodeus. while Asmo is a doting uncle in his own right—he teaches Mammon Jr. how to apply makeup, DIY mani-pedis, how to take care of your skin, the products to use, etc.—there are times when he can be a bit too, ah, overbearing and vulgar at times. nevertheless, Asmo does care for his little niece/nephew, and both you and even Mammon understand that

Satan is probably the most “normal” uncle of them all. he shows the kid different books and spells and whatnot. he’s responsible enough to not allow Mammon Jr. to be harmed. he’s the kid’s second biggest support system, after you and Mammon, and he’s always willing to lend an ear or some of his time

Leviathan is definitely the least responsible uncle. he’ll teach his nephew/niece how to play video games, the art of otome, the best idol bands, etc. but because of his gamer-otaku shut-in self, you absolutely cannot let him babysit Mammon Jr. by himself for too long as he will be easily distracted and be immersed into whatever he’s doing, and may forget that he’s supposed to be supervising a child. sometimes he’ll use Mammon Jr. for gacha pulls, claiming they’re his “lucky charm” to getting all the rare cards and equipments

Levi’s definitely a better uncle when the kid is older though; specifically, when the kid is in their teens and can play games alongside him. Leviathan is more like a best friend/cousin than an uncle

Diavolo absolutely ADORES little Mammon. he uses every excuse possible in order to visit your and Mammon’s place and to visit the little tyke. he brings gifts and candy and all sorts of goodies any child—human or not—could ever dream of. heck, he even promises that the kid will have lots of opportunities in the future and in his court, if that’s what the child wants to do in the future.

“MAMMON, WHERE’S OUR CHILD” “WHA? WHADDYA MEAN? HOW SHOULD I KNOW? “MAMMON YOU IDIOT”

meanwhile, Diavolo’s bouncing Mammon Jr. on his knee while he’s attending Devildom meetings and whatnot. he absolutely does not care how the other demons perceive him—he is absolutely enamoured with this child and he’d do anything to protect them.

if Diavolo has some emergency meeting or whatnot to attend to, he leaves Mammon Jr. to Barbatos, who safely returns the child to their parents because you didn’t know they were at Diavolo’s in the first place, much fo the demon king’s dismay

Luke and Simeon love your kid. Luke bakes tons of sweets and Simeon finds every excuse to hang out. he’s kind of like a wine aunt tbh

“a half human, half demon child? and MC’s child, no less? this is interesting.”

Solomon is very intrigued by the child, to put it bluntly. he has to constantly be put in check or else his desires to run experiments on devote his full attention on Mammon Jr. would run wild.

in all, they are absolutely in love and wish to protect and cherish yours and Mammon’s child. despite the brothers’ differences, it’s ultimately you and your bond with each of them that causes them to look past their differences and come together to ensure your child grows up happily and healthily, and hoping they know that they are loved and cherished.
