Shoutout to baby Diavolo for realising his father was a shitty dad & that he needed some real adult supervision so he goes out shopping for a brand new dad and picks possibly the oldest being in creation

Also makes adult Diavolo being so upset in S3 about forcing Barbatos into servitude so funny Babygirl you were a literal child - terrified and neglected - whom Barbatos could have wiped out of existence with a flick of his finger and instead he found you so adorable he decided for himself that he would look after you for the rest of eternity

Do you think Barbatos and Lucifer have ,(spiked) tea parties about once being powerful, respected, stoic and mostly solitary beings but then one day they decided to adopt some kid - who was a kind yet excitable ball of sunshine and wasn't getting the love, attention and/or understanding he needed from his current guardian - purely because they found him (and his sheer audacity) adorable and now they have to deal with the utter chaos their lives subsequently devolved into?

And you know how Luke is definitely Simeon's kid? And how Diavolo is definitely Barbatos's kid? And how Barbatos plays such a big role in Luke's life that he's basically Luke's other parent? And how married Barbatos & Simeon seem in their chat? Do you think one day Luke's gonna wake up in horror and realise the future Demon King is technically pretty much his step-brother?

Dateables (+Luke!) Dancing With MC

A/N: I love this idea sm y’all don’t even know. Same format as before :3

Scenario: Everyone is at a ball at the castle, and this is how I imagine each of the dateables (+ Luke) would ask MC to a dance.

Brothers Ver.

Diavolo

One of the things the prince wanted to do at this ball was to dance with MC. He’s very clear about this when he walks up to MC and asks to dance, holding out his hand with a smile on his face. He ignores the people giving them looks as they glide across the dance floor. He’s definitely aware of them, but wants to focus on MC. Years of practicing ballroom dancing paid off as he expertly and gracefully dances with the human. He isn’t nearly as dramatic as Asmo and Satan, but there are some spins here and there, and even some improvised dance moves. Will thank MC for dancing with him after, and if they don’t excuse themselves, he would ask if they want to stay by his side for a bit longer.

Barbatos

With Diavolo’s nagging encouragement, he politely goes to ask MC to dance. He’s very gentlemanly about it and starts the dance off with a bow. He is one of the best at dancing, having taught Diavolo it when the prince was younger. It is one of his many skills. Barbatos will gently corrects MC if they were to ever mess up, it’s kinda like a lesson in itself if they don’t know how to dance well, if at all. After it ends, he’ll end it with another bow and be on his way. His face remains neutral but Diavolo could tell he got some joy out of it.

Simeon

Like Satan, he is determined to be the first one MC dances with, although will settle for second or third. He initiates a conversation first before mentioning how nice everyone looks while dancing, which allows him to ask if they want to dance with him. He’ll be very happy when they say yes but will quickly compose himself. Simeon’s dancing is a bit rusty, so the angel might step on their toes once or twice before quickly getting into a rhythm, obviously being very apologetic and embarrassed about it. After the dance, he’s in a good mood for the rest of the night.

Solomon

Solomon will probably, shamelessly, interrupt a conversation that MC is having, especially if it’s with one of the brothers. That or he’ll insert himself in if the conversation interests him. Either way, he asks if they want to dance with him and quickly goes to the ballroom floor when they say yes. Wanting to have fun with it yet still make sure the dance is good, while dancing the waltz or whatever dance they are doing, he throws in some moves that he happens to remember from ye olden times, as well as other improvised dance moves. After the dance, he says his thanks with a kiss on their hand, smirking while looking up to see their reaction. If MC shows any interest in the dance moves from the old days, Solomon says he’ll happily set some time away to teach them

Luke

He might be a bit embarrassed to ask MC to a dance, but with Solomon and Simeon’s encouragement, he tugs on their outfit and quietly asks if they wanna dance with him. He’s pleasantly surprised when they say yes and has a big smile on his face. The dancing isn’t really graceful at the beginning but it turns out to be an improvised dance, with a few more silly dance moves thrown in. It’s absolutely adorable seeing these two dancing and he’ll ramble about it all to Simeon and Solomon later back at Purgatory Hall.

Random Thoughts ❤️‍🩹

A dynamic that's been hinted at and should be expanded upon in the game, for Today's Topic: Mammon and Michael's Relationship

Warning: Spoilers for Obey Me, mentions of unseen characters, neglect? (Kind of)

It's a bit baffling to me that the devs haven't addressed this, but the fans surely have! For better or for worse (mostly worse for Michael tho).

But really, the concept of the brother's previous relationships and what they mean to them now that they're demons, is really fascinating.

We get bits and pieces from Simeon and how he deals with his complicated emotions towards the demons he once called brothers, but that's a topic for another day.

So let's break down what we know about Michael the Archangel:

Michael is the leader of the Celestial Realm's legion of angels.

He was described as Lucifer's "twin," having been very close to one another.

During his early life in the Celestial Realm, Mammon was once the little brother of Michael.

According to Asmodeus in Lesson 27-19, Michael couldn't handle/didn't know how to deal with Mammon, and as such, Lucifer had taken Mammon under his care.

Michael himself has been described as "too upfront about his desires," and places unreasonable responsibilities and tasks upon the people who work under him.

However, many of those same angels respect him and see him as a good person.

Both Mammon and Raphael view him as "weird" and "socially inept."

Many of Luke and Simeon's tasks to Michael, according to the chats, are to find and bring him sweets. He apparently has pretty lavish tastes.

Luke has stated repeatedly that Michael is one of his mentors and reports directly to him.

And according to Simeon, Michael is "calm, yet stern" when he is angry, and he prefers to talk things out as opposed to physical discipline.

Now, as fun as it would be for Michael to be this extremely cold, two-faced perfectionist that tormented Mammon during his younger days in the Celestial Realm, bringing this moral dilemma about how angels are not always the "pure and virtuous" beings we all see them as, I'm sad to say that that's not what we got here (rip fanfic writers).

But really, game Michael is far different than the absolute bastard people write him as. And that in and of itself, intrigues me.

So how did Michael treat Mammon during their time together?

Now, seeing as Michael has a tendency to thrust work onto other people, you would think that would serve as an aspect as to why Mammon was removed from him. But I don't think that was the case.

Think about it, despite how he might complain, Mammon DOES enjoy working. Whether that be physically: finding jobs to pay off his debt, to help someone, or to buy MC something as a gift, or mentally: keeping tabs on his family's emotional states; Mammon can and will get stuff done when he puts his mind to it.

And Mammon most definitely will learn and help all that he can when it comes to the people closest to him, so what was the issue?

Well, according to Mammon himself:

Not exactly the most respectful image Michael nor Raphael had of Mammon, right?

I'm sure that we all can picture Mammon as a rambunctious little tyke who the elder angels had trouble "controlling."

With that in mind, Michael most likely didn't have much faith in Mammon's ability to help him either. As a brother, nor a protégé.

So I'm willing to bet that Michael wouldn't let Mammon do much, or try to distract him with menial tasks that Mammon knew were not important.

Imagine how insulting that would be for Mammon. The guy who pushes work on other people, won't trust you with helping him out. Willingly. Ouch...

This would only spur Mammon on even further to misbehave and get into trouble, possibly for attention.

Which is an interesting contrast to Lucifer.

Because despite how reckless and irresponsible Mammon admittedly is, Lucifer trusts him the most out of all of their brothers to help him.

Yes, Lucifer is the guy who insists on doing everything by himself most of the time, but even he can't do everything.

And I think that was a part of why Mammon accepted Lucifer instead of Michael, aside from admiration that is: Trust.

As Mammon said, Lucifer saw the potential in Mammon, brought him up to be one of the greatest warriors and/or angels in the ENTIRE Celestial Realm. So much so, that Mammon even became Lucifer's official assistant.

That, and the fact that Mammon witnessed Michael push most of his responsibilities onto other people, would draw Mammon towards the ever-reliant Lucifer.

Lucifer inspired and trusted Mammon far more than Michael ever could. Michael only saw him as a troublemaker, and Mammon recognizes and appreciates Lucifer for seeing that there was more to him than that.

Now, as for Mammon's feelings about Michael, I don't believe that Mammon holds any ill-will towards him, but he's not exactly thrilled about talking about him either.

When Michael is brought up by either Luke or MC, Mammon becomes slightly uncomfortable. I mean, who can blame him?

As much as the idea of Michael being an all around bad guy is very far-fetched, I can imagine Michael hurting Mammon in a few ways. It wouldn't be on purpose, but it would add a bit more motivation for Mammon to favor Lucifer over Michael.

Aside from Michael not trusting Mammon, either physically, emotionally, or both, I can imagine a scenario in which Mammon had overheard his then-older brother venting to Raphael or Lucifer about him.

We all know how emotional Mammon can get, and I'm sure his younger, angelic self was no exception.

Can you imagine how devastating that would be for a young child to hear their older brother complain to his friends about him? That would be soul crushing!

This would play into the two-faced concept of Michael that the fans are attached to. Sure, Michael can be a fairly good person, but he IS the type to bad mouth the people he doesn't like or has problems with, in private.

This in contrast to Lucifer, Mammon, and quite frankly, all of the brothers, who are very blunt and upfront about how they feel about someone.

Thus, would end Mammon's ability to rely on Michael and their brotherhood.

HOWEVER! That doesn't mean that Michael doesn't still care about Mammon!

Luke has mentioned to MC before that Michael does, in fact, miss Mammon, Lucifer, and the others. To the point where he has collected all of their past belongings, including but not limited to, Lucifer's ring.

Once again, a topic for another day, but Michael's feelings over what happened could prove to be interesting.

Simeon himself reminisces over losing his family, and Michael has proven to be the same in his own way.

The situation over Lilith's ordered execution and the battles that followed suit was conflicting on both sides.

Michael, Simeon, Raphael, and the other angels may have won the war, but they lost a lot.

But I do remain adamant that Michael and Raphael overcompensate that guilt by establishing to the angels at the time that the rules are the rules. And by winning the war, it was seen as their proof that violating those rules would have dire consequences.

Which could play into yet another reason Mammon didn't get along with Michael at the time: Michael could never see the bigger picture.

Michael never fought for anything other than the order for the Celestial Realm. Yes, Lucifer was similar in that regard, but he would never turn his back on something he believed was wrong or right. Especially for family.

You could do so much with these ideas! The stories, character development, and histories are endless!

Sadly though, I'm not confident that the writers of Obey Me would give Mammon the space to talk about his experience with Michael or his younger years as an angel anytime soon. But I guess we'll just have to see about Michael when he gets here, won't we?

Author's Note: Hopefully, I did a decent job at explaining my thoughts here! If I add any more details to this, don't be surprised. As you can see, I was very passionate about this topic.

I do wonder what Michael will look and act like in the game. I know that he's probably going to be a love interest, but I honestly hope he isn't. I know Obey Me is an otome game, but we can at least have a few characters that aren't romancable.

Reading fanfics about Mammon and Michael is really interesting! Almost all of them paint Michael as this abusive authority figure to Mammon, and how this abuse seems to continue into present-day with Lucifer and all of his over the top punishments. Again, I've only scratched the surface on this topic. Many people have different views on Michael already, and we haven't even physically met the guy! Sorry Michael! :(

Nightbringer Theories & Spoilers!

I have a theory, that Simeon and Luke, or just Simeon are actually the ones we know from our present timeline.

If you have Solomon on the Home Screen, he makes a comment wondering why Simeon is in the Devildom and why Luke came along. Meaning he’s acting differently than expected.

This nods at is something I had been under the impression of, that Luke’s first time in the Devildom was for the RAD exchange in the OG game. Now, I’ve been replaying all the lessons, and I have to say they do seemingly already have the nickname of Chihuahua for him. The dialogue we get in NB where they decide to call him that doesn’t happening in the OG, so it is possible that this is actually Luke from the past… but Simeon, we know he can lie and deceive based on his actions in the OG game..

So, I think it’s a high possibility that this is present/our Simeon. The NB scene between him and Sol is raising alarms for this. There is also a comment Simeon makes to Solomon, something about knowing what he’s doing (aka monopolizing our time because he can now), which only further makes me believe this is our Simeon.

However if it is our Simeon, and not our Luke, why did he bring him? To maybe help give us reassurance from the sidelines? I doubt this for many reasons, primarily it’s just not feasible. However, if Simeon was going to the past, I know damn well that Luke would demand to join him.

One other thing to note though, I know Luke and Barbs got friendly pretty quickly in the OG, bonding over the love of baking, but it felt too quick in NB. I would believe if Luke was pretending to be like he was before, to then slip up in wanting to spend time with his favourite demon.

As much as Luke denies it, he is still a child and might need another person on his side to help him through this journey he’s taken with Simeon though time.

Plus if you think about it, both Simeon and Luke have become MC’s guardian angels. Would our guardian Angels truly leave us in the past without coming to our aid or to at least keep watch over us?

As for Barbs I’m like 99.999% sure he knows and is acting dumb. It would check out too, that if Barbs is acting like he doesn’t know and allowed the angels to come back in time, that he’d have them do the same. Obviously there’s the whole preserving the timeline thing to keep in mind, but he knows something much bigger and is staying silent because he knows the role that we will play. He can’t interfere with that.

Either because he is nightbringer himself OR, he works with/for/owes a debt to nightbringer.

But who is nightbringer?

I’m thinking either an upper Angel or a past demon King or something else.

Nightbringer asked if we knew the brothers in the unregistered text. Barbs would know if we know them if it were Barbs pulling us to the past. I just can’t imagine he would have restrained himself from looking into who we are, even just a bit, if he was a barb we never met? If he was being commanded to bring us back in time, he would need to know some basic info about us to feel okay with such a demand.

Which makes me ask a genuine question…

We know some demons are created from fallen angels, but what of the first demons?? Who created them? Because I’m also toying with the idea that nightbringer is the father of the original demons (and Barbs was the first demon he made).

Another thing about Barbs, it highly possibly with his powers, he has been waiting for MC to grow powerful enough to be brought to the past. After he and Diavolo discovered who MC is in S1, he must have seen this coming. He’s been watching, waiting, for our growth in order to come to this pivotal point in the past for some grand purpose.

Solomons involvement with the grand plan Nightbringer has eludes me but since he has a pact with Barbs I think it’s somehow related.

My final note that I haven’t seen anyone explicitly acknowledge yet, is the detail that the three brothers we first made pacts with, the ones we have had the longest and possibly strongest connection to, are the ones that come to our aid and believe us when Lucifer is hunting us down in L11.

Mammon was sad enough when MC decided to go to the human world with Simeon and Luke. But apparently, the brothers also have to kick him while he's down and throw various insults and accusations at him. He defends himself the best he can. Some of the accusations were able to be shut down, but they just didn't care. This has happened so many times to the point he was going to move out, if it were for him forgetting his damn DDD charger. He narrows his eyes at Lucifer, who didn't do shit to try and stop it. Not like he ever did unless it inconvenienced him. "Well, what do you have to say for yourself?" Lucifer asks once the accusations and yelling stops. "Now you let me defend myself?" Mammon snaps back. "It's not like that's going to make a difference." What threw the brothers off was that he appeared oddly calm, they were expecting him to make a big scene and threaten to run away before storming off. But he just stood there, locking eyes with Lucifer in particular. Mammon walks over to Lucifer, leaving a pause before... SMACK! The second eldest slaps Lucifer right square in the face, which causes some wide eyes and gasps. "That is what I have to say to you and your arrogant ass." With that, Mammon leaves. ---- Mammon has taken residence in Purgatory Hall after contacting Diavolo about this. He was to stay in a separate hall and if Simeon, Solomon and Luke are okay with it, he can stay in their guest room. Mammon also contacted MC, who told him that their trip was almost done and they would stay with the second eldest once they got back. That sounded good to Mammon, and he was happy they were there once they got back. Mammon has basically dragged MC onto the couch for cuddles and the human combs through his hair as he tells them what happened. "So you slapped Lucifer?" "...Yea.." "Well, let's just hope he smartens up after that" Mammon feels a kiss on his forehead before drifting off to sleep.

Fandom: Obey Me

“Why are you crying, Luke?” Barbatos smiles gently.

Luke sniffles as tears run down his face. He knew the day had to come eventually, he just wasn’t ready for it.

The time he spent at Devildom was amazing. He isn’t going to lie now. He feels sadness in having to leave Devildom, and having to leave all the friends he made (despite most of them being demons). He misses the Celestial Realm, truly, but he cannot bear to leave the place that taught him so much.

“Bar…Barbatos,” Luke hiccups before downright sobbing. Simeon immediately lets out a small chuckle as Barbatos’ eyes soften. The demon lets out a soft laugh himself, and kneels down in front of the young angel.

“Come now, there isn’t a need to cry, wipe those tears away. Angels like you shouldn’t be weeping.”

Barbatos opened his arms in invitation, and Luke didn’t even hesitate before barrelling his smaller self into him. The angel hid his face in the butler’s neck as he continues to cry. Barbatos only cradles his head, as if he were the most precious gem in the world. Simeon looks at them with fond eyes, all while Raphael is observing them coolly. You could hear some sniffles coming from Diavolo and Asmodeus, and although he wouldn’t admit it, some from Mammon too.

“I don’t want to go back,” Luke cried, voice muffled. Simeon and Raphael both widened their eyes and looked at each other. Barbatos hums.

“Why is that so, Luke?”

“I’ll miss you. I’ve never had to miss anyone. It’ll probably take centuries for me to meet you all again, what would I do then?”

Barbatos laughs and Luke pulls away to pout at him. It’s cute, Barbatos melts a little inside. The “you all” didn’t go unnoticed by any of them.

“You will always be welcome in Devildom, Luke.”

The angel nods before giving him a horrified look, and tries to secretly glance at the brothers before looking back at him.

“I don’t mean it in that way, Luke. Although, we’ll welcome you all the same,” Barbatos teases. “I’m joking. You’re always allowed to visit. Just tell Michael, and I’m sure he’ll bring you here. We can even exchange letters, your messenger birds do not only stop at the human realm, after all.”

“Really?” Luke looks at him with the most hopeful eyes, and his heart aches because of it. It is an unnatural feeling. The last he felt like this was when Diavolo was but a child asking for more stories and begging him to stay. He wishes for more of this feeling. This feeling of ache, it is painful in the way he craves more. He yearns to please that small and hopeful heart.

He also yearns for him to stay. He has never wished to indulge in his desires more than he does now. He has never cared for someone as much as he does for the angel. The way he cares for Luke is special, and not dissimilar to how he cares for Diavolo. But his care for Luke is still different from the young master. It is unexplainable.

He yearns to take care of Luke. To protect the small angel from harm’s way.

“Really. Ask Simeon, if you want confirmation,” Barbatos says.

Luke immediately turns those puppy eyes to Simeon and Raphael, and the former nods with a poorly hidden smile. Luke gasped happily and runs to hug Barbatos again before going to the other demons. He gives them each a gift, receiving pats on the head, some words of affection and a hug or two (by Beelzebub and Diavolo). He then goes to give something to Thirteen, who also gives him a pat on the head, and rushes to give Solomon a tight hug. The wizard chuckles fondly and returns it.

None of them question the blessings given to them by Luke. It was probably unintentional.

After confirming that he gave everyone what he had prepared, he took his side between Simeon and Raphael to wait for the portal that will bring them back to the Celestial Realm.

“Goodbye, Luke. We’ll miss you,” Lucifer calls out as the portal opens. Luke stares at Lucifer in shock, and the demon gives him a small smirk while waving. Luke huffs before adjusting his outfit. Raphael walks into the portal first. Simeon looks at Luke, who bites his lips before turning to Barbatos.

“Don’t forget to send me a letter! I’ll be waiting!” he says, crossing his arms.

“I won’t forget. You have to remember one thing as well.”

“What is it?”

“When you come back, don’t be a stranger, okay?” Barbatos’ voice comes out a bit wobbly, and Luke smiles happily.

“Okay! I promise!”

Barbatos nods, giving Luke one last smile before the younger waves at everyone, and enters the portal. He and Simeon share one last glance, a soft and tender one, before the angel enters the portal.

Barbatos lets out a sigh. His heart now feels empty.

OH MY GOD, FINALLY FINISHED THIS! It took me two hours, and my hands are freezing because of the a/c. Now, I shall go back to my slumber and be happy that I wrote fluff. Hope you all enjoyed! Thank you for reading <3
