Made the mistake of looking up haunted places in Odense and came across nightmare fuel.
Tumblr media
Skt Knud’s church is haunted by Denmark’s 15th king on record, Erik Lam. The thing that makes him extra creepy is that he doesn’t haunt the church like a normal person by walking around on the floor. If you want to catch a glimpse of him you have to look up. According to sightings he climbs along the ceiling during the darkest hours of the night. The explanation people came up with is that after he chose to become a monk during his last year alive he probably felt a bit cooped up and is overly energetic to this day. No thank you!

Another unnecessarily creepy part of Odense can be found in one of the towers of Egeskov Castle where they keep this.
Tumblr media
It’s a statue made of wood that has been laid on an old pillow. Nobody knows who put it there or why, just that you’re not supposed to move it. The story goes that it is holding the tower up and if you remove it the tower will crumble on Christmas Eve. One owner once rented it out to a museum but asked to have it back after 14 days because the tower started making weird creaking noises. No. Just no.

The city is supposedly full of white ladies and what not, but these two creeped me out more than the rest. Please share unusual paranormal stuff from your part of the world.

🔥 for food??
this probably isn't that much of an unpopular opinion (and i KNOW i have something truly unpopular, i just can't for the life of me remember what it is) but those instagram tiktok etc videos where the food is...loaded? with vast amounts of cheese and bacon and everything else even vaguely savoury the cook thought might taste good just look thoroughly unpalatable. the same goes for the desserts that have everything under the sun in them. like i get it's most likely for the hashtag views but it looks like it would make me feel nauseous
send me a “ 🔥 “ for an unpopular opinion.

Eiler Rasmussen Eilersen (March 1, 1827 - 1912) was a Danish painter who studied at the Royal Academy in the late 1840s and early 1850s, with a stint in the First Schleswig War in between. He went on to be a very popular, but somewhat conservative landscape painter.
