Taylor wore three different dresses for the surprise songs in Melbourne. Bear with me here because I'm about to make some tenuous connections..

Night one: yellow (gold) dress for Red and You're Losing Me

Night two: red(ish) dress for Getaway Car/august/The Other Side of the Door and this is me trying

Night three: blue dress for Come Back... Be Here/Daylight and Teardrops on My Guitar

Notice that she plays Red on N1, and then the following two nights have dresses corresponding to the colours in the chorus: "loving him was red" and "losing him was blue". So what about the gold dress? Well, she plays Daylight on N3, and she "once believed love would be burning red, but it's golden".

People have already pointed out the connections between all the surprise songs, so who knows, it might not be a coincidence that the dresses link all three nights together as well...

I would be so curious to know people’s response to the dragon prince, specifically lgbtqia peeps. because I LOVED this show’s representation, and I would love to know people’s experience of there being canon queer characters, even when some of those canon queer characters do die. because to me it never felt like queer baiting--it felt like true rep? because there were canon queer characters that didn’t die. but also because it felt like a beautiful and true representation of grief, of queer grief specifically, and I think that’s a huge chunk of what’s missing in modern day media? like I get so sick of these huge dramatic coming out stories. not that they aren’t valid or relatable for people, but where’s my cheesy hallmark movie about two lesbians meeting over the holidays in a small town, one with major type a energy, and one with major dumbass energy? where’s me being able to watch them slowly fall in love as all of their friends groan in the background and make bets on how long it’ll take for them to figure it out, all while pushing them together? and part of whole representation is the depiction of loss, of grief, of finding a way to live again without your partner by your side.
