If he was able to keep a camera on him at all times, Etho would have taken thousands of photos of the male that stood in the distance.

With the way that the sun shined an outline around Joel's being, although the smile he wore shined far brighter. His smile was a radiance that nothing could compete. A charm that unparalleled any universe possible.

The smile that sparkled like billions of stars made him tempt to focus his stare onto only one certain detail of Joel, but his heart dives into confusing feelings that sends his mind into an array of dreamful colours and every time, Etho immediately looks away, whether Joel had noticed the sense of his glances or not.

His mind would be a flurry of cherry blossoms. Pink petals drifting in the gentle breezy touch of spring — the warmth bloomed in his chest like the endless hours of summer. His emotions never failed to dive into the fall into the leaves of autumn.

The piles of yellow, red, and orange - each individual leaf held a memory of love and pain between Etho and Joel.

Of cold promises being made, like snow being rolled into a massive ball. Each white speck was a word spoken in between one another.

It was as though no matter where Etho went, his mind would remind him of the brilliant primary hours about Joel. He could never take his eyes off the male with the kelly green streak. Whether it was in dreams or during reality, the one with the umber eyes always showed different angles of his personality that Etho could never stop pointing about to himself.

And with those flurry of thoughts, the petals that stayed bright and full of life whenever Joel was nearby for whatever occasion or meaning, Etho wished he knew how to stop prying from the window of wanted needs and to go up to Joel and ask him to be the finder of his heart.

Ahhhh the Winnie the pooh ride looks so cute and fun, and the pooh bear sounds the cutest, I have an Eeyore that stays on my bed.

I also love strawberry shortcake, I like the 2003/4 era of it. Literally last week I was telling my friend how for my next birthday I expect is all to dress like one of the characters lol. I plan to crochet the hats.

Same, I remember the excitement I'd get when we reached a new transformations and fairy form. I deff will send pics when I do floras, I'm not sure which transformation I'll do yet though.

Oof writers block is a bummer, I used to write a bit but just take your time. What do you do for work?. I'm currently on my break lol I work at a bakery.

Would you mind if I ask about your thoughts on Takako Uro or Yorozu (either one) for the ask game?

Since Uro jumped on my list of faves since I recently reread her chapters, I'm gonna answer for her.

My first impression: "Is she... naked? That's actually a creative way to cover the bits!"

My impression now: As I said, Uro became one of my favorites of JJK. She's just such a cool character and I would like a spinoff story of her history. She was a leader of the Sun, Moon and Stars Squad! I would have loved to see how that went!!

Favorite thing about that character: She's just a great character to me, overall. Her design definitely captured my attention, but oh my gosh, that technique? It is so damn cool probably my favorite one in the whole series.

Least favorite thing: Oh my gosh, I hated she just blasted away by Ryu out of the fight and that was the end of her part of it. And then Ryu and Yuta got to sit down and have this chat while Uro was somewhere laying on the ground, probably unconscious, bleeding out and missing an arm because Rika fucking ate it! Glad she was alive after that though. She was smart enough in 216 to stay put because she felt Sukuna's presence in Sendai. Meanwhile, Ryu decides to challenge him... then look what happened! Uro would survive a horror movie, Ryu would probably be the first to go.

Favorite line/scene: Her response to Yuta will always be glorious to me. "The only ones who can say such things are the people who already made a name for themselves!" All what Uro had done in her first life was cater to a clan that didn't even allow her to have a name. And when she got one? When she got a name from someone she thought she could trust? She was used as a scapegoat. It was just so unfair!!

Favorite interaction that character has with another: She only has interacted with Ryu and Yuta and honestly, I liked those interactions but more so because Uro is just more entertaining during that whole fight. She was not afraid to say what she wanted and I love her for that!

A character that I wish that character would interact with more: I wrote a post about this and I it got to the point I had to write my fic, The Pink Sky and Cherry Blossoms. I wished for her and Yuji to have met. I just feel like they could have gotten along so well and I feel like Yuji would get where she's coming from.

Another character from another fandom that reminds me of that character: Mina Ashido from My Hero Academia. In terms of design, they both have pink hair and eyes with black sclera. I also find it funny they're related to space in some way. Uro manipulates it and Ashido is alien themed.

A song that reminds of that character: I have been continuously listening to Cobra by Megan Thee Stallion and every I do, I think of Uro. Also Rain by Coco Jones. That song is so beautiful and I just think that song captivates who Uro is.

A headcanon about that character: We didn't get to see what Uro's DE looks like, bit I imagine it would look like a sky with blues, pinks and oranges with hints of stars here and there. I think a sky would be fitting for her. Not only because of her technique being Sky Manipulation, but also she doesn't want to be tied down to anything. She wants to be free and the sky is an endless space she cab soar through like a bird.

An unpopular opinion about that character: Personally, I feel like she should have gotten to return at least in the fight against Sukuna. I said this is a recent post, but it just felt wrong to me that Yuta used one of her moves in the recent (249) chapter. I get his technique is copying and it was only for a second, but given how Uro feels about him and we really didn't get any closure for her character like that... it just felt unfair.

Fave perfume/cologne/body spray: okay so I am not an olfactory aficionado like you, Danny! 😭 I have a very cheap and cheerful scent I have used for years and never thought to reconsider the habit as it smells fine! 🙈 It has something like orange blossom, apple notes, woody and amber notes. A bit of peach or something? Idek. I like it and other people seem to like it but clearly we are all AMATEURS.

Help me though! I am going shopping in London next week as I need to source a few crucial bits and I was thinking about going perfume shopping as well. How on Earth do I choose a more elevated scent?!

I seem to be drawn to things that smell orange or green - or a combo of the two! Things I like the smell of: orange-y smells, orange blossom, citrus, peach, apple, woody smells, amber smells, lime, pine, sage, basil, green smells. (I don’t like anything too floral or sweet, or anything like super spicy or musky.) Can I smell like breaking an orange open with my thumbs on an autumn stroll through a fresh rainy pine forest and then warming up by the fire after in a cosy cabin with some gently spiced tea? Is that possible, Danny? IS IT?! 😭😝

do you have any fic recs for the mentalist?

I told you I’d post some for you tonight and here they are!! Unfortunately I did a lot of reading while I was still obstinately REFUSING to make another ffnet account, so I didn’t save like a good 90% of what I read, some of which was excellent. But here are some of the ones I did +fav or whatever they call it there. No particular genre since your ask was open ended, but, well-

(sorry in advance - these are mostly ffnet links but they’re worth braving that site I swear)

((also this is definitely a non-exhaustive list. there’s some real talent in this fandom))

Consummate Connection Confrontation - these are three separate fics in that order by the absolutely inimitable @hardlyloquatious. Literally everything they’ve written is amazing. I’ve completely exposed myself because my first rec is sort of. uh, lightly 18+. But I had to put this author at the top of my list because I love them so much. The way Jane talks in Consummate has literally kept me awake more than once. It’s honestly more sweet and touching than anything but it’s definitely uh. not something your boss should catch you with I guess.

Long Lost, Long Last - same author. This was written and posted before My Blue Heaven aired, but it has the same vibe as that episode, except deliciously drawn out. It starts off with Jane being his kinda silly self and deciding he wants to try his hand at letter writing, so he writes little notes for the whole team. Lisbon is the only one who gives him a note back, and they take to leaving each other lil notes - until RJ is killed and Jane disappears to do some soul searching. This fic is so... beautiful and I think about it with some frequency. “Consummate” is hot but Long Lost Long Last is why HL is my fave TM author.

Practice - okay one last one from this author. This one isn’t like, groundbreaking, but it’s just the SWEETEST look at how much Jane tries after they get together. I’m a sucker for Jane being sweet. Clearly, since that’s why Consummate is at the top of this list.

Blood Red Moon - the author is 221b Baker Street. Their fics are a LOT more heavy. But they’re so, so good. Their mastery of language is incredible and their fics read like professionally written books - and they do Jane/Lisbon banter incredibly well. Some of the imagery they use has genuinely stuck with me. Also see Sacraments in Scarlet (Jane pretends to be a priest), Arsenic and Red Lace (murder at an assisted care facility and Jane being the cheery and extremely sad bastard that he is), Jonathon Redding (a take on Red John that is deeply clever), a Road lEss traveleD (this is. unsettling. it’s extremely good but save it for the last from this author, wait until you love them first. The payoff for not-as-it-seems comes towards the end but it really is worth waiting for).

Blood Wind - by Gone2Far speaking of unsettling. THIS ONE. God this fic is so good. Spooky as fuck in a way that’s a little X-Filesy and incredibly well written. I want to live very far from this fic while at the same time wrapping myself in its words so I can borrow a crumb of talent.

In Case series - @halfagonyandhope (yay, they’re on tumblr). This rec list isn’t necessarily in any sort of order because after HL, halfagonyandhope is second fave author. This particular series is SO ROMANTIC and LOVELY and I kinda wanna cry kinda wanna read it again and again. My favorite one in the series is Ya’aburnee but you have to read the ones preceding it to make any sort of sense. Also now that I’m looking at all of these again I’m realizing that apparently the second installment stuck with me more than I expected because I wrote more than 10k words of something that has a vaguely similar theme (which I will post later). 

Qumran and Reset - by J. Roddam. This author only ever seems to have written these two but they’re fucking EXQUISITE. I generally avoid AUs in this fandom because the concept of erasing Jane’s past does NOT sit right with me but Reset is one of the only exceptions I’ve made. It has soulmate vibes without being like, a tumblr soulmate story. Both of them are living SUCH different lives than their canon counterparts but somehow it actually works and it’s beautiful. Qumran is similarly without peer.

Pretending, I: Witness - @inkstainedfingers97. I wouldn’t even know where to start but I love every single thing about this fic - and it’s recently been completed! I was lucky enough to get to binge read a majority of it but waiting for updates was also genuinely thrilling too. Fake/Real Married for WITSEC reasons, real love for obvious reasons. Also the Lorelei dynamic is way more intense than on the show in a way that’s at once very uncomfortable and very believable.

27 Minutes - by Idan. Okay. Okay so this author commented on one of my fics and I almost lost it because I really love theirs. I was smiling for like an hour when I saw the notification from them!! 27 Min is my favorite one but In The Cards is widely rec’d by others for very good reason, it’s so good. The Pretender is also excellent, written based on promos of Orange Blossom Ice Cream and so a bit AU from there.

Eighteen Hours - I would definitely be remiss if I didn’t mention @leafenclaw (and actually, I was remiss because I realized while making this post that theirs were some of those early fics I read that I never +fave etc, so ty for the ask so I can do it now, anon). Leafenclaw writes SO well and I have an extra soft spot for them because they pointed me in the direction of a lot of fics and were one of the first ppl I ever spoke with in this fandom since luckily they’re on tumblr too. Also Kindred (note - both of these are still WIP but being updated/worked on!) Chasing Storms is complete, incredible, angsty, beautiful. Also I kind of want to borrow the idea of writing one story around a set of many prompts like this. I don’t actually think I’ve ever seen anyone else do that?

The Long Way Back - by LouiseKurylo I consider them sort of a friend because they’ve been SO supportive while I was writing  Saving Grace but even before that with a new suit, another pair of socks, and a terrible couch. And I’ve seen them supporting everybody else too - they’re just SO NICE. Their fics are also very interesting, and they sort of bring Jane and Lisbon much more into the real world. There’s more real life problems to go hand in hand with mentalist plot type problems, which makes for very interesting reading. Fischer in this particular fic is FASCINATING. Also, a hot tip @leafenclaw shared with me: Louise’s faves list has 500 stories in it and pretty much everything in there is worth reading.

Last but OBVIOUSLY not least I wanna mention some of the very cute and talented and actively posting people here on tumblr in our little mentalist squad of approximately 12 people lmao. You probably already know @gracevanpelt aka LilyThistle’s Big Blue, Red Road, Breathe, and Collusion. I have an especially soft spot for Breathe actually even though it’s the least plotty of the lot. I just think it works so perfectly on its own, as is, like a quiet little interlude. No muss no fuss as Jane would say - and I love it a lot. @asambergs aka cmbing’s how glad i am that you exist is actually the FIRST piece of Mentalist fic I ever read, and then I was pulled down this slippery slope to end up posting this at 11:52 pm on a Thursday night. And I’m not about to forget @pjane aka epaynter whose words are so beautifully atmospheric and who writes the softest Jane (I love Soft Jane and will fight anyone who disagrees about it!!)

I’m really not sure what order this in at all, but here are a few that I can think of! (And I guess Book 3 demo spoilers?) 

Love Like You- I suppose this an obvious choice, haha! This is the longest thing I’ve ever done, and I am so happy with how it turned out. Still have no idea how a short drabble turned into such a long series, but I’m cool with it! :D

Sanja’s Prophecies- To the Detective- this is a small series kind of based on the idea of what the prophecies may have looked like to my detectives if they got them instead of the LI (Yes, I know this breaks a whole bunch of the lore, go with me on this haha!) Obviously, I have no idea where the routes are going, but it was fun to imagine!

In Dreams- This was from the microfic prompts, and while it is just around 300 words, I love it so much. Felix is just so much fun to write, and this prompt works so so well

Haley’s Bakery- More Thea and Felix fic (as what a lot of this list will probably consist of haha!) It is more Tina and Thea friendship, but it really touches on what Thea feels at the current (beginning of Book 3) so that was interesting to delve into. And one day, I will write the outing of the three of them haha!

Regret- (Trying to have something not related to Thea and Felix haha!) Well, this is one of the angsty things I have ever written, and it kind of follows Mason’s feelings on after what happens at Haley’s. Mason is kind of a hard one to write for me, but I’m actually okay with how this one turned out in the end!

Give Me Something- This is actually something I did for livdlyinlove’s detective Kira Eveli. The prompt was “I can’t keep kissing strangers and pretending their you”, so yeah, that kind of gives you the picture of what it is about haha! And when I got it, it just did not fit Natasha (my main A detective), way too stoic and emotionally repressed for that, and certainly not Thea (she does not deal with her feelings that way at all, nor who would say anything like that to intently hurt someone) So, I borrowed a detective, and it worked so so much better

Memories- This is something I did back during the 31 Days of Wayhaven, and even though it is kind of shaky to be now, but there is a lot that I really like about it. Kind of touches Nate’s feelings of vampirism and the like to the best of my ability (As good as I could do with the big blanks as far as backstory goes) And the whole thing with Pearl in it, surprisingly really cute even with it being angst filled haha!

Orange Blossoms and Orange Blossoms (Felix’s POV) - Putting these together because they kinda are the same fic, just with different POVs. Of all of my older fic, these are probably my favorites, and it is just a really sweet scene with Felix and Thea. (First look at Thea’s insecurities, and with my WIP series now, woah (That goes in even harder) You guys aren’t ready (and neither am I))

And honorable mention to my first ever TWC fic, which I’ll link here. I really hate it now, and there is so much I would do differently with it, but it is nice to see just how far my writing has come since the beginning. I’ve never wrote fic before Wayhaven, so even if I don’t like it much now, it’s special to me regardless. :)

i truly don’t know, criss said fun. and i see it and sterre said 5sos and i see it too but also think about this: what if he started his own band with his own sound with his touring members? idk that would be cool or maybe i’m just avoiding the question because i don’t have anything smart to say oh wait no maybe pre-2015 imagine dragons! i like their vibes and i feel like some of it louis would like? not all of it though!

idk maybe a flower? like gardenia or orange blossom... actually he most probably does not smell like this but these scents make me feel warm inside like louis does, that’s why i associated them to him

there isn’t really anywhere traditional around here except for the breakfast places... idk i think i’d take him to my favorite ice cream place which is like very far from where i live but they have the best ice cream ever! and next to that place there is a lovely hiking trail

probably not... i was going to before he rescheduled but not it’s during my exam period and it’s way too far for me to go, and all the places i could drive to are also all schedule during my exam period

Hmm kaka 1 year anniv lang namin nung second to the last ex ko, tapos after 6 months we broke up din.

Most recent ex ko hahaha. Single ako ngayon so walang magagalit sa sagot ko. And I guess di pa din ako nakaka-get over.

5. How do you imagine a perfect life?

Being able to travel without worrying about the expenses.. And when I'm not traveling - living in a house by the beach, morning coffee, evening tea, books, and endless conversations with the person I love.

Arrrggggh I love both pero dahil I'm trying to watch my calories, coffee na lang. Brewed coffee kami sa bahay.

Starbucks forevs though soy latte lang naman lagi inoorder ko.

mostly OPM na medyo old school by today's standards like Eraserheads, Rivermaya circa Bamboo and then Rico Blanco, Sugarfree, Parokya, Silent Sanctuary, Orange and Lemons mga ganun. Pero I also listen to Coldplay, Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift mga ganun. Basta maganda pakinggan!

Week 15/53: April 6th - April 12th 2020 | Spring in Vancouver 🌸

LOL broke quarantine this week because I had to go to clinic to pick up my pay check and t4... I was already out anyway so I went to take photos with cherry blossoms with DSLR afterwards..... oops (please don’t yell at me). Graveley St. is really pretty for cherry blossoms!! The flowers are so big and fluffy~ There were actually a lot of people taking pictures there lol had to avoid at all cost. A lot of the residents put up signs in front of their houses telling people to stay home HSJFHKFS obviously none of us reading that actually stayed home....... sobs. Anyway it was pretty hard to find a good spot to take photos and avoid people but we managed to find a corner that no one wanted (it was a nice corner though because all of my faves were taken there). Thank you bb for accompanying me all the way to Burnaby and taking the pictures, they turned out so well !!!! I LOVE MY PHOTOGRAPHER GF LMAO ^_^ <3 

Tried Wushiland (50岚 in Taiwan!!!! AKA 一点点 in China) after taking photos and got their orange yakult... I can barely taste the yakult LOL. But their pearls were really good!!! It’s actually really different from the 一点点 bubbles. Ended the day by buying jjapaguri ingredients. I made it right after I went home and it was A LOT of noodle!!!!! I was dealing with hecka indigestion afterwards...... it’s yum though but was it worth more than fire noodles???? Nah. LMFAO TOO EXPENSIVE LOL. Instant regret should have bought fire noodles T^T !! 

Spent the next 3 days going to work and hating my life x_x so tiring god....... bubble tea business is literally booming this week, I’m really out here selling 90-100 cups by myself in like 6-7 hours...... TOO MUCH TOO BUSY I DIED!!!!! I was so tired jshfdjksag it’s so not worth it to be this tired for so little reward but gotta make that coin :’( I just want my normal job back and make more coin and be less tired you know???? :-(

Minecraft Design Attempts

So, I've grown fond of building/designing in Minecraft. Here are a few 5x5 designs perhaps insertable into a solid floor periodically. I'm looking for comment and criticism, and am aware that some are weaker than others. That said, have at it!

"Acacia Jazz"

Tried using reds at first, but found few good blocks so I tried oranges and browns

"Beekeeper Buzz"

I thought the Shroomlights went with the combs well.

"Heavy Industry"

My personal fave, it includes the new Basalt Block and campfires for smoke effect.

"Cherry Blossom Misdirection"

IMO, the weakest design. I may use the core of Crimson stripped and Redstone again though. The "Cherry Blossoms" are pink concrete powder btw; hope that inspires someone!

"Chill Pill"

An icy center with the new Warped Stripped Log and Lapis. Inspired by prismarine & co

"Fairy Spring"

Dead Fire coral and a waterlogged stair trick make a mythic fairy spring, while mycelium particles provide ambience. Lacks a light source, unfortunately.

What inspired this, one of my trading halls. The back waterfalls utilize the waterlogged stair trick as well.
