Something I see a lot with orchid mantis OCs and wanted to clear up:
If you see an orchid mantis that's pinkish with the abdomen flipped up like this, that's a juvenile! Anywhere from a baby to a teenager, still not capable of mating.
But if you see a white orchid mantis with wings (which keep the abdomen from flipping up), that's an adult! Only adult insects ever have wings, and with very few exceptions, they almost always have them. No wings, not an adult mantis!

The females are big, but the males are very tiny!
When they first hatch, orchid mantises look like ants!!
