are there any orthotists in this corner of the internet? If yes and you're willing I'd love to ask you a few questions relating to a character I'm working on.
He got injured and will need mobility aids. I've already looked into various orthotics myself but it seems quite a few could work and I'm lacking the knowledge to know for certain which would be his best choice.
Day 1 of orthopaedics. Did a two hour forest session with my virtual study group @studystream. Also started playing this new video game that got an amazing graphics and it is based on Indian mythology. Will see how the game turns out eventually.
My weakest subject is anatomy and that makes orthopaedics a bit tough for me. Might take a little longer for revising the subject but I hoping to complete the modules soon.
The x-rays of osteoarthritic human knees on the top row are entirely fake – a research team generated them using an artificially intelligent algorithm – while those on the bottom row are genuine. Or, wait, is it the other way around? The point is, it’s impossible to tell, even for medical experts. Why have scientists gone to the effort of creating fake X-rays, you might ask. Rest assured, there’s more to it than simply trying to fool orthopaedic doctors. Having access to large amounts of patient data can be extremely useful for developing diagnostic, classification, and educational tools, but sharing genuine medical data can be a highly bureaucratic process. The idea, then, is that if AI can generate fake data of such high quality as to be indistinguishable from real patient data, it could be used to help build valuable tools without the hassle of untangling all the red tape.

I am currently really struggling to make ends meet after having a major surgery to correct my hip dysplasia, if you have anything to spare please consider donating ❤️ I very rarely ask for help and I always pay it forward once I'm in a better position!
I will unfortunately not be cleared to go back to work for at least another month and I have a toddler to provide for still 😓 Recovery is slow and painful but it will hopefully correct some of my long term chronic pain issues!
Also included before and after pictures of the surgery for proof and just cause I think x-rays are super cool!
Rotator cuff tears is one of the most common causes of shoulder pain. A torn rotator cuff can also cause weakness of the shoulder.
Our shoulder joint is like a ball (the upper end of the humerus bone) and socket (glenoid). The ball is larger than the socket. The Rotator Cuff muscles are those muscles that surround the shoulder joint. There are four muscles, which combine to form a sheet of tendon and attach on to the upper end of the humerus bone.Their job is to provide the power to lift and rotate the arm and to make sure the ball is within the socket while moving the shoulder.
Neck and Back pain are debilitating diseases which decrease the work efficiency as well as hamper the quality of life in a person.
