hello- [i hope you are having a nice time existing]
i honestly cannot for the life of me think of a question for you so uhhhhh gimme ur favourite fable headcanon[s] you have.
i will eat them
please and thank u /nf /lh
Favorite hcs.. Hmmm this is probably a decently long post so...
Little rae would give little ic funky aura things if he found them to put in potions.
Also Ic and Rae (and isla) have a very specific whistle that was one little little icarus did and the rest of them picked up.
Little centross was the best at hide and seek.
Icarus's feathers will get everywhere. Fully convinced that currently there are some in Morningstar castle. How did they get there no clue.
Jamie knows all the gossip all the time. I mean, people tell their secrets to their pets all the time.
Jamie can understand Ic's birb whistles
Had he been given the chance to Centross would've made an amazing knight for either wolf's fam or the morningstars
The necklaces that soul gave isla came in a crimson wood box with an orchid on the top (totally not a cosplay prop I have)
Soul, Isla, and Alerion (and probably Vivienne) had a book club (read: probably a gossip group)
Had anyone gotten therapy, fewer people would've died
Ocie does the thing where you put only your eyes above water and creep towards people
Wolf is one of the people who runs the warmest (probably right behind Athena and Jamie)
Atlas has amazing emotional reading skills
Oscar reminds Len of little Athena
If given flowers, they will end up in Oscars mouth
Unblinking stare into wolf's eyes (gold prebby) [<- Oscar mostly but thena occasionally]
Connor the crusty white dog and Ulysses sound a lot alike
Oscar will bite those he gets bad vibes from (learned from his aunt chaos <3 encouraged by mother)
Aax enjoys ridiculous amounts of humidity
Caspian perpetually smells like pine needles
Ic will wrap people in their elytra when hugging
Ocue will grab peoples ankles when they're swimming to startle them
I made most of these up on the go for 20 minutes but it was fun and I do adore these.

Hate vs. Love: RWBY Edition
You know with all the recent RWBY love and hate; I thought I talk about the irony of everything.
I’m writer, was born a writer, even if people don’t understand, a writer can never turn that part of themselves off.
What I’m getting at is I want to talk about my experience with RWBY and how it changed my perspective on something that I judged for years.
To be honest, I’m a closet RWBY fan, no one knows that I like the show.
People see me and think that I just watch all the stuff considered “Weeb Shit”, and to tell you the truth, I don’t.
I watched so many things in my entire life to get a grasp on writing in all angles that they all sort of blurred together.
But let me tell you as a young eight-year-old, who could write, speak full proper sentences, and for some one that had no friends, RWBY was love.
I saw the show and thought to myself this was as good as it gets.
How I found the show for the first time was through a video about someone hating on RWBY coming it the worst thing in the world, and since I was a writer at eight years old, I thought that I would be the judge of that.
And so through YouTube I watched every episode for Volume 1 and fell in love.
My first favorite character had been Blake, she stood out like a sore thumb, and I just loved that she had grown so much.
(News Flash: VOLUME 9 BLAKE WAS PERFECT IN EVERY WAY AND HAD ALL THE RIGHT FLAWS!!!!)
But what made me a closet RWBY fan was the fact that everything I knew who had seen or heard of RWBY hated it, since I came from a poor family, I couldn’t ever get any of the merch or go to anything Roosterteeth related.
So like everything I liked, I shoved it into a closet and wished that I met people who liked the show, when I got a Tumblr account and saw that everyone had great and fair or unfair opinions on RWBY, I feel okay posting this.
But to tell you the truth, it just makes me sad that as a writer I still see things differently, and as the other volumes came out over time, and as I grew to write all kinds of things, I also grew out of Blake.
I still love her to bits, but she was no longer my favorite by Volume 4 Oscar Pine had stolen my heart, and I secretly joined his protection squad, and that was before I found that he had Ozpin.
And the biggest mistake of my life happened. Now I had a certain boyish face and have never regretted most of my life descions.
But what I’m talking about is that I love to cosplay, whenever I got to a expo or con I always dress up, but one time I decided to come out of the closet, I came out as a RWBY fan during the wrong time, now I had the right face and body type that I dressed up as Adam Taurus, and even better my father who was great with makeup had even given me the brand mark, in the correct area and the right shade.
But during that time there were other RWBY cosplayers and all I got was hate, and the problem was I didn’t hate or love Adam, I just chose the cheapest character to cosplay since I couldn’t even begin to be Oscar.
I still have the costume, but the problem was I was white, straight, and dressed as Adam, which when you put all three of those things together you get tons of hate.
And I spent entire convention, feeling at my lowest because everyone gave me the stink eye, not one person could even think to speak to me.
So, when I got back home after the three days at the convention, I cried to myself, and thought what was wrong with just thinking about how cool I would look.
I even wanted to get some photos, but RWBY/Adam hate was too strong, and I was left in the dust.
Feeling lonely I started to write, and at the end of the day I was myself again, but the experience stuck with me, and I never cosplayed as any RWBY character again.
Another thing to note is that being Straight and liking RWBY was another problem, when most people talk about RWBY it always ropes back to harems, poly relationships or how gay some characters are.
Now I’ve had any problems before, until I found a girl who liked RWBY back in one of my classes and when I told her I liked the show, and thought that Weiss didn’t a man or woman to back her up if she found the right confidence I was hit in the face, and when the same girl asked later if I liked gay ships or straight ships, I automatically answered straight because that was just how I was and what I liked.
But understand the BB kiss scene in Volume 9 drove me to tears in happiness, because I saw how both Blake and Yang grew as people, and I loved every moment.
(News Flash: THIS SPARKS PURE EMOTIONAL DAMAGE!!!)
Another point was when we reached Volume 7 and Cinder joined the list of characters that I liked.
Side Note: Remember a writer can’t turn off their brain, no matter how hard you think that you’ve tried.
Cinder becoming my favorite happened when I saw her eyepatch, and almost every character I have ever liked had either glasses or an eyepatch (Unless your Hange Zoe and you get both, but then again They are another one of my favorite characters of all time.)
Walking through Volume 7 felt like a fever dream, I was older now, and I was seeing something different in Cinder, and later in Volume 8 when they revealed her backstory, I came to understand the writer’s use for the word Fall in her last name.
What people forget is that people can fall, it isn’t that hard, and since Cinder had suffered so much and had tried to grow through suffering she was bound to keep falling, it's the Faller Mentality.
Seeing that brought pure tears to my eyes, I was a fallen person considering that I was straight and white, lonely in fact that no one wanted to be near me, and that I had the worst anger to boot.
Even now I still love Cinder as a character, and what hurts me is that I can’t say that without people thinking that I’m a bad person, so I shove it in the closet and cry.
But then something happened, and it was all thanks to my writing and my family that I got back on my feet again.
I still am straight, white, poor, lonely, but I’m still a person deserving of love, and even if I don’t get that from my peers, I still get it from my family, or I get self-love since I’m a closet fan for anything that I like.
And watching Volume 9 to see that I was similar to Blake, Oscar, Cinder, and even Adam.
So, for my final entry on this strange ramble post, I will give my thanks.
Thank you, Blake, for helping me learn myself.
Thank you, Oscar, for helping me know that anyone can fight back against fate.
Thank you, Cinder, for being lonely and crying with me.
Thank you, Adam, for existing so I could cosplay you.
Thank you, Weiss, for teaching me self-worth.
Thank you CRWBY for making a wonderful show.
Thank you Roosterteeth for funding it and expanding on it.
And finally Thank you to all that made it to the end of this post.
(Also thank you to all other characters, or else this post would a lot longer than it needs to be)
Here’s the hug that I’ve been waiting to use.
So go forth and chase after your dreams and become the best you you want to be. I’ll be rooting for you from the shadows, for I am the long-suffering death.
