hey, according to reports, israel is currently heavily bombing rafah, the only "safe-zone" in gaza, so can we please make some noise about that? thanks.
a barbie stan regurgitating the surface level, non-intersectional feminism they find to be so "groundbreaking" in the film by pulling the "misogynist" card when the category margot was nominated for ... consisted of all women, what with it being "best actress in a leading role" and all: life imitating art, indeed !! for the record, folks, crying patriarchy about a mediocre performance not being selected in favor of five far more deserving performances does not help your cause. it only serves to trivialize what feminism truly is. bye, barbie.
Colman Domingo ("Rustin") and Jodie Foster ("Nyad") have made Oscar history: It’s the first time two openly LGBTQ actors have been nominated for playing LGBTQ characters.
here's to hoping this marks the beginning of a second clean sweep for emma !! her competitors are not without talent but emma has truly put forth an unprecedented performance in regard to complexity, nuance, execution, physicality ... so on and so forth. emma built bella from the ground up, shaping her language, behaviors, mannerisms, and all other aspects of her humanity as she went along, the only sounding voice to guide her being the counsel of yorgos lanthimos. she displayed more range in this single project than the rest of her competitors put together, transcendently maintaining the fundamental love of life that defines bella's character as she portrays bella expressing this love in myriad different ways: in essence, etching a riveting course from a fully dependent being to a fiercely intelligent, independent woman, much to the dismay of men who try and confine her. we have never and will never witness a performance tantamount to this again and emma deserves all the the accolades to recognize the skill, talent, and work she put forth to craft our newest cinematic heroine. congratulations to the newly entitled 3x golden globe winner emma stone! the third comes from her producer role on 'poor things,' by the way :)
