I was listening to OtakuFM Anime and Chill season 2 and they talk about prospective unit songs, which, obviously, as I'm very late are already out but

Ngl I'm pretty upset that neither of their suggestions got made and desperately hope for a third round of unit songs, because those are pretty much my dream combos?

Levi and Belphie are in general my favorite brother duo, and I'd DIE for a unit song of these two, and Luci and Beel have an established dynamic/connection already so it's an easy pick, which leaves Asmo, Satan, and Mammon who I can see doing a fun song where they each take turns being the tsukkomi

I'd actually also love to see a Asmo and Satan song mostly because it'd be fun for Sumi and Ayme lol, and the Luci and Mammon song I was hoping for got picked up during the second round of unit songs so!

Honestly I'm just kinda... Underwhelmed by the trio picks. Asmo, Levi, and Mammon was pretty obviously a leftover unit, and they all did their own thing during the song too, so it's annoying they paired up Asmo and Levi again but with Beel this time, because that's even more clearly a leftover unit, like. There's really no connection there at all afaik... Also I haven't listened to anything that came out after the side characters' solos yet, but like they're probably all good songs anyway!!

I just,,, want my Belphie and Levi song rn, I feel robbed 😔

Like mentioned in the entry, the Forbidden Book of Three Minute Fried Chicken is tied to one of the Devildom's oldest party games! Basically, you open the book and transform into fried chicken for exactly three minutes. If you can go that long without being eaten, you transform back and win! And if you don't......well, I'm sure you can imagine what happens :)

Multiple variations of these three minute forbidden books exist and while you should avoid playing any of them around Beelzebub, the Forbidden Book of Ten Minute Demonus is the one you definitely should not play around Lucifer under any circumstance. Unless of course you're keen on losing your life. It's best to just keep the book closed and not to test fate~

thinking about lucifer again and how much i hate the “sadist” image he has.

in the words of the lovely kazuya yamashita (lucifer’s va) in what is probably my favorite otaku fm episode: i believe lucifer thinks about his brothers constantly. honestly love how much kazuya seems to understand lucifer’s character pretty well.

and it doesn’t take that much digging to realize how much lucifer cares about his family. he signed away the freedom he just earned to save his sister. he kept it a secret from his brothers to save them the hurt - thinking it’d be better if that burden fell to him alone. he hid belphie away in the attic to prevent diavolo from finding out belphie wanted to destroy humanity - and face punishment that’s likely worse than death for it. lucifer relies on mammon the most, the one who he seems to be the strictest with. and honestly, i’d be strict too if the last time i rebelled against authority i lost my sister. lucifer is strict with them to protect them, to protect his family.

and i keep thinking about mammon who expressed to have no regrets following lucifer after the celestial war. about beel who sees it as his duty to follow and protect lucifer. about levi being introduced to anime and manga through lucifer.

it’s really no wonder that the way to lucifer’s heart is getting along with his family.

this is only the tip of the iceberg, and there’s so much more to say! but yeah, i think the sadist label is a huge mischaracterization.

#disclaimer that i am in fact very biased #because lucifer has been my favorite character from the very beginning #but the love he has for his family is a HUGE reason why i love him so much #as i said there’s much more to this than the things i’ve mentioned and i definitely want to get into more of lucifer’s character #especially his relationships with diavolo satan and simeon!! #mammon too tbh #just so much to think about this man has taken over my mind 24/7 #no surprise that my mc (who is romantically involved with lucifer) also has a lot of themes surrounding family #love him very much <33 #obey me #obey me shall we date #obey me lucifer #lucifer obey me #obey me swd

I think some scenes are worth animating from the games. Like seeing your favorite scene becoming animated. See everyone's actual expressions instead of the 2D models expressions.

It could be from the Otaku FMs, Devilgrams, main story or Wanderer Whereabouts.

That's something I would happily watch anyday.

(I know W.W. is animated but it's still 2D and it's limited.)

I mean, just that one scene where Barbatos sprints at Mammon is something I would've loved to see. (I think it was from an event.. I don't remember..)

But that's all I wanted to say.. I think Obey Me! would be a bit better if some scenes were actually animated."

I wish we still got extras like Otaku FM, the meet & greet videos, more anime, etc...It feels like once Nightbringer released, they cut back on additional content :( I definitely feel like they're still making good money but idk

I'm also nervous if the 1 year anniversary of NB might come with an announcement for closing the OG game. I've never been into a similar game; is it something you can still access the servers for content you already have unlocked, or will it become completely unusable? Completely speculation about ending support for the first game btw, but you never know with game companies...we didn't expect a new game either 💀

What do you mean by pressure writing?

So I usually have a 5 hour time frame between first getting the name of the following day and it being midnight in Japan (which is when I usually post)

Technically that's a lot, but in reality I'm usually busy with other things in that time frame, so I only have 30min to 1h for coming up with a somewhat unique idea, maybe also track down information in case it has been mentioned in the series at one point (absolute hell), writing a short text about it (& sometimes getting carried away & making it too long) + taking a screenshot of the in-game widget and editing it to look the way I want

Most of the time only having 30min is still completely manageable, but some days I get writers block or the prompt is so bland that I cannot come up with something interesting for the life of me (Sky Day, my absolutely detested <3)

Also, birthdays actually take a little longer to edit because

the little confetti effect shouldn't cover the name of the day, so I have to retake the screenshot over and over again. Bonus points if name of the day is too long to just stay centered

Karasu is positioned differently on the birthday ones compared to the regular days which doesn't really work with the template I've created

the birthday widget is slightly lighter in color than the one for regular days, creating this weird border if I'm not careful with how I erase the background

I need to recreate the character icons (usually by taking a screenshot of when that character showed up in Otaku FM & then turning it a transparent) + I need to pray I find a somewhat high quality version for the new side characters

But yeah, that's why I call it my "pressure writing" blog. I usually don't even have the time to proofread anything, so the first draft is usually also what gets posted
