Seeing the sudden pink within his peripherals made the lavender Kai jump, clutching the orb in his grasp tighter and closer to his chest. It took him a second to remember where he was before he calmed down.
Everytime...!
Slowly he placed the sphere down before rising up to his feet in what he hoped was a dignified posture.
“Greetings, Lord Buu...”
Of all the beings Whis could have chosen as Beerus’s successor, it had to be Majin Buu. The one responsible for the near destruction of the entire universe. Twice. And for the deaths of his mentor and peers.
Which was surprising. He’d expected the angel to select one of the Saiyans to take on the role of God of Destruction. Though... it was probably understandable that neither ended up being Destroyers. They both had families and friends.
But still, Buu? He wondered if Whis picked the majin just to mess with him.
“An... unexpected visit... What business do you have here...?”
He was trying. Shin was trying so hard to be civil. Especially seeing as not only did he have to work with him for the rest of the foreseeable future, but that the Earthlings had assured that Buu was not the same Buu as the one that Bibbidi and later Babbidi had controlled.
Despite how often his mind returned to the past, everything and everyone that was lost, he had to try.
... But he couldn’t... trust him...

“5 Times the Love (I suppose you could have five ish characters each do one? XD)
Send “5 Times the Love” and I will write a drabble about the five times my muse fell in love with your muse
((Five drablles coming up!))
Shin smiled as he handed the coffee mug to Able, after having just made it and the coffee within more or less out of thin air.
“Here you are... As thank you for your kindness the last time we met,” he said, “I didn’t know how you like your coffee, so it’s just black right now. I can make your sugar cubes and the like to add to it, though, if you like.”
The albino man all the while stared at the cup in his pale hands for a moment, contemplating how coffee was just suddenly here.
“... Heh... Actually, I like it black. Thanks. Got like... teleportation magic or something?”
Ah... Not exactly...”
How to explain this...?
“I... put it together, atom by atom, element by element, until I made what you see here... if it makes sense.”
Able then stared at him with big red eyes.
And then smiled.
“Heh. Cool~”
Shin scratched between his upper lip and under his nose.
“I’m... glad you think so...”
How does he respond to that?

It wasn’t everyday that Flug had someone watch him within his element and genuinely be interested in it. Aside from 5.0.5., but he was a young bear, and also his son.
So the new employee spending his free time watching Flug work was... actually rather flattering.
It sort of became a thing between them. When Able was done with his job, or didn’t have any assignments for the day, he’d come into his lab, sit or stand, and watch him work, always conscious of the space that Flug may need with whatever he was working on at the time.
He didn’t know when, but at some point, the assassin began pitching in, helping with the work load a little.
He became a lab assistant of sorts. All the while while seeming to take joy in taking part.
It honestly felt... nice...

Angel nearly choked on and spat out his drink from laughing. He managed to swallow it before coughing out his cackle, beating at his chest with a fist to clear up his throat.
“Sorry ‘bout that. Maybe I should have let you finish before saying that,” the shorter spider said, smiling in a mixture of amusement and apologetic.
“Nah nah, babe, it’s fine. That was great~”
They’ve been chatting it up for a few weeks since Able checked in, mostly because of Angel’s curiosity.
It was weird, meeting someone so... sincere... He said he was a big fan, but treated him like... Like an actual person. Looking him in the eyes rather than his crotch, ass, thighs, or chest, keeping hands to himself, not actively trying to hit on him... He just didn’t... see that often down in Hell.
Not to mention he overheard his conversation with Charlie when he first checked checked in. Said he wanted to go into Heaven because he couldn’t live his dreams down here. He would have sarcastically thought ‘of course it ain’t just about the frees food and board at aaaaall’, but the way he said it... He didn’t know anyone that was that good at faking it. Not even the best actors, fakers, and brown nosers in the industry.
So he decided to talk with this guy, see what was up.
And the more he did... the more drawn to him he felt...
The white and red spider then turned away, seeming a bit flustered.
“Summin’ the matta?”
Able looked up at the ceiling, seeming to take a moment to think before turning back to face him.
“Uh... Hey... Would you uh... Would you be up for grabbing a coffee sometime...?”
... Was that a date...?
“... Heh. I wouldn’t mind that at all~”
---
Cherri grinned when seeing Angel and another man, she guessed was that boyfriend he’d been talking about, over at the corner, even moreso when Angel seemed to be looking around.
“Huh... Wonder where she is...” she heard him say.
The shorter spider then looked around before he locked eyes with her, much to her surprise.
As if to confirm that she had been spotted, he pointed right at her.
“I think that’s her over there.”
Well shit.
She hopped down from her hiding spot, Angel now looking at her as she approached.
“You’re a perceptive bastard, I’ll give you that.”
“Heh... Mercenary work has it’s benefits...~” the white and red spider demon said.
Huh... A hired gun, in a sense...
“Heh. Tryna sneak up on us again?~” Angel added.
She grinned up at him as she came to a stop.
“What can I say, gotta keep you on your toes, Angie!~”
She then looked back down at the shorter demon.
“So this is him?” the cyclopes demon asked, narrowing her eye at him in scrutiny.
“Yup~”
Cherri put a hand on her hips.
“So, why’d ya start dating Angel, huh? And no bullshittin’.”
“Hey... Take it easy, Cherr... He’s a good guy, I promise...” the tallest demon said, starting to sound a bit uneasy.
“Well, he’s really sweet and talented. And we’re from similar time periods, so I feel we can really connect. Like, I mentioned a phonograph, and he knew what that was-”
He went on and on.
He seemed really sweet... Too sweet...
Valentino had admittedly made her a bit paranoid about who Angel put his trust in. So she couldn’t help but scrutinize this boy...
He leaned back against his tall boyfriend, who held onto him by the arms, but kept eye contact.
“... So...?” Angel piped up, a bit tentatively.
Cherri then grinned.
“Good answer, bitch!~” she rang, clapping a hand on the short man’s shoulder before leaning closer.
“If I catch wind of you hurting him, I will twist your balls off...!” she hissed, her natural accent slipping out, “We clear, mate...!?”
“... Crystal, Sheila...~”
... Well well well...
---
Charlie smiled gently before reaching back for a key. She then handed it to her new guest, closing his hand around it.
“Well, I hope we can help make that dream a reality. Welcome to the hotel!~” she rang.
She never expected to get a new patron so soon after Alastor and company became a part of the staff. Especially because of that disaster fire of an interview.
Yet apparently that’s what brought him here in the first place, funnily enough.
He nodded with a smile.
“Thanks... I’ll be in the kitchen now...” he said gently as he moved past the desk.
She just hoped... she didn’t let him down...
