As Aventuras de Ozzie e Harriet

No ano passado, a série It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia quebrou um recorde que pertencia há mais de cinquenta anos a uma série que poucas pessoas falam hoje em dia: The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet, que mostrava o dia-a-dia da familia Nelson, interpretando alter egos deles mesmos.

A série começou a ser produzida no rádio em 1944, e es filhos, David e Ricky Nelson, passaram a fazer parte do elenco dela em 1949. Eles também viraram personagens em quadrinhos pela DC Comics, com cinco gibis publicados entre 1949 e 1950.

O sucesso da série radiofônica garantiu um longa-metragem produzido em 1952: Here Comes the Nelsons (aqui no Brasil chamado de “A Família do Barulho”) conta com ninguém menos que ROCK HUDSON no elenco, pouco antes dele estourar oficialmente como o super galã dos anos cinquenta (já havia falado dele por aqui!).

Neste mesmo ano, Ozzie e Harriet migraram para a televisão, aproveitando-se da popularidade do meio (o mesmo aconteceria com outras sitcoms famosas da época, como Our Miss Brooks), e lá permaneceram até 1964. Até 1 de Dezembro de 2021, ela era a série live action com + episódios produzidos: 435, mas It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia ultrapassou esse número.

Os Nelson acabaram se tornando um símbolo do núcleo familiar ideal da década de 50 e o filho mais novo, Ricky, um bem-sucedido artista de rock and roll — você deve ter ouvido sua música Lonesome Town em algum TikTok por aí. Ou “Hello Mary Lou” no clássico oitentista “Baile de Formatura 2”!

A presença de Ricky e suas performances musicais nos episódios das últimas temporadas são creditadas por ajudar a população adulta e tradicionais a aceitarem melhor o rock and roll, gênero musical emergente na época (e que vinha preocupando bastante esse grupo etário, devido ao comportamento dissidente da juventude).
