While I scream into the void of not finishing any art, have this silly oc interaction of Dandy and Will cause Will's hands are huge and I couldn't stop thinking about how tiny he'd make Dandy's hands look in comparison.
Will Wayward belongs to the lovely @kandavers

Can i talk about very slightly force sensitive Hunter PLEASE
The Facts
- at least once per episode knowing something’s wrong seconds before it happens
- It’s mostly just that, but someone also pointed out he always knows when Crosshair’s about to show up or say something
That’s the Force, baby, that’s the FORCE
Was it an intentional mutation? Could be, but i think no. Midichlorians barely make sense in-universe and i just think that makes them a difficult thing to study biologically—like its not really genetic, but sometimes it is, and the best reason anyone has for why anyone has different m-counts at all is just “the will of the force”
With the Force, everyone is connected to it, that’s the whole thing. Just some more so than others, in a spectrum. Probably all the best pilots and sharpshooters are just a tiny bit more in tune with it than most people. (I also have thoughts on an even-less-force-sensitive Crosshair, and how it would play a role in his fall)
But Kaminoans notice he has this slight precognition and it goes with a barely above average m-count, and take interest, going in and purposely trying to create a Force-sensitive clone. Making Hunter even more of Omega’s dad
Now, I don’t think this would be really canon to the show, and even if it is I don’t think exploring it fits with the story as it is, and really I enjoy a SW show that stays away from Jedi shit,
But imagine several scenarios:
-Someone (Ventress) explains to Omega, in front of the group, how she knows she has a strong connection to the Force and should be trained, noting things like intuition and precognition, and Hunter shakes his head “That’s not the Force, that’s just normal” like a parent not realizing they have the same mental illness their child was just diagnosed with
-It means that, for the purposes of Project Necromancer, Hunter could take Omega’s place. And he would do it in a heartbeat

i think its so crazy the way having power as a shinobi always seems to be such a double edged sword on naruto. like on one hand, u need it, its a tool for survival and it earns u respect from ur peers. but on the other .. it can also lead to the exact opposite. if u have too much power it can lead (or contribute) to isolation and becoming ostracized from ur community bc it makes people fearful of u .. this is applicable to madara i think and to naruto and gaara as well. madara isnt ostracized only bc of his power, it is also his lack of skill in forming bonds bc he has trust problems but his power is a major contributing factor. he is feared for his power (but also admired) and the more he gets isolated, the more he starts building his own identity around it as well and starts thinking its the only thing valuable abt himself. naruto as well is feared for his power as a jinchuuriki even tho he is also a bit of a special case since its only the grownups that know abt this so his peers ... they ostracize him for the opposite thing. he's a failure at the academy and a difficult learner so he gets no respect. it is only when he starts gaining more power (or controlling it better) and using it for the sake of the village that he gets everyone's respect and acknowledgement. he's a hero even all of a sudden. but gaara is an even more extreme case. gaara is also a jinchuuriki and he's ostracized for it to such an extent that he does not get to build bonds at all and in a bit similar fashion to madara starts self-identifying only over his power. both him and madara end up consumed by their power but while madara decides to use it for the sake of saving the world, gaara just fully decides to just live for himself, fight for himself and love only himself ... madara also becomes a bit self-absorbed but its not something he does purposefully i think. gaara just goes, well, everyone fears me and despises me anyway, so i might as well give them a reason. my only purpose in this world is to kill ... i have no other reason to live. i forgot where i was going with this but .. something something isolation, objectification and dehumanization from others on account of ur power and it leads to the person internalizing it and seeing themselves also as either below or above being human .. madara perceives himself to be above it, he develops a god complex and comes to think that he is the messiah who will solve the world's problems (with power) and gaara seems to perceive himself to be beneath it .. as a tool and a servant. both to his village and to the bloodthirsty voices he hears in his head.

Idk how to articulate this but after listening to ttpd I just feel like Taylor Swift needs therapy so bad. She's like if Britney had internalized everything and become a workaholic instead of shaving her head.
I mean this so sincerely. It's like she has a trauma response to the concept of honest self-reflection. A thought may cross her mind like "maybe I do use my jet more than necessary" or "maybe some of the criticism I recieve is valid" and then the 2009 VMAs and Snakegate flash before her eyes, knock her on her ass and all she can feel is furious spite. She'll keep writing songs like Mad Woman and Who's Afraid Of Little Old Me because she has a white-knuckle deathgrip on her own celebrity persona after nearly 20 years defending it. She'll sing "I'll sue you if you step on my lawn" with an eyeroll-- as if she didn't do that exact thing last month.
I guess her teenage fans won't get this, but it's bizarre that a 34 year old adult would leave a 6 year relationship and not have any ideas about her own culpability in its not working out-- there's no "we were just different people who didn't work together in the end", "we both made mistakes", no graceful goodbye for the person who once inspired Invisible String and Cowboy Like Me and Lover. He's simply the smallest man who ever lived, he was a cage and a prison cell and nothing more. "Burn all your past lives" is right.
I don't say this to sling shit at her. I was once a 13 year old girl on a swingset beside my sister, barefoot, singing Picture To Burn to the blue summer sky. I still treasure my copy of Debut, with its dented up plastic case and the lyric booklet missing (it was gifted to me that way.)
I say this all because I think it's fucking weird and twisted and TRAGIC that she doesn't believe in therapy unless she can film herself crying in the session for a Netflix camera crew.

i was looking for my chem notes and instead found a sketch I made back when cultivate chapter 16 dropped..,
(this is obviously not the same scene as there, but just something that remained rent free in my head,,, so this is uhhh idk maybe another reunion just later in the future where beloveds figured it all out finally and are more bold haha)
this was originally supposed to be a properly made comic but unfortunately, that is just not feasible at this point in time. but I didn't want to sit on the draft for the next few months or so, so I decided to throw it quickly together to make it a bit more legible and share it as it is haha (and to clarify im not gonna finish it any more than this. most likely. sorry)
the fic is yet once again cultivate by @neonghostcat
if its not clear what its supposed to be (which, fair) its supposed to be the reunion when LQG comes back from CQ but with a twist (ha!) because I'm weak like that for characters doing the spinny spin o(-(
so frame one is LQG standing somewhere nearby the homestead, perhaps the main gate or wherever, and gets spotted by SY who in turn stops in his tracks on his way from the lower terraces, and the rest hopefully is legible enough haha
-
↓the original sketch that i found + bonus on the right: jokes on SY now that LQG has him snatched he's not letting go. he can work with one hand just fine.

actually i'll share one more thought about the owl house - i've noticed people are misquoting belos. they're acting like he's saying "if you use violence, you'll be as bad as me."
that's not correct. that's not what he says.
he says you'll be as bad and unforgivable as these witches. from belos' pov, its about his human supremacist ideology. same reason he was willing to try cooperating with luz before. the consistent theme in belos' interactions with luz isn't really about pleading for peace, its that humans are inherently better than witches.
idk. in this particular instance, you can read it that "fight fire with fire" way, because belos is asking luz for help and she's refusing - but to belos, thats never gonna be about her being "on his level," because that would require him seeing himself as the bad guy. which he doesn't. so he would never say that.
the read that makes more sense to me is that its another instance of belos being self-serving in this insincere way... but also genuinely feeling like humans ought to be "better" than witches. even if it only helps himself.
