It has been reported that organic results are 8.5x more likely to be clicked on than paid results and although while taking account that PPC ads hold a slight advantage in conversion rates (1.5x more likely to convert), the opportunity from organic search is still 5.66x that of paid search.
From these results it is clear that SEO offers the best value in search marketing from a long-term perspective. It will take a lot of hard work and you won't rank #1 overnight but SEO is much more affordable and the long-term benefits have been proven.
So invest your time in SEO rather than PPC and get a bigger reward for your money and hard work
