Only Love Can Hurt Like This

Anakin Skywalker x Fem!Jedi!Reader

Y/n was sitting at the lunch table, the apple in her hand as she fiddled with her lightsaber, carving little markings and design's into the metal as she ate.

"what's wrong? too plain?"she heard Anakin walk over before taking the space beside her

"something like that."she hummed "i just feel that something so dangerous, should apear beautiful because in its own way it is"

"isn't that how it gets stolen? looking all snazzy and stuff"Anakin said

"To see just ones beauty can be the others downfall. Looks can be deceiving, Skywalker."She looked at his face, close to hers "...you taught me that"

"i'm sure. Once i become a master i could teach you more."Anakin smirked

"oh please, ill be a master before you."She laughed

"you wish, y/n"Anakin tilted his head "i'm the chosen one"

"and with attitude like that, thats all you'll be. Chosen, but never the one"Y/n smiled before she got up and walked away

"What's that supposed to mean?"Anakin quickly followed her

"it means you said you'd stay away"she whispered and looked around

"how do you expect me to stay away when you look like this?"He leaned close to her ear

"like what?"She stopped and looked at him after they turned the corner

"Beautiful."He said bluntly "Your not making this fair, Y/n. i need you"

"Fair? Anakin, we talked about this, as unfair as it is we can't happen. We'll be breaking the Jedi code. Neither of us will become masters"Y/n told him and crossed her arms.

"After what we did the other night, You cant tell me you didnt feel it."He stepped closer

"Anakin-"

"Holding you against me, that sweat glow on your beautiful skin in the moonlight , just.. riding me.. you were mine." He muttered as he looked down at her, almost growling at the thought as he fought back the aruge to kiss her lips. "you are mine."he stated "You felt what i flet, the force was stronger when we were togther, the force wants this. i want this. you want this. we want this."

"..We can't want anything, Ani. You know that."She whispered as her back hit the wall

"but we can have everything, you know that. Just say it."

"say what?"

"Yes"

"to what?"

"To me. To us."

"...Anakin"she whispered as he brushed his lips with hers

"say it"he told her

"..yes.."she breathed out before she kissed him quickly.

"well?"Y/n looked at the medical Bot

"you were right. You are pregnant"The bot confirmed

"..o..okay"she nodded. This was fine. She was fine. She could fix this. nothing had to change for anakin. He was a master and a General. He got everything. She also had her everything. Teaching younglings as a master and her husband when he came home from battle but now..

"Mam, General Skywalker is here to see you."Another bot walked in.

"Anakin? but he was suposed to be on Naboo"Y/N shook her head

"He-" The bot started before they heard Obi-wan yell

"Anakin, for stars-sake, get back here! Anakin!"Obi-wan sighed in frustration as he followed his old Padawan, who ran into the medical suit and scanned the beds before he caught Y/n in his sights, His y/n Safe.

"Y/n"He quickly ran over to his wife.

"Anakin, what are you doing here?"She grabbed his robotic hand as his flesh one came up and cupped her face so he could actually feel her in his hands.

"i heard you fainted. i had to check you were okay"He said as the medical bots closed the curtains around Y/n's bed and gave the Two Jedi's privacy

"I'm alright, really. you didn't have to come all this way."She shook her head

"what happened? did you get hurt? poisoned? miss a meal? did R2-"

"Ani" Y/n stopped him in his tracks

"what?" He looked at her

"i'm Pregnant" She whispered

"...you are?" He looked at her as she nodded. it took a second to set in Anakin's mind before his worried features faded into a smile before he kissed her.

"Anakin, its for the best."Y/n shook her head

"you can't leave. I'll talk to the council."He followed her

"i did. They agreed once i have the baby and the baby is of age to become a youngling, Yoda or Windu will train them" Y/n sighed

"it's not fair, this is my fault too"Anakin shook his head

"Ani, you don't think anything is fair."She smiled and shook her head at her husbands tantrum

"The Jedi's code is stupid. Let me come with you"He wrapped his arms around her waist, rubbing the bump.

Y/n hummed and leaned back into his chest "as tempting as it is, You stay here. I mean it, Anakin, you have Everthing you want. Don't throw everything away."

"I have everything, you right, you are my everything and their taking you away from me."He shook his head

"i'm not going anywhere, Love. But think about it, if you stay, you can take care of them when i'm at home.. maybe.. having another"She gently rubbed his arm

"..I don't want them"

"what? Anakin, how could you say that?"She gasped

"I don't want the baby if i can't have you."He shook his head quickly

"Anakin, im still here. its not like im dying"She pointed and Anakin looked at her before he walked away and held the Balcony "..this isn't about the Jedi or the baby. This is about that Dream you had, isn't it?"

Anakin shook his head "I can't lose you"

"Ani, it was just a dream-"She tried

"I know what i saw, Y/n! i won't lose you the way i lost my mother or how i lost Ashoka."Anakin spoke

"Your mother was killed, Ashoka left because she wanted to , it was her decision and this is mine. I will leave, i will have this baby, they will be a youngling and you will protect them!"Y/n told him

Anakin shook his head and walked away

"Anakin-"

"no"He grabbed his robe and left

"Anakin!"

Y/n sighed as rubbed her bump as she walked downstairs, leaving the babies room. She was due any time now, but she hadn't seen Anakin in months, when she heard anything from him it was just promises to save her, save the baby, be happy. she had no idea what it meant but it worried her.

"Y/n"She heard and she dropped her book and turned

"Obi-wan"She sighed in relief "You scared me"She smiled

"i must have a word with you. Its about Anakin."Obi-wan said and she looked "when was the last you saw him?"

"a few weeks ago"she said

"do you know where he is?"he asked

"no"she rubbed her bump

"Y/n, i need your help. He is in grave danger"He folled her close

"from the Sith?"she asked and turned

"..from him-self...Y/n, Anakin has turned to the darkside"Obi-wan gently grabbed her shoulders

"...you're wrong, how could you even say that? Anakin would never-"

"i have seen a security hologram of him...killing younglings."He covered his mouth

"No- , Not Anakin."

"he was tricked into a lie. we all were. by Chancellor Palpatine, he's the sith lord we've been looking for, after Count Dooku, Anakin became his new apprentice."Obi-wan explained

Y/n shook her head and walked away from him and say down on the sofa

"..Y/n, Anakin trusts no on emore than you with his life, i know you know where he is, you must tell me."He walked over and sat beside her

"..i can't"

"Can't or won't?"

"i can't, Obi-wan"She shook her head slightly ".. your going to kill him, aren't you?"

"..If i must."Obi-wan nodded beofre he got up

"..I can't, im sorry"She shook her head

"..He's the Father isn't he?"Obi-wan looked at her

Y/n looked at Obi-wan before she looked away and rubbed her bump.

"..I'm sorry"He said before he left

Y/n sat for a few minutes, silence around her after Obi-wan left, soft sobs escaping her as she thought of all her friend's, family, teachers and children lost in Order 66. All because of Anakin? Her Anakin? it couldn't be true, because if it was, this would be the final blow to finally make her broken heart shatter.

"Anakin"Y/n breathed out as she got off the ship, running to her husband

"My beautiful Y/n"Anakin quickly took his wife in his embrace, holding her tight to his body as he breathed in her scent, before attaching his lips with hers quickly, it felt good, it felt safe, this was them, but.. the longer it lasted the more.. deadly it felt. "i saw your ship, what are you doing out here?" He cupped her face after he pulled away

"I was worried about you. Obi-wan, he, found me. He told me terrible things."She shook her head as she helf his arms

"what things?"anakin said

"He said - He said you've turned to the dark side, that you killed younglings."she said

"..Obi-wan is trying to turn you against me."

"He cares about us, ive known him side i was a girl, he's my brother. He knows about the baby and us. He want's to help."She smiled softly up at him ".. Anakin, all i want is your love."

"Love won't save you, Y/n. Only my new powers can do that."He shook his head and held her waist

"at what cost? you're a good person, don't do this."She begged him

"I won't lose you, Y/n. I can't live without you. I'm becoming more powerful than any Jedi has ever dreamed off. I'm doing it for you. To Protect you."He told her, holding her close

"Anakin, come away with me, us. Help me raise our child, yeah? Leave everything behind while we still can"She nodded and moved his hands to her bump.

"Don't you see? We don't have to hide or run away anymore. I have brought peace to the Republic. I am more powerful than the chancellor, i can over throw him. Togther you and i can rule the galaxy. Emperor and Empress, make things the way we want them to be"He nodded

Y/n looked at him and stepped back "..Obi-wan was right, You have fallen into darkness"

Break

'I don't wanna hear anymore about Obi-wan. The rest of the Jedi turned against me, don't you turn against me."He pointed

Break

"I don't know you anymore. Anakin, You're breaking my heart. Your gong down a dark path. i won't follow it."She shook her head

"because of obi-wan?"He asked

"because of you! what you've done, what you plan to do."She shook her head "you're not the boy i remember, you were good, Kind! i loved you for that, I still do! just come back to me"She tried to grab his arm

"Liar!"He moved away once he saw obi-wan

Break

Y/n looked back "No! Anakin-"She begged

"You brought him here to kill me"He lifted his hand and starting to choke her, Y/n could feel her heart breaking with every breath that left her lips, begging for anakin to stop. come back.

'Anakin, please' She begged through her force, trying to reach his clouded mind, using the last of her strength to breach his mind 'Anakin' was all she got out before he let her go and she fell into darkness
