Sir Terry Pratchett: on writing Good Omens with Neil Gaiman
I love the whole interview but this little snippet most of all:
Terry: “You can usually bet, and I’m sure Neil Gaiman would say the same thing, that, uh, if I go into a bookstore to do a signing and someone presents me with three books, the chances are that one of them is going to be a very battered copy of Good Omens; and it will smell as if it’s been dropped in parsnip soup or something in and it’s gone fluffy and crinkly around the edges and they’ll admit that it’s the fourth copy they’ve bought”.
Hey who wants to see pics of my garbage idiot cat children?
Unexpectedly photogenic Parsnip (black long hair) and Ham (grey tabby shorthair with white bib and boots) cuddling at the top of the cat tree where they DEFINITELY both fit, don't question it:
Immediate top ten anime betrayal moment:
Dusty (grey and peach torbie short hair) and Parsnip chilling in a window together even though she find his deaf ass The Most Annoying:
All three of them are goblins, but for completely different reasons and in completely different ways. They're all super cute, though, so everybody should look at them right now!
If anyone has questions about what it's like to live with a young deaf cat (as opposed to an old cat that has gone deaf), feel free to ask and I will be glad to answer, but otherwise I'm not typing up an essay.
Bonus:
an extremely cryptid photo of Parsnip mid-stretch that reminds me of
brian pasternack has rizz so deep in the negatives that it somehow manages to wrap back around to somehow someway ungodly mountains of the stuff. he falls flat on his face trying to get into the elevator and half the office that's still coherent enough to think has the "ohhh i can't not fuck him" panel from neil cicierega's hit comic ariel needs legs flash in their mind so fast and repetitively that at least two of them might enter an epileptic episode because of it
All harvests are satisfying, but unearthing root veggies is my favorite.
Celery, beetroots and parsnips were decent this year. Carrots and parsley not so much, was only left with digging maybe half a bucket of each at the end of the season.
Otterhound, Eurasier, Silken Windhound, Saluki, Shetland Sheepdog, Australian Shepherd, Great Dane (ft. Parsnip), Belgian Shepherd Malinois, Staffordshire Bull Terrier
Fennel Seed And Garlic Roasted Pork Tenderloin With Parsnip Mash And Autumn Slaw. Apples and fennel is a classic combination and even better when pork tenderloin is involved! The pork is seared and served on a beautiful bed of mashed parsnips and shaved fennel, apples and brussels sprouts.
