Tropical Sundaes
Tumblr media
These Tropical Sundaes are a decadent, but also light and fruity, ice cream concoction which only requires a few fresh fruit and ice cream. The piquant flavour of the the Ginger Ice Cream pairs wonderfully with pineapple and passion fruit, and the Rum Whipped Cream finishes it beautifully!
Ingredients (serves 2):
1/4 of a large, ripe pineapple
1 large ripe passion fruit
Ginger Ice Cream
Rum Whipped Cream, to top
With a sharp knife, cut off the skin and core of the pineapple, then cut it into dices.
Halve passion fruit.
Spoon a few pineapple chunks at the bottom of two tall serving glasses. Scoop out the pulp of one of the passionfruit halves onto the pineapple.
Dip an ice cream spoon in hot water, and scoop four beautiful scoops Ginger Ice Cream; spoon two into each glass. Top with more pineapple chunks and passionfruit pulp.
Generously top with Rum Whipped Cream, and scatter remaining pineapple dices on top. Drizzle with remaining passionfruit pulp.
Serve and enjoy your Tropical Sundaes immediately!

If you're here from my previous post and/or have stumbled upon this yourself, below me are research papers (recipes) for sweet and savory abnormalities! Part 1
Mountain of Smiling Bodies cake bites > Apologies in advance, I don't quite have a "recipe" for this one I just did it as I went. Best way I can explain it is: - I used store-bought cake mix, added a spoonful of yogurt + coffee ( since it was chocolate and these are my preferences) - Then once the cake was made, I used store-bought frosting and basically hand-kneaded it all together to form cake bites. ^ If you want to make some with a gaping mouth, just poke your finger into them or shape them accordingly. - Then I broke up Pocky Sticks and inserted them into the cake balls, then let chill. - After that, I would highly recommend doing chocolate ganache and NOT just heat up chocolate chips. You want the chocolate to be flowy enough to spoon over them, you get the gist. Plus the ganache makes it a darker color and more shiny. ^ For ganache, it's just a cup of chocolate chips, and then around a half a cup of Heavy Whipping Cream. I just kind of eyeballed it, sorry.
Punishing Bird Pâte à Choux (Cream Puffs) ^ For this one, I used a lovely recipe by Preppy Kitchen. Love his recipes/stuff and HIGHLY recommend this one. I've used it for a while now and it's my favorite. - Here is the recipe: https://preppykitchen.com/passionfruit-cream-puffs/ - After that, I added powder sugar on top, added two chocolate chips for the eyes, then a strawberry slice for the tummy. ^ These are going to be MUCH more savory if you do not fill them. So if you like that, then these are for you. That being said, I would highly recommend a strawberry/fruit sauce to go with it! Scorching Girl Pretzel Sticks ^ This one I feel is pretty self explanatory - Grabbed some pretzel rods, broke them in half, made a chocolate coating by heating up chocolate chips, dipped them in, then let chill. ^ Make sure to let the first layer of chocolate chill before you put the red on. And for those I used chocolate wafers.
--==--==--==--==--==--==
And that concludes part 1 to the Lobotomy Corporation Sweet and Savory Abnormalities Recipe Guide!

What would your boys get if they ever go to a starbucks? (this popped in my brain while wishing i had a double shot can from the gas station)
hmm.. that's an interesting one! you didn't say which of my characters, so i just picked a few of them Taranis: Mocha Cookie Crumble Frappuccino .. maybe with some extra chocolate syrup sometimes .. he has such a strong sweet tooth, but wouldn't ever admit it. has probably bribed or threatened the baristas to never mention his order to anyone.
Tumblr media
Bowie: Frozen Pineapple Passionfruit Lemonade Starbucks Refresher. mega fruit lover in the house!! def something he would drink after working on his families farm, or after a lot of harmonica playing at his dorms hidden 'tavern'. sweet boi likes sweet treats! probs trys to get/mimic the recipe to make it for his friends.
Tumblr media
Cailean: Iced Peach Green Tea Lemonade - with extra lemon. very refreshing after a streak of pranks on his dorm mates, or for soothing his dry throat after light music club rehearsals. best mix of sour and sweet for him.
Tumblr media
Bomani: Iced Matcha Tea Latte with Oleato Golden Foam ... not sure how to explain this one, but just trust me on this. (am i just saying it cuz of the vibes? cuz its green like seaweed and hes a merman? who knows..)
Tumblr media
Hikaru: Emperor's Clouds & Mist (hot tea/green tea) sometimes keeping it simple is the way to go! he just really likes tea.. has probably tried all the types starbucks has like some kinda tea-type food critique but with only compliments and genuine reviews, no negativity here folks. always gives decent tips, even if he doesn't end up liking his order.
Tumblr media
Oisín: some simple hot chocolate with LOTS of whipped cream, and a little cinnamon sprinkled on top :3 caffeine makes him a little sleepy but mainly doesn't have much of an effect (plain caffeine tastes icky to him, too). so he goes for the sweeter hot stuff.
Tumblr media
Wyborne: Pumpkin cream cold brew .. with LOTS of expresso shots. like, as many as the workers are legally allowed to give him - whatever number that is to where it won't kill him but still keep him awake for 3 weeks straight without seeing god. he's a busy boy ('i dont have a problem, you do' - said him)
Tumblr media
Fǔzhù: Iced Royal English Breakfast Tea Latte - he would drink like maybe 3 a day if he had the time to go out and get them. but, his schedule is usually too packed for even short trips like that. so its a rare, but nice, treat for him.

7 Delicious New Zealand Foods to Try
Tumblr media
New Zealand is well-known for its breathtaking scenery and daring activities, but it is also a foodie's paradise. The country has a diversified culinary landscape, inspired by its indigenous Maori culture and immigration cultures. From delectable treats to Savory specialties, New Zealand has a delicious selection of foods to suit every appetite. Pavlova is a light and fluffy dessert topped with whipped cream and fresh fruit that should not be missed. This famous Kiwi dish is a popular choice at celebrations and gatherings around the country. Another must-have is hangi, a traditional Moori way of cooking meals in an underground oven that produces smokey, soft meats and flavourful veggies. For those with a sweet tooth, hokey pokey ice cream is a must-try. This creamy dessert contains crunchy bits of honeycomb toffee, resulting in a delicious blend of textures and Flavors. And seafood fans will want to try Bluff oysters, which are picked from the clean waters of Foveaux Strait and are known for their plump texture and saline flavour. These are just a handful of the delectable New Zealand delicacies ready to be sampled. So, whether you're touring the busy streets of Auckland or the tranquil countryside of the South Island, make sure you sample these gastronomic treats for a real flavor of Kiwi friendliness.
Here are some delicious New Zealand foods to try.
1. Pavlova: Pavlova is a traditional New Zealand dessert made of a delicate meringue foundation and topped with whipped cream and fresh fruits, including kiwifruit, strawberries, and passionfruit. This light and fluffy dessert, named after the Russian ballerina Anna Pavlova, is a popular choice for celebrations and special events around New Zealand. Its crunchy outer shell and soft, marshmallow-like core offer an ideal combination of sweetness and texture that is guaranteed to please the palate.
2. Hangi: Hangi is a traditional Maori cooking method in which food is steamed in an underground oven. This unusual cooking technique adds a smokey taste to the meal while keeping it moist and delicate. A hangi feast usually includes a range of meats, including chicken, hog, and lamb, as well as root vegetables like potatoes, kumara (sweet potatoes), and pumpkin. The resultant dishes are bursting with flavour and scent, making hangi a must-try culinary experience for tourists to New Zealand.
3. Hokey Pokey Ice Cream: Hokey pokey ice cream is a popular New Zealand delicacy made with vanilla ice cream and crunchy pieces of honeycomb toffee. The caramelized flavour and pleasant crunch of the hokey pokey bits complement the sweet and creamy ice cream, resulting in a lovely texture and taste contrast. Hokey pokey ice cream, whether served in a cone or in a dish with toppings such as chocolate sauce or fresh berries, can please any sweet craving.
4. Whitebait Fritters: Whitebait fritters are a famous dish in New Zealand, prepared from the small, transparent fish known as whitebait. These delicate fish are combined with eggs and spices before being pan-fried to perfection, yielding a light and fluffy fritter with a subtle seafood taste. Whitebait fritters, which are frequently served as an appetizer or snack, are best consumed straight from the griddle with a squeeze of lemon juice and a sprinkling of sea salt.
5.Kiwifruit: Kiwifruit, often known as kiwi, is a New Zealand native fruit that has grown in popularity worldwide due to its brilliant green flesh and distinct tangy-sweet flavor. Kiwifruit is high in vitamin C and fiber and may be eaten fresh or added to a number of meals, including fruit salads, smoothies, desserts, and Savory foods. Kiwifruit, whether sliced and eaten with a spoon or used as a colourful garnish, provides a refreshing blast of flavor to any meal.
6. L&P: L&P, which stands for Lemon & Paeroa, is a traditional New Zealand soft drink that has become an iconic Kiwi beverage. L&P is made with natural spring water from the town of Paeroa and flavoured with genuine lemon juice, giving it a notably crisp and zesty taste that is both refreshing and thirst-quenching. L&P is a popular Kiwi drink that symbolizes the laid-back and easygoing culture of New Zealand, whether consumed on its own or blended with other beverages such as soda or ginger beer.
7. Bluff oysters: Bluff oysters are a renowned delicacy obtained from the pristine waters of the Foveaux Strait on New Zealand's South Island. Bluff oysters are renowned for their plump texture and rich, salty flavor, making them among the world's best oysters. Bluff oysters are a gourmet delicacy that seafood enthusiasts will not want to miss when visiting New Zealand. They may be eaten raw on the half shell with a squeeze of lemon juice or cooked in a variety of recipes, such as oyster stew or tempura.
 Conclusion
Exploring New Zealand's excellent dishes is crucial for appreciating the country's rich culinary heritage. From the classic pavlova to the savory hangi, each meal represents a distinct aspect of Kiwi culture and cuisine. Whether you're enjoying hokey pokey ice cream or the freshness of Bluff oysters, there's something for everyone's taste. For those looking to embark on a culinary journey in New Zealand, acquiring a New Zealand visa from Delhi opens the door to a world of culinary delights. New Zealand's breathtaking scenery and diversified culinary scene provide a sensory feast that should not be missed. So, whether you're touring Wellington's colourful food markets, dining at a quaint café in Christchurch, or having a seafood feast in Auckland, be sure to try these delectable New Zealand delicacies for an amazing gastronomic adventure. he would get into extreme couponing. he would be the guy in the front row filming at his young family members recitals and blocking everyone else’s view with his massive camera and making them all hate him so bad. he would collect rae dunn pottery but specifically only the dog bowl that says DEVOUR and he has at least 30 of it and he’s embarrassed he doesn’t have more. he would buy an air fryer and be so impressed with it that he would buy a second one before realizing he does not need two but he wouldn’t be able to get anyone to take it from him even as a gift because no one trusts him. he would post pictures of himself with fish he caught online if he knew how to work a phone but he doesn’t and he is incapable of learning. he would dress as rosie the riveter for halloween. he would drink milk even though he doesn’t like it because he thinks it makes your bones sturdier and he would gag after every single sip. he would get into whittling and only carve whales and squids and then make them fight. he would invite you to go camping in the tundra and then wake you up in the middle of the night wrestling a polar bear and winning. he would stand outside during a storm trying to get struck by lightning on purpose. he would take you fishing and then jump in the lake and come up with one in his mouth. he could chop wood with the speed and efficiency of expert mochi pounders. he would think love shack is one of the greatest songs of all time. he would wear a tuxedo to his wedding but like, in the way a woman who doesn’t like wearing dresses would, not in a man way. he would call his spouse his wifey exclusively regardless of their gender. he would have like 8 kids (all daughters) because he wants a big family and he would never be home (busy going out to kill things) but they would all still like him better than their other parent anyway. he would get pregnant and tell everyone it was an immaculate conception. he would love roller disco. he would make it to the bake-off final seeming like the best baker in the tent and then lose because someone else made a better passionfruit curd than him. he would NEVER swear. except he could say cunt. he would wear half moon glasses to read in bed at night. if you handed him a bowl of cream and told him to whip it by hand he would do it faster than you could with an electric mixer. if you asked him if he’s ever consumed human flesh he would take just a little too long to respond. he would burn his fingerprints off and then wear gloves all the time anyway. by god i could go on forever

Rum Pineapple and Passionfruit Pavlova
Tumblr media
We eat our Christmas Pudding on Christmas Eve rather than on Christmas Day in this house, after a lighter, if festive, meal --although, by the time we tuck into the flambéed pud, it actually is well after midnight! Thus, our Christmas Lunch ends on a lighter and fluffier note, oftentimes a good old pav, with sharp and bright fruit and a tangy, spiced cream. As my girlfriend gave me a recipe for Mince Pies, I shared this particularly Kiwi Rum Pineapple and Passionfruit Pavlova with her. (She said it went down a treat in New Plymouth, with none of it left! It was a success up here, too!)
Ingredients (serves 8 to 10):
For the meringue
4 large eggs whites
1 cup caster sugar
1 teaspoon cornflour (cornstarch)
1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
For the rum-soaked pineapple
½ plump vanilla bean, split lengthwise
1/2 large, ripe pineapple
1 heaped tablespoon Manuka Honey
2 tablespoons Ginger and Lime Rum
1 cup double cream
1 heaped teaspoon Manuka Honey
2 large, ripe passion fruits
Draw a 20cm/8″ circle on baking paper and line a baking tray with it. Preheat oven to 160°C/320°F.
Place egg whites in the bowl of an electric stand mixer, and beat on high speed for about 5 minutes (whites must not be too stiff). While still beating, add caster sugar, 1 tablespoon at a time until all is incorporated. In a small bowl, stir cornstarch and apple cider vinegar until well-blended. Add to the egg whites. They now must be beautifully glossy and stiff.
Spoon the meringue onto parchment paper, spreading it evenly in the drawn circle (keep it into the lines, as the meringue will spread a bit while cooking), shaping it into a sort of a wreath, with a hollow centre and thick enough edges.
Place on the middle shelf of the preheated oven, and bake meringue at 120°C/250°F, for 1 hour and a half. When cooked, you should be able to lift it easily from the parchment paper. Leave in the oven, until cooled, about an hour.
Scrape seeds off the vanilla bean and into a medium bowl.
With a serrated knife, cut off pineapple skin. Core pineapple and cut it into chunks. Add them to the bowl, along with Manuka Honey, and Ginger and Lime Rum. Stir well to coat and combine, and allow to infuse and marinate in the refrigerator, at least a couple of hours.
Before serving, pour double cream into a medium bowl, and beat with an electric mixer on high speed until soft peaks form. Gradually beat in Manuka Honey, and four tablespoons of the Manuka Honey and Ginger and Lime Rum marinade until stiff peaks just form.
Gently place meringue onto serving plate. Spoon Manuka Honey and Ginger and Lime Rum whipped cream in the middle of the meringue. Cut one of the passion fruits in half and scoop its pulp onto the cream. Swirl it in with a spoon. Scatter Ginger and Lime Rum-soaked pineapple chunks generously on top. Halve remaining passion fruit, and drizzle its pulp all over.
Serve Rum Pineapple and Passionfruit Pavlova immediately, with a glass of chilled Champagne.

I am getting unduly excited about wedding planning. I want to start so many of these projects but we’re leaving for Austin in 5 days and can’t justify starting a bunch of shit. ESPECIALLY before we have a home inspection the following weekend.
But ANYWAY. Im planning on making our cakes. My favorite idea so far is: Lemon cake with auntie liliko’i passionfruit and mango butter filling, with a rosemary infused, whipped cream cheese frosting. And I want to start on this SO BAD
