TSC De-registered Teachers, March 2023
Tumblr media
TSC De-registered Teachers, March 2023 The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) is responsible for registering and regulating the teaching profession. Pursuant to section 30 of the TSC Act (2012), the TSC has the power to remove a teacher from the Register of Teachers if they are found guilty of professional misconduct, incompetence, or a criminal offence. The TSC may deregister a teacher after conducting an investigation and a disciplinary hearing, where the teacher is given an opportunity to defend themselves. The decision to deregister a teacher is made after due process, and is meant to protect the public from unqualified, incompetent, or unethical teachers. Deregistration may have serious consequences for a teacher, as it may affect their ability to find employment in the teaching profession, or in other professions that require a clean disciplinary record. It may also damage their professional reputation and credibility. The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has released a list of teachers who have been removed from the Register of Teachers. The following teachers are no longer permitted to engage in teaching in any learning institution: TSC De-registered Teachers, March 2023 - Newton Githinji Mwangi (TSC No. 320845) - Moses Barasa Wanjala (TSC No. 446066) - Constance Sayo (TSC No. 403206) - Benard Gichuhi (TSC No. 681560) - Ngugi Peter (TSC No. 442726) - Leonard Barasa (TSC No. 358110) - Michael S. People Power, Bobi Wine did not deliver me victory in Jinja West- Mwiru Jinja West Member of parliament Paul Mwiru has come out to refute claims that People Power and Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine did not single-handedly deliver him to victory in the 2018 by-elections in Jinja.Mwiru was declared the winner with 6,654 votes while long-time rival Nabeta was second-best with 5,043 votes.A number of times Bobi Wine has claimed credit for changing the tide in Jinja, Bugiri, and Arua and that he is responsible for the way results turned up, this, Mwiru says is not correct.“It is not true that People Power single-handedly led me to victory in Jinja West.
