Your Ghost

So I’m not sure if this would rhyme, I’m not sure if this would reason, would I even be able to call this treason? My heart feels treason often leaving me melancholy, but it makes no sense because sometimes there's no reason. As I move on day to day with ultimate dismay I remember why I won't do it again, why I should refuse to stay. I have a hard time moving forward, after all, I will have the same outcome, just a happy feeling, a climax, and then its all done. These days I am more apathetic leaving me to believe feelings are pathetic. I try not to look, but sometimes I can't help it, and when I do I can see the sparks in your eyes showing a ghost, a ghost of what we used to be, however, while you’ve probably moved forward mine still haunts me. I can see now what our ghosts thought they would never see right in front of me, as we live it out, it once again haunts me. It makes me wonder if what was there existed, If it begged for another outcome, although despite my dread I believe this is the right one. I have learned that love will not choose me as a lucky winner, so I might as well focus on different things and people. After all, in this world, we are all sinners.  There is just one thing I would hope to see, that even though I’m not her I hope you remember me.
