Warrior Cats Novellas in 10 Words or Less (mostly 10 words):

So I started explaining the super editions to my friend who’s only read the first series and then this just happened. I’ve read a majority of the novellas and I’ve at least seen review for pretty much all of them so this may be somewhat accurate. Without further ado:

Hollyleaf’s Story - presumed-dead murderer delays confronting mistakes (with ghost love interest???)

Mistystar’s Omen - local leader conflicted about her atheist doctor (real main character)

Cloudstar’s Journey - entire people wiped out in series of tragic events (sad)

Tigerclaw’s Fury - coup leader recruits goons (several things go wrong)

Leafpool’s Wish - doctor has illegal affair and children (sister deals with it)

Dovewing’s Silence - I cried at the mass funeral (not kidding)

alternatively; Dovewing’s Silence - woman struggles with perfectly fine hearing (featuring annoying creep Bumblestripe)

Mapleshade’s Vengeance - everyone is somewhat to blame (please don’t kill me)

Goosefeather’s Curse - baby prophet gets bullied (and causes numerous disasters)

Ravenpaw’s Farewell - gay cats are the best cats (rip OG Alderheart)

Spottedleaf’s Heart - they didn’t think this one through well enough (questionable)

Pinestar’s Choice - had to look this one up (guy thinks life sucks?)

Thunderstar’s Echo - don’t know this one (mundane stuff happens in ancient Thunderclan?)

Redtail’s Debt - the writers didn’t pay attention (still a good story tho)

Tawnypelt’s Clan - old lady sick of everyone’s shit (and rightfully so)

Shadowstar’s Life - state leader paranoid about assassination (tensions temporarily resolved with death)

Pebbleshine’s Kits - pregnant woman wanders around a bit (allows kinda weird cameos)

Tree’s Roots - genuinely nice character backstory (will warm your heart)

Mothwing’s Secret - doctor rejects religion (good conclusion - the gods are a scam)

Daisy’s Kin - babysitter thinks she’s purposeless (she’s actually too good for everyone)

Blackfoot’s Reckoning - cool, but I don’t get the hype (sorry Blackstar fans)

alternatively; Blackfoot’s Reckoning - president reviews obvious mistakes during inauguration (while making several excuses)

Please tell me somwthing good happens to Hawkwing! I know a lot of his writing is crappy (with Pebblepaw especially, but the writer's views on romance in general is... iffy) but he is one of my blorbos. I love what he says about grieving, that he likes remembering her.

I just... wish he and Pebbleshine wwren't first cousins.

Well, quite a few things are going to happen to Hawkwing.

I need to properly read his super edition, but with the actual books?

He and Plumwillow are becoming mates! Sandynose is still the father of Plum's kittens, but they break up. She has fallen out of love with him. They get together during Squirrelflight's Freedom, noted by the Allegiances. Though, they aren't having more kits. They agree they have enough collectively. Also, side note, Plumwillow doesn't mentor anyone but Sunnypelt much later on. Just makes me feel a bit better.

He is featured more during The Broken Code, as he is Rootspring's grandfather, and I want Rootspring's family to actually get some focus instead of being props. He is a proper grandpa and spoils his grandchildren rotten whenever he can.

He gets a horrible wakeup call during his super edition, Hawkwing's Flight, when his father Sharpclaw joins The Kin. He is forced to kill his own father to protect those he cares about.

He and Pebbleshine have a different relationship story now. He is very awkward around her when they are young, but very kind to her. When he saves her, she is filled with guilt, but he lets her cry and grieve with him, as she and Duskpaw were incredibly close friends. His feelings are more consistent with what we see later on in AVOS. It hurts to lose his brother, but his brother would want to be remembered in a happy way, and his mentor helps him with that too. He isn't perfect, of course, and part of him WANTS to be mad at Pebblepaw. Hawkwing's Flight is about grief, and moving forward with it.

Speaking of Pebbleshine, no! He and Pebble are no longer related! Pebbleshine and Parsleyseed are now the children of Tinycloud and Canyonfang, an OC who joins the Kin... Or he would have if Tinycloud hadn't absolutely BODIED him. Tinycloud ain't no soft momma. (Also, while Sharpclaw x Cherrytail gives me the ick, Sparrowpelt x Tintcloud does as well. Age gap is shorter but unless it's a specific circumstance such as same age but one is just teaching the other, I'm never pairing apprentices and their mentors)

Hawkwing, Blossomheart, and Duskpaw are now the children of Sharpclaw and Ebonyclaw, who permanently joins Skyclan, but got into a very toxic relationship with Sharpclaw. He used her to appear better, as if he took a 'kittypet' mate, no one would suspect his hatred for them. (By the way, Cloudmist is now Cherrytail and Shrewtooth's kit, in case you wondered. She is so close with the SharpEbony litter she may as well be their sister though.)

He sadly is gonna have a rough go of thing's during A Starless Clan. Leafstar suffers a sudden heart attack due to the Starless Clan Curse activating, along with the fall from an incredibly high branch taking her final life. And just as he is about to step up and announce that he will take her place, Waspwhisker and the other missing cats enter the camp. So... Who has the rightful claim to leadership? Hawkwing has been deputy for a while now, sure, but it was always stated in the beginning that if Waspwhisker came back, it would go back to him...

Skyclan begins to split itself down the middle. One half vouching for Hawkwing, the other for Waspwhisker. The issues down in Riverclan and Shadowclan reaching their peaks as Hawkwing and Waspwhisker desperately try to keep the peace...

Tree dump ig because I obviously needed to make the WQAU tree even more different from canon /hj

SO, Tigerheart (and Dawnpelt and Flametail) is now the son of Rowanscorch (Rowanclaw) and an unknown cat outside the clans. He obviously can't be Tawnyclaw's child because Tawnyclaw is with Squirrelflight having Sparkfire and Alderheart around the time Tigerheart needs to be born so just to spice up Shadowclan's gene pool I'll throw in some non-clan parentage in there.

Also Rowanscorch was formerly named Redrowan before Tawnyclaw helped him come out and rename himself Rowanscorch (after his father Scorchwind), so he let her pick one of his kits' names.

Shadowsight and Lightflight (Lightleap) are the kits of Sparkfire and Tigerheart. Sparkfire is born around the same time as Dovewing and Ivypool were in canon, so she's around the same age as Tigerheart, maybe a little older. Dovewing obviously can't be Tigerheart's mate (rip) so I thought that Sparkfire would be a good pairing for him.

Bristlefrost and Pouncedove (Pouncestep) are the kits of Whitewing and Birchfall. I needed to give Whitewing and Birchfall some kits, and wanted them to be born around the same time canon Alderheart and Sparkpelt were so they can go on the search for Skyclan, so here they are. ALSO BIRCHFALL IS AN ABANDONDED KIT IN THE FOREST TERRITORIES NOW. HE'S ABOUT 6 MOONS OLDER NOW. HE'S NOT WHITEWINGS COUSIN NOW. HIS PARENTS AREN'T UNCLE AND NEICE NOW.

Moving on :D Ivypool gets paired with Hazeltail and they are the foster parents of Twigkit, with Lilyheart suckling. I'm still deciding which CinderLion babies to keep but even if Fernsong stays he'd be even more related to Ivypool than he already is in canon so they can't be mates.

Hawkwing the cousin fucker doesn't exist anymore. Pebblewing's (Pebbleshine's) mate was a kittypet named Shimmer and Violetshine is named after him. Also Pebblewing is now the Skyclan deputy. Hooray for women in business!

And last but definitely least, Nightmoon (Nightheart) and Finchlight (i wasn't referring to her with that opening statement I love you Finchlight) are the kits of Alderheart and Blossomfall. It was a one night stand after a gathering and Alderheart moved to Thunderclan and became a (pretty dogshit) warrior to be closer with his kits. He was eventually begged to become a Thunderclan medicine cat when Leafpool started to struggle under the demands of a growing clan (Jayfeather is the Shadowclan medicine cat btw I mentioned this in my original tree post, he moved there with Squirrelflight and so when Littlecloud died, Puddleshine never had to become a medicine cat).
