Inteligência Artificial - Nem tão bom nem tão mau como se diz

É uma máxima de bom senso que tento aplicar a tudo na vida, muito porque vivemos cada vez mais entre opiniões extremadas, com os algoritmos das redes sociais a puxar pela gravidade ou genialidade de qualquer coisa e porque as pessoas parecem não se contentar com notícias medianas.

Não é verdade que "Nada é tão bom ou tão mau como parece", sobretudo pelo "Nada", existem de facto coisas que são muito piores ou melhores do que a expectativa inicial que tínhamos delas, mas a maioria das notícias de facto é assim e a muita discussão à volta da inteligência artificial não é excepção.

Nesse sentido e focando na IA, não me parece que vamos todos morrer ou perder os empregos mas também não me parece que a IA vá salvar (não sei bem de quê) a humanidade. Não quero desenvolver a minha opinião porque não me parece que tenha nada a acrescentar de valor para além do "acho que", prefiro continuar a ouvir os outros, a aprender e formular a minha opinião, para então com essa dose de bom senso me preparar para navegar o futuro, sem medo nem excesso de optimismo.

Nas discussões que tenho tido e nos muitos conteúdos que tenho consumido, acontece algo que dificulta a minha reflexão... o uso de argumentos técnicos por quem de todo não tem conhecimento para tal. Separar as águas é bom, discutir de forma separada o que a IA é ou pode vir a ser tecnicamente e depois de que forma essa tecnologia pode alterar os comportamentos humanos e a sociedade.

Deixo duas discussões, assim bem separadas, na abordagem que fazem da IA. Have fun and enjoy the ride :)

Interesting facts about Sierra Leone

1. Sierra Leone 🇸🇱 is located in West Africa on the Atlantic coast and bordered by Guinea and Liberia.

2. The country takes its name from the Portuguese explorer Pedro de Sintra who named the country “Serra Leoa” (Lion Mountains) due to the impressive mountains he saw while sailing along the West African coast in 1462.

3. Archaeological evidence suggests Sierra Leone 🇸🇱 has been inhabited for thousands of years with successive waves of inv.aders as well as immigration from inland peoples making up today’s diverse population

4. Sierra Leone 🇸🇱 is home to 16 ethnic groups. Each group has their own language and traditional attire.

5. If there is one thing that this small nation is blessed with is its rich mineral resource. Sierra Leone 🇸🇱 is famous for its diamonds. Apart from diamonds, bauxite and titanium are also extracted on large scale. It also produces gold and rutile on a large scale.

6. Sierra Leone’s capital city, Freetown, was founded as a home for repatriated and rescued former slaves in 1787

7. English is the official language; however, Krio is the language that is understood by most of the population. Krio is a Creole language, first spoken by descendants of freed Jamaican slaves who settled in the Freetown area.

8. Sierra Leone 🇸🇱 has a simple horizontally striped green, white and blue flag. Green stands for agriculture and the mountains, white for unity and justice, and blue for the aspiration to “contribute to world peace, especially through the use of its unique natural harbour at Freetown”.

10. Freetown was home to the first institution of higher learning in modern sub-Saharan Africa after the collapse of the university at Timbuktu. Fourah Bay College opened in 1827 and at the time was the only alternative to Europe and America for British colony West Africans who wanted a university degree.

11. Sierra Leone’s “blood diamonds” helped fuel atr0cities during the w.ar. Blood diamonds, also known as conflict diamonds, were used to fund certain conflicts in Africa

12. Freetown has the largest natural harbour on the African continent. It is capable of receiving oceangoing vessels of all kinds.

Citroën Dyane 6 Coupé, 1970, by Pedro Serra Vidal. The Dyane was assembled in Vigo, Spain for the Spanish market. The Barcelona-based coachbuilder created this coupé based on the Dyane's platform which was revealed at the Barcelona Motor Show but it remained a one-off.

PTV 250 (the Spanish microcar that appeared on the car market too late)

Comapred with the austerity of the Biscutter, the PTV 250 presented itself as a more elaborate creation. In fact, its carefully designed bodywork was closer to the Goggomobil than to the segment leader. In addition, the interior space was also larger. Being able to house two to three people in the width of its continuous seat seated on the tubular steel chassis. All this with a weight of 330 kilos. With regard to mechanics, the PTV 250 had a 247cc single-cylinder of its own manufacture -AUSA- capable of delivering 13CV to reach up to 75 kilometers per hour. Quite powerful figures for the world of microcars, only being able to be compared with the Biscúter “Pegasín” bodied by Pedro Serra. Another vehicle that came to interpret the last chapter of these models in Spain, which would be overwhelmed by the appearance in 1957 of the popular and cheap SEAT 600. A small car, but at the same time a much more interesting car in all respects. aspects than the PTV 250 or the Biscúter.

De uma cidade e um amor que começou a despertar,

Lá pros anos 1970, no interior do oeste potiguar,
