Wips be upon ye again

My creative juices have been flowin so I got a whole three things to show off uvu

First Lola wip 👀 (I have half given up on this because I'm not confident in Lola's dialogue/mannerisms yet but it's also cute so who knows)

"I heard we had a newbie!" A boisterous voice sings from the left and the three turn to the doorway of the breakroom, a blonde with pink dyed tips bounds into the room with more energy than anyone else in the whole building had combined. A plastic container in her hands as she shoves past Staci and Joey to stand in front of Dean. Her grey eyes are bright and her pierced smile is breathtaking and infectious. She clutches the container to her chest with one hand and grabs Deans with the other, shaking it enthusiastically as she all but bounces in place.

"Nice to meet'cha rookie, names Lola! You can call me Darling or Your Majesty if you're feeling cute though."

Dean can't help but grin as both Staci and Joey sigh, the high energy from the woman now opening the container a nice change of pace from his slow and dull first week in the county.

"Nice to meet you, my name's–"

"Dean Sinclaire! Australian, twenty five, single, youngest of three kids, no criminal record and owner of a really shitty Jeep wrangler. I'll forgive you for the car because you were playing some bangin' tunes but you're on thin ice—Cupcake?" Lola holds out the container with a cheery smile and Deans tries not to look shaken as he reaches in and takes out a pink frosted cupcake. He knew his file would have some information on him but he had no idea who would have access to it, and he wasn't expecting anyone to list it all off in the middle of the office. Not that any of what she'd said was much of a secret, it was just unexpected.

"Tone it down Darling you're gonna freak him out—she does the background checks on newbies don't overthink it," Joey sighs, shaking her head and offering Dean a reassuring smile. He nods gently and decides to shake it off and take a bite of the cupcake and damn it was a good cupcake. Really good.

"Yeah, yeah i'm the only one tech savvy enough to do 'em, anyway interesting socials you got, don't really scream enforcer of the law if you know what I mean. Why're you here?" Lola takes a bite of a cupcake herself, watching Dean with an intense yet non-judgemental gaze that leaves him feeling unsteady. He swallows the piece of cupcake in his mouth and glances between the three deputies now staring him down, Joey and Staci seeming to want to hear his answer as well.

"Uh… I don't know how to say it without sounding cliché—I just want to help people." He offers sheepishly, suddenly having a hard time keeping eye contact.

"Plenty of other jobs that help people though, why'd you go this route? Is it the gun, it's okay if it's the gun I know you guys don't really get those easy down under." Lola raises the hand holding the cupcake to her mouth, her tone growing hushed in a conspiratorial manner as she offers a squinted, pursed lipped look his way.

"Hah—no, it's not the gun, I'm hoping I don't have to use it if i'm honest but uhm… I don't know it just, ended up this way I guess?" He shrugs gently, not prepared for this line of questioning. Which really he probably should have saw it coming, it's not like it was the one question in every cop movie ever or anything.

Lola nods slowly, humming as if she were dissecting his words in her head, ripping them apart.

"Better reason than Pratt's that's for sure, you'll do fine here. It's slow most days, holidays it tends to get a bit crazy but we'll look out for you." Joey offers another reassuring smile, matched with a welcoming pat to his shoulder. Staci scoffs under his breath, Joey quickly glaring at him to stop any complaints he had from surfacing verbally. Dean can't help but admire the interaction, it seemed like they had a good friendship—maybe in time he'd be sharing similar moments with them as a new guy walked in the door. It was a nice thought.

"You're getting paired up with me so obviously you'll be more than fine," Lola places a hand on Dean's other shoulder and he catches sight of her black acrylic nails, pink hearts dotted along them, "You're like my baby duckling now and if anyone fucks with my baby duckling I'll fuck them up with my car." Her happy tone turns serious in the blink of an eye, sincerity in every syllable and a promise that she meant it in her gaze. Oddly Dean finds the sentiment comforting instead of alarming, it was nice knowing he'd have someone so intent on having his back.

"I'm—Thank you, Lola." He smiles and she shoots a grin back, her vampire smiley piercings gleaming in the office light. She pats his cheek before stepping back and placing an extra cupcake on his desk. 'For later,' she mouths at him, pointing at it as if the other two with them couldn't see exactly what she was doing. As she's closing the plastic container the older deputy Dean had seen sitting at the front desk walks through the doors and Lola lets out an excited squeal, bounding up to the woman with glee.

"Nancy, my baby duckling is here! He doesn't have an accent but he's got the cutest little nose, do we have his uniform yet I wanna show him off—show him the ropes. I'm going to show him the ropes." Lola excitedly buzzes to the older woman, tacking on the last sentence as Sheriff Earl Whitehorse walks in behind her. Dean has to stop himself from laughing as she straightens her poster and blinks owlishly at their sheriff.

Earl shakes his head lightly as she shoots him a less than bashful grin. She tries to offer him a cupcake but he raises a brow at her and she pouts in response, mumbling something about being unappreciated as she walks off with Nancy back to what Dean could only assume was the break room.

And !! More of the jacob/dean fic from the last wip day, I know, me working on the same wip consistently? Shocking

"What did he do to you Rook?"

Staci's voice feels distant, but Dean knows he's standing in front of the cage—clinging to the bars and probably looking down on him with the same dismay in the others' faces. Their resilient resistance leader was quiet, small, tired.

"Fuck, your leg—"

They were all scared, Staci was scared. Dean wanted to reassure him, wipe his eyes and tell him he was still getting them out of here.

"I–I'll get you some bandages, hold on."

But his mind just wanted to rest, shove down every memory of ginger hair and humid nights and stupid towns and stupid dreams and stupid wishes—He wanted to rip it to shreds and destroy every trace that said that motherfucker had ever been something to him. So he laid there on the ground and he stayed quiet. He tried to scrub the images behind his eyelids away, and tried to spit that name out of his mouth. Tried to rip that feeling out of his stupid heart.

Maybe if he was lucky he'd bleed out right now and steal the satisfaction of watching him continue to struggle through Jacob's trials. He could just see the hissy fit he'd throw, tables thrown and paper flying through the air as he cast blame onto whichever chosen shot him. Wouldn't that be funny?

I have a lot of art wips so uhh, peggie!dean and Jacob chillin' while Jo gives a sermon. Giving peggie!dean an alt look entirely based on a cosplay I did and i'm not sorry

Summary: The Infamous Baptist pays Jerome a surprise visit

Jerome carefully packed one thing after another into crates, all the things he'd rather not seen destroyed if anything were to happen. Not that he was sure what was going to happen, Eden's Gate was only growing in size and getting more confident in their actions against the community. After Remiel all but stabbed him in the back he had a feeling he was pretty far up on the list of people they'd be going after. Whatever that meant or entailed.

He sighed as he leant over a crate full of books and pamphlets he would have previously handed out during sermons, he had no idea when, if ever, he'd get a chance to give them out again. It was a devastating feeling and it made him unbearably angry, almost everything had been taken from him. Everything but his church and his home. Luckily Fall's end was still holding strong, Mary May offered him a lot of support when she could and he tried his best to do the same for her and the rest of the people in town.

It was getting harder and harder to be optimistic though and it would only be so much longer until his hopeful words would start to feel like useless garble. He pushes himself off of the crate and steps over to the table at the back of the stage, just as he takes a hold of two candles the sounds of revving engines and cars pulling up outside fills the air. Jerome turns and watches the doors of the church, the light streaming in made it hard to see anything and he took cautious steps to the middle of the stage.

Then a familiar form is in his doorway and his heart drops to his stomach.

"Pastor Jerome, good morning!"

Nadine's smile is bright, their steps light as they waltz into his church. Their tone is friendly but their mere presence is the opposite. The sun shines in from behind them, casting them in a shadow as they swing their arms behind their back. If anyone else were in Jerome's shoes they'd see a charming young man come to greet them, but he knew better and their presence only sparked a heavy pit in his stomach.

"What do you want?" His question is stiff as he watches them warily. They weren't someone Jerome wanted to piss off, but he also wasn't going to be bullied by them and he really did not want them in his church.

"Maybe not so good then," Nadine laughs, brushing off his cold tone as they look back at the members of the project tailing behind them. They join their herald's laughter as Nadine turns back to smile at Jerome, the action only causing irritation to rise in the man. Nadine had a knack for acting like a school bully going around with their lackeys and doing whatever they pleased. Their slow take over of Holland Valley was only proof of that.

"Remiel wanted me to come see you, she had a feeling you'd be more open to talking to me," They say casually, as if the reason their older sister thought that wasn't because she'd stolen Jerome's people right from under him. Like she hadn't left him standing alone in his church with an ominous warning disguised as an invitation. Of course he wouldn't want to see that mad woman, he didn't particularly want to see Nadine either. They'd never sat right with him, their actions and their words never lined up and always left him uneasy. Just like right now.

"I don't want to talk to you or any other member of your family," Jerome mutters, turning away from them and walking over to another stack of crates. Nadine huffs out a laugh and he can see them spread their arms out and lean to the left as if trying to get back in his field of view.

"Don't be so cold Jerome! I thought we were becoming friends," Nadine says playfully, but it's lost on Jerome who is anything but amused. He swiftly ignores them, kneeling down and placing the candles away into the crate in aggressive movements. Neither Nadine or Remiel was any friend of Jerome. Not after everything they'd done. Not after everything they continued to do. All of it went against everything he stood for, not just as a pastor but a decent human being.

He picks up his bible and stands, glancing to the side exit of his church and pausing. He feels a chill run down his spine at the sight of more of Nadine's men, guns in hand and all eyeing him with hostility. What was blocking off the exits supposed to do? Because it most certainly didn't make him more open for a chat.

Nadine walks further into the church, one hand trailing over the wood of the benches. It felt like they were mocking him and the judging gaze they trailed over the inside of his church was nothing short of insulting. Jerome wanted this over with, whatever this was.

"We have similar goals you know, Jerome…" Nadine drawls, letting their hand fall off the benches and swing by their side lazily, "You want to help people as much as we do. We could help you with that but you need to let us," Their words are deceivingly inviting and Jerome frowns. Despite their laid back presentation at the moment Jerome wasn't fooled for a moment. Every second he denied them what they wanted they got more irate and close to snapping, he'd witnessed it before and it wasn't exactly pleasant. But he really couldn't agree with them just to avoid a confrontation, it wasn't in his nature.

"You're not helping people Nadine, you're using fear mongering to make them comply with you!" Jerome steps closer to the edge of the stage, pointing an accusatory finger down at the Baptist, "I know what you're doing to people in your bunker and I won't be apart of any of it," He snaps. He leans back as Nadine's gaze flickers with something dangerous. They adjust their jacket and as they run a hand through their hair they ease their expression into something more amiable.

"You think you know what goes on in my bunker Jerome but you're blinded by your own ideals, I'm freeing people of their sins and guilt. I'm helping them be reborn. They come to me willingly, just like you will eventually," Nadine walks further down the aisle as they speak calmly, hands gesturing broadly before coming together and motioning towards him. Jerome almost laughs at the ridiculousness of it all, he couldn't believe how convinced they seemed to be about what they were saying. They were so sure they were in the right.

"I can assure you, that is not going to happen," Jerome says flatly, keeping his head high as he looks down at Nadine. They shake their head in frustration and run a hand over their mouth, keeping their hand up and lightly shaking it as they begin to speak again.

"Why do you fight us? What do you gain from refusing us so adamantly? The world is going to end Jerome, neither of us can stop it," Nadine steps forward, expression determined if not manic as they look up at him, "why spend the last of it wallowing in filth when you can begin building your new life? If you would just say yes—"

"For the last time. No." Jerome's words are firm and booming as he cuts Nadine off. His gaze is fierce but his hands shake as they hold onto his bible like it was a life line. Like it was the only thing giving him the strength to stand his ground before the herald in front of him. The very unimpressed herald at that. Nadine purses their lips for a moment, turning their head to the side with an expression of a man who had just been slapped in the face. Then they smile and nod, chuckling as they lift their hands up before letting them fall to their sides and slip into their coat pockets.

"I will advise you to reconsider pastor," Nadine hums lowly, brown eyes eerily illuminated by the light streaming in through the high window. It's a threat. Clear as day. The shadow drenching their figure is imposing and their gaze is all that much sharper. The figures now crowding the church doorway do nothing to ease Jerome's rising nervousness. He has a feeling their advice was more an order, not one he had any wish or plan to comply with.

With one last charming smile Nadine turns and walks back down the aisle, their coat giving the illusion of black wings as they disappear into the morning light. Jerome feels sick to his stomach and his weak knees carry him clumsily to one of the benches. He falls onto the bench and buries his face in his hands, hunched over his knees as he breathes in deep, steady breaths. The engines once again roar to life outside and even as he hears the cars driving off he feels shaken and unsafe.

He knew Nadine would be coming for him sooner or later, the Baptist was never sated and always over eager to pull confessions from the weak willed. It left a bitter taste in Jerome's mouth, first they took his people and now they were coming for him. He had no idea what he was going to do.

But he wasn't going to take it lying down. If Nadine wanted him, they'd have to take him fighting.

Not quite a wishlist but some ideas for muses/characters I'd love to throw my girls at that I haven't done before/it's been a long time. If you see any of these and think "oh I have that muse and would love to go for that" drop me a DM.

ALEXIS ROSE

Any Supernatural muses. Would love more TFW interactions, with the boys or with her dad, Cas. Would also love to write her being a big sis to Jack. Also open to OCs too, throw your hunters and supernatural being as Alexis.

ARIANNA YANNA

Modern verses for Merlin muses maybe, could be reincarnation or brought back to life (like Arianna). Would also love more knights to write with, whether canon or oc.

CHARLIE HARGREEVES

Always just all the Hargreeves siblings, I love family threads (this also includes Lila too). Would also kind of love a Luther or Diego to write with, I don't get to write with them often enough.

CHRISSIE CONNORS

Uncharted muses, I haven't have much of a chance to actually write her in a proper Uncharted verse. Would love to write with any of the Drakes (especially Sam), Sully, Elena, Chloe or Nadine. Just throw anyone at me. (Same goes for Uncharted OCs too).

ILIDARIA ROSEBUD

Dungeons and Dragons muses in general, can be original characters, from Critical Role (I've never watched it but know of the characters), Baldur's Gate 3 (I've played a little of Act 1 with Ilidaria) or from the newer movie. Just let my girl go on adventures and make friends.

KIMIKO

Just more One Piece muses in general, especially more Strawhats (I haven't written at all with Usopp, Franky, Brook or Jimbe yet). Also would love other characters too, just anyone you wanna throw at her (would kind of love a Bepo because Kimiko would befriend him straight away). OCs too!

KYOKO MISAKA

Just any Bleach muses. I haven't written her really at all yet. So any muses canons or OCs would be really awesome.

LUCY BOONE

As much as I would love Dark Matter canon muses, I know it's kind of an obscure show so I know they probably aren't really out there. So just give me some good sci-fi stuff. Or I would love to write her Zombie AU verse as a Last of Us verse with some Last of Us muses (can be show or game based, I love both)

MAGGIE ROGERS

Just more Marvel muses, would love a Torres to write with or just more new Team Cap shenanigans. Or family threads with Sharon, Steve and Peggy. I love this universe a lot but here's a few of my faves that I'd love to throw Maggie at too - Matt Murdock/Daredevil with added Foggy & Karen, any of the Guardians, Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel, Yelena Belova or just any of the Thunderbolts.
