Sneek a Peek – We’re on a path to a BEST SELLER
Happiness Hacks has been a pet project for YEARS.  We realized we had posted a lot of simple quick ways to increase feel-good neurochemistry.  Our goal has always been to share all the information we have on mental, emotional and physical well-being (not to mention amuse ourselves). We had a brrrrrrriliant idea!  Compile all the information in a book and amuse ourselves by drawing pictures.  …

Stucky Playlist Part IV
Part IV: Captain America: The Winter Soldier
Loosely follows the plot of Winter Soldier. I always think of “Field This Side of Heaven” and “Touch of Grey” as Steve & Peggy songs-- missed chances and love that survives old age and distance. “Hitman”-”Have You Ever Seen the Rain” deal with Nick Fury’s “death”. “Rattlesnake” reminds me of Alexander Pierce, and “Murder by Numbers”, Project Insight. “Born to Run” through “Help” refer to Steve and Natasha’s time on the lam, while Sam offers “Shelter from the Storm”, followed by “Trouble Man”. Other than that, it’s all Steve/Bucky angst.
Please let me know what you think!

If you’ve read any posts on MAXyourMIND you know the blog was inspired by and is dedicated to Peggy’s cat Maui who lived to show the brain CAN be rewired and healing IS possible.
After losing the use of his back legs Maui didn’t need a physical therapist, a coach, or a professional of any kind. He had his own reasons to use his back legs again and he just kept at it. Peggy wrote and illustrated…

Your PERSONAL Sneek Peek at The Making of The Frog Princess
We blog for many reasons.  Chief among them is to keep ourselves amused in our advanced years.   We’ll let you figure out the other reasons. Judy amuses herself by writing silly stories and “pomes”, loses interest and moves on to her next project. Peggy is more cerebral (and organized).  She amuses herself by rescuing Judy’s abandoned projects and massaging them into REAL books. Peggy is now in…

“G’day folks, Today, I interview a multi-talented author from California. Welcome, Peggy …”  Hearing Clancy Turner describe me as multi-talented was both flattering and confusing. I think of myself as a grandmom, a mother, a retired psychotherapist, a blogger . . . not an author.  I wrote one book, “The Pulling, Climbing, Falling Down Tale of Maui and His Back Legs”, a true story about Maui my…

ABSTRACTE in PEK

Why I've not posted on "Curious" for awhile.
Why I’ve not posted on “Curious” for awhile.
Several months ago my good friend Peggy Arndt, who is also a retired psychotherapist, suggested we collaborate on blogging the tips, tools and techniques for health, happiness and well-being we have accumulated over our combined 60+ years of experience.
As that was my original intent when I started this CURIOUS blog I agreed . . . on the condition that CATNIPblog also amused me.
Self-help tips,…

Stucky Playlist Part II
Part II: Boys at War
Starts with Steve and Bucky leaving for war, Bucky imprisoned, and the rescue of the prisoners at Azzano. ‘’World Where You Live” through “I’m Fine” address Bucky’s feelings about Steve, Peggy, and the aftermath of Azzano. Most of the songs on here are just about war in general, soldiers, etc. “I’ll Be Seeing You”, “Kiss Me Goodnight, Sergeant Major”, and “All You Fascists Bound to Lose” are all from the ‘40s. Ends with Bucky’s fall from the train (”Last Train to Glory”) and Steve mourning him/Steve’s “death”.
