Highlight of my Student Teaching Experience so far:

(Percy Jackson fans, read this)

I am a Music Education major and i'm currently doing my student teaching in a Middle/ High School. I was telling 3 of the middle school boys that they were getting a new piece in band that day, Horkstow Grange by Percy Grainger, and the one student jokingly goes "Percy Grainger? Is that Percy Jackson's cousin?"

Then, that student and the other two started making other joking comments like "Does he have a brother that's a Cyclops?" DEFINITELY trying to be little shits and see if they could confuse me.

It was so freaking funny 😂 These kids were trying to confuse me, and i'm standing there with a freaking trident tattooed behind my ear because of this series.

whats ur favorite book youve read so far this year !! ive been keeping up with ur list for a hot minute and im endlessly jealous of how quickly you can get through books lol

ohhhh that’s a great question! 

re-reads: if we were villains, red white & royal blue, little women, since you’ve been gone & the hunger games series, the unexpected everything

new books: a good girl’s guide to murder, american royals, tweet cute, out of left field, the raven cycle, all for the game, break the fall, the starless sea, percy jackson and the olympins series, the seven husbands of evelyn hugo

but i’ve really enjoyed pretty much all of the books i’ve read this year! lol i have always read insanely fast, plus my sleeping schedule has been SO MESSED UP because of quarantine so i’ve been doing a lot of extra reading
