As the conversation continued, Y/N finished up her shopping and headed towards the checkout counter. They discussed their plans, making sure everything was set for the much-anticipated sleepover. The excitement in their voices was contagious, causing Y/N's anticipation to grow with every passing minute.

Later that evening, Y/N arrived at Cassie's house with a bagful of board games and snacks. The door opened, revealing a beaming Cassie, already wearing her favorite pair of cozy pajamas.

"Y/N, you made it!" Cassie exclaimed, pulling her friend into a warm hug. "Maddy and Kat are in the living room!"

Soon enough they had all gathered in her cozy living room, filled with blankets and pillows, ready for a night of laughter and adventure.

"Truth." Y/n replied.

After his separation with Carola almost two years ago, Checo thought that at 33 he would not be with anyone again. Who would want to be with a divorced man with two little children?

Actually, deep in the back of his mind, Checo knew who was the first person that came to his mind when he thought of a relationship.

You had come to Formula 1 two years ago, in the 2020 season, to join the Williams team. You seemed like a ray of light to Checo, always walking around the Paddock with your pretty smile.

He had two young children to take care of and even if you reciprocated his feelings, he could not burden you with the responsibility of raising children that weren’t yours.

He got out of the car parked in the first place, celebrating as he got out and running to his team and the mechanics, who were waiting with open arms to congratulate him. Once his name was announced, Checo stepped onto the corresponding step with the number one indicating his victory and proudly received the trophy. Between the screams and the emotion, while he listened to his country's anthem, Checo turned his head to one side, envisioning a scene that took his breath away for a few seconds. With the hustle and bustle he hadn't even been able to see you, but now he could. You were right there, a little apart from all the crowd of people. When he was able to get off the podium, he didn't wait a second before going to where you were waiting for him with his children. They ran towards him as soon as they saw his father arrive next to you, hugging him with emotion and talking about the race and how much fun they had had. Checo hear them talk, but he couldn't stop himself from looking at you. You were still in front of him looking at him with a smile that kept all the love in the world. He approached you until you were almost stuck and before he could say anything you wrapped him in a strong hug.

“Congratulations on the victory. You deserve it a lot, Checo” you told him. He hugged you even more tightly. You did not separate until two more pairs of arms encircled your legs. You looked to see the little ones looking at the two of you as they laughed and you reluctantly parted.

Checo had almost forgotten that he was going to confess, but the idea came back to him when you laughed with his two children.

“y/n, I need to ask you one thing. Or rather tell you something” he was going to do it. It was now or never.

"Yes of course, is there a problem?" you asked confused.

"No no, don't worry. Just…” Checo took a breath. He was a grown man, he shouldn't be nervous about something like this. “I really like you a lot and I think you are an amazing woman. And I'd like to know if you'd be interested in going out one day."

“Like on a date?” The question was a bit silly of you, but you were nervous about the Mexican's confession.

“Yes, but it's just an idea, it's okay if you don't want to…” Checo began to ramble.

"Checo" you stopped him. You smiled a little embarrassed. “I like you a lot too, and I would love to go on a date with you”

Checo smiled like a lovesick teenager and he couldn't help but move closer to you and leave a quick peck on your lips. You heard gross sounds coming from the two little ones next to you and you all ended up laughing. Checo really couldn't wait to see what your relationship had in store for him from now on.
