I've recently been reading a lot of Wade/Peter fics, so I thought I'd share some of my favourites with you! Please remember to check the tags before reading <3

Any resolve he may have had earlier about revealing his superpowered persona had melted away, his plans going awry within seconds. "

Or Peter is madly in love with Wade, and plans to meet him on top of his apartment building to reveal his identity. Wade thinks Peter is standing on the ledge ready to jump, and takes it upon himself to make sure he gets home safe and finds a reason to live again.

Unfortunately, things start to get sticky when Deadpool, who Spider-Man's been on-again off-again with (okay, yeah, lowkey messing around with), crashes into Peter's life and demands the photographer help him figure out what's got his favorite webhead so spooked.

Peter's life is really weird.

There’s a weird familiarity about the kid's tone and posture, and it’s true that Wade is pretty far from home today but he’s also certain he’d remember that baby-face if he’d seen it before. Go with it.]][Don’t make an ass of yourself.]“Shaddup,” Wade grumbles, though Yellow has a point...

OR Peter thinks Wade knows his secret identity, and Wade is really confused by the hot coed who keeps popping up and hanging out with him.

Peter Parker finds himself in a sticky situation and who should show up to rescue him but the infamous Deadpool? Now Peter feels indebted to the mercenary... And maybe weirdly charmed by him.

My Boyfriend's a Murder Bot by Fredegund (55k)

Wade Winston Wilson is ugly. His skin's inside out. It ripples and moves every second of every day, at constant war with the cancer. Vanessa put on a brave face for him when she first saw the changes, but it turns out even she can't stomach the sight for long. He's ugly and alone and nothing will ever be good in life again -

If only that were his only problem.

But Weapon X is at it again, under crisp new management, turning orphans into super slaves and bringing out the big guns to make sure nobody interferes this go around (namely one Pool comma Dead). So now, not only is Wade alone and ugly forever, but he's got a bit of a pest problem in the form of a black-clad murder-happy man spider with a collar around his neck and an unhealthy obsession with tying Deadpool up.

So maybe it's not all bad...

He sighs from where he’s prone, arms akimbo, and roof gravel digging into his spine. “I lost my job. My… other job. The one that actually pays the bills.”

He doesn’t want to dwell on why he’s telling Deadpool of all people. Surely it has nothing to do with his desperate lack of friends. MJ is in California chasing her dreams, Harry’s undergoing treatment for his mental health and isn’t allowed visitors (not that it matters since they blacklisted Peter after last time), and Gwen… Well.

And it’s not like he can talk to Aunt May without her worrying about him starving to death under a bridge or something so… Deadpool it is. Man, when did his life get this pathetic?

OR: The one where Peter and Wade are literal soulmates but don't realize it for literal years because they're literal idiots.

Wherein Deadpool is reluctantly hired to protect Peter Parker from an organization out to hunt him, with varying success on both ends and quite a lot of feelings, revelations, and identity crises.

Travelers who have reached Adventure Rank 10 or above can participate in this event.

〓Event Description〓

During the event, you can log in to Genshin Impact daily, complete Daily Commissions, consume Original Resin, and complete other missions to obtain Stamina.

Stamina can be used to unlock different minimized landscapes, which can be accessed to let you take pictures of varied Sights.

Accumulate photos of Sights to obtain Primogems and other rewards.

〓Gain Stamina〓

Travelers can obtain Stamina through the following methods:

1. Complete the following actions in Genshin Impact every day including: log into Genshin Impact every day and consume 40 Original Resin daily.

2. Complete the following actions on the website such as: logging into the web event daily, etc.

3. Daily missions refresh daily at 04:00 server time.

*Stamina needs to be collected manually in the event page. Stamina that have not been collected will also be reset when daily missions are refreshed the next day. So, remember to collect them!

*If Travelers try to visit the event around 04:00 daily (Server Time), which is when the daily missions refresh, there might be a brief network error. Please refresh your page if you encounter such a situation.

〓Take Photos of Sights〓

1. After minimizing the landscape, Travelers can seek out Sights in the shrunken scenery and take their photos. The leftmost notice bar in the gameplay interface will show you which Sights need to be photographed while the rightmost controls can allow you to adjust how zoomed in or out you want the landscape to be.

2. After finding a Sight, you must take a photo of it as soon as you can. Travelers can manipulate the focusing controls to find the most appropriate distance for a photo. Certain Sights can only appear at the appropriate distances! Accumulate photos of Sights to obtain Primogems and other rewards.

3. Sights can be photographed multiple times but the album will only store the latest photo~

*If you exit photo-taking in the middle of the process, you can click the Sight or the leftmost notice bar to enter the photography page.

〓Event Rewards〓

- Sight Photography Rewards -

After accumulating 1, 3, 6, 9, 12, and 15 photos of Sights, Travelers can collect the corresponding rewards. The rewards include: Primogems ×120, Mystic Enhancement Ore ×8, Hero's Wit ×9, Mora ×60,000, and Sanctifying Unction ×3.

*The in-game rewards will be distributed via in-game mail. The mail will expire after 30 days, so don't forget to claim the rewards in time.

Trapdoor spiders are unlike other spiders; instead of a web, they make a trapdoor on top of a burrow. These spiders spend most of their life underground. Their burrows are cork-like and made of soil, vegetation, and silk. Once the tunnel has been made, it is reinforced with a coating of a mixture of earth and saliva. The burrow is finished off with one hinged door made of silk. By using earth and natural materials, the burrows are well camouflaged.

Trapdoor spiders wait for prey while holding onto the underside of the door. When a victim, such as an insect or other arthropod, gets too close to the half-open trapdoor at night, the spider will detect its prey by vibrations. If the prey gets too close, the spider jumps out of its burrow and captures it. These spiders’ size ranges from approximately 1 – 2 inches long. Their burrows’ size is around 12 inches deep and 2 inches across.

The burrow has been a great place to live for these spiders, considering it provides protection from the elements and predators. They start making their burrows from birth on. Their relatively long life is 5 – 20 years. This is not bad considering how house spiders live only 1 – 2 years.

Trapdoor spiders love to eat insects, frogs, baby birds, baby snakes, and mice. Like Dracula, trapdoor spiders have their own set of enemies: wasps, scorpions, and people. If you’re lucky to see their burrow, keep your distance. This spider is normally shy but turns aggressive if harassed. It will stand up and show its fangs and/or chase you. Although the spider’s bite is usually nontoxic to humans, it can be very painful.

Raytheon guarantees request for prototype of new electronic war system

The United States Navy granted Raytheon an $80 million contract in a selection to create an Advanced Electronic Warfare prototype, or ADVEW, for the F/A-18E/F Super Hornet.

This prototype will be considered as a replacement for the existing integrated defensive electronic countermeasure AN/ALQ-214 and the AN/ALR-67(V)3 radar alert receiver with a consolidated solution that will provide superior electronic warfare capabilities to the backbone of the embedded aerial wing of North American aircraft carriers.

"These advances are paving the way for the next generation of electronic warfare," said Bryan Rosselli, president of Products and Advanced Solutions at Raytheon. "We are completely replacing and consolidating legacy systems into a single solution that will provide a generational upgrade to electronic warfare capability throughout the life of the Super Hornet."

Raytheon's Advanced Electronic Warfare offering will provide significant performance upgrades, modernizing existing electronic warfare systems in fewer components and incorporating a government-defined open architecture. The development of this new solution will align and integrate with other combat-proven radio frequency sensors and effectors, used by the Super Hornet. The ADVEW solution will ensure that F/A-18E/F maintain their operational advantage in electronic warfare, while significantly improving the ability to survive against advanced and complex threats.

The development and testing of ADVEW will take place mainly in Goleta, California. During the prototype phase, the system will undergo a preliminary design review, a critical design review and flight tests over a period of 36 months.

you mentioned you were indie sleaze, can you talk more about that scene from the 2000's? i want to get into the scene but don't really know where to start and i don't trust tiktok lol.

omg of course. so to preface this i wanna say that there is a natural emo to indie pipeline that existed from around 2006-2008 and i was fully a part of that pipeline. there's a lot of crossover especially as emo evolved into scene and as scene evolved into party scene into indie sleaze. musicians like shiny toy guns, dev, cobra starship, amanda blank, hyper crush, etc were all like natural transitional bands that held little emo hands as they transitioned into indie sleaze. for instance, does he look familiar? well, he's the dear boy from sugar we're going down.

indie sleaze was a mixture of nihilism and hedonism, a general mindset of nothing fucking matters let's destroy ourselves and fucking party. it was like this huge embrace of self-destruction and effacement, but also like a huge embrace for being young and saying fuck it and partying your face off. it glorified the unpolished, ripped stockings and hazy drunk eyes, hair plastered across your face with sweat, smudged makeup, looking like you've made out with everyone in your path and you probably have. it was body paint and underground hipsters and red bull chasers and ketamine bumps and perfect cocktails of pills. it was a bunch of jaded young people rejecting 9-5's and blending the party culture of raves with the rock and roll underground of sleazy clubs in nyc. there's a good documentary on this that follows some of the most notable bands in the nyc scene called "meet me in the bathroom" and it's available on showtime right now. they were the "new" club kid. there was a notable genre exchange, it was super eclectic sonically, ranging from techno and electronica to twangy bass riffs and dirty guitars to more folksy or preppy sounds (you'll see more prep aesthetics leak in particularly towards the latter half as indie sleaze evolved into millennial indie in the late 2000's and early 2010's, like vampire weekend, metronomy, two door cinema club, and chester french). aesthetically, flash photography became huge, rejecting the gloss of the mainstream. decade clashing was huge, drawing inspo from 70's vintage athletic wear, sleek 60's mod, 80's punk, vintage shopping was huge, neon and bright colors and american apparel basics, ironic t-shirts were huge, actually irony laid into the aesthetics and sound HEAVY, because irony indicated you didn't care but you were still fun.

photographers like the cobra snake super well documented the scene and all its most notable scenesters, and misshapes would throw these massive celebrity scattered parties with all the who's-who of musicians. they're two really good places to look into what and who and why and how. you might also want to look into kitsune maison compilations, urban outfitters playlists via the web archive, and ed banger records. soundtracks for shows like gossip girl, skins, and misfits were literally soooooooo influential to me as well.

perhaps the prime examples of what the scene looked like and what parties looked like:

my favorite musicians at the time were mgmt, metronomy, css, crystal castles, uffie, lcd soundsystem, yeah yeah yeahs, young love, the rapture, hot chip, girls, electric six, bloc party, bright eyes, the virgins, the teenagers, peaches, friendly fires, gorillaz, the xx, franz ferdinand, neon indian and kenna. i do actually have a musical archive @sleazeandscum where i just post songs every once in awhile from the time period. i hope this helps and ty for this question lol it was literally SUCH a formative period in my life and also the beginning of my time as a blogger.

Sims photos needed for an Exhibition!

As I said in Chapter 35 of my story Something About us, there will be a Photo Exhibition and I'll have use for other simmers' pictures too :) NOW is the time to send me those pictures! I'm not giving a deadline yet because everything will take me forever anyway (so you’ll have plenty of time!). I'll give a warning when I have a deadline. The pictures may or may not be seen in Chapters 39 and 40 ;)

Think of something artsy, maybe surrealism, maybe photo journalism. This is a Museum of Modern Arts after all, so almost any style goes! (Search the web for “modern photography“ or something if you’re still unsure ;))

By photos I mean pictures taken in TS2/TS3/TS4

You don’t need to have a photographer sim to send photos!

I’ll take 1-3 pictures per artist/simmer

No need to edit the pictures (crop, resize etc.) I’ll do what’s needed :)

Upload them on SFS, imgur or Google drive or similar and share a link with me (or send them via Discord)

I'll probably create a new mesh (or two) to use and I’d love to share it, including all the photos I receive as swatches :)

clowning 101 : how cpns work ( short version )

let’s do a little exercise to illustrate a point about cpns/sugars and how these things work. this is based on my personal experience in the fandom and what i find is the best way to handle them. first things first, not all cpns are there to prove a romantic relationship. tho that is implied, it’s often a proof of their connection and because of that why they work so well together as a pair.

Now time for the exercise :

A CPN going around today is another incidence of same/similar shoes. WYB wore one for his Bottled Joy Ad and GG while filming his new drama. The brand is one of those streetwear ones — Starwalk Soldier. They have a store in Shanghai and if you look at their Weibo or Instagram — you’ll see that there are other c-ent celebrities who were photographed wearing shoes from the same brand. So it’s not as niche as the other wardrobe CPNs we have. We’re not sure when the Bottled Joy Ad was filmed, but their Weibo account posted WYB wore their brand 10/8. Then today, GG was photographed with the opposite design of that shoe ( yes I know, one should be all white to be the opposite but it’s another take on it. ) Now that we have the facts let’s go to the next step.

As a turtles, this can go in different ways:

1. You can dismiss it. Walk away. Oh. same/similar ones again? sure. Nothing new. They have the same style and look more and more alike each day. Bye.

2. Probably their stylist’s choice. It’s a coincidence that it’s from the same line and one choice b&w while the other all black.

3. This is true CPN. What are the chances that ZZ would wear it the day after the brand posts about WYB wearing it. Also people have already CPN’d another same/similar shoe recently so ZZ must be paying attention and decided to clown us. This may be another example of one of them buying a “pair” so they can have couple shoes.

4. Add number 3 + The imagery is appealing to them because of the Star. An image that is both special to them and the fandom. Also it looks like a shooting star, similar to the one in WYB’s racing suit which we CPN ( my god not even cpn, we have video that GG said he will design a suit for him ; but we still gotta label it properly ) GG designed. So maybe that’s why one of them picked it.

5. Nah. This not for me. Not everything is CPN.

All of the above ( and more if your reaction is a combination of the numbers ) are correct reactions. There is no right or wrong answer. The ones who believe it don’t need to convince the other. If you don’t buy it— you don’t need to force yourself or feel bad about it either. That’s the fun in CPN. This is why it’s such a popular part of fandom and the fact that we have so many for people to discover is an exciting activity too.

Next example is Sailor Moon. 🌙 since WYB is promoting it via Shu Uemura’s collection. This is not the first time we CPN’d a collectiom from SU, Web did one featuring One Piece before and that has a stronger CPN theme to it.

It’s an example of a CPN that is about similarities and connections. ZZ loved this cartoon when he was a child and said he would go home and watch it instead of do what other boys his age did. In today’s Let’s chat episode WYB also recognized it, which means he knows it. And well, he is Sailor Mercury after all —

You can go deeper and say that these two are not ashamed to say out loud that this show which is considered “girly” is something they like. They both were never really afraid to be associated with feminine things.

Lastly is WYB’s pose in today’s GQ photoshoot materials.

You can CPN this as much as you want and add in some backstory but it’s CPN already with how the photos “match”. Sometimes, it’s as simple as that.

What I just find harmful is when people say it’s REAL and forget to label things. Or ones who say they “know” what’s going on based on their friends/sources who are close to the boys. Lol. No. “sources” are sisheng accounts who follow the boys and invade their privacy. Random posts on weibo too about hearsays and so on. Second/Third/Fourth hand information. None of these accounts are in ZZ/WYB’s inner circle.

The point is, CPN/Candies is a part of fandom that should be enjoyed. Don’t get stuck in frustration when things don’t affect you as much as the others. Worse, try and make so/os and non believers buy into it. Or think about what so/os would say about certain candies. It’s for turtles only. It’s made and written for us and not anyone else. 💛
