If you're just tuning in, this is a canon-divergent take on Season 5 with a Robin Hood twist focusing on the Best Friend Squad (Catradora and Glimbow).

Where we are currently is Catra is chipped but her chip is only intermittently activated so she's hiding dozens of secrets from Prime, playing keepaway in her own mind. This plan requires her to never think about anything important ever... an already near-impossible situation sorely tested by the fact that she and Adora reunited for the first time in two years earlier today and kissed. And how exactly is she not supposed to think about that?

Meanwhile Glimmer's magic is corrupted by Prime tech, Adora and Bow are leading a group of outlaws rob from the rich and give to the poor and Prime's trying to become a god.

Spuffy ehh I could go for Spike x Buffy x Faith only in the context of Spike and Faith are platonic Faith is a lesbian edit: oh and I could get on board with Buffy x Spike x Angel. I have read a couple fics (I could only find BA tolerable if either Spike or Cordelia was involved ot3 wise Cordelia would be better)

Fuffy I have two Ot3’s with them I actively love and they’re Buffy x Faith x Willow and Faith x Buffy x Tara the former has so many layers to it I’m obsessed with the way it’s played as a little like a love triangle on all sides in late s3, I’m a Faith x Willow truther i love the way their arcs parallel each other and they have a fun antagonistic chemistry (I was also all about Glitra on Spop and their dynamic is very similar so lmao ) and while it’s not as high as other dynamics on my buffyverse femslash list I have grown to quite like Buffy x Willow and find it interesting romantically especially circa s3 (I never felt that way about Adora and Glimmer though I was solely there for Catradora and Glitra Glitra slightly more than Catradora at a certain point but only slightly. And truth be told a lot of that is because I see both those dynamics as analogous to their Btvs counterparts but as much as I love Catradora it isn’t Fuffy / doesn’t hold a candle to my love for them while Glitra canon development and arc actually nailed my ideal Willow x Faith dynamic I would have liked to see if later seasons were as interested in it as I was so it was like a little treat just for me…anyway off topic). Basically a lot of messy fun to be had with that ot3 meanwhile I think Tara x Buffy x Faith would compliment each other really well like I love Buffy x Tara they’re so lovely together my best girls and Tara and Faith have interesting parallels both being from abusive family situations being lesbians being othered for different reasons, Tara is so non judgemental which is why she gets along with Anya and Spike so well and that could be really lovely for Faith and Tara liked gutsy women too . I think Tara as a third part of that relationship would really help along the aspect of Fuffy post series where they’d have to put in a lot of work to have a romantic relationship and trust after the events of canon so. I just think it’s a great idea. I would also be very here for a slayers4slayers4slayers pairing in Buffy x Faith x Kendra. I’m sure I wouldn’t be opposed to other Fuffy f/f/f Ot3’s either

Glimmer’s eyes flew open.

She was in her room, in Bright Moon, currently acting as Bow’s teddy bear. Everything was fine. She looked at Bow’s perfectly peaceful face, and smiled. Everything was fine.

She teleported out of Bow’s arms.

It had been six months since the end of the war. Being queen post-war was rough, but being queen in a time of peace had its perks. Like getting a full night’s sleep. Usually.

She appeared at the top of a tower - the highest tower in Bright Moon, only reachable by two kinds of people - a teleporter, and a magicat with a love for heights and stubbornness rivaled by no one.

Catra was up there tonight, of course. Glimmer stepped closer and sat down, resting her back against Catra’s. They sat like this a lot, mirroring their positions on Prime’s ship. It brought them both some comfort.

“I’m sorry,” Glimmer said after a moment. Catra tilted her head slightly; Glimmer could practically hear the way her ear twitched, the way it always did when she was curious.

“For what? Eating the last cupcake? I’ll get over it.”

Glimmer rolled her eyes. “No. I’ll never be sorry for eating the last dessert, you know that. No, um... you remember before the portal?” She felt Catra flinch. “When Shadow Weaver was using me for power... she hurt you. I let her hurt you.”

“She fucked us both over, Sparkles. It was kind of her thing.”

“She was torturing you, though.” Glimmer’s voice was strained. “I know we were on different sides, but that was... she shouldn’t have done that. I shouldn’t have let her do it.”

“And I shouldn’t have let her get in my head or pulled the lever. I think I know which of us is worse.”

“I’m not playing that game,” Glimmer informed her sternly. Catra had a bad habit of comparing actions and reminding them that she was always the worse one. Perfuma had been gently trying to discourage it.

“But it’s the only game I always win.”

Glimmer leaned back on her, nudging her back with her elbow. “I know you did bad things. But you’re not the only one. We’re all supposed to be taking responsibility for our actions, right? I’m sorry I let Shadow Weaver use my power to torture you. Ah!” She cut Catra off before Catra could start to say anything else. “You can apologize for something else some other time. You need to learn to start being the one who’s apologized to as well.”

“So wise,” Catra joked, nudging Glimmer, who grinned in return.

“Of course I’m wise, I’m the queen. And as the queen.... I declare we raid the kitchen to see if there are any extra cupcakes.”

“Done.”

They stood together, Catra taking Glimmer’s hand, and disappeared from the tower with the air just a little lighter between them.

there’s someone in the palace who leaves flowers at the foot of angella’s memorial every sunday morning before the rest of the castle wakes. they’re her  favorites. meticulously cut, stripped of their thorns, and bound in neat bouquets that slowly begin to collect at the foot of her statue. 

glimmer wants to think nothing of it. it could be the work of any number of people in bright moon. but the reverence feels heavy with something glimmer can’t quite place, and she wonders who in etheria would perform such a sad ritual at a time where no one can see. so she takes her morning tea on her window sill well before the sun rises, and finally catches a dark figure crossing the gardens with another offering in hand. 

when glimmer sees that it’s catra, she instantly recognizes the solemnity of the gestures for what they are. 

guilt. 

catra sits at the base of her mother’s statue, tail curled around herself and shoulders hunched. when glimmer sits down next to her, she flinches only for a second but otherwise keeps quiet eyes fixed on the placard that bow and adora helped glimmer write. had she not seen catra at her lowest as they sat together in the dark halls of horde prime’s ship, glimmer wouldn’t have believed catra to ever be so silent. but pieces fall together in glimmer’s mind as she watches catra’s hands shake, and she doesn’t want to know what kind of torment they’re trying to hold in. 

“adora told me what flowers she liked,” catra finally says. “they’re hard to find, so i hope i picked the right ones.” 

“you did,” glimmer smiles. “she always liked keeping them by her bedside,  especially after dad had disappeared. she said they helped her feel at peace.” 

catra chews on the knuckle of her thumb, her voice so soft glimmer almost misses it over the sound of the wind. “what was she like?” 

glimmer looks up at her mom’s stone-carved face, a painful hole that will likely always live in her chest slowly growing wider. “strong. loving. super over-protective. but it’s because she wanted to keep everyone she loved safe. she was always furious with me whenever i did something reckless. she didn’t want to needlessly lose anyone else.” 

she’s had a speech planned for catra for months. a speech meant to hurt. a speech blaming her for everything -- her grief, her loneliness, her insecurities, her anger, and her weakness. it’s at the tip of her tongue but glimmer doesn’t have the heart to share it. catra’s own blame is heavy and glimmer feels it pressing on her shoulders just by sitting near. 

“i wasn’t thinking,” catra whispers. “i would’ve rather seen the world burn than admit i didn’t make the right choice. i wasn’t thinking at all, i just didn’t think and the portal got so out of hand i --”

glimmer grabs her quivering shoulders, thinking of what feels right to say. “hey, hey. you helped save so many lives. mine included. that’s important. what you did after is important.” 

catra shakes her head. “it’s not enough. i don’t know when it will be, but it isn’t yet. i just feel so stupid and i’m...” she grabs her head and hides her face in her lap. “i’m so sorry. i’m so so sorry. i didn’t think. i didn’t think of you.” 

it doesn’t seem like catra is talking to glimmer anymore, so she doesn’t offer a hug. she knows how meaningful company can be, so she sits with catra through her tears, through her shame, and through her burden. glimmer is too tired to think of how she should be feeling now or whether this particular apology is one she can accept. all she knows is that anger and resentment feel so heavy nowadays, and it’s easier to be still and remember. remember the good. remember the bad. remember the capacity to grow and be better. 

“it’s okay catra,” glimmer finally says. “i know.”
