Unwelcome Visitor
Summary: Raven gets an unexpected visitor from an enemy. And it’s one that she knows very well. Damian Al Ghul.
AN: HAPPY FREAKING DAMIRAE WEEK!!!! Eeeppp!!! Hope you guys will love this cuz it’s a bit uhhhh steamy ha!
It wasn’t the pounding of the rain that was on her roof of her apartment that had woken the sleeping empath. Nor was it the clap of thunder that came a few seconds later, brightening up her room briefly before it had gone dark again.
None of these things would’ve woken her up from her sleep.
No. It was a familiar wave of emotions that had disturbed her.
Raven laid still in her purple covers as she tried to figure out a plan of action. Her lavender eyes looked at her Titans Communicator that was lying on top of her dresser. She thought about grabbing it and make a call but knew that by the time the others would arrive he would’ve been long gone.
Maybe this is her chance to finally get some answers. There has to be a reason why he had come to her apartment. She took a deep breath and without moving from her bed she finally spoke. “What are you doing here?”
“Well, hello to you too, Raven.”
Raven sat up in her bed and narrowed her eyes when Damian Al Ghul came out from the dark corner of her room wearing his full gold and green armor from the League of Assassins. He held a smirk when he walked over to lean against the wall of her window as his eyes scanned across her room. “Nice apartment,” he commented, his smirk never leaving his face when he turned to look at her.
“What are you doing here, Damian?” Raven repeated, folding her arms across her chest.
“Can’t I visit an old friend?” he asked, scoffing at her question with a shake of his head.
“We’re not friends.” Raven reminded him, grounding her teeth together as she balled her sheets with her hand tightly. “Our friendship ended the moment you left to join the League.”
Damian made a Tt sound at her. His forest orbs looked around her apartment once more. “What made you move out of that Tower? Did you finally had enough of the insufferable Garfield Logan?”
“Tell me why you are here. Or I will send you to another dimension,” Raven threatened, taking deep breaths as she could feel her magic growing inside of her with each passing second. “Or better yet, how about you leave? You are not welcomed here.”
“I will in a few minutes. I have to do something first,” he told her, leaning off the wall and walked over towards Raven with a frown on his face.
Raven moved back towards the headboard of her bed with a raised hand, and she could feel her eyes growing dark when she could see a pool of magic started to form around her hand. “Stay away from me Damian. Azarath Metrion Zin—” her eyes widen in surprise when he had easily caught her wrist and had pushed her back on the bed with him slightly on her. She tried to break free of his hold, but each attempt his hold on her wrist got tighter. “Let go of me. Now.”
“I came here specifically to give a warning,” Damian told her lowly, leaning in closer to her ear and Raven tried not to shiver as his warm breath tickled her pale skin while he pinned both of her wrists above her head. “Maybe he’ll listen to you,” he said with a snort.
“Tell him what exactly?” she asked, glaring up at him and she knew exactly who he was referring to.
“Tell Grayson that his little plan of his won’t work. I will not hesitate to use my assassins to fight back whatever it takes.”
“You could’ve gone straight to him to tell him that. Yet you came here. Why?” Raven asked, wiggling beneath him to get free of his hold that he has on her. “I will not ask you again to let go of me.”
The empath and the former hero glared at each other before Damian decided to let her wrists go. Raven hoped that he would move off from her but instead he had placed his hands on each side of her head and neither of them said anything to each other. “Come back to us Damian. That’s why he’s doing this.” Raven pleaded, making sure to look into his intense emeralds.
Damian pressed his lips together in a thin line as he looked down at the powerful daughter of Trigon beneath him. “I am not coming back. You should give up while you still have lives,” he hissed out at her.
Silence followed them and Raven tried to read Damian’s emotions, frowning deeply when she realized that he had put a block on them. She finally figured out that he had only let down his wall to let her know that he was inside her apartment and had quickly put them up afterward she had discovered him. She started to remember of the rare times that he had let down his walls and let her inside his mind. Back then, they were close and there were times she even had a slightest thought that maybe— Raven bit the inside of her cheek harshly and quickly ignored that last train of thought.
“Stop trying to get inside my head,” Damian demanded, breaking into her thoughts. “I won’t let you inside. Never again.”
“Damian.”
“Tt. I gave you my warning.” Damian said, sliding off from Raven and walked over towards her window to leave.
“Wait.” Raven said before she could stop herself when she watched him unhook the latches on her window. He didn’t turn around when she spoke, and she could see that he held on the edge of the window tightly with his tan fingers. “You might’ve blocked me out, but I still know how to read you. You could’ve gone to Dick and you didn’t. Care to tell me why?”
Damian turned his head slightly to look at her. She braced herself for his answer even though deep down, she already knew. How? Because his big red brick wall that he would constantly have up went down the moment she had asked the question.
“You already know why, Raven.”
Raven slowly met him by the window standing behind him. She wanted to reach out to touch the upper part of his shoulder that was covered by his gold and green armor but held back and instead rolled up her hand into a fist by her side. “Then that should be enough for you to come back. If you truly—”
“Don’t you dare try and use that against me, Raven. It won’t work.” Damian interrupted, turning his whole body to face her. His eyes widen slightly when he noticed the proximity the two young adults were. “I had offered you a place at my side if you were to join me.”
Raven rolled her amethyst eyes at him as she huffed. “You know damn well that’s not going to happen, Damian you know that.” She snarled out in a hiss, taking a step closer to until they were nose to nose.
The former Robin took a step back from her and narrowed his eyes into slits. “If Grayson goes through with his ridiculous plan, I will not hesitate to fight with full force to take down my enemies. And that includes you,” he said, his voice was filled with acid and Raven tried her best not to react when she felt a wave of anger that was coming from him when he had briefly let his wall down again.
Purple meets green when Damian moved closer to her and Raven pushed him back with her hands. She could feel her anger brewing inside her. Her breathing became hard as she continues to push him backwards with her hands. She was hoping that he would fight back, or at least prevent her from pushing him on his armored chest.
When his back was pressed against the wall, she used one of her hands to aim at his smooth olive skin face. But before it had made contact, he catches her hand easily in a tight hold. “Enough, Raven,” he said in a quiet voice, narrowing his green irises at her. “Make sure you give Grayson my warning.” He let go of her hand and made his way over to the window to leave her room.
Raven wasn’t sure what made her do it and knew that there was a chance of her regretting her decision that she was making. However, he was leaving and knew that the next time she would see him would be at the Nanda Parbat. But in that moment, on this stormy night, she didn’t care about what happens tomorrow.
She turned him around and her lips landed on his in a fierce kiss and brought him closer when she wrapped her pale arms around his neck. She gasped when she could feel herself being lifted by his strength and used her legs to wrap around his waist as he brought them back over to her bed.
They were both breathing heavily when Damian broke away from the kiss and stared down at her beautiful eccentric lilac irises that he could easily find himself lost in. He used a hand to place it down underneath her black tank top and he could feel her shiver at his warm touch against her skin. “Do you want this?” he asked, moving his hand upwards towards one of her breasts. “Will you regret it?”
Raven breathed in and out when the tips of Damian’s fingers started to play with one her nipples. She closed her eyes tightly at the touch as she bit her lower lip. She opened her eyes to stare into his green ones. “I don’t know if I am going to regret it,” she finally answered him softly and she watched him and was starting to pull away from her. “But I do want this,” she quickly added in a whisper.
She used her hand to grip the back of his neck in order to have his mouth back on hers once more and few minutes later their clothes were thrown off somewhere across the room and they had paused their moments briefly as he lined himself against her. He whispered her name as he finally entered inside her and Raven did the same as he started moving at a steady pace.
“Damian,” Raven moaned breathlessly when he had continued to thrust in and out of her in swift movements. She dug her nails on his upper bare back and she heard him groan at her touch. “Please. I-I need—“
“What do you need, Raven?” Damian asked her huskily against her ear, leaning down to nibble on her neck which cause her body to move upwards against him. “Tell me, and I’ll give it to you.”
“Please, faster. Harder.”
He made sure to give her what she had commanded. To make sure that she would remember what it had felt like when he was inside her. Because he knew that after tonight, if his older brother did decide to go through with his plan with the other Titans, they would be enemies once more. He wasn’t lying to her when he told her that he would fight her if the older hero didn’t heed his warning, and if he knows his brother and he certainly does, he will go through with his idiotic plan to take down the League in attempt to get him back.
Despite everything that might happen the next day, he certainly didn’t mind being her lover for just one night.
They were both out of breath as he wrapped his tan muscular arms around her tiny body. Neither of them said anything to each other. He used his fingers to run through her plum hair and sighed heavily. “Raven.”
Raven shook her head against his chest as she tried to savor the moment that had transpired between them. “Don’t.” She told him as she closed her eyes to let sleep take over, knowing that in next few hours he would be gone.
**********************
She was right of course when she woke up a few hours later alone in her bed. She tried not to think much of it as she listens to Dick’s plan in the mission room with the other Titans. After explaining the plan, she watched the other Titans leave the room. She stayed behind in the back and watched him whispered something into Kori’s ear before she had walked away from him, smiling at her as she left them alone.
“There’s something on your mind. I may not be an empath, but I can tell.” Dick told her as she walked over to stand next to him. “What is it, Raven?”
“He found me at my new apartment.”
There was a brief pause between them, and Dick didn’t even have to ask the sorceress who she was talking about. He folded his arms over his chest as he eyed her with his blue eyes making sure she wasn’t injured.
Raven, sensing his unease, shook her head at him. “He didn’t hurt me. He… told me to give you a warning,” she said, leaving out the part where he did more than just give her a warning. She sighed when he had lifted a brow at her. “He will use his men against us with full force. Dick—“
“No, Raven. We will use full force as well. This will work. We will get him back after today. Can you trust me?” he didn’t wait for her answer and instead walked away from the operations room, leaving her to her own thoughts and emotions.
“I’m don’t know, Dick. I’m not sure about anything anymore.”

'This gift from the devil, is a blessing.'
So since I believe Raven is bisexual (though it's not canon...)
She made out with a female at the first place hehe
But damirae is endgame anyway 🙃
* If this fanfic was loved, I have a couple of ideas to write fanfics from the albums "Hopeless fountain kingdom" and "If I can't have love, I want power". ;)

A/N: Hello Everyone. We finally made it to the finale of “First Impressions” I wanna thank you all for being with me and following along with this fic. This started out as a one-shot but after writing part 1; I couldn’t just stay there and decided to make it into a longer fic. I hoped you enjoy it thus far. This part in particular is longer than the other parts.
I would also like to take the time and wishing Happy Birthday / Belated Birthday to @ravenfan1242 . I wanna personally say thank you so much for all the support you give to artists and writers, like myself in the Damirae community. You may not know this, but you were my very fist commenter on my very first Damirae fic I had written when I first joined tumblr. Your words cheered me right up and gave me the confidence I needed to continue writing. I hope you enjoy this small gift from me. Thank you.
Without further ado, enjoy the story!

Part: 6
Where in his right mind did Damian think this was a good idea? He stood in front of his bathroom mirror and looked at the ‘work of art’ his sisters and Raven had done on him. Layers of foundation, contour, and highlight were plastered all over his face. His eyes were covered in a golden-brown eyeshadow, the girls then added some golden shimmer over it. Cass went ahead and nearly poked his eyes out when she used a liquid eyeliner to create a cat-eye look over his eyes. Stephanie was adding a light peach blush onto Damian’s cheeks. As for Raven who looked like she was actually enjoying torturing him, finished his ‘look’ with a dark purple matte liquid lipstick.
When he saw Cass grabbing her phone, Damian made a run for the door and dashed towards his bedroom. Damian touched his cheek, debating the choices he made that ended him looking like this. He turned on the faucet with warm running water and soaked a hand towel in it. Damian then started scrubbing his face clean; he looked hideous. The make-up wasn’t coming off easily and instead was smudging across his face, why did girls enjoy this, Damian had to wonder. He felt dirty and his face felt thick and tight from all the stuff that was plaster onto his face. Damian turned the water off and threw the hand towel in the sink. Lost in thought. He could had just said no, but he didn’t.
-- -- --
A few minutes earlier Damian had stood outside of Cass’s room when Raven entered to confess, she made up Jasper Sky. One may call him a stalker for leaning against the doorway, but Damian was there for Raven’s sake. He had promised to be there in case the confession had gone bad. Cass’s bedroom became extremely quiet, Damian couldn’t make out words anymore. He concentrated and heard a soft cry. Panicked and worry made him throw the door open to find his sisters hugging Raven, while Raven cried happily in their arms.
His sisters shocked at his outburst both cursed and questioned him what he was doing. Damian shot a quick glance towards Raven who was starting to flush. His sisters didn’t know the promise he had made to Raven. In order to save them both from being interrogated by his sisters, Damian had to come up with a quick plan. The first and only thing that popped in Damian’s mind was “I would like to try that make-over!”
-- -- --
Damian exited his bathroom and tirelessly fell onto his bed. He looked up to the ceiling and watch his ceiling fan just spun. At some point the girls would need to eat, Damian thought. Which would give him a chance to sneak into Cass’s room and take some facial cleansing wipes to clean his face. He should had been more patient and waited for Raven to come out, but the thought of her crying only terrified him greatly. He never wanted to see her cry or be scared, but even he could never stop that. But Damian hope he could be the one to bring Raven comfort, if she allowed him.
Damian’s thoughts were interrupted when someone was heard knocking onto his bedroom door. He turned his head towards the sound and contemplated if he should even open it. If it was one of his older brothers and found him in the state he was in, they would make Damian the laughing stalk of his family till he died. Though Damian rather die if it turned out either his father or Alfred ever saw him in his ridiculous state. How did the heir to Wayne Enterprises come to this? The knocking continued as Damian thought of the last person he would want to see. Cass. Damian knew very well, out of all his siblings, Cass has the largest following in her social media. What if she was trying to take a picture and post it to the whole world?! Worse she was actually coming to get him and drag him back to her room so they could add more cosmetics?
Please no more. What more could they possible add? The door was now being banged and each knocked sounded more frantic than the next. Damian groined into his hands, got up and walked towards his door. “Damn it Cass, enough is enough. I am not going back out there.”
“Actually, it’s me Damian.”Upon hearing her voice, Damian immediately unlocked his door and opened to find Raven holding some facial wipes and a few bottles, which he presumed to be used to remove cosmetics. “I brought some stuff to help clean your face.” She said softly.
Damian lifted a brow and then peek through the doorway before retuning his gaze to her. “It’s just you right? The she-devils aren’t near?”
“She-devils? Your sisters? Damian that’s mean and no they’re busy applying each other a facial mask.”
“Come in.”
Very timidly Raven walked into his room as Damian closed the door behind him. Damian continued to study her as she carefully walked like a frightened doe. What was she so afraid of him? Did she think he be upset with her over the make-over? Then he came to a realization, this was the first time Raven had entered his room. Every time she came over to the manor, the only places he would find her was in Cass’s room, the manor’s library, and the kitchen. Damian had never once invited her to his room.
As Damian continue to think of what he could say to comfort Raven in this most awkward situation, Raven had cleared her throat. “Where would you like to sit?” She asked very shyly.
Damian looked around his room and wished his desk had two chairs instead of one. He walked past her and sat down on the thick carpet, reclining against his bed. Raven followed him and bended down to her knees, she carefully placed the box of facial wipes in front of her and laid a few bottles next to them. She pulled out a wipe and carefully started rubbing his left cheek.
At first Damian tried keeping his gaze towards the carpet floor and count each thread. But his will betray him, he would catch himself side-glancing towards Raven as she carefully continues to clean his face. Afraid he would be caught; Damian closed his eyes and focused on how soft she was being with him. It felt like a massage and the tense knots he had in his face loosened under her touch. Damian leaned his head back against his bed and let out a deep sigh.
“So, my sisters forgave you, correct?”
“They did. Is as you said, they don’t hold grudges though they wanted a complete explanation on why I had to come up with Jasper Sky.”
“Like what?”
“Well I told them something specifically, and with that they backed down.” Raven carefully rubbed his brows clean. The room then became quiet and the only sound heard was the rubbing on his skin.
“I’m sorry.” Raven said in the most-lowest voice possible. “You’re like this because of me and… sigh… I’m sorry.”
Raven pulled away as she threw some used wipes into one pile. Damian looked at her and noticed how some of her lashes had grouped together due to her crying earlier. Remembering how thathad made him feel. Damian looked down at her hands and without even noticing with himself wrapped his hand around hers making Raven look up into his eyes.
“Don’t be.” Damian said as he pulled Raven’s hand closer to his chest. “You have nothing to apologize for, I put myself in this situation and… I would do it again to make sure you’re alright.”
Raven looked shocked at his words. She was right to be. Though now that he revealed this to her, Damian need to tell her more and come clean of his own feelings. He took a deep breath and allowed his heart to speak, “Raven, I have fallen in love with you. My heart beats every-time I am with you, my day lights up at the mention of your name. You are the most unique and most beautiful girl I have ever met. You view the world with a sense of wonder and I would like to see it through your eyes. I-”
Damian stopped when he saw Raven’s eyes watered. What had he done? This was too much and too soon for her.  He sighed, “just forget I said anything-”
Raven slammed her lips onto his, she cupped his face between her palms. She was actually squishing his face, but Damian didn’t feel any pain or didn’t knowhow to react since his brain decided not to function anymore. The poor boy was left in shock, Raven then released his face and slowly pulled away. Hiding her palms between her thighs. Her face was ridiculous flushed, but she was so beautiful, and Damian couldn’t help but stare. “I fallen in love with you too, Damian. I…I love you.”
Damian gave her a warm smile, he touched her cheek and pulled her onto his lap. Once she was settled, Raven wrapped one arm around his neck while the other stroke his check. The two youth continue to smile before both of them leaned into each other for another kiss. This kiss was slow almost as if though this kiss alone they could tell each other their true feelings and leaving themselves open to one another. They pulled and just looked at each other for what felt like an eternity.
Raven giggled in his arms as she wrapped both arms around his neck, “I actually had a crush on you since before we met.” Damian raised a brow at her as he waited for her to continue, “Your family would tell me stories about you and well I couldn’t wait to me the Damian Wayne.”
“Well lucky for me, I just hope I didn’t raise any concerns after my first impression.”
“Actually, after calming down the whole incident made you look hot. I found out just how much your father’s books meant to you and the lengths you would go to protect the people you loved. Only made the crush I had on you grow.”
Damian only smiled at her and gave her a quick peck on her temple, Raven sighed and rested her head against his chest. “Is there a way for you to sneak away from my sisters tomorrow? I would like to take you out on an official date.”
“I will let them know I won’t be available for a few hours but I’m sure they will be okay with it… they did give me their blessing to date you.”
Before Damian had a chance to ask her what she meant by that, his bedroom door was blasted open, with all his siblings coming through popping confetti poppers and Cass holding up her phone snapping a picture of them, “Damn right you have our blessing Rae, whoo welcome to the family, sister!”

DamiRae Hospital AU?
No I am not writing one, if I could write well I would though! So here are some HCs for a hospital AU.    If someone decides to write this then I’ll be your first reader. Also I am sort of basing things off of Grey’s Anatomy just a bit and my limited knowledge of the medical field.
- Starts of as 1st year residents, specialties may vary
- The “Titans” are residents and 1st years that show great promise, this doesn’t really play a role its just what people call them behind their backs
- Dr. Kori Anders is a OBGYN (women parts and birth) resident, a year or two away from finishing
- Dr. Richard “Dick” Grayson is is a surgery resident, trained by the hospital owner Bruce Wayne (who is a world renowned surgeon, has awards, etc), specifically general surgery
- Dr. Garfield Logan is pediatrician (kid doctor) res, bonds well with kids, but is considering going back to school to become a vet instead
- Dr. Jaime Reyes is an oncology (cancer doctor), having had cancer as a teen and is now forever trying to rid the world of it, works mostly with kids and teens
- Dr. Jonathan Kent is a physical therapist that works with pain management. Up beat guy and is always trying to brighten his patient’s lives.
- Dr. Damian Wayne is a surgical intern, blood thirsty little thing, hoping to become a neurosurgeon (brain, spine) (or cardiothoracic (heart, lungs) both are competitive)
- Dr. Raven Roth is an anesthesiologist (the drug person that knocks you out) and is starting her surgical internship (she wanted to do more than just help people get high essentially or whatever) has no current preference for any specific surgical field
- Add in characters:
-- Dr. Jason Todd, trauma surgeon (fits too well)
-- Dr. Timothy Drake diagnostician (medical detective basically)
-- Dr. Donna Troy gynecologist
-- Terra Markov is a nurse (i don’t like Terra but nurses are the actual best)
- Story stuff:
- Damian and Raven meet as they are put under the guidance of the same resident
-Damian has an automatic dislike for Raven because she knows everyone already and is equally, if not much more, knowledgable about surgery, the OR, the ER, protocol, etc  He also thinks she is cold because she rarely shows emotion (pot kettle Damian)
- Raven can always be found in the medical archives researching old cases and studying new ones, Damian stumbles upon her when looking for an old cardiomegaly case (enlarged heart).
- Raven gets along with all of the past ‘Robins’ making her a go to intern
- Garfield can be seen whenever he is not needed trying to flirt with Nurse Markov and often goes to Raven to sulk
- Damian and Raven are always early to pre-rounds and are typically the first ones there (usually early in the morning, getting there before 500)
- Jon bumps into Damian more often than not and they start becoming friends (Damian is reluctant at first and is still you know Damian about everything), Damian even recommends patients to him
- Though Damian doesn’t want to really ‘hang out’ with anyone he reluctantly hangs out with the Titans, because of Jon and Dick
            - When in a large group when at a bar, club or whatever Damian tends to stay close to Raven because 1) they actually have things to talk about 2) she isn’t loud
- Raven & Damian are both assigned to a case that is frankly befuddling and have to start spending long nights and early mornings together to figure it out
- Over that period of time they learn things about each other:
-- Raven learns:
Damian has a dog (Titus) and cat (Alfred)
He is single (Kori told her) and lives in an apartment close to the hospital
He has lived in various countries
He is trained in multiple martial arts
He prefers his tea with brown sugar and a slice of lemon
His eyes are a true emerald color with a ring of gold and flecks scattered within
He may hide it well but when Raven compliments him he becomes flustered
He speaks to himself in Arabic when he curses, trying to remember something, doesn’t want anyone to know what he is saying
He isn’t always an asshole
When he actually smiles a true and genuine smile, she has heart palpitations
-- Damian learns:
Raven has two tattoos (neither are a bird), a gang tat (she is saving up to get it removed), and a mantra in Azarathian; Azarath Metrion Zinthos
She immigrated from Azarath when she was around 8
Her notes are in Azarathian
She actually feels a lot of emotion and knows how to control them
If she is not reading about a current or past case she is reading any book or file she can get her hands on, he has caught her reading in multiple different languages; Azarathian, English, French, Russian, Arabic, Dutch, Mandarin, (could be more or less)
She lives alone and has a cat, Nevermore, and thanks to Dick he already knew she was single
She likes all tea, no matter how prepared, but prefers the sweetener to be honey
Her hair is black but shines purple, especially under the ER lights
Her eyes are a purple that at first glance look blue, like Elizabeth Taylor, he realizes though her eyes are galaxies on their own
When she smiles the world actually stops moving, her eyes shine like stars and he never wants the world to start moving again
She always wears a necklace with a gold and ruby ring at all times (it was her mother’s wedding ring)
- When Damian starts having le feelings for Raven he considers actually seeking medical advice as this has never happened to him before
- Raven tries her best to contain her feelings when at work, going so far as one day a month staying home just to scream, cry and feel her feelings
- It does not help that new feelings towards Damian start popping up, especially since he starts bringing her tea and hanging out with her at work
- During the middle of their 2nd year of residency someone holds Raven hostage in the hospital to fix someone that person loves (this person had connections to Trigon and knew who Raven was)
- That was not a fun time for either Damian or Raven; Damian was outside the hospital pacing trying to figure something out with the other Titans trying to calm themselves and him down
- Shots are fired and when all is said and done, Raven gets shot in the abdomen and the hand (she was in ICU for a hot sec)
- Damian seemed to be there every time Raven woke up, he was always checking on her during rounds even though he wasn’t on her case
- Raven did have to have surgery on her hand and in her abdomen (idk where i’m not getting that specific), she hated being, in her words, coddled
- Even though Raven was right handed (the one that got shot) she learned how to do everything, writing, eating, going to the bathroom, etc. (many of the other residents are impressed since she keeps working on it after her other hand heals)
- Raven’s room also becomes a space for other residents to destress and just vent about their day. She listens and gives advice, all without looking up from whatever she was doing.
- During this time Raven becomes hooked on Pretty Pretty Pegasus
- Raven’s room is also full of cards, flowers, etc all from fellow staff and some from patients. When she leaves (she spends a couple weeks in thanks to multiple surgeries, recovery, and other minor injuries) all of the gifts litter her apartment, the cards end up in a box by her desk, she presses the flowers, and stuffed animals are donated to children’s shelter (she keeps some that she has grown attached to)
- During this time Damian is more of an ass than usual (people notice and tease him)
- Damian at some points keeps working without breaks/sleep for hours on end. Dick pulls him aside after noticing, scolds and forces him to sleep in one of the on call rooms. (He really wanted him to go home, but Damian wasn’t leaving)
- Once Raven was discharged Damian and Garfield help her back home (clothes + gifts + Raven w/a healing hand/other injuries = need help) the other Titans would have helped but were needed at the hospital
- Garfield leaves after dropping off Raven and Damian (and her stuff) as he is called in on a Peds case (could be fake, may not be) and Raven & Damian spend the rest of the time basically watching terrible movies. (with Nevermore sitting on both of them)
- That is the night Damian realizes that not only does he like Raven, but he like likes her. He starts devising plans on how to get her to date him.
- All his plans basically are thrown out the window because of one reason or another (he kept overthinking it)(poor guy)
- It is not until their 3rd year of residency that Raven realizes her feelings towards Damian (Have I made it clear she likes him? I can’t remember...)
- She realizes her feelings when she has to crash at his place for a night (because he lives ridiculously close to the hospital, like how expensive is that??) and he tries to make sure that she is as comfortable as possible
- She never realized how much he cared for her? Like she was always helping him out and there for him but she never realized he reciprocated that care? *Shocker*
- Raven becomes kind of a mess because of all her emotions that she is trying to bottle up. (all the corks are disintegrating and the jar is overflowing)
- Raven is during her Ortho rotation (bone surgeon people, they are cool, ik from experience) that she actually gets a good release for her emotions (setting peoples bones and drilling and hammering in pins is actually therapeutic)
- Raven thinks that may be the specialty she chooses
- Damian saw her as a mess and could not fathom why she was said mess, he figured it was about a romantic interest after someone made an offhand comment about her love life and she became a blubbering mess (very un-Raven like)
- After all of well *motions with hands* that Raven asks why Damian doesn’t have a s/o or someone
- He says there is only person that he has been meaning to ask out (looks pointedly at Raven)
- All Raven says is “Go for it.”
And that is where my HCs end. Now if anyone who happens upon this post decides to write a Medical AU with any of these please tag me, tell me, message me.
You do not have to give me credit, I just want to read it.
This took me a couple of days to write up, so if it is disjointed I apologize.
If anything needs to be corrected for any reason let me know!
I hope this fuels some imaginations!
-I may post more HC AU things if they come to mind, we will have to see.

Friday night. A Damira fic.
Hi, here’s my take on what I would like to see on Friday’s clip with Dani’s friends.
This is my take on Friday's clips, what I think/would like to see happening. I wanted to include a conversation between Amira and Dani about microagression and unfortunate comments. I hope it doesn't offend anyone, I've tried to do my best at putting myself on Amira's place but at the end of the day I'm not her and I don't have her experiences. Still, I hope you like it.
Summary: Amira is meeting Dani's friends on Friday and things don't turn out the way they expected. This leads to Dani and Amira having a conversation about unfortunate comments.
You can also read it on Ao3
----------------------------
“Are you alright?” Dani asks Amira for the 15th time since they entered the club fifteen minutes ago.
“Yes, Dani, I’m fine” Amira rolls her eyes but at the same time she smiles, Dani is very nervous and in some way it’s adorable. “Really, relax, everything will be alright”
“I’m just so excited for you to meet my friends, Ami. But at the same time I’m kind of scared you won’t like them.” Dani looks around trying to find his friends and, at the same time, trying to avoid Amira’s look. “I don’t even know if a club is the best place for you guys to meet but good luck telling my friends not to go out on a Friday”
“Well, look at that, they have something in common with my friends, then” Amira says laughing. She stands in front of Dani forcing him to look at her. “Seriously, Dani, don’t worry. Everything will be alright.”
Dani smiles at her thanking her for her words, he knows she really is trying to calm him down. Before he can say anything he sees a girl running to them. He immediately realizes that the girl is his friend, Patri, who hugs Dani as if they hadn’t seen each other for a year instead of just two weeks.
“Daniiiiiiiii! How are you? How are you doing? How’s your sister? I haven’t seen her in a while” Dani doesn’t even try to answer, he knows that once his friend starts talking it’ll take a while for him to be able to add something to the conversation. Patri looks at Amira and for a moment Dani panics, thinking that Patri might say something bad, but she only smiles at her. “Is this your girlfriend? Oh my god, I was so looking forward to meeting you. It was about time that our Dani got himself a girlfriend. Hi, how are you? I’m Patri. Nice to meet you. You’re Amira, right? Cris’ friend.”
Patri greets Amira with the traditional two kisses that Amira gives back with a smile. She’s only known Patri for like 30 seconds but she already likes her. There’s something in her that kind of reminds her of Viri.
“Nice to meet you” is all that Amira can say before Patri starts her monologue again.
“Dani is always talking about you, even before you started dating. He was like ‘I’m going out with Cris and Amira, I’m going to Zaorejas with Cris and her girlfriend, thank god Amira is coming too, I’m going to be the coach for Amira’s kid from the association, oh look Amira would like tha…’”
“Okay, okay, okay, enough, I think she got it. Thank you very much Patri” Dani interrupts her feeling how the heat reaches his cheeks and it’s not because they’re at a closed space.
“Awww, how cute” Amira teases him to which Dani rolls his eyes though he’s laughing too.
The moment is interrupted by the person that was missing, Rubén, that approaches the group apologizing for being late. If Dani was anxious about Patri, now that Rubén is here he’s holding his breath even though he doesn’t even realize. Rubén is not a bad guy, he’s a good friend mostly, but Dani has a bad feeling about him meeting his girlfriend.
Rubén, unaware of his friend’s worries greets Patri with two kisses, then he quickly hugs Dani patting his back and finally he approaches Amira to greet her with two kisses too. Amira, though, takes a step back avoiding Ruben’s touching. Dani curses himself for not having warned Rubén about this before.
“Fuck, girl, it’s not like I’m going to rape you, relax, I was only going to greet you like every other person.”
“Dude, stop, don’t be an asshole. If she doesn’t want to kiss you then she won’t and that’s it, alright?” Dani says defensively.
Amira, trying to avoid an even more uncomfortable situation places her hand on Dani’s arm, trying to get him to understand that it’s okay. Dani looks at her and searches her face for a hint that she’s uncomfortable and she wants to go, because the truth is that, if Amira tells him right now that she wants to leave, he won’t hesitate. However Amira shows him a sincere smile and Dani relaxes.
This doesn’t make the situation any more comfortable though, since the four of them stand there in silence for a few seconds. Dani thinks that now it’d be the right time for one of Patri’s monologues. His friends, as if she has read his mind, turns to Amira.
“Girl, I’m loving your pants. Well, I’m loving your whole outfit, you have such an amazing style. Let’s hope Dani learns something from you because it’s like he’s only allowed  to wear hoodies.”
“Hey!” Dani says half offended, half grateful for the change of subject “What’s wrong with my hoodies?”
Patri raises her eyebrows at him as if it isn’t necessary to explain to which Amira can’t help but laughing, far less uncomfortable than a few seconds ago.
“Hey, everybody, I’m going to go out to smoke, alright? Dani, are you coming?” Ruben says taking the package of cigarettes from his pocket and offering one to Dani.
“Nah, dude, I’m not in the mood, you go ahead and catch us later”.
Rubén only shrugs and leaves without saying anything else. When Dani looks back at the girls they’re still talking about clothes.
“Hey, I’m going to buy drinks, what do you want? First round is on me.” Dani offers them
“I want juice, please” Amira asks with a smile that Dani reciprocates and it’s not until Patri speaks that he looks away.
“Daniel, please, I’m offended you’re even asking, rum and coke for me.”
Dani nods and goes away to order. Once he’s paid for the three drinks he picks up the glasses and turns around, looking for Amira and Patri. He spots them and they’re still talking. From the way they’re smiling it looks like they’re really getting along. Dani feels a mix of pride and happiness in his chest. He’s kind of unsure if he should interrupt them but the glasses are too cold and his hands are starting to hurt.
“Here you have”
Once everyone has their drinks Patri takes a long sip from her and immediately makes a disgusted face.
“Oh my god, dude, this is super strong.” Patri looks at Dani searching for support but she sees him taking a sip from his drink without even blinking. “Dude, what the fuck? How can you drink it like that? Is yours not as strong as mine?”
“Not really, since I’m only drinking coke” Dani says laughing at his friend’s disgusted face still showing.
From the corner of his eyes he notices Amira staring. When he turns to her he frowns when he sees Amira’s confused face. She squints at him like she’s trying to decipher him.
“Hey guys, I’m going to go around the club to see if I find someone who buys me another drink, alright?” Patri, who has noticed that Amira wants to speak in private with her boyfriend, says.
“Why are you looking at me like that? You’re scaring me” Dani says once his friend is gone.
“Why aren’t you drinking?” Amira decides to be as clear as possible, no hesitation.
“Because I don’t feel like drinking, I don’t know” Dany says shrugging and taking another sip of his drink.
“Are you doing this for me?” Amira stands in front of Dani so she can see his face.
“No” Dani says and the thing is, Amira thinks he seems sincere. Still, she insists.
“Dani, you know I’m not going to force you to quit drinking, or smoking” Amira says pointing at the door where Rubén left a few minutes ago. “Right?”
“Of course I know. I’m not drinking and I’m not smoking because I don’t want to. I don’t feel like doing that.”
Amira tilts her head to one side and sighs, she’s not sure if she should believe him or not.
“Ami, you’re not forcing me to do anything, you’re not overwhelming me or any stuff you’re thinking right now, because I know you are.” Amira’s silence confirms that Dani is right. “I’m not drinking because I don’t want to, because that’s what I’ve decided. Alright?”
Amira sighs and nods, she knows he’s telling the truth.
“Besides” Dani adds showings Amira her favorite smile of his, the one that makes him look like a kid that’s about to get into trouble “I want to be on my five senses when being with my girl.”
“Your girl?” Amira repeats raising her eyebrows and smiling.
“My girl” Dani confirms.
For a moment, Dani and Amira forget that they’re in the middle of a club surrounded by people dancing and getting drunk. To them only the other exists and they can’t stop looking at each other.
The moment though, is interrupted by Rubén, who without even saying anything takes Dani’s drink from his hand and takes a big sip from it.
“Fuck, man, they’ve fooled you, this doesn’t have alcohol.” Rubén says surprised as if the thought of a non-alcoholic drink scared him.
“Give that back” Dani says taking the glass from him. “They didn’t fool me, I’ve ordered it this way”
“Fuck, dude, what a pussy” Rubén says laughing unbelievably “What’s the matter? Your Muslim girlfriend doesn’t allow you to drink?”
“What the fuck are you saying, you dick?” Dani takes a step forward and stands a few centimeters from his friend, trying to contain himself so he doesn’t cause a scene.
“Dani…” he hears Amira saying but his still staring at Rubén who, laughing, puts his arm around Dani’s shoulder.
“Shit, calm down, man, it was a joke. Oh, I see. She doesn’t let you see what’s underneath all those clothes and you’re on edge, right?” Turning to Amira, he adds. “Fuck, girl, indulge him a little bit or he’s going to combust.”
All the containment Dani was trying to keep goes straight to hell right the second that Rubén talks to Amira. He pushes him off of him and in a fragment of a second he grabs Rubén’s shirt and raises his fist ready to hit him. He doesn’t do it though, because in the last second he realizes what he’s doing and stops. He turns to look at Amira who’s looking at him with a scared face. Right in that moment Patri, who’s seen the fight from the other side of the club, arrives running.
“What’s going on here? Dani, what’s wrong?” She asks seeing how his friend still has his fist raised.
Dani sighs and lowers it, releasing Rubén’s shirt with a shove.
“You’re not worth the hassle” Dani says taking a step back from Rubén. He looks at Patri who simply nods, letting him know that she understands.
Dani turns around and approaches Amira. The look on her face sends a jab of pain straight to his heart.
“Let’s go, please.” Dani begs her and Amira nods without hesitation.
Dani leads the way outside the club, Amira following him trying to keep up with his pace. Once they’re outside they walk in silence for a few minutes. All Amira can hear is Dani’s agitated breath. She tries to give him space for him to calm down before she says something but when she hears him sniffle as if he’s about to cry she reacts.
“Dani…”
“How can you deal with this?” Dani asks stopping dead on his tracks. For the first time since they left the club Amira is able to look at his eyes and she notices that they’re read, as if he’s trying to hold back the tears.
“I don’t understand” Amira mumbles in confusion.
“How can you deal with that kind of comments every fucking day? I’ve had to endured them for five minutes and I almost rip Rubén’s head off” Amira notices how Dani gets agitated just by saying his friend’s name. Dani closes his eyes and takes a deep breath, trying to calm down before opening them and continue. “You have to listen to those comments every day, and still, you’re the most wonderful person I’ve ever met.”
“I am not.”
“Yes, yes you are. You’re always there for anyone that needs you, you’re honest and sincere, and kind, there’s not one shred of hate in you. If I had to endure everyday what you have to I’d be full of hate or getting into fist fights all the time.” Trying to avoid her eyes Dani looks at the floor embarrassed.
“But you didn’t do that today.” That catches Dani’s attention who looks up at Amira. “You could’ve beaten up Rubén, but you didn’t. Why?”
“Because I don’t want to be that type of person, I want…I want to be better than that.”
“There you have your answer.” Amira says smiling at him endearingly. Dani stands there in silence and Amira takes the opportunity to put her thoughts in order before speaking. “Look I’m used to that kind of stuff. It shouldn’t be like that, and it sucks, but it is what it is. And it comes a time when you just have to know how to choose the battles that are worth fighting for because if you don’t then you’ll spend your whole life fighting and arguing. And well, there are moments when I do answer and reply to those comments and I don’t let them win, or I try to make the other person see that what they’re saying is wrong. But sometimes it’s just not worth the hassle. I’m proud of who I am, and I’m proud of my faith and not one ignorant is going to change that. And…I don’t know, at the end of the day, nobody is perfect, and most of the times those comments don’t mean to hurt me. Even the person that loves you the most can make an unfortunate comment from time to time.”
“Like me, for example, right?” Dani mumbles, not knowing if he wants to hear the answer to his question. When Amira doesn’t say anything and looks at him with a sad face Dani doesn’t need her to answer. Something inside him breaks and the tears that he was trying to hold back roll down his face.
“Dani…” Amira takes a step forward, her heart breaking.
“I’m sorry, I’m sorry Ami, I’m sorry. I’m so sorry. I’m sorry about any shitty comment or joke I might’ve made. I’m sorry.”
“Dani, it’s alright, really, it’s normal.”
“Of course it’s not alright, fuck. You’re my girlfriend Ami and I just…I can’t deal with the thought of me hurting you that way. I’m sorry Ami, please forgive me.
“Hey, hey, hey. I forgive you, alright? I forgive you.”
“Ami, I…I don’t want to make you feel like that ever again.” Dani’s mind is going a mile per second trying to find the words to express what he’s thinking. “I need, please, I need that…if I ever say something or do something that hurts you or offends you, I need you to tell me, so I can learn and I can correct myself. I want to be better Ami, I want…I want to unlearn some habits and…I need your help. I don’t want to be burden to you, I don’t want you to feel like you’re my mom or my teacher, I just need you to…trust me enough to know that you can tell me what hurts you so I won’t repeat it again. Please.”
Amira looks at him and sighs, taking a step forward to shorten the distance between them. She’s feeling a mix of sadness from seeing him like this and calm for the fact that he’s showing real interest in her and in respecting her. That’s how she knows that their relationship has a shot of being alright.
“Alright, but with one condition.”
“Whatever you want.” Dani says immediately.
Slowly, Amira raises her right arm and with a gentle touch she wipes away Dani’s tears.
“Stop crying, please.” Amira notices how Dani gets almost paralyzed by her touch and she’d be lying if she said that she doesn’t love having that effect on her. They stare at each other so intensely that for a moment Amira feels like she can’t breathe. She takes a step back. “And now take me to buy some juice because I couldn’t finish my drink”
Dani’s laugh, which Amira is now realizing she was already missing, makes her breathe relieved.
“Deal.”

For Wandering Dreamers (Bonus Story & Not Technically Part of the Series Just Same Universe It’ll Make Sense)
Synopsis: You had a chance to watch Spoilers for Justice League Dark Apokolips War and it ended it angst and fluff
Notes: This is taken from the same concept as my For Wandering Dreamers series and is just what would happen if you watched the movie in that set universe since you still have access to your old phone. This is also a bit angsty at the beginning and fluff at the end.
Warnings: Spoilers for Justice League Dark Apokolips War, language
Word Count: 1770
Tumblr media
You were sitting on your bed in Wayne Manor, phone in hand, now connected to your computer. It was the release day of the new movie back home where you were from and you were pumped for the movie. The only issue for you was seeing Damian and Raven together on screen what with you dating him and all. It was a bit weird but you weren’t going to let that stop you from watching the movie.
Damian was going out for patrol and had just left. You didn’t really know how violent this movie would be but there were rumors that it would be pretty hardcore. It was just a movie though, and you were sure to teleport into a universe that wasn’t as... doomed as Flashpoint.
Damian walked out of the room after one last kiss before you started up the movie and sat back to embark on whatever was supposed to happen. You watched as the movie started getting kind of intense.
“A bit early dontcha think DC?” You muttered arms crossed.
The film continued and eventually you stumbled across some of the bloodiest and most violent scenes that you’d ever witnessed. Would it have kind of messed you up watching it without knowing that this stuff was real? Yes. But now, knowing that this thing really happened, it hurts in a new kind of way.
You watched as your favorite heroes died one by one. It was the most antagonizing thing that you’d ever seen in so long. Babs, eaten alive, Hawkman having his wings ripped off, it was like watching everyone that had raised you as a kid be killed off one by one. It broke you seeing what happened to the heroes as the casualties started sky rocketing. What really made you sick was the Titans dying.
Star was split in half, her blood everywhere and spine showing through, Conner’s neck was snapped and then you saw it, Dick being stabbed to death. The sound made you feel queasy you felt sick to your stomach and then your heart dropped when the parademon saw Damian. You felt tears well in your eyes on anticipation only breathing when he was just knocked into the water seeing as there was a chance of his survival.
It was hard going on, but know you were glued to the screen watching in anticipation of what was to happen. Eventually after sticking your nose up to what you knew as the DamiRae parts of the movie in jealousy, you got to one of the last battles. It was Damian vs Bruce and you knew it was not going to be pretty. If there was anything that you would never show him besides this entire movie, it was going to be this part and you knew it. You grimaced at the words that Bruce said. They echoed in your mind, his voice sticking there for a few seconds.                  “Your mother mentally broke me.” He continued, “You’re a burden.”
“Damn B, I know you’re brainwashed and crap but what happened to Batdad?” You said getting a bit mad at the dialogue.
After a little while, you watched in absolute horror as Damian jumped in front of Bruce. You were at a loss of words watching him shrivel into what looked like an ancient version of himself. Words clumped into the back of your throat as you started to cry hearing Raven screaming and then the climax of the movie hitting. It was terrible seeing him like that. You didn’t stop crying when he was revived either, you didn’t stop until the end of the movie where finally you went to the bathroom for a second.
Damian wasn’t due to be home for a bit. It was an amazing movie, but seriously? You thought you’d be sick seeing the outcomes of Dick and everyone else. Yes, Flash would hopefully fix everything running into the Speed Force, but it costed everything. You went to the shelf in your bedroom, grabbing your character guide to flip through it. Tears only really came for those with the worst deaths. You didn’t know what happened to some of the characters but you were sure it either wasn’t good, or they weren’t in the movie at all. It was weird seeing everyone in this light and really didn’t affect you too terribly until you thought of Diana. She was the mother you never had and your childhood hero. Watching her become this cyborg version of herself, losing everything was something you didn’t take well.
You flipped the page to her four pages and cried looking down at the now broken hero, seeing her in a whole new way of defeat and near death. You didn’t realize how much time had passed when you got a knock on the door and a voice that was certainly Damian’s.
“Beloved?” He asked before you said he could come in, “Are you alrig-“
Damian stopped dead in his tracks looking at your tear stained face with much concern and then saw the book open in your hands and the black screen of your laptop, it turning off automatically.
“What happened?” He asked scooping you into his arms and sitting on your bed.
“E-everyone d-died.” You choked up, “A-and Diana, she, I just, she was completely broken." “Y-you...” You trailed off not wanting to continue, the look on your face being very evident too Damian that that was the case.
“Y/N, it doesn’t happen here, you know that. It was you who told me that this kind of thing would have already happened since it just got made into a movie.” Damian said, “Everyone is fine.” “I’m fine, I’m here with you, and you’re fine.”
You looked up at him and shut the book before deleting the file of the movie, “Do not go watching that Damian.”
“I won’t beloved, you have my word.” Damian promised tucking you two in and shutting off the lamp, “Remember, I’ll always be right here with you. I love you.”
“I love you too.” You said not falling asleep as quickly as typical.
It was a few hours later when a dream came on about the movie. You were there in some kind of clear box watching from afar. Damian was bleeding looking up at Bruce before it forwarded more and you saw the league in ruins once more. Damian was strapped into a machine and you were trying to get to him. There was no use in this however. He looked at you and pleaded for help before suddenly, without a moment’s notice, he shriveled into the grey corpse you had seen him in previously.
“Y/N! Beloved wake up!” Damian was shaking you awake gently before you shot up, sweat covering your face and tears starting to stream down your face as you latched onto Damian, his arms wrapping around you tightly.
“You’re okay Y/N, it was just a dream.” Damian said tenderly.
“Please don’t stop talking.” You whimpered feeling him start to trace patterns ono your back as he started talking again, his hot breath dancing on your shoulder.
“My love, when we first met I couldn’t believe that you were from a different universe.” Damian chuckled some, “To think you were so accustomed to Gotham and fought that man with such pride, I could have thought you had lived here your entire life. After I- you took me back to the cave, I thought you would have demanded to become a vigilante along with the rest of us.”  “I’m glad that you didn’t, it makes me feel better knowing that you’re safe but can also handle yourself at any given time. I’m so sorry that you had to see what you did in this kind of context.”
His touch became still on your back before he took a long, drawn out sigh as if he was thinking about what he was going to say, “I love you like I love the stars, they are a small light of mystery and beauty in this world.” He smiled some kissing your shoulder.
“I love you like the ocean, your thoughts and it infinitely deep and everchanging.” He kissed your other shoulder.
“I love you like I love stories, complex and an escape from reality.” He kissed your jaw.
“You are my sun, the light of my life.” He kissed your other cheek”
“You’re my rest and comfort” He kissed the tip of your nose, “My first love, not just a meaningless relationship.” He kissed your forehead, “My eyes, seeing the beauty in the world.” He then kissed your eye and smiled as you grinned some, “You are my beauty, something that I adore every day.” He lightly kissed your other eye.
“But most importantly,” Damian paused as you opened your eyes some, “You are my last love, my beloved, and my entire world.” This time he pulled you in for a real kiss, something that felt like it lasted for days or even centuries.
“I love you Damian.” You smiled as he fell back onto the pillow, taking you down with him and holding you closely still to his chest as you literally laid on top of him.
“I love you Y/N.” He smiled running his fingers through your hair and fell asleep quickly after you did.
You awoke from your sleep, light pouring into the bedroom.
“Good morning beloved.” You heard Damian mutter, a smile in his voice now with an accent.
“Good morning Dami.” You replied yawning some.
“Did you sleep well after everything?” He questioned running his fingers through your hair.
“I did, thank you.” You laughed, “That is the last time I watch that movie.”
“I’m glad you’re doing better, it sounded like a terrible thing to see what with now knowing it’s relevancy.” He explained, an arm still wrapped tightly around your waste as he sat up.
You laid in his lap before sitting up, facing him. You were straddling him, your feet pressing against his hips but only because you had socks on. He kissed you lightly smiling into it. You laid your head on his chest and sighed.
“Last night felt like a fever dream.” He chuckled at your comment.
“I assure you beloved, it was not a dream.” Damian said, “The good parts especially weren’t.”
“I’m glad for that.” You smiled, “Anyways, we should probably get breakfast now.”
“But what if we stayed in bed?” He asked.
“What if we quickly ate something and had a relaxing weekend?” You asked.
“That sounds wonderful.” Damian said as you guys got up to head downstairs and start your weekend.

Skam España S4 — Amira’s “Yousef”
Okay, I think it’s time for my first original post. Here it comes. Please try to be kind. I’m all new to Tumblr, and its rules and habits. First a disclaimer: I’m white and Christian, so I cannot and won’t pretend to know what the muslim and/or poc experience is. I try to comment on Skam España from a narrative perspective. (I studied English literature at uni, before I became an adult with a job and a Skam obsession on the side. 😅) But even I have favorites... But more about that later, for now let me focus on Eskam’s “Yousef”, Dani.
Many viewers commented on the fact that he is white, Spanish and not religious at all. There’s a real divide by now between Damira shippers and Kassim fans, and an increasing number of fans who just want Amira to remain single. Well, I haven’t decided exactly what side to take. But in Damira’s defense, I like the fact that the writers of Skam España invested in the storyline. There were hints about it in previous seasons. (Rather than in OG, where the whole thing comes kind of all of a sudden.)
But now my main point: I think that making Dani the “Yousef” in this story is a refreshing take on the original story. I really love the inversions so characteristic for Skam España (best friend’s brother instead of brother’s best friend). Since Cris and Amira have been friends since kindergarten, this creates an unusual dynamic. Dani may not know much about Islam, he’s known Amira for more than a decade, and he appears to know her (personality) pretty well. He is aware of her “stubborn and rebellious” side (just like her mother).
This is very different from all previous “Yousefs”, who knew Sana somewhat, but not as closely and as long as Dani does in Eskam. I hope this gives the “Yousef” of this story a unique insight into Amira as a person: how she thinks, what she feels, and how she goes out of her way to control both of those things. I mean: he’s not her bff or something, but before all of romance they were practically like family. To be familiar on that level with somebody suggests a considerable knowledge of who somebody is and why they do what they do.
Now, with regards to Amira’s religion, Islam, making Dani a white character with little knowledge of what Islam signifies, may have its benefits. As of now, Dani seems to be a guy who is willing to hear Amira out and learn more about her view on life (and the way she chooses to live it). (🤞 that that remains that way). Therefore, there is a genuine interest and Amira can educate her SO* about her religion.
True, in OG and adaptations, there was always a SO who was born a Muslim. But what slightly bothered about that, is that I got the feeling that the “Sana” had to defend their religion against someone who consciously decided to turn away from Islam. For me, that made it more about “who is right?” and “to what extent can Sana’s principles be stretched?” than about “Why does the Sana-character believe/ do/ feel these things in the first place?” I am hopeful that those things will be discussed more elaborately on Eskam.
Alright, I think that was that for now. (This has turned into a gigantic post and I’m pretty tired.) Just one sincere question for the “Kasmira” fans among us fandom: how would you envision a “Sana” season with a Muslim “Yousef”? For me, Skam is mainly about encountering hurdles and somehow overcoming them. In “Sana’s” case, this mainly has to do with religion. When both parties are Muslim, where’s the obstacle? Would it be within Islam, how there can be different viewpoints and schools?
*.) How signficant, that’s up to you.

DamiRae Week 2019 || Day 2 || Fake relationship
“These shoes are uncomfortable.” A hushed girl’s voice whispered in his ear.
“Focus, Raven.” He brushed her off in the same hushed voice as the two of them were walking around the room filled with very important people.
“You focus when your feet are killing you with every step you take.” She rolled her eyes and tried to hold her balance as best as she could. Thankfully she had Damian’s arm to clutch onto for extra support. Of course, this whole fancy thing was only for the show. They needed to look like a real couple as much as possible in order to attract the villain they were after. It was nothing more than an undercover mission. Raven just wished she could’ve gotten more comfortable shoes for this.
“No need to be so dramatic.” Damian barely gave her a glance, his eyes more focused on scanning their surroundings, trying to find anyone suspicious. “Are you picking up on anything suspicious?”
“There’s a lot of people in this room who got their wealth in one dirty way or another. Each and everyone of them is here for their own gain, mostly. A lot of greed and jealousy is in the air. So it’s hard to nitpick.” Raven explained, throwing a glance across the room as well. “But nothing that stands out just yet.”
“We’ll keep looking then. All we really need to do is make ourselves present.” Not that they needed to cause a scene. No. That was the last thing they wanted. The killer was on the lookout for wealthy young couples who were completely in love. For money purposes or for their own sick satisfaction, that they didn’t know yet. But they were going to find out. Right, now they just needed to let the killer know who they were. And with Damian Wayne that was no issue. Any news reporter would kill just to get an exclusive on the personal life of Bruce Wayne’s son. Which was both disturbing and very useful at the same time.
“Let’s dance.”
“What?” His gaze turned towards the dance floor. “But there’s no one dancing.”
“Exactly.” She grinned, although internally she was already regretting this suggestion. Yet, something made her pull him by the arm to the dance floor anyway, praying she didn’t stumble and fall right in front of everyone.
“Raven, I don’t think this is a good idea--”
“We need the attention, right? So this is a great idea and you know it.” It was too late anyway, they were in the middle of the entire room already. “We’re just one super happy couple in love who want to dance no matter if anyone is looking or not.” There was a teasing tone in her voice, but Damian knew she was right. The plan wasn’t bad. And he wasn’t a bad dancer either. Now, Raven he wasn’t too sure about, however.
“Are you sure you’ll be able to keep up?” He returned a grin and put a hand on her waist, pulling the girl closer to him.
“Don’t underestimate me, Wayne.” Her hand resting elegantly on his shoulder, they both started dancing to the slow music that the band was playing on the stage.
And, as they suspected, it didn’t take long for others to take notice of the only couple dancing. It was obvious they were both a bit nervous, though.
“I’m getting a lot of mixed reactions from the guests.” Raven commented, running her gaze around the people.
“Maybe we’re not making the impression we want.” Damian mused in thought. “Maybe you should smile more.”
“Says the guy who never smiles.” She scoffed at him, almost offended by what he said.
“Hey, I can smile. Look.” And he tried to put on the best smile that he could, but in the moment, it looked so tense and weird, she couldn’t help but laugh.
“Please, don’t do that.”
“Well, at the very least it made you smile.” He grinned.
Her cheeks turned red and she mumbled, “Oh, shut up.” Though she did have to admit that it eased the tension between them and the people started buying the act more. There were even some couples who joined them on the dance floor. Which wasn’t exactly something either of them had anticipated, but it was nice either way. At least they weren’t the only ones dancing by the end of it.
And Damian was indeed good. She felt really comfortable with him leading her and she didn’t stumble on her feet once, nor did she step on his, thank god. It was a surprise for her both because of the shoes and her lack of proper dance skills, which might have been more obvious if it wasn’t a slow dance.
When the song was finishing, Damian swirled the girl around holding her arm above her head and then bent her backwards holding her tight in his arms. It was clearly visible in her face that she hadn’t expected this. And a part of her hoped he wouldn’t drop her on the floor right then and there.
“Was that really necessary?” She whispered to him.
“You wanted the attention.” He shrugged and stood her back on her feet, the crowd around them clapping for their courage to be the first couple on the dance floor tonight.
It wasn’t unusual for Damian to be in the center of attention, so he merely put on a smile and gave a small wave. But Raven was tense and it was obvious. “Attention is the least thing I want. We only need it for the mission.”
Noticing her tensed figure, he gently nudged her as he offered his arm for her to hold onto again. “Just smile and do a little nod.” He instructed her and she complied, doing her best to look as natural as possible while the two of them slowly left the center scene.
Glancing sideways, Damian couldn’t help but note that, once she got into her role, it quite suited her. The confidence, the charm, the grace. She had it all. Something he’d never noticed before because she always chose to hide in the background.
“I need to sit down.” Raven huffed once they were out of the spotlight.
“Very well.” He nodded and made way to the nearest unoccupied table, first having Raven sit down before he took a seat opposite of her. Though, thinking for a moment, he then grabbed his chair and moved to the other side of the table right next to her. It didn’t bother her much until his arm extended behind her, resting on the backrest of her chair as he casually crossed his leg over the other, his gaze somewhere in the crowd. Blushing, the empath look over at him in mild confusion, which he noticed with the corner of his eyes.
“Don’t look at me like that. It’s only natural for couples to be close to each other at all times, especially in newly established relationships. Physical attraction is what initially pulls two people together. It wouldn’t feel genuine if you and I were to sit at such a distance from each other.” The black-haired male explained nonchalantly, still keeping his focus on something else than Raven.
“Right.” Well, he wasn’t exactly wrong. “You have quite the knowledge for someone who doesn’t date.”
“Tt. Dating is a waste of time and energy. It makes you vulnerable, especially in our line of work.”
“Maybe.” She leaned her head to the side in thought. “But if you truly love someone, it can also be a great strength.”
Damian merely hummed at her response, thinking of all the broken relationships in his family alone. His father and mother, his adoptive siblings - none of them had any happy endings. It just never lasted. So what was the point?
A few more moments of silence passed, both of them just staring out into the masses of people. This was interrupted, however, when Raven suddenly felt his hand over her own, taking it in a gentle grasp and slowly lifting it up. Blinking in surprise, she followed the movement and her heart skipped the moment she realized he was bringing the back of her palm to his lips ever so nonchalantly. Her pale face now red as a tomato, the first instinct she had was to instantly pull her hand back.
“What are you doing?” She gasped.
“What are you doing?” He snapped back, frowning. “You’re blowing our cover.”
Oh. Crap. She hadn’t thought of that. In fact, she hadn’t thought at all. She just saw him about to kiss her hand out of the blue and reacted. My god, she felt stupid now. Sighing, Damian leaned really close to her and talked in her ear.
“Listen-- Don’t look now, but there is a photographer for the Gotham Gazette sitting just a couple tables from us. If we get his attention, it’s damn sure it will be on the front page of tomorrow’s newspaper.”
Raven was listening to him, but all she could really focus on was the fact that he was so close to her. For some reason her heart was beating so fast no matter her best efforts to keep it calm. He smelled nice. Had she noticed that before?
“Now pretend I told you something funny.” Damian requested and that alone made her chuckle, but she did her best to drag it out into a full blown laugh.
“Oh, Damian~!” She laughed out, throwing her head back before leaning forward again to face him and lowered her voice, though keeping the sweetest smile on her face. “You really should warn me before you touch me like that if you don’t want our cover blown.”
“Oh, you mean like - I’m going to touch your face?”
“What--?” But Raven didn’t even have time to react properly before she felt his warm touch against her cheek, sending a shiver down her spine. “D-damian…”
“Physical affection. I told you. It’s what gets the attention of others.” He merely gave her half a smile.
“How can you be so.. so casual about it?”
“How can you not?” It was like he was almost surprised that Raven reacted the way that she did. And she knew it’d be pointless to try to explain it to him.
“Alright then.” With determination sparkling in her eyes, the girl reached her hand and made a gentle stroke down the side of his face. “Now don’t tell me it doesn’t feel nice.” She spoke in a soft tone of voice, looking right into his eyes, seeing exactly how taken aback he was even if the rest of his features remained as calm as ever. “That it doesn’t send a shiver down your spine and a tingle in the pit of your stomach?”
Her voice was almost teasing. Damian didn’t even dare to deny that she was right, as much as he didn’t want to admit it. Out loud anyway. Her delicate fingers brushing against his jawline, reaching behind his ear and sliding into his hair at the back of his neck while his own rested on the side of her face, his thumb softly drawing circles on her cheek, sliding down to her jaw and effortlessly grazing against her bottom lip… Green eyes darting down to her lips and then back up to her eyes agan... In a moment of impulse - which he never acted upon - he closed the gap between them with a soft, yet confident kiss.
Rendered breathless, it took Raven a moment to regain her senses. Her heart was racing a mile per hour, million and at the same time zero thoughts were running through her mind, her body not responding to any kind of reaction appropriate for a situation like this. But then again… She caught herself by the thought that she really just wanted to give in to this moment. Finally breathing in, her eyes closed and she returned the kiss, her hand gently tugging on his hair.
The world around them disappeared, even if for just a little while. The hundreds of stares disappeared, the room got quiet and it was just the two of them. And it was good like that. Just them. But reality kicked back soon enough. Pulling away, both of them took a deep breath, looking at each other almost in surprise and disbelief that what just happened was actually real. Then, Damian looked to the side and cursed under his breath.
“Shit. The photographer’s gone.” Right, back to the mission, as always. And Raven couldn’t help but to smile at that. Though, her hand reached to his face, gently turning it back to face her.
“Screw the photographer.”
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ BONUS ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Surely enough, the photo of the two of them kissing were all over the newspapers the next day.
“Starfire, what on Earth are you doing?” The distraught teen watched her cut the article out of the newspaper.
“I’m saving it.”
“What for?”
“Don’t you think it will be delightful to look back at your first kiss when you get married?” Kory spoke in a playfully teasing tone and chuckled at Damian deadpanning at her.
“Aren’t you thinking too far ahead with this?”
“Whoa--! Dude, are you trying to suck eat her face or something? Wow, that is some--” The sentence was not finished purely because of the sharp blade pointed right at Beast Boy’s face. “R-right. Got it.”
“I think they look cute together.” Jaime walked behind Kory to take a look at the picture and commented with a small shrug.
“I second that statement.” Donna chuckled only for the boy in question roll his eyes and grumble under his breath.
“Come on, Raven. We need to prepare for our next fake date if we want to catch this killer.” And with that, he grabbed the girl by the hand, pulling her from the spot she’d been standing completely frozen and red like a tomato throughout all this back-and-forth with the rest of the teammates. Little did they know that all the eyes were still on them and the entire team burst out in laughter as soon as they left the room. Together. Holding hands. To prepare for their “fake” date. Totally not in love with each other. No couple material there. Nope.

Damirae week day 3 : Drunk|(You all) that I want.
A/n: Continue from I'm a sucker series lol. Enjoy
Raven keeping her low profile as she reached the bar called Jackal's Sanctuary. Another forecast she felt this time she seen the venue and the time on digital clock which shows 11.11pm.
As she leaning to the lamp post nearby,  she pulled out her handphone and look at the time and it seems the digital clock shows. 8.11 pm,  another four hours to go.
As she put on her wireless headphone and starting to scroll some of her playlist on spotify,  she felt like someone is watching her.
Keep her cool face as she attentively listen to the latest Jonas Brothers song, she's been in the same situation before and who she call? Damian.
Speaking of Damian, he sould be arrive right now judging from the time they set up to meet. She sighed as she shoved her phone into her pocket. Still the feeling of her being watch still lingering and she felt it from the alley a few block behind her.
It took her alot of courage to take a look over her shoulder at it seems it was just a kitten who licking itself after having their meal. Is that a can of tuna?
She just shrug off the feeling.
"Sorry for kept you waiting."
Raven jolted then she turn around. It was him. The guy who shared her forecast with. She crossed her arm and arched her brow, "I thought you couldn't make it."
"There's some business that I can't simply avoid." he sighed as he adjusting his brown sweatshirt sleeves.
"By the way, i did try to recall what time when that incident will happen." Raven put down her headphone as she talk to him. "11.11pm." she added.
"Want to grab something to eat before we come back to this place?" Damian looked at his screen phone as he suggest.
"Why not?"
"There's a restaurant nearby and, where are you going?" Damian sees Raven went to the opposite street.
"There's a kebab stall over there!" raven shouted as she reached the other pavement.
Damian silent for a while then walk to where the stall is.
As soon as that young lad joined Raven, she ordered herself a chicken honey. Damian took his time and ordered Chicken tikka.
--------------
"Did you see it?" Dick whispered in their intercom as he's on the roof of the building nearby.
"Found the love birds!" Steph exclaimed as she and Cass appear at the building a bit nearer with Raven and Damian.
"Tim! Have you taken the picture?!" Jason who is now at the alley where the kitten raven saw earlier.
" I was trying to get a good shot, be patience!' Tim huffed as he concentrated on his camera lens.
"Do you have to drag me along , Dick?" Duke appeared beside Dick as he using enhanced binocular spying on his little brother.
"Damian went out with a girl is a rare occasion!" Babs using her grappling gun as she reached the rooftops. "Its an oppoturnity that won't be missed!" as she clasped her hand together. ----------
Something makes Damian annoyed and he looked at the rooftop building. Seems like nothing.
"What's the matter?" Raven asked after she bite her kebab.
"I felt someone watching us." as he stared the the building opposite to them then he stare real hard at that area.
"And i thought I was the only one." Raven mumbled as she bite down her food.
--------------
"Guys, I think he knows we're here." as Duke looked at them through Dick's binocular. As he refocused on the couple. He saw Damian who makes beheaded gesture while looking straight to him as if he saw them.Quickly Duke pass the device to Dick abruptly.
"What did you see?" Dick ask as soon as he had the binocular.
"He's gonna kill us." Duke muttered.
"Awwwww...."
"What do you mean awwww...."
"Little D is harmless , don't worry." Dick give his best smile.
"You didn't know how he almost kill the criminal in his closed case before?! He practically put them in trauma unit and there one  guy end up  like broken record!" Duke shivers.
"Well, he DIDN'T kill the guy, that's an improvement."
"Oh that guy deserve it, he turn the kidnap children into a living puppet. A puppet!" as Barbara took the binocular as she spy on the couple.
"Oh, Duke. He was frustrated at that time because he cant save children that has been modify but he manage to save a dozen of kids in the cage. You should seen him that time. "
"Still..."
"That doesn't change my perspective about him." Tim voice on intercom.
"Perspective?" Duke curious about the brilliant Detective Tim Drake opinion.
"A haughty brat who push me down the stairs."
"Come on, Tim. He was 10 at that time, it was 10 years ago."
"No, Nu-uh. The last time I try to be reasonable with him, he destroy my coffee machine! That was my elixir!"
"Timbo, you're becoming coffee zombie, talk about you went into coffee deprived coma." Steph's turn to talk.
"Seriously I can't even smoke in peace with that brat."
"You know he respect Alfred by doing his favor , Jason." Dick trying to defend his little brother.
"So, that was the reason why all of you guys into this 'Suicide mission'?" as Duke heard their reason.
"Yep." all of them answered it.
"What did he did to you, Cass?" Duke wonder about the assassin girl who speak less.
"He is happy."
"Look! Even Cass could tell he's happy with her!" Babs giggled.
" We didn't know anything about the girl's background." Duke shaking his head.
"This is a job for Spoiler to spill the bean." Steph let out her hearty laugh as she sharing the files in the Soaring bird database.
"Raven Roth, an art college student." Duke read her biodata.
"Wow! Check out the recognition she get! From Paris?" Babs look at Raven's photograph with her artwork called Librarian where she use text to form a potrait.
"An orphan." Cass speaks as she stared that Raven's mother section who is deceased.
"Still haven't found her father information though." Steph added.
"Poor girl." as Dick studied her profile picture.
-------------
"Uh, Damian. What's with that gesture?" Raven stared at him as he made the obvious gesture.
"A threat. Just to make sure that they'll stop following us." Damian answered with deep tone.
"I...hope it worked." Raven swallow her worriness.
"Hi, haven't seen you around before." a cheerful voice greets them.
As Raven looked at the person, Damian making hiss sound. Wait, he did that?
"Tt, Dick..." Damian grumbled.
"Uh, Sorry about my friend. He's kinda...." Raven tried to cover Damian's "curse".
"No, no, no. He's right."
"What?" Raven now puzzled.
"Nice to meet you, I'm Dick. Damian's elder brother." Dick held his hand towards her.
'Are you kidding me.' Raven completely dumbfound.
"Adoptive brother and how did you find us here?" Damian arched his brow. Just as he suspected, Jason had told them about it. Looks like the mission are getting more difficult but it seems there's only D....
"Mind if we're join in???!" a shrill voice were heard behind them.
Damian face palm, frustrating. Sounds like the whole Bat and Co. are coming.
"Hi, nice to meet you, I'm Steph! This is Cass and Babs." Steph immediately introduce herself and two other girls.
"Oh, Hi! Nice to meet you! I'm..."
"You must be Raven, right?" As Jason , Tim and Duke appear behind Dick.
"You voice sounds familiar, are you Mr.Wayne?" Raven asked politely.
Jason chuckled as soon as he heard it. "My apologise, Miss. I was playing on you to see your reaction. I'm Jason, this is Duke and Nerd Timbo over there." Tim let out annoying grunt as he looking on his tablet for his report.
"Oh." Raven speechless, now there's a swamp of Damian's sibling meeting her. This awkward situation.
"What the hell are you guys doing here?" Damian growling beside the blue hair girl.
"It's a coincidence to find you here." Dick gives out his best smile. Duke hid behind Jason trying to cover his nervousness.
"As if I would believe that!" The green eyed man spit out. "What are you guys doing here?" he asked again.
"Kebab!" The Bat and Co turn to Duke. The atmosphere went silent for a while following with Damian's simple question.
"What?"
"We're here for the Kebab." Duke pointing at the Kebab stall.
"I told you this Kebab stall are famous." Raven whispers to Damian. Damian rolled his eyes in respond.
"Whatever you say." as Damian glanced at his watch. It stated 10.30pm.
"So, you two have plans right?" Babs asked the 'fake' couple.
"Uh..." Raven unsured what to answer.
"Don't mind us. Continue your dates." said Steph after she ordered her food from that stall.
Damian kept his suspicious face then pull Raven's arm as they crossed to the otherside of the street as they about to investigate Raven's forecast happening at the small bar called Jackal's Santuary.
The Bat and Co saw both of them entering the premise as they eat their food.
"Aren't they look cute..." Dick with gleaming eyes.
" Pfftt. "Jason finished his mutton honey kebab and took a couple of sip from his malt drink which he bought from the same stall."Seriously Dick, you had me when you're trying to be CUPID and drag all of us."
+++++++++++
As they enter the bar, it was noisy with polka theme song and apparently it's filled Russian culture.
"Here I thought the bar more like generic pub but this is something else." Damian commented.
"They are more friendly?" says Raven who actually never been into clubs.
"No. More like a place for 'the big name' to meet." The big name what Damian actually meant are Criminal Lords who is untouchable by police department and authority. Probably they sack them enough to pardon all their DEEDs.
As they settle down at the table nearby the exit, a waitress came up to them which made Raven almost jolted and Damian saw her reaction.
"Welcome to Jackal's Sanctuary. can I take ya orda?" a thick accent blonde woman greets them as well as held her tablet by her hands.
"Can you get me a beer?"
"Beer for the lad, how about the lady?"
"Uh, water please." Raven timidly say.
The waitress stared her then make a shrug. "Water fer lady then. Enjoy ya day." She smiled and went to the bartender.
"What's the matter, Raven? Why are you look surprised?"
"That's her. I've seen her in the Forecast."
"I guess we better kept an eye on her and the perp." Damian muttered as he crossed arm while he observed surrounding. Who knows, he might find some mob boss that made trouble back at Gotham city before that he could put it away. Talk about those Cobblepot and Nygma gang that causing some damage in some part of the city where the people went jobless due to accident happen causing the factory to explode. Damian sighed and shake his head as he recall the incident.
"What's the matter?" Raven were concerned as she could felt his tense.
"Nothing, just thought about a case when I see these mafia-like meeting."
"A huge one?" as Raven put her hand together on the table.
"Old  and huge case."
Raven pressed her lip. As far as they were having 'fake' relationship, she never question his career seriously, when Damian said about the case, she might thought him as detective or undercover detective, like in the movies.
"I've been wondering, it's been 2 months we've known each other..." her words trailed off.
"And?" she got his attention.
"I've been wondering about what career are you in." she clasped her hand on the table.
There were silence between them.
"Let's just say, I consult the police."
"You seems to be serious about it." she chuckled.
"Of course or else they'll end up being useless department in my city." Damian put his chin on his hand as he stared at the entrance.
Then he saw a guy with suspicious character comes in.
As Damian eyeing on him, that guy spoke a few words to the bartender and went to the toilet, this is the cue where the interview starts.
"Blend in, Raven. I found someone that i need to TALK." Damian got up and went to the men's room.
"Alright then." she shrugged.
A few minutes later, the waitress come with their drinks. "Here's beer for the lad and water for the lady." she served a beer bottle and a shot glass to Raven.
Raven looked at the glass then at the waitress. "Really? In small glass?"
"This one is original from russia and its on the house." the waitress smiled and explained the drink.
"On house? That's lovely." Raven drink it one go and boy, she felt the burn run through her throat. She slammed the cup on the table and exhaled.
"Are you okay, lady?"
"This is the most unusual drink i have. Can i have another one?" Raven's loud voice causing the guys who seat near the bartender who witness it, shouted AY in merry way. Perhaps they are excited to watch a girl who appreciate the russian signature drink.
"Coming right up!" the lady giggled and went back to the bartender.
Each of the glass slammed on the table as she exhaled from drinking the 'water', they shouted AY and patted behind her. She is making history, in the club. Quite absurd but its true.
"What's happening here?" Damian come in as he saw the table being surrounded by the old guys russian as if Raven does drinking contest.
"Ow, Damian! This nice gentlemens giving me some water!" Raven laughed as her cheek burn red.
"Water?"
"Yeah, in small cup, maybe its special from Russia. I love it!" she held the glass and about to drink. Damian quickly snatch the cup from her and smelled it.
"Oh My God, this is Vodka." Damian put it at the side of the table that is unreachable for her.
"Wait, why are taking my water?" Raven whines as she tried to get it.
"Because you had enough of it." Damian glared at them and the crowd slowly disperse to their own table.
"Raven, look at the time." Damian shows at clock that shows 11.11pm but all she could see the clock arm spin faster.
"Make the clock stop, Damian."
Damian look at her as she try to focus on the clock. Oh no.
"How many water you're having?" Damian asked her as he crossed his arm.
"Uh..." Raven counting by fingers on both of her hands. " 3?" Damian look at the table, there's 6 glasses, he sighed. He shouldn't left her alone.
"It seems nothing happen by the way, we should go." He quickly get up and left a couple of bills on the table.
"Hey, lady. Why not stay a little longer? We have more stuff for you to see." an old russian who is one of the men that witness her drinking earlier.
"Oh! Damian, can't we stay abit longer, this nice gentlemen said wanna show me some of Russian roulette drink."
"You are my girlfriend and you are coming with me, now." Damian getting tensed.
"But..."
"I tell you what you want to know if you're coming with me." he sighed hoping she could follow him back.
"Oh! Okay then! Sorry, Mister. My boyfriend has something to tell me. Bye!" she waved like a kid and quickly follow the young lad out.
**********
"Pssttt....I just remember...aren't we fake boyfriend and fake girlfriend?" Raven whispered to Damian as he accompany her due to her drunken state.
"...It's our agreement."
"Are you the fake girlfriend then?"
"What?" that question really had him as he looked at her.
"If we're fake, I had to be fake boyfriend and you are the fake girlfriend." she giggled." Because I'm a girl and your friend, so I'm not your fake girlfriend."
He chuckled with her train of thoughts and pun attempted words. "That's not how it meant."
"So you are a fake boyfriend?" she looked at him from head to toes. " Does that means you are a fake boy? Or a fake friend?" Oh she got him speechless. "Which on is it?" as she poke his ribs.
"I think its the best way we go my apartment." as they reached at the high security gate. He couldn't afford to let this vulnerable Raven to sleep at her apartment especially after what happen to her roomie a few months ago. Damian use his card to enter, Raven were astonished and try to do the beep beep sound as if she goes into space ship. Before she attract more attention, Damian quickly grab her inside and went to the highest floor.
"What a huge room you got." as she walked in as soon as Damian open the door. He sighed. A bad decision to bring her to the club place.
Raven walk in happy tunes towards the huge window. "Amg, you have the best view!" She exclaimed.
He sighed and settle down her coat at the hanger and her purse on the table.
"Hey Damian!"
"What?"
"You still haven't answer."
"Answer what?" he tries to recall.
"That are you a fake boy or a fake friend?" Raven skidaddle towards him as she wanted to hear his answer.
"You really are drunk, Raven." he frowned.
"You are avoiding the answer! Are you a girl?! Oh we could have girls dates! go shopping together! Do sleepover, paint our nails!"
Never in their meeting Damian would seen Raven that's so cheerful, Raven that he usually met is sad and serious.
"I am a guy and a friend." at last he answer her.
"Hmmm...Good, I don't think I'm into girls like in sexual way, you made me confuse if you told me you're a girl." she giggled.
"What..." Damian blushes as he heard the words coming from her mouth. People say drunk people are honest to their words.
"Maybe I could paint your nails? I have that awesome nail polish green colour that match with you eyes." Raven grab his hand as she studied his finger nails, large and neat cut.
"Wait, Go back, You attracted to me?" Damian is confused state.
"Don't be silly. I like you." Raven shows her grin.
"Like...like like? Or just like?" he still uncertain with thing he heard from her mouth.
"You're funny. Like, like like!" she laughed and that made his face blushes.
"I'm quite certain that I'm not a fake girl." as she pull her collar blouse, look inside, at her torso.
"Raven."
"See?" she pull up her blouse and shows to Damian her upper body.
"STOP." Damian pull down her clothes as he looked away. She will kill him someday.
"You're not a fake girl either." as Raven tries to feel his chest but before she does, he grab both of her hands.
"I get it, we are not fake." he tried his best to keep his shit together.
"Good, you would make me question my sexuality if you were a girl and I like you as a boy." she smiled.
Raven has successfully made Damian Wayne flustered and blushed. Never in his life would meet a girl who had mess up his emotion like this moment.
"I never had girls party or sleepover before." she muttered as she remember her childhood. "Is this my first sleepover?"
"I...I don't know." Damian still find his words after being hitted by Raven's honest flirty words.
"It's my first sleepover yay!" she cheered. She's happy pacing as she bought him by pulling his hands along  to the sofa. "So, what are we gonna do?" as both of them sit down.
"What?"
"This sleepover! Are we gonna have pillow fight?"
"Adult sleepover with boyfriends means something else." Damian tried to kept his cool.
"What does it means?" Raven tilt her heard in curiousity.
"Sleep. Just Sleep." He didn't tell the actual thing.
"That's no fun at all. You must have 'boring' sleepover. Oh!! Maybe you never had any, just like me!!" she giggled.
'Does this girl knows what she's talking about?' his mind irritated with the statement.
"I don't sleep at other people's house or invite them to my apartment." Damian kept his serious face.
"Am I the first one to sleepover here?" she grab both of his hand. "I promise I'll make this sleepover fun!"
"Fun?" Damian arched his brow.
"Fun!" Raven with her gleaming eyes stared at him like a little girl.
"Do you have any extra clothes to wear? Mine is kinda smelly for this sleepover." she smelled her clothes and it reeks with sweat and smokes from the club before.
"Stay here. I'll go get some." Damian got up and when to his wardrobe.
********
"Here, use this." Damian gives her his shirt and shorts.
"Oh." as Raven received it , she about to pull out her blouse.
"Not here, Damn it!" Damian once again pull down her blouse, grab her and the clothes the walk to the bathroom.
"Change your clothes in here." Damian shade of red grew to his ears  as he put the clean clothes on the dry sink then he close the door.
"This shirt is so comfy!" as soon as she come out from the batroom.
"....you should wear some pants." as he seen her twiddling around as if she's wearing a dress.
" I don't need pants, it has cover my butt and you can't see it." as she pull the shirt that reached her thighs. Damian gulped as his eyes trailed on it.
"Alright , miss energetic. You better get some sleep or you'll end up with a headache." he walk to his bedroom which is huge and roomy. Neat with exquisite and modern furniture and the bed is a king size.
"Ohhh...this is comfy!" as she landed on the bed then rolled over to the edge of the bed. Damian just stood there unsure how to reach when she just casually rolled on his bed.
"You must be having fun before sleep." as she jumped on it.
"The bed is for sleeping, Raven."
"And PILLOW FIGHT!!" a pillow hit his face, bullseye.
"I win!" she held both of her hands high."I win i win i win!" she cheers as she jump on the bed.
"You can't win if I didn't forfeit." Damian grab the pillow that has been send by her.
"Or maybe you're just a sore lo-" Damian cut her words by smack her face with pillow he had.
"I win."
Raven fell on her bed and start to throw her tantrum. "It's not fair!"
"There is no rules in pillow fight."
"Oh, yeah?" Raven smack his face with two pillow causing him to fell on his bed.
Damian tried to get but Raven now on top of him, and held her pillow high.
"I win!" she exclaimed.
Damian were stunned with position he's in and hell, he try not to lose it. A girl in his shirt, on top of him in his bed. Consider it his lucky strike.
Shaking his head as he denied desire that stirred in his body. "Get off of me." he hissed.
Raven still on top of him hugging the pillow."No."
Damian groaned as his head hit the soft mattress beneath him. He felt her movement as she lean towards him. "What are you doing?" he scowled.
"You have very pretty eyes." Raven cup both of his cheek as her eyes studied his. Those eyes has blue and a bits of golden mixture that made them look like precious auric malachite gems. Raven slowly leaned towards him until both of their nose touch each other.
"Raven." Damian whispers then Raven plant a kis on his lips. Soft and chaste.
Damian can't help it as he closed his eyes feeling the soft of her lips, soft and lavender fragrance of her hair. His hands touch her arms, then her back moving down to her waist. He can hear her heart same pace as his. Faster.
Raven withdrawn as she take the air amused him. "Why are you laughing?"
"Why are you gasping?"
"I thought we hold our breath while we kissing?"
"Pfft. Let me show you."
He put his hand at the back of her back an pulled towards him. He crushed both their lips and savour it.
Raven felt like euphorial as they kissed in sensual way. As soon as they withdrawn, both of them panting, sucking oxygen filling their lungs.
"Wow."
"Wow?"
"I've never kiss anyone before."
"But you kissed me." Damian furrowed his brows.
"You're the first." She giggled then she landed her head on his chest.
"Raven?"
"Wake me up when September end , Damian." she whispered.
"Wait, What? After that kiss you just-" then he heard small snores came from her. Damian sighed, pull the pillow and landed his head on it.
"It's not even September." He sighed. "She wear MY clothes, rolling and jumping on MY bed, kissed ME and now sleep on TOP of ME" He mumbled under his breath as he stroke her hair. "This girl is unbelievable."
Using remote, he turn the lights into night lamp mode and closed his eyes as he's ready to enter slumberland.

damirae college au (yeah your passion for college au affected me haha) #68 - "You didn’t have to ask." please?
Disclaimer: Don’t own Teen Titans. Not making a profit.
A/N: These are still a thing. I had a lot of fun writing this… Yet another thing I want to continue. Oh college AUs…. How I love you! I was gonna wait to post this, but…. Here it is!!!
One Hundred Ways to Say ‘I Love You’ #68: “You didn’t have to ask. ”OTP: DamiRae - College AU
“You’re arrogant.”
Damian froze.
The air in the lecture hall suddenly felt dangerously tense as he felt the weight of his classmates’ gaze. Calmly, he set his pen down and turned slowly to the source of the comment.
“I was merely expressing my opinion.” He knew Alfred and his father would be quite proud of the restraint and professionalism he displayed in this moment. His eyes locked to the girl with soft messy light lavender waves. She sat a few rows behind him, dressed in a casual black tank top and ripped jeans showing her knee caps. A red jewel adorned the center of her forehead and a smirk curled against her lips as her gray eyes looked at him defiantly. “I’m not sure how that makes me arrogant.”
“You assume you have the power to decide who deserves to live or die.” She told him. He was pretty sure she was looking straight through him.
“I said people who are dangerous to society don’t deserve to be among society.” Damian repeated, calmly as he rested an elbow to the back of his chair. “I also stated that people who pose a serious threat to the safety of society should be executed.” He didn’t need to explain his first hand contact with those dangerous to society.
“Which is you deciding who should live or die, that makes you arrogant.” She nodded, unrepented. “Not to mention, the fact you’re not accounting for possibility of innocent people paying a high cost for their crimes.”
“Miss…”
“Rachel.”
“Miss Rachel,” Damian started, sizing his opponent up. “Are you trying to say that criminals- drug dealers, thieves, etc shouldn’t be removed from society? That murderers, rapists, and the like shouldn’t be put to death?”
“I never said that.” She shrugged, placing her pencil behind her ear. “I’m saying you or we as human beings should not have the power to control who lives or dies, especially when we are using an imperfect system.”
“Let me guess,” He chuckled. “You’re one of those people.”
Her head tilted, eyes narrowing dangerously. “Excuse me?”
“You’re one of those art department free spirits who has a problem with the death penalty, but not abortion right?” The words blurted from his lips faster than he could process them. He felt everyone, including the professor, cringe at the direction the conversation had taken.
Rachel chuckled a bit, her eyes looking positively wicked and wild at him. “And let me guess,” She started, leaning over her desk a bit. “You’re a trust fund baby here to get your fancy piece of paper to validate your position as the CEO of the company you’re going to inherit no matter how incompetent you are because nepotism, right?”
The professor cleared his throat as Damian’s jaw dropped.
“Alright, that’s enough for today.” The professor announced. “Read Chapter 14 and come prepared to discuss it next week.”
Damian sat in his seat feeling the sting from her words. He was rarely left speechless. Growing up the youngest brother in a competitive household, he learned how to hold his own physically and verbally. It was rare that someone, metaphorically or literally,  sucker punched him into silence.
“Hey.” Damian called, shaking off his shock and stopping Rachel’s descent down the stairs. “You didn’t have to ask that.” He was stuck somewhere between arousal and embarrassment. Damian wasn’t sure why he found her quick wit so attractive.
She moved closer to his seat, adjusting the bag on her shoulder. “I wasn’t asking, rhetorical question.” Rachel informed. “But, judging by your reaction, I wouldn’t say I was wrong about my assumption.”
“My last name is obvious, of course you knew that.” He countered.
She smirked, rolling her eyes. “You’re assuming I know your name.” Her arms folded in front of her. “Or care.”
Damian shook his head, he couldn’t help but be intrigued. “Than how did you know?” This was not the time to notice how bright her eyes were or how soft her light brown skin looked.
“You reek of privilege.”
“That’s stereotype.”
“Because your white?”
“Actually, I’m not fully white.” He smirked, folding his arms. “Nice try though.”
“Well you could certainly pass.” She told him, looking him up and down. “But we can talk about that privilege another day.”
“It’s not my fault you intentionally make yourself stand out more with your hair and jewel….”
“Chakra.” She corrected. “You mean stand out more because I’m a minority?”
“You’re Indian, aren’t you?”
“Partly.” Rachel confirmed with a small smile. “But that isn’t the point.”
“What is?”
“From your ten thousand dollar laptop, to your what,” She paused looking at his satchel. “Three thousand dollar school bag and thousand dollar shoes you casually wear with jeans and a t-shirt, you reek of privilege.” She stepped closer to him. “I’m guessing you aren’t used to being challenged or told no, huh?”
He laughed. “I’m the youngest of four brothers.”
“Poor you.” She told him dryly. “You’re arrogant,” She repeated, adjusting her bag on her shoulder. “And your hubris will be your downfall.”
“You don’t know me.” Damian assured, placing his things in his bag as he stood. “I’m not Icarus, that would be my brother Richard.”
She couldn’t help smiling at his reference. “I’ve seen enough guys like you.”
“Well I’ve seen enough of you art department hippies camped out on the quad smoking pot to make a difference.”
“I’m a psychology major.”
That explained a lot.
“As fun as this has been,” Rachel smirked, stepping away from him. “I have to get back to my drum circle now.” She joked, turning to continue her walk down the steps. “Later.”
“Wait, Rachel,” Damian called, chasing after her. “I was thinking we could get some coffee.” He didn’t know what possessed him to say that. He swallowed the lump in throat as he ignored the heat rising to the tops of his ears.
Rachel stopped at the bottom of the steps, she turned backed to him. “Seriously?” She snickered, biting on her bottom lip.
“Yea, I mean…” He sputtered. “We were having such a good conversation…” Damian trailed off awkwardly. He couldn’t remember the last time he’d stumbled over his words.
A slow grin spread across her lips. “Nope.” She answered, gazing at him softly. “Not today Damian.” She told him as she walked toward the door.
“I thought you didn’t know my name.” He called after her.
She laughed, giving him soft smile as she exited the room.
Damian couldn’t wait until next class.

Damirae Week 2021- Day 4
“Tale as old as Time” Day 4: Masquerade Ball
“I have a gift for you.”
Was all Damian had said to Raven one early winter morning. She couldn’t help but lift up a brow as she noticed his short black tail kept swishing back and forth. Damian was unusually pleased with himself as he explained her gift would be ready for her till midday. Raven couldn’t fathom what he had planned for her and agreed to stay in her room so the surprise wouldn’t be ruined. All morning Raven found herself walking in circles, she kept biting her lower lip with anticipation to what was in store for her. She looked up through her bedroom window noticing how the sunlight pierced through the white puffy clouds. Raven went ahead and opened the window all the way to allow the soft cold breeze of winter to enter her room.
The coldness did sting her for a bit, but Raven felt strangely delighted to be enveloped by it. She continued to gaze how everything was covered in perfect white snow. Raven hadn’t mentioned it to anyone, but this had been her first-time seeing snow, she had read about it in her books but seeing it in person was truly a marvelous sight to behold with one’s eyes. The forest surrounding Wayne Castle were all blanket in white, making everything seem like a frozen white sea.
Something Raven was just noticing was that her bedroom window had a view of the castle’s main gates. This made her recall when she had fled, the day she had seen Damian’s true beastly form for the first time. She winced at the memory thinking she truly acted like a fool before him. She had kept that memory suppress since the rest of the day that followed, she had been unconscious. Raven remembered she had had just passed the gates; she entered the forest when she heard a strange sound belonging to a creature she never met.
Raven had stopped and stood still, hoping to blend with the pine trees. Whatever inhabit the forest gave her a low growl and stayed well hidden in the trees. Raven carefully took a few steps back, hoping to give herself some distance from the creature. She darted her eyes through the trees’ thickest trunks and manage to see a black form dart between the trees. It looked huge, much bigger in body than Damian’s beastly form.
Raven continue to back away, lifting her hands in surrender, she prayed that her body would show she meant no harm. Taking another step back, Raven lost her footing as she hadn’t realized the small cliff behind her. Raven screamed, frantically swigging her arms hoping to grab hold onto anythingto lesson her fall, she continues to roll down as branches and rocks poked her whole body. In the distance the creature howled, Raven managed to catch the glimpse of black fur running down the hill faster then she, she felt her body slammed into it. She whimpered in pain, her head was throbbing very painfully, she carefully turned her head and looked up. The sun shined brilliantly, blinding Raven for a moment, all she could make out was a dark form over her, as it panted and watched her. Its eyes were black and it too like Damian’s were sad.
That was when Raven blacked out.
The next thing she knew was waking up in her bedroom with Damian’s sisters looking after her. Raven scanned the area from her window, hoping to catch maybe a glance of whatever lived beyond the castle. Damian or his family didn’t speak much of the creature but did label it to be some sort of monster that guarded the castle. Just another ‘addition’ the witch’s curse held. They believed she summoned some monster to make sure no one entered or even allow Damian to leave the castle. Not that Damian would ever leave, he felt there was no place for him beyond the castle.
A light knock on her bedroom door brought Raven back from her thoughts. She called out and Damian timidly entered her room.
“I have something for you, if you would please follow me.” Damian said as he bowed and extended his left paw towards her.
Raven couldn’t help but smile, at the gesture, she truly wanted to believe they had become somewhat the strangest of friends. She walked slowly towards him and wrapped her arm around his large arm. Damian smiled and Raven could had sworn she had seen a very faint blush cover her dark fur cheeks.
Damian guided her out of her room and took her through hallways and rooms around the castle. It always amazed her how hugethe castle truly was since she hadn’t really explored every bit of it. Raven only walked through the hallways she already knew, she believed if she venture further into the castle, she would be lost in the maze of hallways and chambers. Since their celebration a month ago, the castle was always kept clean, Damian’s siblings did all the work. Raven offered to help but Dick insisted that they had it under control, though he was always to stay away since most of the time it was him creating the messes they had to clean up.
Damian led Raven to which she assumed was the East wing of the castle. The hallway they were walking through had many glass windows lined to allow sunlight to illuminate the halls. Raven couldn’t help but gaze out and see the gardens now adorned with snow and ice crystals. In the distance she saw an ivory pavilion in the center. Raven then saw the hallway was nearing to some large wooden marble doors with golden swirl-like handles. They were opened and she quickly scanned the open room, it was very grand, bigger than any other room in the castle she had visited. It must be the ballroom, Raven thought to herself as she noticed the room held somewhat a circular shape and as a single grand golden chandelier lit it ceiling. She took a mental note on how to get to the room for she wanted to examine it more.
Down the hallway were a vast case of stairs which led to a to entrance of another large wooden doors. They walked up, Raven waiting for Damian to open the doors but he stopped and looked at them for a long moment before letting go of Raven’s arm and turning to face her.
“Before we enter, I must ask you to close your eyes.”
“Why?”
“It’s part of the surprise.” He added with a smile.
Raven lifted her brow but closed her eyes either way. She could hear as the doors slowly creaked opened, Damian carefully grabbed her hands and slowly guided her inside. Though her eyes were shut, Raven had to squint as she could feel the room was illuminated by the sun’s rays as her eyelids turned a crimson red.
Damian let go of her hands and cleared his throat, “You may open them now.”
As Raven did, she gasped and widen her eyes in amazement. Books covered the entire walls of the two-floor room. A library, she thought. Raven turned and turned as she study each shelf, marveling at every ancient texture that slumbered here, waiting for her to read and study each of them. Never in her life had Raven seen a collection like this, she had only every dreamt it. To add the library had a ceiling painting, it was a beautifully drawn art piece depicting the time-lapse of a rising sun, to it setting, and finally the sky decorated with small stars.  “It’s beautiful.” Raven managed to finally say.
“Do you like it?” Damian questioned her.
Raven couldn’t help but scoff at him, “like it? I love it! This place, I never seen anything like it. I can’t imagine someplace like this ever existed.”
Damian didn’t hide his huge grin as he continue to watch her circle the room, “then it’s yours. No one has ever entered this room since the curse was placed. My father treasured this room for many of the books you see belonged to my late-grandmother, Queen Martha. I believe you will value this library and every book the same way she did.”
Raven couldn’t find words to express how much she was grateful for this and the only thing she could do in that moment was wrap her arms around Damian in a tight hug.
~~~~
“Grayson, care to explain what you are doing?”
Damian growled at his brother as he watched him float around in his bedroom rummaging through his wardrobe. Annoyed and overly frustrated with his older brother’s meddling, Damian crossed his large fury arms across his chest and started tapping his foot on the ground rather loud.
Dick laughed happily, disregarding Damian in the room as he pulled out some clothing and bundled it up in his hands. “This will do nice,” Dick commented in a very low voice but still loud enough for Damian to hear. “Do you mind if I take this?”
Damian opened his mouth to protest but Dick continue, “No? Good. I will bring this back later today, make sure to bath extremely well and put on some cologne. The family and I have a little somethingplanned for later this evening.”
Damian let out an annoyed scoff, “And what if I don’t want to attend?”
“Oh, but you want to attend. Lady Raven has requested your company.” With that Dick exited the room leaving Damian with a dumbfounded face.
Raven had asked for his presence?  After his mind had finally wrapped around to what his brother had meant Damian immediately went to his personal bath and soaked in a rose petal bath and washed his fur. For good measures he washed himself four times. Throughout the day, he had to wonder what his family had planned, what Raven had planned for them. Damian had to admit, since he gifted Raven the family’s library, they had been spending more time together. When out strolling with himself, Damian would find Raven on the floor, reading a book before the fireplace. He would then join her and ask if he could listen to her read. She had the most beautiful voice. Damian would think to himself as he listens attentively to Raven as she brought every passage she read to life. Sometimes Damian would sit next to her, resulting in Raven leaning up against him as she read.
It was times like these Damian would notice his own heart would beat much faster and his insides felt like they were in a whirlpool. Damian was content to the moments he was allowed to be by her side. Though he would look at her and couldn’t help but wonder if she was truly happy to be with him and his family. He did treat her like his prisoner when they first met, he grimaced at the thought of how harshly he had treated Raven. Damian had treated her like a thief wanting to rob his family’s treasures. Not once since she stayed in his castle had Raven ever tried to steal or wanting to take anything to claim as her own.
Damian sighed heavily as his heart started to ache of the times, he could had been kinder to her. Perhaps he could had shown her his true form much earlier, so she hadn’t gotten hurt that one time. Though revealing himself was the last thing he wanted to do, she was so damn beautiful, almost as if she were a goddess brought down to the Earth share her beauty with mortals. Raven was truly a kind-hearted person, while he was a beast. Though now under these strange circumstances, Raven didn’t seem to mind at all his form, but was this truly a place for her? As much as he may want it, Raven wasn’t bound to the castle like everyone else. She was allowed to leave and go back wherever she had come from. That sudden thought of saying goodbye to her, hurt Damian greatly. He felt a sharpen pain compressed his chest, thinking of never seeing her sprawled before a fireplace reading.
A small gentle grunt shook Damian awake from his thoughts as he looked to his door, Dick’s body halfway through the door. He had a huge grin across his face, “You ready Dami?”
Damian only nodded.
~~~~
Dick had brought Damian an outfit he would only wear on special occasions. An emerald tailcoat with golden accents on the seams, over a black button dressing shirt, and a pair of black trousers. To finish his attire, Damian had been given a black domino mask to cover half his face. Yesterdaythis outfit would had not fitted him, but Damian could conclude that his brother had his suit tailored by Kori. As Damian followed Dick along a hallway, the young prince had to wonder what Raven was wearing. If he was dressed like this, then perhaps she was…
“We’re here.”
Dick commented softy as Damian looked up and in the middle of the ballroom, there she stood. Damian couldn’t help but gasp softy at the sight before him. Raven was there standing in a light strap lavender dress. It wasn’t extravagant as gowns he knew from centuries ago, instead the bodice was covered in lilac laces design to look like vines and fallen leaves. It hugged her carefully showcasing her beautiful curves. At the dip of her waist the dress was lightly fluffed. It wasn’t exaggerated puffy, instead it looked like she could walk calmly well and wasn’t weighed down as it lightly feathers over the ballroom floor. To compliment her gown, Raven wore long silk lilac gloves and a pearl-white feather mask.
Dick bowed and exited the room, leaving both his brother and Raven alone. As he closed the doors, an old phonograph started to play a soft melody. Damian cautiously walked towards her and for the first time in years he became aware of his steps. Damian briefly glanced down to look at his shadow, assuring himself he was taking careful and beautiful strides as he was once taught when he was a prince. He kept one arm behind his back while the other was folded across his chest, when he stood tall before Raven, he bow slowly toward her. “My lady.”
Damian peeked under his thick lashes to notice a small blush over Raven’s cheeks before she courtesy to him, lifting her dress as she did. “Your highness…” then she slowed rose back up and locked his gaze with her amethyst. “May I ask why we are dressed… like this?”
“Pardon? I was told you requested me tonight, I would-” Damian stopped himself long enough to realized what had occurred. This was a set-upplanned by his annoying family. Damian let out an annoyed sigh and wonder how he could make sure his family would stop putting him and Raven in uncomfortable circumstances. “It would seem we been played; I am sure my siblings planned for all of this, what I don’t understand is why here.”
Raven gave a half-hearted chuckle as she turned and study the decorated room. “Probably I am at fault, I was here earlier; readying, when your sisters came to check-up on me. Then I asked them what the ballroom had been like before the curse. They explained that every month there was a party and told me stories of the Annual Masquerade Ball, your family held for your people to celebrate the beginning of autumn.”
The ball, how did he manage to forget that?! “Yes, actually my father was the one who started the ball in order to give everyone in Gotham a chance to be something else, allow them to dream of the wonders outside their lives. Needless to say, that was how Koriand’r met my brother.”
“Really?”
“Yes, she was just a simple seamstress from the village. She came dressed in this brilliant crimson dress, one she made herself. Grayson fell hard for her; she was invited to the castle multiple times to fix our garments and create dresses for my sisters. After a few months Grayson proposed to her, and they were to be wedded when-”
When the cursed happened.
Damian didn’t want to tarnish the mood reflecting on what the curse had taken from them. They all been living under a blanket of sorrow for much too long. Though if it hadn’t been for the curse then Damian would had never met the beautiful woman who was standing before him.
The music from the old phonograph started to play rather loudly, making Raven lift her hands as they clasp Damian’s paws. “It would be a shame to waste this music.”  She never once left Damian’s gaze leave hers as she carefully placed one large paw behind her back and the other held her hand. “Please lead me, my lord.”
Damian couldn’t suppress the smile in him as he lifted her hand higher and swept her off the dancefloor.
Let this dream never end.

I need some time. A Damira fic.
After what happened on Wednesday Dani asks Amira for some time to think.
You can also read it on ao3
-------------------
Amira unlocks her phone for the fifth time in the last minute. After what happened on Wednesday she’s not sure if she should text him or not. Maybe it’d be best if they break up already, since she knows this won’t work out. But, a part of her can’t help wanting to try, wanting to fight for their relationship. Finally she decides to open the chat with Dani and text him.
First, she thinks about being completely honest, telling him that she feels bad about what happened and that she wants to talk to him, but she decides it’s better to act like nothing happened, at least until they can meet and talk. Amira doesn’t want to admit it, because she’s afraid of Dani’s answer, but she knows that, once they meet, she’ll have to ask him the question, if he wants to keep the relationship, and this time, knowing what that truly means. Trying not to get ahead of the situation she sends the text.
‘Daniiii, do you want to meet this weekend?’
Dani’s answer doesn’t take long to arrive, though it’s not what Amira expected.
‘I don’t think I can, I have a lot of rugby practices. We’ll talk next week, alright?’
Amira’s first reaction is panicking, Dani is avoiding her, she’s sure of that. He’s tired of her and he doesn’t know how to tell her. Amira tries to calm down then, maybe he’s just busy, a rugby tournament is near, but it’s also true that Dani has always found time to see Amira no matter what.
Amira’s phone sounds, telling her she received another message from Dani.
‘I’m sorry ♥’
Amira smiles when she reads the second text, which gives her hope. Still, Dani and her have a pending conversation, but it looks like it’ll have to wait till next week.
“Your parents weren’t home the whole weekend and you didn’t invite us?” Viri asks Cris on Monday at school.
Amira is only half listening to the conversation, paying more attention to her phone. Dani and her haven’t talked at all since Friday. But it’s Monday already and they’re supposed to be meeting this week. Amira is trying not to text him, she thinks he’s the one that should start the conversation since she doesn’t want to overwhelm him.
“Let her be, Vir, I’m sure she’s been very busy with Joana, am I right?” Eva comments, elbowing Cris playfully.
“I mean, we had to catch up after all this time…we had to talk and all that…” Cris says putting on an innocent face.
“Yeah, sure, talk…” Nora teases her.
“Okay fine, we’ve done more than talking…” Cris says winking “but I gotta say, we couldn’t do much since Dani’s been at home the hole weekend.”
Cris’ brother’s name catches Amira’s attention instantly. She looks at her friend frowning, something about what she said doesn’t make sense.
“Dani’s been at home the whole weekend?” Amira asks
“Uhm…yes, he didn’t have practice and he’s spent the whole weekend in his bedroom. Well, except on Saturday afternoon that I guessed he was meeting you, right?” Cris doesn’t understand the purpose of Amira’s question and why it’s relevant that Dani’s been at home during the weekend but when she notices Amira’s face she knows something is up.
“I have to go to the bathroom” Amira mumbles. She needs to leave to try to process what she just heard.
Dani told her he’d be busy the whole weekend but according to Cris he’s been at home, except on Saturday when he met someone but who? And if he was free, why didn’t he call her? All those questions keep coming to Amira’s mind, all of them unanswered. She’s deep in her thoughts that she doesn’t realize Cris is following her until she stops her.
“Amira, what’s wrong? Why did you leave?” Cris asks worried.
Amira tries to avoid looking at her, holding back the tears that are threatening to come out. She doesn’t even know why she wants to cry, frustration maybe, confusion perhaps, or worse, because of what Cris’ words just confirmed.
“Amira, what’s wrong?” Cris insists.
“You were right, Cris. I ended up overwhelming your brother and we fucked up. Congratulations, you were right”
Without giving Cris a chance to answer, Amira turns around and enters the building, silently thanking the bell for ringing right then.
Amira hasn’t waited for her when school ended. It’s not like Cris can blame her, they haven’t walked home together since last week, but today Cris really wanted to talk to Amira, ask her about what happened in the morning. Still, she has another person she can ask what’s going on to.
The first thing she does when she arrives home is checking that her mom is not home. Then she enters her brother’s bedroom.
“Fuck, Cris, can you knock?” Dani says from the bed, with his laptop on his lap.
“What happened with Amira, Dani?” Cris asks directly.
His relationship with Amira has been a taboo topic since Cris found out they were together, that’s why Dani is surprised when he hears the question.
“What do you mean?” Dani asks leaving the laptop on the bed and sitting down. “What did Amira tell you?”
“Well, her exact words were ‘congratulations Cris, you were right, I’ve overwhelmed your brother and we fucked up’” Cris sees her brother closing his eyes and shaking his head, that gesture makes Cris get worried. She came ready to fight her brother but she’s only know realizing that he might be feeling as bad as Amira. “Look Dani, I know I didn’t react the way I should when I found out about you two and fuck, I didn’t want to say what I said. Yes, your relationship is complicated but so is mine and I’m still happy with Joana. And…I don’t know…I don’t know what happened between you two but you can’t give up like that. You…you’re destined to be together.”
“Was it that hard to say?” Dani asks. He’s happy to hear his sister saying that but he’s also still resented because the support is coming too late.
“I’m sorry, I was surprised by the news and worried about Joana and I took it all out on you. I’m really sorry but…What happened, Dani? Because everything seemed to be going just fine and suddenly I was telling the girls that you were at home during the weekend and Amira stood up and left. I don’t understand. And, who did you meet on Saturday if it wasn’t her?” Cris stops for a second to think about what she just asked and the answer that comes to her mind makes her mad again “Tell me you’re not cheating on my best friend Dani because I swear to God I’ll kill you”
“Cris…” Dani sighs, knowing that all he can do now is telling the truth “Sit down and I’ll tell you.”
“Dani…”
“Cris, sit down, please. It’s a long story”
She’s been trying to study the whole afternoon but she can’t stop thinking about Dani. He clearly hasn’t told her the whole truth and she doesn’t know what to do about it. Should she text him or should she give him time to see if he’ll talk to her. Amira picks up her phone to check the time and her heart stops when she realizes she has a new text from Dani.
‘I’m sorry about the weekend. I just need some time, but we’ll talk this week and I’ll tell you all about it, alrigh?’
The text calms her down a bit, but it also makes her have more doubts. He needs time…to think about their relationship? And he has to tell her something but…what?
Two days later she still hasn’t talked to Dani. A part of her wants to call him or even go to her house and demand an explanation. But the other part of her stops her, Dani said he needs time and Amira wants to respect that. That doesn’t mean she’s not going crazy overthinking everything. And the worst part is she doesn’t have anyone to talk to. She thinks about talking to the girls but her relationship with Cris isn’t at its best right now and the rest of the girls would only be able to listen, like Nora did, but they can’t give her advices since they’ve never been in Amira’s situation. Deep down, Amira knows who would understand her, but she’s not sure about how her relationship with them is right now either. The thing is that staying at home won’t solve anything.
“Amira?”
She had so many doubts about coming here and now that she’s entered she knows why. Noor and Elena’s surprised faces say it all and the thing is Amira can’t blame them because she feels as uncomfortable as they look.
“Hi, I’m sorry I came unannounced but I was at home and…well…”
“You don’t have to apologize, Amira, you’re always welcomed here.” Elena tells her with a smile that makes Amira feel better.
“I’ve miss you guys, I’ve missed all of this”
“We’ve missed you too, and the kids too” Noor admits.
“I wanted…well I wanted to talk to you about something and…” Looking around the room Amira realizes someone is missing. “Isn’t Dounia here?”
“Nah, Dounia is meeting Dani agai…” Elena can’t finish the sentence because Noor elbows her to shut her up, but it’s too late, Elena realizes her mistake and widens her eyes.
“With Dani? Dounia? Again? I don’t understand, do they meet a lot or…?” Amira’s mind is going too fast trying to understand what’s going on but Noor and Elena’s silence isn’t helping “Guys, can you tell me what’s going on? Why are they meeting? Is it something related to rugby practice?”
Noor and Elena look at each other, not knowing what to say, which only makes Amira more nervous.
“Guys, please, what’s going on?”
“Amira, we don’t want to lie to you…” Elena starts saying
“But we can’t tell you what’s going on either, we promised we wouldn’t tell. I’m sorry” Noor finishes.
“But tell us what you wanted to talk about, it seemed important” Elena says trying to change the subject.
“No, it’s alright, forget it. I should go.”
Amira turns around and leaves, with more doubts than she arrived with.
The next day at school Amira sits alone on a bench trying to avoid the girls, she just can’t pay attention to any conversation right now. She takes out her phone and opens her conversation with Dani, but she closes it again, like she’s been doing since yesterday. She wants to text Dani and ask him what’s going on with Dounia, why is he meeting her, what is he hiding. But she doesn’t know if she’s ready to hear the answers. Her rational part tells her that there’s no way there’s something between Dani and Dounia, especially while Dani is Amira’s boyfriend. But the thing is, is Dani still Amira’s boyfriend? They haven’t seen each other in a week and Amira doesn’t even know what to think anymore.
“Hey, why are you here alone?”
Amira looks up and sees Cris standing in front of her.
“Nothing…I wanted to…think”
“I see, and what do you have to think about that’s making you look all sad?” Cris’ smile fades when she sees Amira’s worried expression and she instantly understands what’s going on. “I see…it’s about my brother right?”
Amira nods, Cris is probably the last  person she should be having this conversation with but she needs to talk to someone and Cris is here.
“Noor and Elena told me yesterday that he’s been meeting with Dounia.”
Amira notices that Cris is trying not to look at her while she bites her lip.
“And judging by your face I’m guessing you already knew that.” Amira waits for Cris to say something but when she doesn’t she keeps talking “Cris, what’s going on? Because I really don’t want to think the worst of the situation but…I don’t get it.”
“Ami…I just…”
“I know” Amira interrupts her. “You can’t tell me anything, he has to be the one that tells me. But he’s not speaking to me Cris, we haven’t seen each other in over a week.
Cris promised her brother that she wouldn’t say anything to Amira, that she’d let him be the one to tell her  the truth but it just hurts her so much seeing Amira like this.
“You and I are going out today”
“Cris I have to study and I just don’t feel like…”
“You and I are going to day” Cris states again.
If Cris is good at something it is getting what she wants and that’s why even though Amira tried to resist, in the end she’s accepted going out with Cris in the afternoon. However, even though she’s been asking Cris where they’re going for the past 10 minutes, Cris is not saying anything, just that she’ll find out soon enough. Five minutes later she stops abruptly.
“We’re here” Cris says pointing at the building behind Amira.
Amira turns around and frowns when she realizes where they are.
“Cris, what are we doing her?” Amira tries to find a reason to why Cris would bring her to the Mosque’s door but all she manages to do is getting more confused.
“He should be about to come out…” Cris says in a low voice
“What? Who? What’s going…?” Amira stops mid sentence when she sees him appear.
Clearly he wasn’t expecting to see them here because the moment he sees Amira he freezes.
“Go talk to him” Amira hears Cris saying.
Still in shock she turns to look at her friend, not knowing what to do.
“Go talk to him” Cris insists. “And Ami, I wasn’t right, I wasn’t right about anything I said to you. Now go talk to my brother.”
Cris pushes her gently to make her walk towards Dani who’s still trying to process what he’s seeing. Cris can’t help but smiling when she sees them getting closer and knows that her work here is done. With the smile still on her lips she decides to leave so they can be alone.
“What are you doing here?” Dani asks Amira when she reaches him.
“I think I should ask you the same question”
“Ami I wanted to tell you but I was waiting to have all the info and be sure and I swear I had decided to talk to you today and…”
“Dani, I don’t understand anything, what did you want to tell me? What were you doing at the Mosque?”
“I just…I’ll start from the beginning alright?” Dani tries to put his thoughts in order, he thought he’d had more time to prepare his explanation “When you told me all the things that you wanted in our relationship I accepted them because it meant being with you and I only wanted that. But…I never stopped to think about why, why you needed that, why you chose that. And I think that was my main mistake. When you told me on Wednesday that what happened on Saturday was a mistake I…I got mad because I didn’t understand why. And I didn’t understand because I never stopped to try to understand. That’s why I needed time.”
“I don’t think I’m following…” Amira admits, he understand what Dani is saying but she still doesn’t know what that has to do with him being at the Mosque.
“I mean…I didn’t meet you on the weekend because I stayed home…doing research, learning…I don’t know just getting info”
“But doing research about what?” Amira asks confused.
“About Islam, about how things work and why things are that way. I wanted to understand you better, understand your reasons to know if I can share them. Because for this relationship to work, Ami, we both need to be at the same starting point and for that I had to understand. That’s why I stayed at home, and that’s why I didn’t want to talk to you, because it was something I had to do on my own and because I didn’t want to get your hopes up or promise you something I didn’t know if it’ll work”
“You’ve spent the whole weekend doing research about Islam to try to understand me better? That’s it?” Amira needs to ask it out loud to confirm she’s actually following him
“Yes.”
“And what about Dounia? Because I know you’ve met her, several times”
“I ran into Dounia at the Mosque on Saturday”
“You came here on Saturday? Why?”
“Because when I was doing the research I kept reading people that said that when you have doubts it’s good to go talk to your Imam so…I came on Saturday to talk to him and tell him about my doubts.” Dani makes a pause so Amira can process everything. When he sees that Amira is not saying anything he understands she wants him to tell her everything. “So yeah, I ran into Dounia and of course she was surprised to see me here. I told her why I was here and she said that I could ask her if I needed help, to give my her point of view. And that’s why we’ve been meeting to…well to talk about this. She’s helped me a lot, actually.”
“And I thought…I don’t know that you were changing me for her or something”
“What? Of course not” Dani says shocked.
“I don’t know Dani. You weren’t talking to me, you lied to me about where you were and suddenly everyone knows you’re meeting with Dounia, everyone except me.” Amira tries to explain.
“I know..I’m sorry, for real, Ami.”
“And why are you here today? You had more doubts?”
“No…” Dani says shaking his head. “I came here today because…well I don’t know exactly why, I just know that every time I come here I feel…peaceful, I don’t know how to explain it but it feels good, I like talking to the Imam, it makes me feel…well, good. It’s like I needed to come. I’ve been coming here every day this week, I guess that’s why Cris knew where to find me. I had to tell her everything on Monday after she confronted me about hurting you. I never meant to hurt you, Ami.”
“I know…” Amira says, and she really knows. “And why didn’t you ask me directly? I could’ve told you what you needed to know”
“I know, I’m sorry. I just…I wanted to do this for myself, you know? I didn’t want to depend on you, or doing it for you but for me. You said that in Islam things are done because we want to do them, because it comes natural to us, right? Well, I wanted to do this for me.”
“Then, what does this mean exactly?”
“It means that I still want to kiss you and I don’t think that’s going to change” Dani admits but when he sees Amira’s worried face he quickly explains. “But I understand now the reasons behind your decision Ami, and I respect them…I even share them. I’m not saying it’s not going to be hard, I still have a lot to learn but…if you want to, I want to fight for this relationship…with everything from your list.”
Amira can’t help but smile at Dani’s words, still, she needs to be sure.
“Are you sure?”
“Yes, I’m sure. And Ami, I want to apologize about my shitty behavior on Wednesday, I was frustrated and I took it all out on you, I shouldn’t have done that. I promise you it won’t happen again. And of course we’re a normal couple”
“It’s alright, I get it. And Dani…” slowly Amira takes Dani’s hand for a couple of seconds to get his attention, after a gentle touch she lets go, a smile on her face. “I wanted to kiss you on Saturday too, I don’t want you to think I didn’t. It’s just that…”
“I know, and I understand, Ami, I truly do, now I do.” Dani says smiling back at her. “Then, everything is good between us?”
“Yes, it is.”
