summary going out in charleston with the cast after a long week of filming and enjoying your friday night with your friends.

"If you start to feel uncomfortable just let me know, baby" Drew whispered in your ear, placing his hand on your thigh and tapping it a few times as the car drew to a stop in front of the bar.

Turning back with a modest smile on your face, you say, "I will, don't worry," before kissing his cheek.

He smiles. Such a beautiful smile.

Drew's willingness to make you feel at ease is one of the many things you appreciate about him. No matter where you are, he wants you to be comfortable rather than uncomfortable.

After a hard week of filming season four of Outer Banks, the cast decided to spend the evening at one of their favorite bars in Charleston and unwind. You're not a member of the cast, but you tag along whenever there’s an outing.

Downtown was incredibly busy tonight, so the cast will be spotted by many. The plan was to keep close together in case something happened. Security informed Chase that they would have security inside to keep an eye on everyone.

"I can't wait to have a drink," Carlacia groans as she steps out of the SUV and fixes her hair.

"I feel you on that one," Maddie agrees.

Drew pushed you in front of him as he walked through the crowded bar, grabbing your waist with both hands. He made sure to keep you near to him since he didn't want you to leave his sight or be pushed back at random.

Second outing with my very well known boyfriend and I’ma shit my pants.

The moment you walked inside the bar, everyone turned their heads. This is nothing new. When fans greeted them or spoke with excitement, everyone smiled and waved in response which made fans even more excited.

Once you guys got your drinks, you guys started talking about various topics. The guys were in their own little group and girls were in theirs.

You and the girls were talking about going on a week-long girls' getaway this summer. Carlacia brought it up first a few days ago; she always has great ideas.

"I think it would be a lot of fun, and we'll be laying by the beach," Carlacia says, moving her hands in ocean wave motions that make the rest of the girls giggle.

After talking about the girls trip, Madison breaks the silence asking you about going out with Drew in public.

"So, Y/N, how does it feel being in your second outing with Drew?" Madison asked as she swirled her straw in her drink.

“Ooo good question,” Carlacia nudges Madison’s arm softly.

"It's still nerve-racking, but I think the more we go out as a couple, the less nervous I'll be," you explain to your friends, then look in Drew's way; he's chuckling at something JD said.

Drew and you have been together for three months, and the relationship is still fresh. He’s everything you ever dreamed of. The first time you went out as a couple was last month in Los Angeles, to one of your favorite cafes. This is your second outing together.

"I mean, that's completely understandable, Mariah and I were in the same boat when we first started dating," Madison says with a reassuring smile.

“Plus, you two make each other very happy and we all see it,” Maddie nudges in with complete honesty in her voice.

Hearing other people mention how Drew and you make each other happy undoubtedly makes your heart flutter with joy.

"Aw thank you, we always tell each other that we're each others person and the timing of us meeting was perfect" you continue to say.

After forty minutes, you've had two beers and are enjoying your time with your boyfriend and friends. Everyone was having a wonderful time. Fans came over and took pictures with the cast and a few of them took some with you too.

Conversations regarding filming were brought up, but the cast simply said what they were expected to say because Maddie had informed everyone before arriving at the bar that she would not be announcing the release date for season four.

We all know how that went the first time.

Drew's tall body stood behind you, one hand around your waist and the other holding a drink; your back rested on his chest, drink in hand. Every now and again, you'd sway to the music and chuckle.

“How are you feeling?” he asks you softly, only for you to hear.

You raise your free hand to his neck, bringing him down so you can whisper in his ear, "feeling quite great, you?" The sensation of his breath on your skin sent shivers down your spine.

"That makes me feel better, and if you're feeling great, I'm feeling great," he chuckles in your neck before giving you soft kisses, which caused you to giggle in response, so he kept doing it.

The feeling of phones in your direction, capturing the sweet moment between you and Drew.

As Drew pulls away, a bunch of fans appear in front of him, beaming with joy. Everyone then hugs the girls and asks how they are doing. They even requested to give you a hug, which surprised you because this never happens. It felt nice.

"Y/N right?" A fan asks with a smile, putting out her phone to take a picture with you. She wanted to make sure she got your name right, so she asked in this way.

"Yes, that is me. Would you like a picture? You inquire as you tuck a strand of your hair behind your ear. That’s the first thing you asked because typically fans come up asking for pictures.

She quickly nods, smiling, then pulls her phone out. You take a couple pictures together and start a conversation.

While having a great talk, you discovered that her mom and your aunt are really close friends. She was even more thrilled to hear about it. A few of her friends joined the chat, and they were all quite nice to you.

Drew appeared behind you, causing the girls to glance up in surprise that Drew Starkey was actually standing in front of them. Drew grinned, waved, and hugged them.

“How are you girls doing? Being safe I assume?” He asks with honesty, wanting to make sure they’re making good choices.

They answered with the same response.

"Oh get this, Taylor," you add, pointing to her so Drew understands who you're talking about, "mom is best friends with my aunt," chuckling with delight. Drew's jaw fell in surprise.

Eventually, the group of girls returned to their original spot, allowing you to enjoy the remainder of the night. They were really respectful throughout the entire process. 

You spent the remainder of the night close to Drew's embrace, drinking more with friends before returning to your apartments for a nice night's sleep.

MK's (and MKulia's) odds according to EP9-13 leaks. (Spoilers, obvi.)

hey all! i have too many thoughts and instead of going on a long ramble on my priv i thought i could.. y'know.. actually share my thoughts for once! i'm gonna say this right now that my thoughts may leave a rather negative tongue, so if mkulia (or mk!) is ur comfort and u don't wanna hear anything bad i suggest not reading this!! without further ado, time to ramble!

i'll talk about MK first before i talk about my thoughts on MKulia. right off the bat: she's getting eliminated EP9. this just goes without saying i think but i want to elaborate on this more. in EP8 we have: raj | wayne | julia | MK | caleb | priya | damien | zee in EP10 we see damien:

and in EP11 we see wayne and raj's clothes:

and going back to EP10's description, both julia and priya are mentioned:

AS FAR AS EP9 GOES, this leaves: raj | wayne | julia | MK | caleb | priya | damien MK is not mentioned nor seen. at all. and yes, raj is left up in the air as well but at least there is higher hopes for our silly guy. there has been the popular theory of "well, raj may have given wayne his hoodie to remember him!" but... i think the odds of that are low? raj gifting wayne something before getting eliminated is very plausible, but i see no reason as to why he'd give away his hoodie to him? i feel like if that was the case he would have given wayne something else IMO. even if we don't take it at full face value, there's still a very low chance that MK's safe from elimination (and she'd probably be safe for like another 2 episodes if she were to be safe EP9. the odds of her being a finalist are also incredibly low). after being outed as a cheater, she hasn't been doing all that well in challenges either and since EP9's challenge has to do something with breaking objects, i can only imagine how well she'd do with that. and MKulia can make their alliance not-so-obvious-and-not-so-strong for so long. people are gonna want to break them up. now let's say MK's out EP9. this leaves both priya and julia as the only female contestants remaining in the game. and assuming they're going to add a female finalist it's going to be julia. and ALSO assuming we're going to get helpers for the finale, we MAY get more mkulia content. it's not that bad! may i also add EP9's title is 'Breaking Up Is Hard To Do' while yes this is about prileb, this could also be about mkulia. with mk getting eliminated, julia has to deal with fighting on her own. and we know very well that julia cares for MK, platonic or not. So what does this mean for MKulia? people fail to realize what mk getting eliminated means. we get to see how julia deals with it (unless she just moves on and doesn't care like what priya kind of did when millie got eliminated ... i'd cry.)

plus, if MK does get eliminated next episode we'll have more MKulia content in EP9 without a doubt. there's still so many questions left unanswered and i'm sure those will be resolved before MK goes home. and honestly, i have high hopes. i think MKulia will end off on a sweet note. do i think we'll get canon MKulia? absolutely not. it'd be really nice, but i doubt it. at best, it'll probably be up to viewers interpretation whether or not julia's care for MK comes from a romantic or platonic standpoint. i think that's how far we're going to get. calling it queer bait is a little bit of an exaggeration IMO, then again i am very picky with the fandoms i am in so i don't really know what it's like to ship something that is possibly queerbait. we just gotta buckle up and endure whatever BS will get thrown at us MKulia nation. o7

and hopefully i am very wrong about this. i have extremely low expectations so i can be happy if im wrong LMFAO!!

Hello! It's the anon that sent 3 paragraphs in one single... I'm not really sure what to call it because it wasn't exactly a request. I'm glad I was able to brighten your evening, and honestly I was a bit worried you'd think I was being a bit over the top (social anxiety, my number one enemy). Surprise, though! I actually have a request this time! I loved your yan!grian drabble and one-shots so much I couldn't wait to finish the EVO smp before sending in a request of my own.

If you could, do you think you could write a yan!grian x reader one-shot. I was daydreaming a bit and it wandered off to a plot where basically, the reader acted as almost a lost puppy with grian. Following him everywhere, showing a clear fondess towards him with their loyalty, and just constantly being by his side. As time goes on, he's so used to their company that when they aren't near him, it becomes almost maddening. It's almost an obsessive need to have them around him, to protect them, to keep them with him.

It's a very rough idea, but it's been on my mind for a while, and maybe you could play with it a bit more in your own way (if you'd like to that is!). And my goodness, this one was just as long, or maybe even longer then the other message(?) I sent to your inbox. I am once again apologizing for that fact.

How Could You Say No?

With a new season came new opportunities. It had been an interesting start, that was for sure.

This time around many people had decided to take it slow and enjoy the new world, which of course you decided to do as well. You'd been invited on an adventure to find a home, an adventure where your crush was going too. How could you say no?

So to the mountain you'd gone, messing around. But soon enough people began to claim land. You claimed some right next to Grian.

You'd had a crush on him for some time, but never had the chance to get to know him, this season you wanted to change that.

Then the fishing began. You liked fishing, but it was much more enjoyable being around Grian. Plus, that change did happen, the two of you got to know each other well, talking all the while catching fish and treasure. You fished for hours upon hours, day after day. Grian even built a little fishing hut for the two of you to have some shelter, which was incredibly sweet of him.

It hadn't taken much longer for Grian to build a house either, yours popped up about a week after than. All the while the two of you still spent time together. Grian would invite you everywhere, mining, fishing, of course you'd go.

You'd been surprised when he asked you to be his, but happy. So very happy. The next day he gifted you a fully enchanted pickaxe, which of course you couldn't refuse. It was a gift after all.

When shops started popping up the two of you would go together, spending diamonds Grian insisted you have a share of. He helped you gather resources, although soon enough there was no need for them. Grian asked you to base with him, how could you say no?

The two of you spent even more time together, chopping down trees, mining through stone. Anything and everything you did, you did together. You have done ever since the server began.

Which brings us to today, you and Grian, sitting by the sea. Today there is no fishing, no need to fish, but Grian had asked you to come with him to sit by the ocean. So you did.

Your thoughts were left to wander, and suddenly you were left thinking of the empty wall in the kitchen and how you had the perfect painting at your house. Not that you had lived there, or even visited, in some time.

"G, I've figured out a solution to our empty wall problem." You say, breaking the silence. "Oh yeah?" "Yes, I know the perfect painting. I'll have to go get it though."

"Go get it? Now?" He asks. "I can, probably should really. You know what I'm like for remembering this kind of thing." You laugh sheepishly.

"But we're enjoying the ocean, like we used to. Can we go another time?" "I can go myself, it's only at my old house." You say.

Suddenly Grian's eyes are on you, you can feel them almost burning a hole in the side of your skull. "You can't go there alone, it could be dangerous." You turn to look at him, shrugging. "It can't be that dangerous, besides, I can handle myself." His eyes darken.

"I don't want you to get hurt, you know that. What would I do if you got hurt and I wasn't there to help?" You didn't think about that. "I, well, you can come with me then. I want to get this painting, it'll be perfect."

Grian sighs, taking your hand in his. "Okay, we'll go get it. I can't let you go alone." You smile at his words. He stands, helping you up.

The walk to the house is longer than you remember, and sure enough it's in a bit of a state. Nature has very much taken over, you didn't think it was that long since you'd left.

When Grian had asked you to move in it was done very quickly, most of your furniture wasn't needed, so it was either given to other hermits or left in the house for you to collect at a later date. Looking around inside you don't think you'll be back for most of the things you left.

The floorboards squeak under your weight and Grian's. Moss covers much of the floor, vines crawl along your walls. You move carefully towards the office, not wanting to hurt yourself. You're glad Grian came.

As you reach for the door handle Grian pulls you away, startling you. "Let me, just in case. I don't know what I'd do if something bad happened." You stare at him for a second, but nod "okay." It's not exactly like you can say no. He only wants to protect you.

Grian pulls open the door with ease, scraping at the moss on the floor as the wood moves. The office window is clearly broken, but the rest of the room looks okay. Grian steps in, holding your hand and pulling you gently along.

You spot the painting, propped up in the corner of the room. Many of the colours have faded from time in the sun, plus it seems to be cracked and peeling. You feel so disappointed seeing the state it's in now, knowing how beautiful it once was.

The piece was so unique, and now it mirrors its surroundings. You can't bring yourself to even pick it up, it's inseparable from this house now, a worn down broken place, no longer a home.

Noticing your increasing upset Grian gently guides you out of the house. You can't bring yourself to say no. He does more than that, holding your hand tightly and taking you all the way home.

The walk is silent, full of sorrow. You can't even bare to look back.

Grian doesn't take you into the house, he takes you up to the swing in the garden. He'd built it for you, a place where the two of you could relax, read, look out at the ocean from a distance. Compared to your old home this one is beautiful, perfectly crafted, delicately detailed. This is your home now. You try remind yourself of that, but still feel sad.

After some time in silence Grian speaks up. "I had something I wanted to ask you earlier, when we were on the beach. It's why I didn't want to leave, but you know I'd do anything for you." You nod slightly, knowing his words are true. His home changed for you, he changed for you. He looks after you and gets you gifts and allows you to be creative. He protects you from harm, takes care of you when you're sick, takes you on days out and adventures.

You turn your attention to him as he begins to speak again. "You're very special to me, truly you are. I don't want to spend a day of my life without you, ever. You mean too much to me. You've become a part of my home, my comfort, I can't lose you. I need you to be by my side, forever." You see the box, you see the ring. A beautiful piece, you wonder if he crafted it himself.

You look at the ring, at him. You glance at your surroundings, what a beautiful life he has created for you here. A life you don't have anywhere else with anyone else. "Marry me?" How could you say no?

Do you respond to comments? Why or why not? yes! although i didn't used to for some reason. lately my feeling is that they took the time to comment, so i always try to take the time to show appreciation for that.

What's the fic you've written with the angstiest ending? definitely A Troublesome Transition. i don't really do angst or character death all that often, but this one was cathartic to write.

What’s the fic you've written with the happiest ending? lol pretty much all of my fics have pretty happy endings. maybe Don't Fret Precious ( I'm Here ) ? it's a darker fic that definitely had the potential to be very angsty, but the reveal at the end and the devotion that these two lunatics have to one another is pretty sweet... maybe? LOL

Do you write crossovers? nah

Have you ever received hate on a fic? i got one "wtf is this" type comment on a fic on tumblr once, but i was pretty quick to block the person. i think mostly people are just surprised Homelander has the fandom he does

Do you write smut? If so, what kind? yes. very much so. pretty much any kind. i feel like i'm fairly well known for schmoopy sentimental sex and dirty talk though

Have you ever co-written a fic before? sort of! All That Glitters was a fic collab with @anon-nee, for which they were absolutely instrumental in the worldbuilding and keeping me motivated to keep writing. huge shoutouts to @jethrowest and @irenadel and everyone who consistently lets me blow up their dm's with my wips and helps me when i'm struggling to put words on the page. 🖤

What's a WIP that you want to finish but don't think you ever will? Puppet Master. i had really big plans for this one, but unfortunately it got lost in the shuffle and i've since repurposed the ideas i had for it.

What are your writing strengths? i think my strengths are characterization and keeping the world feeling grounded/true to the source material.

What are your writing weaknesses? i have a lot of insecurities about my fics being boring or not eventful enough. a lot of the times i focus so much on interpersonal relationships, i don't think there's really enough happening in the story. i'm also bad at bringing in ensemble casts. my fics definitely focus very heavily on just the two leads.

What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic? i tend to avoid it unless it's very simple established pet names/phrases or something. i use italics and descriptors if they're not speaking in english. if the POV character isn't meant to understand, i'll just describe how the characters are speaking to one another in that language.

What was the first fandom you wrote for? yu yu hakusho on quizilla LOL i was a HUGE weeb. also wrote for inuyasha.

What's a fandom/ship you haven't written for yet but want to kimiko/annie..... they deserve each other......

What's your favorite fic you've written? probably Eat Your Ego, Honey. it's my first multichapter fic, and i'm DETERMINED to finish it. i really love Layla, and i'm so touched by how everyone has responded to her. oc's can be a bit of a sore spot for me, but the reception to that fic really keeps me going and makes me so, so happy. plus i just think it's some of my best writing.

hey gina :) i’m driving home from the new york show from tonight and it was incredible! i got to meet so many cool people that i follow on here, they were all so sweet. i got to meet crinkle-eyed-boo (kim) and i kind of fangirled because she’s one of my favorite authors in the fandom! own the scars is one of my favorite fics EVER, so it was so cool to meet her. then i met hope, pop-punklouis, who was SO much fun to be around. we were doing mosh pits and conga lines, it was such a blast. when louis started singing 7, i absolutely lost my shit, LIKE THERE WAS NO WAY?? also take this with a grain of salt because i didn’t see the full reaction, but there was a flag with the larry hug on it, and i saw louis point up and to the side so i looked to where he was facing towards, and the girls had the flag raised, then they covered their mouths in shock. i also went to this show with my dad, and i made him this adorable louis shirt and SO many people were complimenting him, it was so fun. i also went to the asbury park show last night, and i was telling allie about this, but i wanted to tell you too! i got decently close, i was around 15ish rows from the barricade and i managed to bring in my rbb bear. the bear is almost an identical to the actually rbb, give or take a few colors of the stripes. so after kmm, he came to my side and i was holding the bear up, literally hoping and praying that he would see it. so before he went back to the middle, he stopped and noticed my bear. he shifted his glasses down his nose to get a better look, then he smiled and pointed directly at me and rbb. this and this are videos of the interaction from other people’s povs. i double checked with the people around me, and they all said it was at me!! then i proceeded to cry during bigger than me lol. plus there was a beautiful rainbow there tonight 🥹

Hello!! I just read all of the one shots you did for HP characters and I’m actually obsessed with your writing! I was wondering if you could do a one shot (James Potter & Female character, plus size if you are totally cool with that) I apologize if this is too long!!

James needs tutoring and he is partnered with hufflepuff!reader and she’s just so happy and super sweet to anyone and an air head. He starts to develop a crush as she helps him get his grades up (she obviously doesn’t notice) and he notices that people constantly use her and make snide comments about her behind her back and he just becomes super protective. He is always around her and one day he hears someone insulting her to the max because she accidentally bumped into them and he just goes off and starts a fight. They get caught and as he’s sent to Pomfrey to get fixed up she’s just questioning why he did that and it wasn’t worth it and he confesses his feelings and tells the reasoning and reader just goes wide eyed and starts tearing up and she confesses her feelings for him and why she never told him ( she never thought he would like her for her weight) and he just kisses her and next day he shows her off (arm around the shoulder, kissing her face, all the cutesie stuff) and all is right with the world.

Hey! Thank you, thank you! Totally cool with plus size, I would class myself as plus size! I ended up not saying if the reader was a Hufflepuff or not. James Potter x fem!reader

James Potter was smart, very, incredibly smart, but he just could not wrap his head around herbology. Luckily, Y/N L/N was in his class, and she seemed to have a way with plants.

“But why does it do that?” James is sitting on the floor, opposite his tutor.

“I don’t know,” she shrugs “For the exam we only need to know what it does, not why,” Y/n doesn’t bat an eye, continuing to doodle on her notepad, while James has practically an entire essay scribbled, she has plants, flowers and vines covering her page.

Y/N had been tutoring James for a few weeks now, and already James had shown incredible improvement in class, he’s also shown improvement in his chasing of Lily Evans. James had a new crush, an actual crush, on Y/n.

“Hey, do you wanna head to Hogsmeade this weekend?”

“Yeah!” Y/n looks up and sees the clock on the wall “Oh! I have Transfiguration next!”

“No babe you don’t,” James corrects, no malice in his voice “we have Herbology,”

“Oh,” Y/n looks embarrassed, and James is quick to correct that

“Come on, let’s go,” he stands and puts his hand out for Y/n to grab.

On their way to Herbology, James hears a few whispers behind them, but Y/n doesn’t notice. James had picked up on it a few times, and it annoyed him, but he didn’t say anything for the sake of Y/n. She’d never noticed before and James didn’t want her to suddenly notice because of him. But still, it wasn’t fair, these people were rude, disrespectful -

“Oh! Sorry!” Y/n’s bumped in to someone, a Slytherin

“Watch where you’re going!” the boy shouts “You’re taking up half the hallway!”

“Oi!” James raises his voice, stepping in front of Y/n “Don’t talk to her like that!”

“I’ll talk to her however I want,” and that’s it, that’s when James’ fuse breaks, and his arm swings in front of him, catching the Slytherin in the jaw.

“James!” Y/n tries to pull him back, but naturally, the Slytherin has fought back, and now the hallway is filled with cheering, many of them for James.

“Get ‘im James!”

“Slytherin vs Gryffindor!”

Really, everyone should have seen what was coming. James won, naturally, but he was the one staying in the hospital wing overnight.

Ryoga: This Japanese Christmas market’s a lot bigger than I was expecting.

Oishi: The two of them decided to visit this big advent calendar on display.

Ryoga: It’s just a calendar to countdown to Christmas.

Ryoma: It’s basically a wooden house with little drawers in it that are marked with the days until Christmas…

Ryoma: And each day you open a drawer there’s candy or other stuff inside.

Ryoga: They have a massive one on display, and they also have smaller ones over at this stall.

Mizuki: Ah, so this is what you’re referring to. It says it’s a sample product, but you’re still allowed to open the drawers.

Yuuta: Hm. Wonder what’s in them.

Mizuki: Well let’s open one and see, shall we.

Mizuki: So this one… has a candy inside.

Yuuta: A calendar with a different candy each day would be cool.

Mizuki: Not everything inside has to be candy, you know?

Mizuki: But regardless, it would be fun to count down the days to Christmas with one.

Ryoma: I wanna see what’s in the drawers in that big one on display.

Yuuta: Right. Maybe they’ll have these giant candies.

Mizuki: It was a very nice concert. The music was superb, but the host’s presentation was excellent as well.

Yeah, ok, some fun reunion porn for the big fandom and a collab with two pretty popular writers for the small fandom make sense for that top two in particular.

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

I try to, especially since I don't get that many, and I love getting comments so much that I just want to share my appreciation. Sometimes the spoons are low, sometimes I don't know what to say except "thanks!" and if someone just commented on several chapters I might not do that for all of them.

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

Well, Phoenix Fire is the Worst Ending, aka the destruction of the entire universe, plus unbearably sad between the main characters, so yeah.

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

I do have quite a bit of fluffy fic (Commit to the Bit comes to mind, there's also a Fantasy Costco Kravitz/Taako that's very sweet), but I immediately thought of for the benefit of all the broken hearts, just because it takes an incredibly bittersweet ending of the fic it's fixing and says FUCK THAT, how can everyone get a happy ending instead?

8. Do you get hate on fics?

I've never gotten any, even managed to avoid the twitter wank that WFU got when I wrote fics of it! (long ago, I did get some vagueblogging about some stuff in my TAZ fic, but nothing ever addressed directly at me)

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

That is where I started and why I started (my first smutty fic is pretty bad imho but it was popular, relatively speaking, because for a bit there it was the only unlocked smut for that pairing); my original rarepair was M/F bi4bi in a complicated polycule, and so there's some them+others works in there. (readers of for the benefit of all the broken hearts are nodding along like "ok this tracks") beyond that, I'm just going to say go look at my work.

10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?

Is for the benefit of all the broken hearts (and the rest of that series) a crossover??????? Like I'm legitimately staring into space thinking about the boundary line between modern AU and RPF and........ HUH.

183 thousand words in a series: the only life you could save, with my beloved Ryn, when we were "just friends" - started as our attempt to co-write a reconciliation between Taako and Lucretia, and spun out into an entire timeline with themes spanning before the Stolen Century all the way into post-canon. Some pieces we wrote separately, much of it we wrote together. Even the last piece, which I published after Ryn died, includes a section that they wrote, about Taako trying to cope with Lucretia's death.

14. What’s your all time favorite ship?

Probably Mulder/Scully lol, tho I don't know if I've ever read any fic of them????

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

One of my very first TAZ fics was a Hurley/Sloane backstory fic that was going to be basically a beat-for-beat retelling of The Fast and the Furious (oh, I guess that's also sort of a crossover?), but I only ever wrote the first chapter. I would love to write it at some point, because I think it would be fun as hell.

I'd also love to finish my TAZ Amnesty fic, sweetness follows, which is friends-to-lovers post-canon Minerva/Duck.

16. What are your writing strengths?

Character voice, I think. Possibly a stupid depth of canon knowledge for whatever the canon is, and I think I have a knack for figuring out how to reincorporate those details. Honestly, it's hard for me to say "oh these are my strengths and weaknesses", or at least today I'm having trouble pinning that down.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Punctuation Pokemon, or rather, my sentences do get very tangly. I find endings really tricky, I've done a lot of work thinking through how to stick the landing. (This is one of the ways in which Ryn continues to live in my head, because they could always spot when I hadn't quite made it.)

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

Alas my Spanish (high school and college) is too rusty to even try, and I don't know any other languages.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

The Adventure Zone, although I wrote quite a bit of Agatha Christie pastiche in junior high, and a lot of Anne Rice influenced original fiction in high school and college.

20. Favorite fic you’ve written?

I love a lot of my fic, it's fun to go back and look and say "oh that!", and The Reckoning Arrives is up there, of course, because I loved writing it, and it saved my life. ("she's survived the impossible before" got me out of my marriage and 2 years later got me through the hospital. "you're here, so be here" got me through what came after that.)

But it does have to be for the benefit of all the broken hearts - she lives in my head, still, and I feel incredibly proud of all the work I put into it, the technical work, the emotional work.

I did a really really bad job sleeping last night. After being so exhausted all day I was hoping I could go to sleep at a normal time but not. 3am. It was not a fun night. I had a horribly runny nose and a burning throat and I was just so uncomfortable. I could only breathe if I was sitting up. I was just having a pretty bad time. I tried reading for a while. And that helped a little but I was just not having fun. I did get to sleep eventually but it was a horrible struggle.

I woke up at 9 and felt. Fine. Not amazing. It felt like I was swallowing glass but mentally I was alright. I was looking forward to hanging out with Jess.

She was having a tough morning and thought she might be running late. But that was fine with me. I got washed and dressed and then wasn't sure what to do because I didn't know if she was ready to go yet.

So I made the decision to go wait on the car for a minute. And then I left. She would only be s few minutes behind me and it all worked out.

It was a pretty nice drive to Havre De Grace. I thought I hadn't been there before but it turned out it was near the decoy duck museum James took me to years ago. But this town was so cute.

I parked and read an article and then Jess was pulling in a few cars away from me. I was so happy to see her.

We would go to the vintage cafe. And at first it was nice and quiet but it would pretty quickly get incredibly loud for such a small space. I still really enjoyed our conversations and it was fun.

She got an omelet and I got a grilled cheese. We shared our potatoes (home fries and french fries). And it was a nice cheap little meal.

When we finished we would head down the street to one of the antique malls. There were a handful in this town which is very cool and gives us a good reason to come back.

This place was huge. And I had so much fun looking around. It is always interesting seeing how many of the same thing you fine, and how many weird things you find.

We also just had good funds today. Jess collects a specific type of basket. Or rather a specific brand. And she was looking for a larger one. She would find it, plus two medium sized ones. She also got a very cool candle holder. I would find some presious lilly of the valley wall hooks that will be perfect for the bathroom in the new house.

I would also find a little Boyd's bear panda. And a beautiful pressed flower bracelet. I wasn't sure I was going to actually get the bracelet but me and Jess were being really good about checking comp prices for everything on eBay and this bracelet was going to $110 so I was getting an amazing deal. And I love it. It's the state flower too so I love that.

We were having a lot of fun. Laughing at weird stuff. Like the double toilet bathroom. And just being silly and having a good time.

Once we were done there we paid and went to drop the bags off at the car. Then across the street to a retro reproduction and dead stock/pyrex store. She got a very cool pyrex shirt and I liked that people are using circuit machines to put Pyrex patterns on cups. I didn't find one I love but it's going on the wishlist for sure.

We decided we were antiqued out but we wanted to go to good will still. We would have to drive 15 minutes to go there. Which was fine except a big truck was parked behind me unloaded and I was kind of trapped. I was able to maneuver out, with no thanks to some guy making illegal moves to get the parking spot next to me. But I got out and was able to follow Jess to Aberdeen .

This wasn't an amazing goodwill. But Jess found a sweet jacket. I was a little horrified by some of the prices. Like $50 for a shitty scratched up skateboard. But it was still fun to look around.

We saw there was a restore across the street so we went to look there next. A very good selection but mostly just for ideas for us. Jess says she has most of the furniture she needs now. So it will be me searching for things once we move.

We didn't find the accordion wall hooks she was looking for but that's alright. She would find some online later.

We hugged and said goodbye. And we both headed home. I was getting tired.

The drive home kind of sucked. Some traffic but I just started feeling very very bad. Like head cold bad. Like I'm feeling very sick bad. It was kind I got hit with a brick wall. I desperately wanted to be home.

When I got back here I was excited to see I had a package. I had ordered new Minnetonka boots. And they are great and will keep my feet nice and warm.

After putting things away I got changed into my sweatsuit and laid down. I did not let myself sleep. I want to sleep tonight at a normal time. So I kept myself awake. And was just kind of miserable and not feeling well.

I waited for James to come home.

When they got back they babied me a bit. And would make sure I was alright before doing their short podcast episode for the night. And then they went to go and get us pizza. I got mine with broccoli. We don't really want to be eating out so much but we have no oven and no stove and it's very annoying. We have reached out to Tina and hopefully she solves this quick.

I had a few documents I had to send to the mortgage people. So that took some of my focus. And eventually I took a bath and scrolled on my phone which is not the safest but I was careful.

And now I am just. So tired. And very uncomfortable. I'm going to take a NyQuil and hopefully I can sleep and be well tomorrow. I'm not holding my breath because I think I have a cold. But I will try my best to take care of myself.

@ivory-coronet I've kept playing TotK and oh my god do you want to hear literally every thought out of my head on the topic?

BEWARE OF TOTK SPOILERS ALL YE WHO ENTER HERE

First I love all the little newspaper quests they're silly but they're fun and it's pretty nice going everywhere doing random shit that in like a third of cases are just the Yiga trying to fuck with you. I'd say Penn is useless but actually I think we're splitting the work pretty well: I do all the fieldwork and he writes the articles and gives them to Traysi! Great partnership. I just need the Gerudo Stable and I'll be done, but Ihope you can do stuff with him once the questline is over.

Also I can't help but notice you have way more of an impact on the world in a way? The NPCs remember you, they know who you are more often, I saw the two horse researchers and since I'd already talked to Malanya I got to tell the one who was interested in him that he did indeed exist, it's really really cool. And the rebuilding quests!! The Rito Village bridge! The Lookout Landing mini-stable!! The monster-control crew stuff!!! I really feel like I'm not just doing random sidequests for a reward but that I'm actually contributing to the world and the world knows it.

On the topic of the Wind Temple: it was great, you were right it didn't feel like an annoying dungeon! More like a traditional dungeon but not annoying like they usually are to me. It took me uuuh humiliatingly long to realise you had to use Tulin's gusts of wind on the turbines even though the Sage just straight up tells you to do that lol. The Sages stuff is incredible and I'm absolutely delighted by the fact that I've done a quarter of what was the main quest in BotW but I still don't know what's going to happen at the end of the game. In BotW you just knew where the final boss was and how things would more or less go from the end of the tutorial but here I'm still kind of at a loss. Like there's the Sages but there's also the Depths and the ruins in Kakariko! That said one of my friends who's also playing it said he stumbled upon the Mastersword and the final boss at random just exploring so uh. That must have been weird.

Plus on the topic of the Rito I need to be insane about this to as many people as possible because I was a Revalink kinda girl and I won't forget my roots: when Tulin gets the Great Eagle Bow after the temple... Babe that's MY bow!!! Give it to me it's MINE!!! It does 3x28 damage and it has a great design!!! I got it by beating the dungeon and saving your village almost alone last time!!!! I knew Revali and I wam/am a Champion too!!!!!! IT'S MY BOW GIVE IT BAAACK!!! Make your OWN bow Tulin!!!!! No for real I would be so happy to make a new group for the Sages and Link and make some fabric we can all wear and he can put it on his own bow someone made for him/helped him make but you gotta hand that back baby it's mine!!!!!!

Also I've been to see the Zoras as well and I'm at the entrance of the temple but not there yet so I won't say anything about the dungeon itself but 1) god Sidon.... dreamy sigh. Also 2) Yona isn't that ugly people are just mean. She's great she's sweet and she grew on me real fast. And 3) I really do not care about Finley's appearance relating to her quest in BotW I think it's some fun background stuff but I'm disappointed they didn't give her an older model like they did for Kass' kids. Like she's been waiting for that growth spurt for years now Nintendo just let her gain a few inches!!

Anyway what I want to talk about is the way they handled BotW's existence & a little bit its themes, which I personally think is the biggest flaw of the game. No mention of the Divine Beasts no mention of the towers or the shrines there's some stuff about the Calamity but it's rare I'm sooo mad like I was there for all of it!!! Why are you not saying anything!!!! We can't be forgetting history like three-five years after it happened!! I know they didn't want new players to the franchise to be lost but it's offensive Purah doesn't mention Sheikah tech when explaining the towers it's offensive the Zora chest armour's description just goes 'made by a Zora princess for her future husband' like the Zora princess in question wasn't Link's childhood best friend and he wasn't supposed to be the future husband it's offensive there's no mention of Revali anywhere except the landing is still called Revali's Landing when he had extremely similar powers to Tulin and Teba spent his childhood talking about the legendary champion to him and he has his damn bow in his back!!!!!! I'm so mad!!!! Why Nintendo why!!!

And when I said themes I meant that I'm sad the Sages are all descendants of the original Sages. Cause see the new champions all occupied the same roles as the old champions (greatest Rito warrior, Zora royalty, Gerudo chief, Goron boss (to be)) but while the others all were descendants of the OGs Teba wasn't. It said something about the characters and their villages and what they all valued. And now we're totally forgetting Revali when he's relatively recent (100 years compared to like 5 000) and had similar powers because "what if the player hasn't played BotW". Honestly it made me feel like the shitty 180 the Star Wars sequels pulled with Rey where the message was that whoever her family was didn't matter because she got to decide her own path and - oh wait no her grandpa was Palpatine it was always meant to be fuck off. Like none of them need to be related to the OG Sages but if Sidon or Riju are it's at least coherent with the fact their tribes (?) both seem to have a hereditary thing going on with their leadership. But Tulin really doesn't!! The Ritos don't work like that!! The point was hard work!!! I'm so mad about this one. Note that I don't say anything about Daruk and Yunobo because Yunobo is sweet but Daruk's personality is flatter than a sheet of paper in BotW, especially compared to AoC. I guess at least Mipha's statue is still there and they namedrop her once really badly :)))

Anway I also went to the Depths because I need that camera and it caused me worse stress than walking around Central Hyrule at the start of BotW. So. Not hyped to have to go there more.

Anyway, I feel like you're someone who would put a lot of thought in your layout, so if you have any thoughts behind it I would love to hear them.

!! That is such a huge compliment thank you so much. I hope you enjoy whatever you decide to do with that creative energy! I have reread the tags you left on that piece about five times because they are so so sweet and you took the time to point out specific parts and as an artist that is always!! such a fun part to read. had to stim out the happy!

Now to answer your question, yep there was a fair amount of thought put into everything! The one exception is the clothes--Sophie, Dex, and Keefe had specific outfits attributed to their characters throughout the series and I based Linh's on her Nightfall cover outfit, but otherwise it was just "what can I easily do with how I've drawn their bodies already?

I wanted to have 1-2 characters per color (3 seemed crowded), and I used the meanings of the colors to decide most of where I put everyone...the explanations of which got very long so!! under a cut!

up first is pink, which represents sex and noticeably doesn't have a character. as this is a middle grade series and I was working with the main characters, there isn't really anyone who I feel fits that. The closest I could think was Ro, but I didn't want to include bodyguards for this piece. So I considered doing a landscape, but there are so many places that I couldn't pick one, so then I turned to quotes. I wanted one related to love and life that could fit the spirit of the message I wanted, and that's how I ended up picking the Mr. Forkle dying speech quote. Because it's about living your life, continuing on, and being happy. And I think that's a essential message for pride, to be happy and to live your life. Love people if you want, take risks, fight when you can. the flowers were more to fill space than anything, but I think they're nice either way

Red is supposedly Sophie's color, but it also represents life and that's something she's been denied the chance to fully experience due to standing out everywhere she goes, so I wanted to give her a chance to be alone and asked "what would she do if she had an afternoon to herself?" and remembered the books she had in her human room and how she brought her ipod to the lost cities and hasn't really used it, so I figured I'd draw her having a chance to live her life by herself for once! then I also pointed out recently that she wears a very specific white outfit on a lot of covers, hence the clothes. and i wanted to represent different aspects of her life, which brought in ella (a human aspect) and iggy (the elven) and the book (a tie)

Orange is healing, which I thought fit with Keefe and Dex best (I considered Marella as well but ended up putting her in yellow). Keefe's been trying to heal from the broken family he was raised in and the trauma he's endured, and while he's not there quite yet it's going to be an instrumental part of who he is. Then Dex has had an arc of coming to terms with a lot of grudges he's had against the world and letting them go, healing from the hurt and moving past it to live a life he enjoys without anger--and the Dex/Keefe pairing works well together, so that was a plus as well. For their background I tried to make a blend of the description of Dex's own lab and the drawings we have of Slurps and Burps, so it's predominantly Dex's stuff and knick-knacks and experiments, but you'll notice on the middle of the shelf is a certain Mrs. Stinkbottom to represent keefe!!

Yellow is sunlight, so it seemed only natural to draw on two of the characters who are most related to light--Wylie and Marella. I also consider Biana to be a light character, but found her better suited for violet. And even if they might also relate to healing or life or spirit, one of the things they bring to the story is shining light on different things. They both bring attention to different issues and bring them to the forefront, shining the light on them. On the consequences of the world they live in, so it was like a bonus double alongside having abilities that can literally create light!! And then the way they're posed to be using their abilities in tandem was a nice instant of the two of them having visible abilities that are similar to each other, and I wanted to make the way they stood unique. Everyone is positioned slightly different for variety, so I thought it would be fun to have them reaching for each other and the rays of light and sparkles came from that

Green is nature, which originally gave me a pause because there aren't any nature related main characters--there's the gnomes, but I was specifically focusing on the kotlcrew here and the closest is Linh, who I'd already decided would be indigo. So then i decided to go a little deeper and remembered that Stina works with unicorns at Sterling Gables, which seemed like a perfect fit. Her empathy plays a huge part in her unicorn work, so it seemed only natural for them to be super close and for it to be a soft moment, so no huge grin. Just her in the moment--then to amplify the nature sense I added the foliage around. She's also frequently alone and not as integrated into the group, so it seemed more appropriate for her to be alone

then there's teal!! which is magic/art. I will admit a big part of why Fitz is there is because of the teal eyes, but I also drew a little on the "magic is just what humans call what they don't understand" (paraphrased) line from book one where Fitz laughed at the idea...while also showing Sophie a world she didn't understand, effectively showing her magic. I thought it was a fun little contradiction. And then Maruca was like this magic solution to everyone else with Sophie's "This changes everything!!" though she tried to reason through. She's the wild card, the game changer, the shift. I think there's a certain amount of magic in that--also she distinctly didn't feel like any of the others except maybe violet. Also just happened to work out to make one of her locs the teal :). Their background is less detail than everyone else because their abilities are hard to represent and they don't have a specific Thing in common or in contradiction that's as recognizable, so I ended up just trying to represent who they are in the lines. Fitz with clean, straight lines representing his straightfoward approach to things, and Maruca with lightning because her ability is like energy and because she's unpredictable and powerful.

And then the indigo, which is serenity, I simply had to give to Linh. She is so wise beyond her years and has this approach of kindness when possible while unafraid to be brunt and forceful when needed, and I think that kind of understanding of herself gives her the attitude we recognize. It's the kind of thing that leads to peace with yourself, to serenity. It also doesn't hurt that she's a water character and indigo is very blue. So to work with both the water and the serenity i posed her with the calm expression and flowing hair, body open because she's trusting and in control of herself. I tried to keep her background as simple as I could to really hammer home that idea of calmness compared to some of the chaotic lines and scattered details in other backgrounds.

And finally, the violet!! representing spirit, I found both the vibe of the color and it's meaning to fit Biana and Tam. They both have such strong convictions and feelings about so much--not that others don't--that they're like...the spirit of the group. The confidence of Biana and the reservations of Tam and his stark hatred for the world. They represent perspectives and mindsets in ways others don't. Tam also works with shadows and the unseen and the quiet, and if you interpret spirit in the sort of soul/creature/unseen inhumanity then I think he matches. Plus i've always associated Biana with purple. Their background was kind of a surprise because I was just brainstorming and then went...wait a minute light and dark. sun and moon. optimism and pessimism. they're compliments to each other. Biana's ability revolves around light and she's a positive person and Tam's revolves around darkness and doubt. they're like night and day, and from there the background was born--though that reasoning is also part of why they're back to back. it was a new pose and also represented how they're close but still so different, which i thought was fun

so that was kinda my thought process behind the choices I made for who went where and why they were drawn the way they were!! I also made the choice to have them all smiling with their eyes closed--smiling, because the drawing is about being proud and happy in who you are, and eyes closed because of the vibes. Seriously I tries to draw like 3 different people with their eyes open and it just felt wrong. It didn't help that I was doing everything on such a small scale. literally some things I did pixel by pixel because everything was so small to fit in all in the proportions I wanted.

admiii please share your luisa/lando pr theory

Disclaimer: I don’t think they were PR but I understand why some people think they were, so this is why I’m sharing the reasons why I think some are convinced they were in fact PR. I also don’t think Luisa was/is an attention seeker, so this is all for the sake of the PR look of it.

1. The start of it: The rumors about them were going on for MONTHS to the point that this whole thing was incredibly exhausting, just remember how the blog was by that time. Everything started with a pink watch.

We saw videos of Lando getting cozy with a “random girl”, which if the timings are correct, they were already dating, but we didn’t know about it. This had people trying to find who this girl was. and then her identity was revealed after like half an hour. How did they manage to find her? I think Max F already followed her and on some pictures she posted, she was wearing the pink watch everyone was going nuts about.

2. The hints + wondering what their romantic status is: After the Croatia trip, we saw Luisa and Lando sometimes hinting about being with the other. Max F added to the mix as well. This had people talking about it on blogs, Twitter, Instagram, whatever you can think of, which brought more attention to the both of them, especially her. Her following slowly started to rise when people started suspecting that there might be something more between the two than just a summer thing.

Task 2: Slowly gaining followers and engagement ✅

3. Making it official: After months and months of just hints and speculation, they finally became official. Luisa’s following increased like a beast, and every time they posted each other, she gained more and more followers; which meant more engagement and interaction on her profile, and because of this, she gained more opportunities and exposure.

4. What was in for both of them?

Luisa: Like I said, I don’t think she’s an attention seeker and in fact think she was one of the most genuine wags, but again, we’re talking about the possibility of a PR relationship here.

Luisa had around 20K or something like that followers on ig before all of this happened. She was already a model doing some small projects here and there but was only known in Portugal apparently. And if you want to be a successful model, you need more, because there are many models in the world, but not many of them can make an impact. This is why she needed the exposure.

She got some deals while this lasted and probably will get some more now that she has modeled for different brands and has done different projects along the way. Also she’s not problematic so that’s a plus both for her and the brands that are interested in her.

Lando: We know how Lando is and many girls above the age of 14 wouldn’t date him even if they were getting paid because of his attitude. He has slowly been showing his true colors and not many people like his attitude. From the way he joked and talked about women -I don’t know if this was true- to the way he was acting when Daniel was new to the team. Not to mention his sarcastic remarks at the wrong time.

This is why a girl like Luisa was perfect for him. She is the complete opposite, a sweet and soft girl who isn’t rude to anyone and has always been respectful, if those dms are real ofc.

Lando making a girl like her happy gives the people another “side” of him. It shows people that inside his egocentric and rude persona, there’s this soft spot. Now many see him as a nice and sweet guy again.

5. Why did it end?: Remember these relationships are under a contract, so they don’t tend to last that long. They last around a year, two maximum. Look at Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello, they were the perfect example of a PR relationship.

Lando posted a month ago or smth like that a post celebrating their first year anniversary, so maybe the contract was already coming to an end. Or by the looks of it, forced to end or handle it in a different way due to the recent cheating accusations that they didn’t see coming.

Also, the typical PR relationship break up announcement goes the same way Lando wrote it on his story: “We have mutually agreed that” “We both came to the decision that” + saying they are going to keep being friends + asking for privacy + thanking fans for the support.

Again, I don’t think they were PR, but I came up with a theory that would make sense if they were.

I finally have a chance to sit down and reflect on the Halsey show.

In one word - incredible.

Big spoilers for the Love and Power tour below - I'm going to go over as many songs and moments as I can!

It started with The Tradition, which was especially interesting at Red Rocks because it's an amphitheater (naturally formed by red rock, hence the name), so she when she opened the show on the catwalk rig, it really took a moment to see where she was, and it let the visuals really shine

Speaking of which - fucking AMAZING visuals, all of the graphics for each song fit so well and the lighting was so perfect. Plus there was pyrotechnics and fireworks...it was crazy. I've been to two other Red Rocks shows and this was by far the biggest and most impressive production I've seen there.

The video packages in between songs and sections were so well thought out and really underlined the horror element. I think what I loved the most was how grotesque it got - the visuals were truly disturbing, including stuff like eye gore/horror, one scene where she bangs her head against a sink until her teeth fall out, one of her all wrapped up post-surgery... it was very effective and creepy imagery and it definitely added a whole other level of flavor to the songs

There was even this moment in the middle where they were like "this next part is really sugary sweet and pop-y" and they played songs like Be Kind, Colors, So Good, etc - and the visuals morphed a little more to reflect that, becoming a little sweeter, which was especially cool because that was the "Release" and "Reflect" chapters of the setlist

Plus they had these really beautiful spoken word interludes... I hope someone has transcribed them or recorded them, I really want to see them again. I only recorded a few things because I was so caught up in the show that I completely forgot to take my phone out, haha.

I was so so happy with what they played, I ended up being really excited about a lot of the changes, since I've been following the setlist so closely all tour, lmao. So when she said "tonight's show is gonna be a little different than the rest of the tour" I lost my mind. I mentioned it before but they played "Hold Me Down" and "Heaven in Hiding" and "You asked for this" which were all songs I didn't think I'd hear at all. And I prefer all of those over their alternate songs from other parts of the tour.

They said that Red Rocks is like their living room because they've played it so much, and that it's special to them because it's where they had their first real conversation with Alev. But they also said it was the site of (what they consider) one of their worst-ever shows, during the HFK tour. Someone nearby yelled "It was really good!!" which was cute.

I ended up in a great part of the crowd. One of the weird things about Red Rocks - and I bet this is true for a lot of venues, but especially for Red Rocks - it's such a special and beautiful place to see live music (Halsey literally called it "the most beautiful venue in the world" which like, BRAG) that a lot of times you'll get people there who don't know the artist at all and are just there to see a show at Red Rocks. There was such an interesting blend of ages because of that - everyone from tweens/teens to college kids to people in their 30s and 40s, and even like, a handful of much older people. So it definitely wasn't just an arena full of Halsey stans, haha.

I was a little disappointed, but H put on an incredible show, so I can't imagine anyone leaving not at least a little bit impressed by them. There were a lot of parents with their kids, which was cute - we actually ended up next to a family, a mom and a dad and their kid, and it was the kid's first concert. And the mom and dad were dancing and singing along, and being so supportive, it was sooo sweet. And the mom confided in my best friend that she was worried that her kid wasn't having a good time, so we tried to dance with them - but honestly I think they were a bit overwhelmed, I definitely would've been too at that age.

And on my other side was this gorgeous gorgeous person, I'm not sure if they were gay or nonbinary or just queer, but they were wearing a flawless face of makeup and working this mustache along with it. (Honestly? Incredible place for outfits and looks, people really went all out and it was all really edgy, fun, Halsey-inspired looks. I even saw a girl in Halsey's outfit from "You should be sad") But the person next to me and I vibed so much, we kept screaming the lyrics together and making jokes and stuff - and making a concert friend is one of the best things that can happen at a concert, such a lovely and intimate and honest encounter, even better because it was so fleeting!

I couldn't see the stage suuuuper well, I was definitely in the middle of the amphitheater and someone kinda tall was in front of me, lol. So I ended up watching the screens a lot. But when I did manage to catch her on the stage, I was blown away by how short she is, pahaha. They have such huge stage presence, it's easy to forget. And they really had to work to make the show engaging, because they were the main focus for the entire two hours. They never flagged or complained or dropped their energy.

but I might be getting too old for concerts, lol. My feet literally went numb, and I definitely had to sit down a few times. I'm ngl, there were a couple of lulls and some songs I don't think <.< needed to be on the setlist. Like "The Lighthouse" is an amazing song, but I don't think it's very good live. It felt like it really killed the energy, tbh. >.> That was probably the one song I really wish they had skipped. That and maybe "So Good." But it gave me a chance to sit down, pahaha, so it worked out. For the record, I know not every song should be high-energy, that would make for a boring and overstimulating show - but like, "Darling" and "100 Letters" were slower songs that were still super captivating in a way that "The Lighthouse" just.......wasn't.

But oh my god......y'all, I cried during "Darling" and then on into "100 Letters." I mean they literally started "Darling" by saying "A lot of people think I wrote this song for my son, but I actually wrong it for my first babies. I wrote it for you guys." and of course I was like "awwww" but then when everyone pulled out a light and Halsey sang it I just got so emotional. Like something about the line "until it's time to see the light, I'll make my own with you each night" hits so so SO different when you're literally standing in a sea of lights among other people who love Halsey as much as you do. And then they went into "100 Letters" and it was the stripped version, and that's one of my all-time favorite songs by them, and then line "but I don't let him touch me anymore" just means so much to me, and so when she sang that the floodgates just opened. (My friend who was with me had a very similar experience with "Graveyard" - Halsey's music just Does That.)

"Whispers" is incredible live. They looked so intense, and the difference between the whispers being, well, whispered, versus screamed by a crowd, just adds this whole other incredible element to it. I love songs where something painful and personal becomes something that brings people together, that lets people connect and feel less alone.

And during "Nightmare" everyone was singing and screaming so loud, and jumping up and down, and when the abortion stats were on screen everyone just started screaming even louder. And afterwards, Halsey talked about their thoughts on Roe v Wade, and talked about how if she hadn't had an abortion she wouldn't be here, her son wouldn't be here. And some people walked out (or chose a super bad time to go to the bathroom) but she just went right on talking about why it was so important. And then they led the "my body, my choice" chant and it was just. so cathartic, and healing. and empowering.

And all of the classics - Gasoline and Castle and Hold Me Down and Bad at Love and Colors and Hurricane - were as amazing to see as I knew they would be.

I can't believe the setlist was 26 songs, it went by so fast, it didn't feel like two hours at all. If it weren't for how sore I was (and lowkey sick, my stomach didn't like all the jumping around and I had to puke in the parking lot,) I would've stood there all night listening to them sing and talk.

They sound so so so amazing live. Like I think some of the power of their voice is lost on recordings. Red Rocks also has some of the best acoustics for concerts in the world, so that just made everything she sang sound even better. But I was constantly impressed by how beautiful and rich and powerful their voice was. Halsey's vocals have never been the most important thing about her to me - I'm definitely a bigger fan of their lyrics and their concepts and their visual art style. But that concert gave me a whole new appreciation for how talented they are as a vocalist.

It was like. Truly one of the most incredible nights of my life. I'll post some videos if you guys promise not to make fun of my voice lmao. I was definitely not concerned with how I sounded, I was just taking the recordings for me, so there is talking/my own singing over it. Fair warning, haha.

But yeah. I'm so grateful that I got to go. I'll never forget it. I didn't think it was possible for me to love and respect Halsey more as an artist, performer, and singer, but I walked away from that show with even more appreciation for her.

If the anime isn't out yet, I gotta watch it as soon as it DOES come out." (I'm an anime only, because I almost always give characters the exact same voice if I have nothing to go off of 😒 I struggle with it fr fr. anYWAY—) So, I don't... Think? I'd read part 2 yet, tbh I think I completely forgot about it, the memory is NOT good, I'm so sorry! So when the anime DID come out, I wasn't actually aware 😅 until they uploaded episode, like... 10? Or 11? Of the English Dub? AnywAY! THE POINT Is, I started watching because of things I've read, I was TIRED of looking up every single character when I read about them 😭 SO, I watched, got caught up to where it is now, and am waiting for the next episode, and you mention 2 of Cups part 3 is coming out, and I was like "oH SHIT, I REMEMBER READING PART 1!" So, I went back, read parts 1 and 2, absolutely ADORED them, despite the pain 🥹 Like, Rin's pining, but not wanting to do anything because of SAE, that little bitch, that won't admit he's the sAME and keeps being an AsS when Rea-chan and Rin are even remotely affectionate, AaAAAAHHHH! It's my birthday today :)

I'm finally 16 sweet 16 y'know I guess some huge life changes will happen soon people say once you turn 16 it's like your life just changes around. It's kinda crazy I'm not to sure what's gonna happen to me now that I'm "so mature" I still feel very childlike, my grandfather took me to build a bear yesterday and I still play with stuffed animals. But that's okay. I also think you'll be happy that I'm here with good news, I'm feeling really good. O feel happy and like fucking alive and things in my life are going pretty great. I, in all honesty, I haven't felt this just... Okay... Is so fucking long, it's like things are making sense now. Things are okay. It's weird I've been getting better this year, I mean I've definitely has my setbacks, but I haven't self harmed since last December, and I passed all my classes, that algebra class I passed with a 68% (64% is fail) my dad's disappointed in me but the teacher was shit and I tried my best so it's whatever honestly, being more carefree has been so much better. I got straight A's in all my other classes! So my GPA's like 3.1? Or smth idk I'm trying. But schools over. Summer is my good months, I hate the hot weather but having a few months without school is amazing, being able to stay away from bullies is incredible that's really the only thing that's so I'll been bothering me nowadays plus, over summer everyone forgets everything so hopefully theirs nothing else to bully me about next year. Maybe this summer I'll have like a glow up or smth? Probably not lol. Though, I have been going to the gym, but I'm not looking to change my body I have enough issues with that as it is. Anyways, it feels so much better to just be okay. My birthday was great and I'm feeling good. We actually celebrated last week because of the court date with my mom so my whole family could be together I got some new Markers, and A PlayStation (🫣in excited) and some new shoes it's been a really great day. I'm really excited we celebrate last week haha because (I'm sure you guessed it) I'm sick again! I'm telling you I never stop being sick it's constant, I have a sinus infection (A FUCKING GAIN) AND STREP so I'm spending my birthday eating my favorite foods (like ice cream, nice on my sore throat) and finishing up these antibiotics, I'm pretty sure the last time I wrote here I was sick then too?? I think? It might have been stomach related I honestly can't fucking remember I'm sick all the time.(along with Juvenile Arthritis, which APPERNLY I HAVE, just another thing to add to the list 🙄) But I don't really mind. I have TV to watch and I'm doing OK.

I know things like this dont last forever but im happy right now and honestly I think I'm okay with just staying for a while how stuff is. Ill have up and downs and my (phisical) health isn't too awesome but I'm doing the best I can to help it

AWWW! Omg, happy birthday! I'm so so happy to hear that you are doing a little better right now, especially on your birthday. I hope you got all the ice cream you wanted. And that's very sweet that you went to build-a-bear. I've been meaning to go for a while myself once I have the spending money to splurge. I kinda want a K.K slider bear...(dog? Idk about the technicalities with that lol). And it's totally not a bad thing to still be fond of cute stuff like that. What matters is that you like it! And nobody else should have any issue with something as wholesome as being yourself.

I used to really enjoy Summer because of the nice break from school too. And I didn't have many friends, but the few I did have were very fun to be around. I hope you have someone like that in your life. Please enjoy the break, whether you spend it with others or at your own time. I know that algebra class you mentioned was stressing you out hardcore. You passed and you tried your absolute damn best. That's all that matters. (I'm proud of you.)

It sucks you're feeling sick, but I hope that also gets better with time. Coincidentally, I also had Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis (I was diagnosed at 15) and the biggest tip I can give you is to become aware of and come to terms with your own limits. I had not taken good care of myself when I turned 18 and my RA kinda spiraled out of control, which caused me to develop lupus very soon after. So, you know, take it kind of seriously and be kind to your body. You mentioned you're going to the gym, which is great! Staying active is super good for preventing joint pain. But also don't forget to take breaks. The good news is that these sort of chronic illnesses can go into remission under the right care. <3
