Nikita Gill wrote, “How do you go back to being strangers with someone who has seen your soul?” The answer is easy. Never try to get to know them back. Never try to see THEIR soul. Because as much as you have seen the deepest part of someone’s soul, if they never bothered to see yours, you will inevitably go back to being strangers.

“In another life, another time, I could have been yours and you could have been mine”. I am so tired of hearing that. Exhausted beyond belief from the way we hid behind later.
Because it is always later. Not now, Never now. And so we always seek something to blame us on. That maybe next time it will work. Im so tired.
I’m so tired K.R- 11/29

metida en este bucle
no puedo salir
tal vez no quiero hacerlo
sinceramente,
lo detesto
pero lo quiero a mi lado
todo el tiempo
y lo quiero tan fuerte

Clarity
Sorrow, O sorrow, moves like a loose flock of blackbirds sweeping over the metal roofs, over the birches,                      and the miles.      One wave after another, then another, then the sudden
opening where the feathered swirl, illumined by dusk, parts to reveal  the weeping                       heart of all things.

One small and unsuspecting piece of being
You were a wonderful experience she said
And got on the bus
And didn’t look back
Because moments happen
And life happens
And the whole of everything you are is made of both of these things
Thank you
Driving away I am left somewhere new as she takes away the pieces of me I was with her
Watching that life become another is heart breaking
I am sad for all the things that never happened
And I’m sad for everything that did
And still
You were a wonderful experience
And you led me to the rest of my life
We are butterflies
Just spinning on through time
Running into the moments and the people that we need
So chaotically cosmically organized
Of course I met you.
There is no world in which that doesn’t happen
Because it happened.
Nothing meant for you will ever go to anyone else
The things you are
The words you say
The being that is experienced by others
You are a human being
And you may play all you like
And the fireflies may dance when you kiss
And the bus may drive away
And we may make mistake after mistake
And I am here sobbing and holding the tiny pieces of my broken heart before you as you leave
And still
And still
You were a wonderful experience
thank you for being

You're a dog. You love like a dog. You love like a dog and one day you'll die like one too, because all you know how to do is wait like Hachikō and beg like Old Yellow. It's pitiful. You spend your life waiting for men, when you want to be loved like a dog

2023 NOVEMBER POEM-A-DAY CHAPBOOK CHALLENGE: DAY 1 ~ WHAT MORE CAN I SAY?
WHAT MORE CAN I SAY? © 2023 - G. Smith (BMI) ==================== I love you! I love you! What more can I say? I knew it was true, The very first day! I love you! I love you! Why can't you see? You're worth the whole world, To me, to me...
I love you! I love you! How else can I show; This is more than mere words, And I need you to know! I love you! I love you! In whole, not in part. Whatever it takes, Take my heart! Take my heart!
What more can I say? What more can I do? What more can I give? I give it all to just you.
I love you! I love you! From now through all time; 'til the sands all run out, 'til there is no more rhyme. I love you! I love you! Come what will or what may, I always will love you; What more can I say? I always will love you; What more can I say?
Write a DECLARATION poem... 𝖌

In April
Rainer Maria Rilke
Again the woods are odorous, the lark
Lifts on upsoaring wings the heaven gray
That hung above the tree-tops, veiled and dark,
Where branches bare disclosed the empty day.
After long rainy afternoons an hour
Comes with its shafts of golden light and flings
Them at the windows in a radiant shower,
And rain drops beat the panes like timorous wings.
Then all is still. The stones are crooned to sleep
By the soft sound of rain that slowly dies;
And cradled in the branches, hidden deep
In each bright bud, a slumbering silence lies.
