Time for everyone’s favorite
IAN’S SHINING HUNTING CORNER
Shiny Castform was found in January, and the shiny Spoink found this morning in May!
Here they are in Colosseum! Look how angrier the shiny’s icons are ajdhdkjs (threw my shiny Marshtomp I got around Christmas in here too)

Today my partner and I finished our main-game playthrough of Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire. This was actually my first time clearing Hoenn, and was exciting. Steven is no pushover, woof!
Because my illness knows no bounds, I drew my Pokémon Ruby Trainer. The single-ball Groudon menace and the steamrolling over-leveller to under-leveller who was slowed down and took 6 attempts to defeat Champion Steven (as opposed to my partner’s single attempt. You’re so cool, I adore you).
This game’s very special. I hope whatever Pokémon Co. decides to announce this year is something that can bring similar joy.

@absoltastic has spoken!! You know what that means… Safari Week is soon upon us!!
Safari Week is a shiny hunting event where you hunt in a Safari Zone! Finding a shiny is fun enough, now with the added thrill of the Pokémon potentially running away!!
Note: The Friend Safari in X and Y is not technically a Safari Zone, so while you can hunt there if you want, it’s not quite in the spirit of the event.
Here’s some Safari Week compilations from TheSupremeRk9s, absolblogspokemon, sonikks, and gen3hunter!
If this seems interesting to you, hope to see you out in the Safari June 2nd-11th!
Bonus tips: Get a White Flute and a Pokemon that knows Illuminate at the front of your party (Chinchou, Lantern) and your encounters will be doubled! In the Hoenn Safari Zone, you can bunny hop on the Acro bike to avoid being kicked! In the Great Marsh, have a Pokemon who knows Sweet Scent to make encounters faster!

So I found this interesting Pokémon magazine at my Publix today
(I apologize for the bad quality my phone camera is shit)
Basically it covers everything about the franchise in short spurts, from the creation of the series, just some fun random tidbits, the anime, shortly goes over all the games and some of the ideas behind making them along with the card games and the mobile games and at the end there’s a fun little quiz, as to be expected though it doesn’t mention the manga or any side games besides PLA.
It’s pretty interesting and it reminds me of the magazines that’d come out during when the series was first a big thing to try and teach parents why their kids are obsessing over some weird onion frog lol.
It does seem to be a one off thing unfortunately and not a magazine series dedicated to Pokémon which sucks but it’s a fun read and I enjoyed it! (It was also 14$ which is way overpriced in my opinion but did have a lot of pages)
