Kosa is the most horrifying thing to think about. Sometimes I want to forget about it but I know that won’t stop it from flying through congress and into law.

Teens will not have ways to learn about what’s happening in the world. Marginalized groups will not have the internet spaces that they do. Mental and sexual health will be censored. Activism will be censored. Everything important that you care about is going to be censored. They do this on purpose, especially to the youth, to keep us uninformed and unrepresented.

I don’t have the words to express how much this scares me. This will impact us all regardless of age, but for now I’m still a minor and it’s even scarier. I have friends younger than me who will have to endure it for longer than I do. I’m completely terrified because we are about to be trapped.

US: Anti-Trans Legislative Risk Assessment Map: New Adult Map

Erin Reed has published new versions of her transgender risk assessment maps, adding a new map for trans adults.

Erin points out that as far as young people go most states have polarized into two main camps—either imposing blanket restrictions on trans youth or extending protections to them:

Consequently, the old map has lost much of its granularity, largely reducing to two colors: red and blue. Yet, the situation for transgender adults remains less uniform, as many states targeting youth have not yet extended such legislation to adults. 

The map above depicts the status for young trans people, the map below is for adults. Red colors for high risk, blue colors for low risk and safe states. Black is for the transphobic nightmare that is Flordia.

As we enter farther into late stage capitalism we bare witness to a phenomenon which is quite unlike the revolutionary fall of other economic systems of the past (like feudalism/monarchies in the french rev (as symbolism for the implementation of capitalism as the new global system)). Not completely unlike aristocrats who, historically, were openly and publicly drowning in luxury and lavish. For the uber-wealthy in the west, relatability seems to be key to their personas. They still sit in their metaphorical (or not) castle on the hill, yet they do so by appealing to the working class with pleas of ‘im just like u’ or ‘this pandemic has been hard for all of us’. Seemingly to gain solidarity or even sympathy from the working class. However, with class consciousness rising almost as much as grocery prices, i don’t believe more apology videos in sweatpants and messy buns will save the bourgeoisies’ heads in the next Terror. The more the people see cosplays of working at walmart, the less faint it seems the memory of the women marching on versailles becomes. ‘Let them eat cake’ comes in many forms people!!!

Some of you need to realize that being a leftist doesn’t automatically make you a good person, nor does it make you immune to being a bigot. And it most certainly does not give you an excuse to discriminate against other people or mean that your own prejudices must be for the right reasons because you’re a leftist who can do no wrong. I’ve come across plenty of people on here who call themselves radical leftists or communists who preach violence and Nazi ideology. I’ve seen Nazi groups take advantage of that and try to swoop in and recruit those people, and they were probably successful. There are a concerning number of leftists who are only leftists and not conservatives because they want to feel morally superior (and just superior in general) to others. And they are absolutely invested in spreading bigotry and upholding the status quo under the guise of some leftist ideology to keep themselves feeling superior. I.e., if everyone were actually equal, they wouldn’t be able to pretend to support oppressed people, so they don’t actually want equality at all.
